Ok...a little better on food today:

B-2 eggs on toast, light OJ
L-yogurt, cupcake, diet 7up
S-watermelon, twizzlers
D-BBQ pork chop, scalloped potatoes, frozen corn, 3 rolls, skim milk
S-watermelon

Just talked to my guide and she said there wouldn't be dues on the 2006 points and she is checking availabilty for DVC. She said she wouldn't be able to until tomorrow though! I can't wait that long!!! ;) If we can get a studio for June it will end up saving us almost $900 over staying at SOG. That would be awesome!! :wizard:

Any of you DVC'ers feel like checking on avail. for me?? Pretty please? I don't have a member number yet since I just put down the deposit yesterday. It would be 6/23-7/2....any DVC studio. TIA!!!!! :flower3:

:goodvibes thanks Peeps :goodvibes

My heart is in my throat! Its sunday, I'm hoping if he waited this long he can wait another 24 hours - Lynda that's where he went 2 years ago for his first stone (he had blood in his urine, and hs gf/df made him go to that eR - it was the beginning of a long series of hospitals - he got the shunt, he got the shockwave...) Right now he doesnt have his cell phone charged, so who knows... :confused3 dratted kids when they are far from home and need mom!

Sounds like he had some bad ones last time! I hope this time is not that bad, and I hope he feels better very soon!

lynda - i meant to comment on how good your hair looks! don't you just love getting your hair did! ;) i just got mine done the other day and i loves it! but i get bored with it really fast. and it grows soooooo fast so when i get highlights it's hard to keep up with the new growth - i'll probably end up changing the color again when we get back from disney!

by the way, about your *problem* down below.....have you tried mineral oil? that always works for me when i have that problem. i just do a shot (literally a shot in a shot glass) before bedtime and then in the morning my problem usually goes away. and the mineral oil doesn't taste bad. it doesn't taste like anything really....just oily. so i always chase it with cold water to swish around in my mouth so i don't have that nasty oiliness. just a suggestion!

My hair grows really fast too! We are having to adjust the timing of my cuts now that I have more layers. It looks like I'll be going every 4 weeks!

Thanks! Where would I pick up mineral oil. I've never bought it before. :confused3 This *problem* is something I have to deal with from time to time, so having some on hand might be a good idea...just in case.

Not to toot my own horn or anything but.....

There are NO 2's in my number!!!!!

That's a cryptic message ;) only a true dieting peep would "get"...but YAY ME!

you can get it at any CVS or eckerd or somewhere like that. i think they even have it in grocery stores! it should be with the laxatives. like i said, i just do a shot of it at bedtime and then wash it down with cold water. i took some friday night and today it "worked". so it doesn't always work the very next day....but it will eventually work! i guess it just depends on what's in your system at the time.

Oh, and church was great! The service was great. I saw a friend I haven't seen in years. Saw the minister who married DH and I. (He's so good!) It was beautiful outside, and we took DH's aunt out to lunch and shopping afterwards because she has lost 50# and needed some new clothes. Still gorgeous outside, and not sure what we are doing, but I think we going to go take the convertible for a short drive. I'll check in later! :) Hope everyone is having a great weekend and a day as beautiful as the one we are having here!

Audition didnt go too well. Even though this is her eigth year dancing, it is her first year of ballet and there was a lot of stuff she didnt know how to do. I was expecting this and I thought DD understood this as well. She has never wanted to do something and failed. I know this was a good lesson for her but its a hard one to watch. Thanks for cheering her on though.

I'm sorry to hear that! I remember competing in tons of horse shows when I was little and throwing fits in the back of my parents car on the way home when I lost...which was a lot!! It must have helped though b/c now I could care less about losing at shows although my pride still gets a little bruised! I hope she bounces back and can just become stronger from it!! :flower3:

I still remember my first really bad audtion. There was so much I didnt know and I felt it. It was bad. Waiting for the rejection letter was worse though. My mom inercepted it in the mail so she could help me though it. I know it is a hard lesson, but just be there to listen. She will grow from it and know even better what she is in for next time.:grouphug:

Ok day on the food front here. DH and I are still arguing over what is for dinner...and it is 7:30 now. I am getting angrier by the minute. He says he doesnt care, so then I get soemthing ready to make and he says he isnt int he mood for it. Yet he has no ideas on what he IS in the mood for.

Anyone know how many calories in cotton candy??? There was a small fair here we went to today an I had some of DD's cotton candy, not a ton because it wasnt great. At least I recognized it wasnt great and stopped before wasting a ton of calories on it. At least it is fat free!

I only gained 1/2 pound which is better than I expected!
DD went to New York for the weekdn with her drama group. She just called to say they met the cast of the play they just saw. I dont know the actors except for David Hyde Pierce, the guy from Frazier.

belle8306 - do you know how many calories that taco soup is? i'm not doing weight watchers, just calorie counting. if you don't know, do you know if the weight watchers website has the calorie count listed? thanks!!!

I'm sorry I don't know the calories. I think it is about 50 cals to make a point (WW members please correct me if I am wrong:confused3 ). I got it from a really great WW site (not official) it is called bootcamp buddies. They have a lot of great recipies and tips. www.healthdiscovery.net go into the forum area. OK catching up...

UM, congrats on the no-2!

Lynda, your hair looks fab-oo. I need a haircut.

The "story" was great!

Prom was long, long ago and far, far away so no idea on the corsages.

I had another bad eating day. However, from 11AM-6PM we completely re-did our yard. We planted 16 trees (14 4' leyland cypress and 2 5' arbovitae), mulched the front and back beds (14 bags of mulch), and planted about 10 flowery plants. Then we took everything off the patio in the back (which is about 30' x 12') and scrubbed it down. Also moved the fountain and scrubbed it out. Whee.

Combined w/ the 5 yrs of planting yesterday.... I am exhausted. Like can't get up off my chaise exhausted. We did hit the hot tub for a while so hopefully I might be able to leverage myself off my chair tomorrow at work!

Today I ate mexican for dinner, but it was all I had had all day. Also did and am doing a bit of :drinking1.

We also bought a security system for our house this weekend. Makes me sleep so much better. :cloud9:

I don't think there is a deadline...you might want to make a reservation though for the free dining just incase all the rooms are gone when you try to reserve later. They will ask for $200 down but you can easily get that back as long as you cancel 45 days before your trip.

I am coming by myself..DH can't take off from work. I am taking two days unpaid, which stinks, but the FD pays it back! I am just going 9/21-9/25. The big Peep dinner is Sun the 23rd. Hope you could make that!!! :wizard:

Snow WELCOME BACK!! And I do think there IS a deadline - June 24?? for the free dining anyway, it was in today's Sunday paper, the travel section - most of us got into the Pop, call tomorrow, reserve it for 2 days w/o a down payment, the down payment is $200 and then the rest is due Aug - - 45 days before Sept 22 or whenever you want to come, some are just coming for just the weekend...

Prom??? did someone post about PROM??? just gleaned about flowers, when I went to prom, nosegays were THE thing!! :rotfl2: DS now his gf and all the girls, its wrist coursages PERIOD!! :rotfl2: And ds 19 his gf is a senior in hs (just named valvectorian!! ) so he's going - luckily the store we rented a tux last year Prom, still had all his info, I said "can we just reorder the same size and style, but different colored vest and shirt?" Um... ok why not!!

SpongieMistyMomma Is everyone healthy?

I somehow did something and dd let me cut her hair - and IT TURNED OUT ADORABLE!! :cool1: My grandmother was a beautician, and I pretend to be one sometimes!!

I went to both of mine and both sucked. My senior year my BF refused to take me so I had to go with my best guy friend. He thought my BF would beat him up if we danced so we just sat at the table all night. Lovely. I hated high school and, like you, was glad it was over!!!

oh, god.......prom! blah! you think it's going to be the best night of your life and then you look back and wonder why you even wasted the money! :lmao: my junior year i went with the best friend of the slimeball ex-boyfriend who had just cheated on me like 2 weeks prior just to make the slimeball ex-boyfriend mad. my date was a total dork and the entire night was awkward and awful! my senior year was a bit better. i was dating DH then, but i didn't ask him because he was 21 and i thought it would be "uncool" to ask him to come to a high school prom. i went with a good friend and we had fun, but it was mostly forgettable! the guy i went with my senior year was killed in a car wreck a couple of years ago - he was a REALLY nice guy, too. so sad. :sad1:

just call me debbie downer!!!!!!

:rotfl2: OK, here is my Prom story...

First background. My dad got a job promotion my sophomore year in high school, they required him to be within a certain radius.. he mapped it out, we moved to tHE RIVAl HIGH SCHOOl! Being a "good girl" I joined different clubs. and tried... my senior year I missed my homeys (I had been at Portage HS since Kindergarten!) so I started ditching (with permission from my HS - long story, involved Future Teachers of America and a 2nd grade class!) and ended up back with my old clique... and this young dude was in my place!! We were band geeks.

So, my new high school went to Disney to march in the parade in my senior year - and I had to have some music transposed... couldnt admit it to snobby new school, so mentioned it to old clique, my dh raised his hand... and he transposed my music and asked about the itinarary...

and while at a hotel in Florida he called me and asked me to Prom (turns out another guy who was much taller also planned on asking me to senior prom! :rotfl2: ) and of course I said yes!!

So, I went to my Senior Prom with dh... even tho we went to different high schools, we were high school sweethearts... I know its sickening isnt it!

Mind you he was a year behind me, so I had to go to his senior prom.. and in the land of what goes around, its weird that DS now is in college going to his gf's prom!!

Minnie Moo and Dweatl- Here is the Taco Soup recipe I was mentioning. I would love to have the chili recipe if you wouldn't mind Minnie.

Taco Soup
1 cup with beef-4 points
1 cup made without beef -1 point

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
3 15 oz. cans of Mexican (Ranch Style) beans-DO NOT DRAIN
1 15 oz. can of corn DO NO DRAIN
1 14 oz. can chopped tomatoes DO NOT DRAIN
1 14 oz. can tomato sauce DO NOT DRAIN
1 1/2 cups water
1 4 1/2 oz. can chopped chilies (I am leaving these out. DH isn't a fan)
1 pk (2 1/2 oz.) taco seasoning
1 1 oz package of ranch (hidden valley) style salad dressing mix

Brown ground beef and onion. Drain. Add all other ingredients together and bring to a boil. Simmer for 30 min.
Thanks so much, Belle! I have saved it on my computer. The WW white chicken chili recipe is on my work computer, so I'll try to post it tomorrow. Feel free to remind me if I forget - I'm always pretty busy at work.

Did you all hear we had an earthquake?:scared1: It was about 30/40 miles from me, we felt nothing! Luckily only 1 person was hurt but it caused loads of damage. It was about a 4.7 whatever that means not sure what's a big quake? We never ever have quakes so it's all a bit of a panic overhere at one point it was thought it was an explosion!

Jo, I did not hear about the earthquake. 4.7 is definitely noticeable, like someone backed their pickup truck into your house. Glad everyone survived.
We just had a gas tanker overturn and explode on a freeway about 50 miles from here. Everyone survived, but it melted the freeway and caused the level above it to collapse.

Hi Spongie!

Today was my grand-niece's first b-day. She is adorable! They had homemade cupcakes in one of those cupcake tier thingies, which looked pretty, cost little, and meant fewer calories because the cupcakes were about half the size of a full serving of cake. Something to think about when b-days come along.

Good night all.

I used to cut the girls' hair when they were little but no more. If it turned out badly there would be much drama, I fear. DSIL took DD13 to get her hair cut/highlighted recently to the tune of $130! I KNOW! Great Clips ain't lookin so hot to her anymore.
I went to both of mine and both sucked. I went to FOUR proms in high school. Not many memorable moments for me either to me honest. Just wanted to go. And I agree....I'd never want to relive those years.

NO deadline but just inform me if you book and add the number to your ressie and if youll be atttending any of the peep meets like PI on the 22nd ohanas on the 23 fireworks cruise the 24 konas on the 28

Thsirt size and name too! DH wasnt too happy with the idea. We really cannot afford for me to go.DD is starting college in the fall. I had hoped to be able to come for weekend the 21-23rd to be there for the dinner and say hello to everyone. Do you guys do this often? Is this an annual event or a first time?

WELCOME BACK!!! We need to hear the highlights!

I was so bummed about my 1/2 lb weight gain but after reading comments here it seems I didnt do so bad.
The highlights:
Arrived Fri 4/13 checked in,went to Boma and to pool then decided to go to EMH (unplanned) at MK for few hours. We rode BTMR,Jungle Cruise and Pirates. We went to Mickey's Philharmagic where we fell asleep and decided it was time to go back.
Sat- I ended up with very swollen heels and had to use scooter
Sun- it was raining and scooters cannot get wet so we did AK in the rain. We were soaked to the bone in line for Nemo. The show is cute but unlike Lion King the puppeteers are more obtrusive and I found it very hard to stay focused. We froze due to wet in the AC.
We hit all the parks in one day one day.
My DS took off for 3 hiurs at Typhoon lagoon due to a miscommunication-I communicated but his 14 yr old ears didnt listen-very scary day! I was so worried.
My sister arrived Thurs and we went to all 4 parks in 2 days. She has panic attacks in crowds and I was sick so we had to modify the pace a bit.
We loved the Jack Sparrow Pirate tutorial. Mack is a hoot.
We did Chef Mickey at last seating and were last family to leave so kids got a lot of time with characters. I got a lot of cute pics.
We took limo to airport and came home last Sun. Been working and we are all still fighting a viral infection and laryngitis.
I never feel we have a long enough trip ;)
Went to comedy club at DTD and HOB
Had a terrible experience with a bus driver. Every other driver had been patient and kind about me needing park scooter and get my cane to transfer to seat for safety. This guy yelled at me when I questioned why he was doing it differently than the rest. He told me to shut up or he would call supervisor to have me removed from bus! It ws awful. Well, I had him call supervisor and as it turns out he was removed from his job. The supervisor drve us back and sent us Tinkerbell pin sets, fast passes and an apology letter. What a jerk. The guy had been there 4 months and was upsetting passengers.

Snowwite, BOO on that awful bus driver! Thanks for the update. Sounds like other than that, your poor heels, and your DS losing himself temporarily, you had a pretty good trip! I have always felt that a bad day at Disney is better than most good days anywhere else :rolleyes1

Congrats, Punkin, on your new bling!!!

Dont know how I missed this yesterday! CONGRATS!!!

I'm a loser and didn't go to my Prom. I went to my junior prom and had a horrible time though!

No one asked and I really was not that bummed out about it. High school didn't totally suck but I wasn't exactly crying when I left!
Ditto that exactly. I had friends and still talk to one or 2 of them...but the rest of them I could take or leave, and was glad when I left them.

I somehow did something and dd let me cut her hair - and IT TURNED OUT ADORABLE!! :cool1: My grandmother was a beautician, and I pretend to be one sometimes!!
Pictures?????

Yeah, I think we were born like a month apart. My junior prom was better than my senior prom. Oh! Should I find those pics and post?!?:scared: :lmao:
OMG, I think I burned all mine :rotfl: Pink poofy dress, my date wore a GREY tux, ugh. Very early 90's. In fact, I really didnt care if I went at all but my mom was convinced I would regret it if I didnt go. So I went with a friend of the family's son- we had been friends for our whole lives really but went to different schools. Well, he had a big time crush on me that I wasnt aware of, his mom wanted us to get married, and I was SO not interested in him in that way. He was crushed that I wasnt, because he thought that was why we were going to prom together. Big mess. And we never really were friends after that. :sad2: He always made excuses not to come when the familes got together. I feel bad now writing this all out! I wasnt mean to him but I certainly didnt encourage his crush either. OH, and he and my now DH used to play on their HS soccer team together. I found that out a yr or 2 after I met my DH...over 6 yrs after HS!

:So, I went to my Senior Prom with dh... even tho we went to different high schools, we were high school sweethearts... I know its sickening isnt it!

Mind you he was a year behind me, so I had to go to his senior prom.. and in the land of what goes around, its weird that DS now is in college going to his gf's prom!!
Awww...that is really sweet!

since you guys have been talking about prom, thought you'd get a kick out of these.

my mom and dad's senior prom picture, circa 1972 (about 4 years before i was born).......

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n187/punkin413/File0035.jpg

my dad is really a brunette, but my mom bleached his hair especially for the prom. doesn't he look groovy!!??!! :lmao: anyway, not sure what kind of corsage that is. it looks like she's holding a bouquet??? i'll have to ask her about that one.

my senior prom picture, circa 1994........

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n187/punkin413/File0034.jpg

okay, obviously i take after my dad in the bad-hair-at-senior-prom department. i have no clue why the roots look so brown and the ends look so blonde. i think it was the flash of the camera that made it so extreme. but obviously i needed to get my roots did!!! it's not so bad in the picture below.......and UMA, as you can see, we wore wrist corsages then, too. and they're apparently tricky to put on!

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n187/punkin413/File0036.jpg

the next day i went to see pink floyd at vanderbilt stadium with DH......WAY more fun than prom! then the next day after that i cut all my hair off to chin length and had my prom date shave the back up underneath my hair. i was such a little grunge girl!

i couldn't find any of my junior prom. i think i've tried to erase all evidence of that one!

LOVE dad's tux! My DS called me yesterday to ask how much a tux rental is...I said, "Prom is May 12, you MAY want to consider shopping for that now in case they need to alter your tux". Hel-LO?? He's the type of kid to get a funky velvet one or something with ruffles! OY!!!

Your poor DD at least it was experience though not that it makes it any better!

Hey Hey...I finally made it to 500 (the actual 500th post was over on my Pre-TR). It only took 4 years to do it

Wooo hooty!

Whooo hooo to UMama too :cheer2:

Been for a huge walk today, we needed to go into town for a few bits but mainly to buy some dollars as the rate is so good at the moment, so we thought we'd park about 2 miles away and walk along the river which is really pretty. Well we were half way back and guess what we had forgotten the $ :rotfl2: We weren't going back though!

eeyore How is DS?

My senior prom was 1984. Back in the "olden" days prom took place in the high school gym. The prom committee spent weeks making paper decorations to disguise the gym. Everybody went to eat before prom. We drove our own cars - no limo rentals. And prom was over by 10 pm.

Prom 2007:

DD1 going with senior BF. Dress: 350, shoes 65, prom fee 25, our part of the limo 85, pictures 30, BF is paying for flowers, limo, tux, his prom fee and dinner. Sure is cheep to have a son! My DS didnt want to go to either of his proms. We do wrist corsages here. Last years was on a rinestone type stretchy bracelet , petite white roses- very pretty. Prom is no longer in the gym- its at the Sheraton- YIKES! But I like the idea of the limo. The kids arent out driving. They can cut up and just be kids in the car and I dont worry about the driver being distracted and there is some control over where they go and when they come home- the driver is paid for "x" number of hours. So $85 is worth that peace of mind. Last year the limo driver called ahead to the resturant that the kids wanted to go and there was an 1.5 hr wait- they wouldnt accept reservations- the kids didnt want to wait so the driver called some other resturants in town and found them a place with no wait. Now that is service.

Yes, Proms in the late '70s we did indeed have to have a bouquet! :confused3 I will have to dig up a pic, y'all need a good laugh!!

DS - I called the acute care center at Univ of IL and the nurse said they'd take him as soon as he came in... (mind you he wanted to go to the ER last night) I call DS - ok I'll do that - I say, they'll get you a ct scan and we'll talk by phone and evaluate the next step - I'll either come get you, or I'll come down there and be with you!!

TWO HOURS LATER - nothin, no phone call... I call him. HE's STILL IN HIS ROOM! He decided to wait and talk to his professor! :faint: (apparently he is trying to get out of his classes adn put his finals on hold so if he has to be in the hospital, he's set! but first GET TO THE DOCTOR!)

Prom... yuck. I don't even want to think about mine.

I am sooooo tired and sore today. Thos 16 trees yesterday kicked my butt along with the yardwork from Saturday. I am back on the wagon, though, from my weekend of super-bad eating. Hopefully the scale won't be too bad on Friday, even w/ AF making an appearance tomorrow.

P.S. If he's at UIUC, tell him to call the Emergency Dean and he should keep copies of any documentation from the hospital/Dr. if he is going to miss a final.

Now to introduce myself. I participate a little more regularly on the events/competition board as I am currently training for two 1/2 marathons (one in Chicago in August and at WDW in January). I had my second baby in August and still need to lose at least 30 pounds. I thought that training would cause those 30 pounds to magically melt away, but of course, they are not. I haven't lost a thing in almost two months and I am desperate for some motivation. So here I am!

This seems like a great group and I hope you don't mind if I jump on in.

WELCOME :welcome: party:

we love newbies here!! A few pages ago (I'm sure Lexmelinda has the # - she's the organizer!!) we introduced ourselves!!

I just joined the event/competition thread - dh has convinced me that I can do a 1/2 marathon... :faint: but I perked up when he mentioned WDW!!

Thanks for your kind words, I just came here to let everyone know DS is now sitting in the doctor's room... waiting for the knock the doctor is coming in..

I didnt know about the emergency dean, but he did, that's what he was working on this morning - :goodvibes

He's in Champaign - actually I have 2 boys there!! One 19 is a Music Major, and this DS is 21 History major (and he's hard of hearing, which complicates things a bit!)

Thank you so much for joining our group!! Utahthreadmama has challenged us to lose 20# by Sept (Free Dining = 1 # week before we go!) We just started last Friday!!

This seems like a great group and I hope you don't mind if I jump on in.
Welcome! :goodvibes Jump right in. This group is very motivating, I would have quit long ago if it wasnt for my peeps!

Darn it- did they move the smilies again? The cheerleader isnt where she is supposed to be. UGH.

Well, I must confess my peeps. I was naughty at lunch. DD wanted Mcd's and I thought I could stay strong. Nope. One wiff of those fries and I was done for. It has been weeks now, I have been so good...and blammo, I blew it. I was gonna get fries with my salad, but the cheapo in me didnt want to spend the extra $1 it would have cost to do that, so I got a value meal...with a burger  At least I got diet coke, right? :rotfl: I am counting the calories for it though and moving on with my day. I will hit the treadmill today for extra exercise (I taught dance this am) so that ought to help a little.

I have an appt thisi afternoon with a plastic surgeon  Just a consultation about having the :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc made smaller. This guy is really well known and I had to wait close to 6 weeks for the consult. Wish me luck....I am nervous :scared: I went to a different guy a month or so ago, and he was ok but I didnt really care for his personality (he was sort of matter of fact about everything), and I need to feel 100% comfortable with whoever I trust to do this, you know?!

Utahthreadmama has challenged us to lose 20# by Sept (Free Dining = 1 # week before we go!) We just started last Friday!!

thank goodness he is on top of things! Hope all goes well with the doctor.

Welcome Meghan!

Hello Peeps!
Hope you all are having a great Monday!

Punkin - I'm so jealous that you're leaving Saturday. Although I guess I should not complain since I have a trip in 3 weeks and another one in 5 weeks. But that week leading up to a trip is always so exciting. At least I think so. Winkers - Just remembered you're leaving even sooner! Ok, I'm really jealous of you!

I should be getting all my client paperwork, syllabi, notes, etc organized for the new semester, but all I want to do is look at Disney stuff, plan my trip(s) and buy clothes or shoes! Not good for school or my wallet!

I'm looking to get two Pin Starter kits for the kids but the ones I've seen on Ebay are just about the same price as those at Disney! Or more! No thanks. Am I looking in the wrong place? I don't care what it is, as long it's something girl-ish and something boy-ish.

And I'm terrified to go back to WW this week. I'm hoping I didn't find the "2" that UtahMama lost. I'm having the hardest time getting back on track. And Aunt Flo is coming this week. Wonderful. Send some skinny juice my way please!

Sounds like he is on top of things. I am in Champaign, too, and I work in Academic Advising. I am currently spending most of my time reading petitions from students who need an extension due to illness or some other emergency. Not much fun, but it is important work.

I would love to lost 20 pounds by September and that sounds like a realistic goal. Count me in!

Well, I'll be darned! There's a local peep here! Meghan, I work for the second largest employer in town behind U of I...Carle! And based on your username, I think we might have something else in common. ;)

i know! the first thing she said when i picked up the phone was, "we're going with you guys next time!" she said the guy didn't want to wait in the line, and it was only like 20 minutes! the bad part is they have two little boys who would've loved to have seen the animals. i don't get it......why pay for a ticket when all you do is walk around and complain? :confused3

We are definitely ride peeps. The only thing DH won't do is the teacups and the dumbo-esque rides, but the latter is more for a weight thing than anything else. He even got me on summit plummet!

We leave in 11 days for a 5 night trip. Whee! I fully expect to be a few lbs heavier on the way back, but I am not going to sweat it, just jump back on the wagon.

I am back on track today. So far I have had a Healthy Choice meal (350), a few strawberries (10), and a wee sf wafer (35). I am planning on a piece of stuffed fish (150) and an artichoke (60), and probably a bag of ff popcorn (200) for the evening. May throw in a 100 cal pack of cupcakes. Total will be about 900. Considering how BAD I was last weekend I am going to try to have two very low cal days to see if I can balance it out a bit.

Hi Ladies (and thread Dudes if you're still around)!

It has been a crazy  weekend around here! DD, DSIL & DGS all moved into my house this weekend for the next few months! It will be interesting, but definitely crazy. I will have to hold my tongue and NOT tell them how they should be parents! I need to remember I resented it when my in-laws did that to me. I WON"T be "that kind" of parent!!! :sad2:

I have rejoined WW online and am doiing well. Of course, it has helped that today my throat is swollen and I don't feel like eating anything! There should be a scale change on Friday! I feel lousy, but am making it through the day!

eeyore...Glad to hear DS got to the Dr. It's hard when your not there to help them! Hope this stone passes quickly for him.

Punkin & Winkers...I want to go to Disney and I want to go to Disney NOOOW!!! (In my best Varuka voice!) :goodvibes Seriously, hope you both have a good time!

I know there was more I wanted to say, but it is currently gone out of my mind. Oh well! Hope you all are having a wonderful day!! The sun is finally shining here! YAY!!!! :sunny:

i'm happy to announce that this morning i stepped on the scale to discover that that annoying little one pound that i've been waiting on has finally left the building. actually, two pounds left. but i would've been happy with one.....as now i have new bling!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

hope everyone has a great monday. this week will be interesting for me eating/exercise-wise. we leave saturday for WDW and so i will be stressed with getting everything ready. it'll be hard to stay on track. but i just have to remind myself that i'm going to be a gluttenous pig next week and that i have to be good this week! :lmao:
Woo Hooty:woohoo: That is great!

Must've been the watermelon margaritas! :thumbsup2

Hope you are feeling better soon! YICK...on the bad bus driver. How bout that limo? Is that expensive???
Those Watermelon margaritas almost sound healthy;) The limo was 109.round trip including a grocery stop and he didnt blink when I asked if my sister could share it with us on the way home. we arrived at least a half hour hefore the ME bus even after the grocery store so I think it is worthit. We used FL Tours. They do not require a deposit and you can book online. The driver meets you in bagage with a cart:thumbsup2

My DS didnt know he was ost. When I reported it they laughed at me after I said his age. They were not even going to look until I took out my phone to call the police. I mean it was a water park. I was scared he could have drowned. He was in the one place no one looked. The kiddie area playing with squirt guns and water cannons with another goof his age.

Snow - that is horrible!! But you do have to lol - him threatening to call his supervisor - I'd say, good, lets see who's call is answered first (I'd so be dialing to report him!)

WOOHOOTY PUNKIN!! :cheer2:

Hope he feels better soon! My DD starts college in Sept and I am already fretting and she plans to commute at least for now as there are no rooms left.

we had nosegays at the prom in the 80's too but now they wear wristlets

Now to introduce myself. I participate a little more regularly on the events/competition board as I am currently training for two 1/2 marathons (one in Chicago in August and at WDW in January). I had my second baby in August and still need to lose at least 30 pounds. I thought that training would cause those 30 pounds to magically melt away, but of course, they are not. WELCOME!!!!!!!:flower3: this is a great group. weigh-ins are on fridays and you don't have to post how much you weigh, just what you've lost or gained (or if you've stayed the same) from the previous friday. utahmama keeps a tally for us. oh, and you have to post a picture of yourself in a bikini. :upsidedow :rolleyes1
Did you say BIKINI:scared1: I have a tankini but I am sure no one here needs to see it:rotfl:

Winkers and Punkin!!!! Hope you both have fabulous trips! I am so jealous. Take lots of pics (especially of your food!)

I went to the dentist today for the first time in 8 years (I know, but on my way out when I was paying the bill, I remembered why it had been 8 years!!!!). Anyway, I had a very deep cavity that he said may be contributing to the headaches. So he filled it and hopefully he will not have to do a root canal.

Hope everyone is well.

I have to call my dentist in the morning and find out why they have not filed on our insurance. Which one do you use?

I have so much to get done before we fly out on Saturday morning---the main thing is a pancake breakfast fundraiser that I am in charge of--just found out this afternoon that I cannot even set up until after 9:00 on Friday night :rolleyes1 it was miscommunication between me and someone. I have to set up and then leave other people in charge on Saturday and that makes me very nervous.

We should hopefully now tomorrow afternoon what we are having--I will post as soon as I get home.

That's the one plastic surgery I want done! Just a little smaller and I want them to point in the right direction! I'd love to put a bra on without having to do the bending over thing! I did that infront of my lil sister last summer and she about died laughing. I told her , just wait! And now she's pregnant so in a few months she'll know how it feels. Yeah, another cheater! Uh, I mean... bad girl, bad girl! :rolleyes1 I really feel icky after eating that today...and now I have fed the 'mcdonalds gene' and am craving it even as I sit here waiting for dinner to finish.

So my appt. was ok, I really liked him alot. I actually heard him tell the nurse in the hall he hasnt seen a case like mine in a long while...and he does a LOT of surgeries. He said getting insurance to pay for it shouldnt be a problem at all, and he thinks he could make me a med-full c but no smaller. That is perfect for me. I cant wait to see if the insurance approves it, but it can take up to 6 weeks to find out for sure. Once they give me the green light I can get it done this summer, and be back to normal activity within about 3 weeks, and be a smaller peep by the end of sept! TOTAL: 1487 calories & at least 125 oz. of water, but it will probably be more by the time the night is over.

Not sure yet what my workout will be tonight, but I am thinking mix of bike and ball. I walked Jasper for 25 minutes yesterday. No calorie totals because it was cheat day, but I think I did pretty good for a cheat day.

As far as:
:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I always wanted to just have my abdominal fat readjusted upwards. I worked hard for it and just thought I could "recycle":rotfl:

:lmao: That is too funny! When I had my c-section I told the Dr he could feel free to take a little extra fat out when he took out the baby. Too bad he thought I was kidding!

Totals for today-1422 calories, and will probably let myself had a SF pudding. they are about to expire and need to get eaten up! I am not a waster!
breakfast-Luna bar...note to self, buy more Luna bars!
lunch-Disaster at McD's (quarter pounder with cheese and fries, and DIET coke! but at least they now put the nutrition info on the boxes/wrappers now)
dinner-Apricot glazed pork with sweet potatoes-before you are too impressed, it was one of my pre-made meals from that place I went to. Very little effort on my part.
snack-100 calorie pack of cheez its.

Quick trip to my grandmama's 90th birthday and then on to Texas - and back. About twenty hours of driving for 30 hours of visiting, and I slept part of that! Worth it but very tiring!

Glad to have you!

Hope everyone has a great week.

Heather, I forgot you were leaving too! Maybe you, Punkin, and Winkers will see each other! Very cool!

Where is the pancake breakfast being held - is it the Applebee's thing?

I went to Oak Grove Family Denistry. No dental insurance - so the bill was :scared1:

U girls are lucky if they (:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc ) shrink I would KILL to fit in a vickis bra...

I have to order from figleaves to get size G.... I can lose all the wieght in the world and it will never fall from my girls. So Im down 14lbs so far and still same size Ill lose another 20 and im going to fall over.

Also I know a girl who got hers reduced and they grew back within 5 yrs.

 I know someone who had a reduction and it changed her whole life. No more back pain, special clothes, she was very proportional and she felt great about herself...it did wonders for her self esteem.

I have to opposite problem. My hips are almost a size bigger than my waist. So my pants always poke out when I sit down. I swear my left hip is in a diffrent zipcode than the right hip!:rotfl2:

:lmao: I feel your pain sista

As for bras - love me some viks, and Bali and the very bet workout bra is called Moving Comfort. It's awesome...keeps everything right where is sposed to be!;)

since you guys have been talking about prom, thought you'd get a kick out of these.

my mom and dad's senior prom picture, circa 1972 (about 4 years before i was born).......

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n187/punkin413/File0035.jpg

my dad is really a brunette, but my mom bleached his hair especially for the prom. doesn't he look groovy!!??!! :lmao: anyway, not sure what kind of corsage that is. it looks like she's holding a bouquet??? i'll have to ask her about that one.
Punkin, that pic of your parents is darling! They aren't that much older than I am. I don't have very good memories of my prom, either. Don't think I could even find any photos. The guy friend I went with had hair past his shoulders - much longer than mine. We didn't bother with the formal photos. I had a HUMONGOUS pin on orchid corsage. I'm thinking his mom picked it out.

Here is our latest count down! We leave tomorrow after the kids get home from school!:cool1: Winkers, you countdown is FANTASTIC!!!

Will you send them my way? Mine keep getting smaller and smaller. I was a C and a half/D before.
Who knows what I'll be when I get to my goal weight.
My friend at church said "I can tell you are losing weight - especially in your ****s."
Dagnabit.
He's supossed to notice my rear is shrinking!
:rotfl2: You are shaped similar to me, Cel. The darn rear end is the hardest to get rid of.

I have to opposite problem. My hips are almost a size bigger than my waist. So my pants always poke out when I sit down. I swear my left hip is in a diffrent zipcode than the right hip!:rotfl2:
I have been noticing the same thing on me lately - one hip bigger than the other  I've been wondering if it has to do with the way I walk due to my sore knee. I also push harder with one leg on the exercise bike.

Quick trip to my grandmama's 90th birthday and then on to Texas - and back. About twenty hours of driving for 30 hours of visiting, and I slept part of that! Worth it but very tiring!
I recall you saying you were away. You will never regret having gone on that trip, Nancy! Hope you are blessed to be able to have a 100th birthday party for her like we had for my Grandma.

Anyone know when Dene' is back?

I went to a concert tonight - OK Go (the band with the "Treadmill" Video). It was amazing!!! Even though it made me feel really, really old! A friend and her daughter (who turned 18 today and I treated her for her birthday) went with me. At least there were a few people who looked to be older in the audience :hippie:

The lead singer ran down the aisle and stood right next to me singing!!! He was a real cutie, but I'm sure I am old enough to be his mother :rolleyes1 Then later, they came down the other aisle and did two acoustic songs over there. I bought a t-shirt for my daughter. Hope she likes it.

Anyone know when Dene' is back?

Got back yesterday about 4:30... tried to make up for the 6 hours total sleep I got Friday and Saturday nights. :rotfl: Didn't work, the body was tired but the brain wouldn't shut down.

San Antonio... fun place on the river walk... didn't eat enough food, consumed too many of my calories in liquid form. Note to peeps... multiple Wedding Cake Martinis should not be followed by Coronas.

Spent too much money... got some beads (all I had to flash was cleavage) from 4 different young men (3 at once)... rode the coasters at Sea World... and finally got a picture of Jay, the Hunky Trainer Dude (Christy had one on her phone)... too bad I can't post it here... doesn't look like he has any clothes on... :rolleyes1

The quality of the picture isn't too good... it is from a camera phone. It is pretty small, so you can't see how cute he is or his beautiful eyes  Plus it is about a month old, so he's tanner and more ripped (especially in the arms... his arms and shoulders are huge now). Sent it to Harley in PM... I think she "appreciated" it :thumbsup2

Not me!

I lose the behind first and the sisters couldn't get any smaller. :) :)

My middle is the last to go. In fact my hips are a size or two smaller than my waist. When I try on pants....like today...the waist fits, the bottom bags. If the bottom fits, then there's the muffin top.

I have the curves of a 14-year-old boy. :sad2:
My behind I don't think ever goes anywhere. My students say I have a ghetto butt.

winkers I know I quoted you , but it didn't show and now I cannot remember what it was.
Just a consultation about having the :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc made smaller.

One minute your pointing straigt ahead and the next they're going south.[/QUOTE]
I iknow the problem. I just want them the same size--can you tell I am OCD>!! IT really makes finding a good bra hard---one fits and the other falls out  After nursing three and most likely 4 kids there is nothing left but tissue. I told DH the only thing I wanted for our 15th was a BXXB JOB!!
I have to opposite problem. My hips are almost a size bigger than my waist. So my pants always poke out when I sit down. I swear my left hip is in a diffrent zipcode than the right hip!:rotfl2:

We are doing it at our church Saturday from 8:30-10:30 to raise money for the kids to go to camp. Applebees could not get us in until the day before we leave and I called beginning of March--same time I called last year and got what I needed.

That is a good place to go for a dentist--no insurance is a pain in the rear.
I will be by after our trip to pur a deposit down for JOSHUA:cool1:

She just asked a question about siggys >
Okay, so I have lost 9 pounds since joining WISH. However over the last 2 years I have lost almost 200 pounds.

Would it be wrong to put the 200 pounds lost icon on when I reach that goal since I was not a part of WISH when I started?

And then what happens when I lose more than 200? Do I just use 2 icons to convey 200 + 10 pounds?
(and the wish mod answered that she could only use a wish clippy for weight lost while on wish - which I understand from that point of view!)
I'm trying to psyche myself up for a 2.1 mile jog/walk = wog!!

Maybe I'll just post a link... Hunky Trainer Dude aka reason to go workout (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r66/denecarter/Jay.jpg)

 :faint:

I'd go work out too if I had him for a trainer! :thumbsup2
BTW...Why does Christy have a nekkid pic of him on her phone?!?:confused3

Gooood morning Aries!!!!!
How's planning going?

I have some re-do's. I decided it's NOT a good idea to dine in fancy restaurants past 8:00 Pm with my particular kids. I just have to come up with a few plan B's.

My plans I want to change:

9/25 Coral Reef 7:30 (needs to be 6:00 or before for family sanity) or somewhere else in Epcot/Spoodles

9/27 Spoodles 8:10 (needs to be 6:00 or prior) somewhere in or near Epcot

9/30 MNSSHP- somewhere in MK for LUNCH

I'm rethinking mine as well - and I just read that Tuskar House will be closed in Sept!! aaack - that is dh's favorite CS Salmon meal - and it has a/c so I LOVE it too!!

Now I have to relook at it... do we really want Mama Melrose for FDP? I really dont want to do H&V again, but we liked H&V - simple, dd liked the food and dessert bar (and I like that I dont like anything on that dessert bar!! :rotfl: )

I really need to get outside and do my 2 mile wog... :rolleyes1

DH is supposed to call today to get our MNSSHP tickets today. We are going Oct. 4th. It's a weekday, and it's DVC discount night! :thumbsup2 We also learned that some of my VMK/DIS friends will be there at the end of that week, so I get 2 meets in one trip! :yay:

Also, I am having a slight panic attack! We leave for WDW 2 weeks from Thursday, and I have SO much to do! (I do this every time we go when it gets this close. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. :rotfl: )

Hello Peeps!

DD1 having a better day today. Awards day at the school. She got in National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. I'm so proud of her.

I'm doing the calorie counter thing. goal weight x 12. This seems really to be working better for me. I am allowed 1620. Yesterday I had 1497 which wouldnt be a bad goal weight for me either. I am a mere 60 inches- on a fluffy hair day too might I add.

Still gotta work on my water and exercise. My foot was doing good and THEN... I thought I was a ballerina and was goofing off with the girls - tour jete is NOT A GOOD IDEA. :scared: Landed hard- felt a pop- limped to the couch. So I am back to square one. By the way- I may have only been inches off the floor but my legs were straight and toes were pointed. GO MOM!

(closer to Epcot beginning and ending of marathon)

Today I have to write a research paper and study for my Sociology exam that's tonight, so I don't have time to read all 891  pages of this thread. :lmao:

So I just wanted to introduce myself and list my goals.

1. lose 35 pounds by the end of August (when Fall semester starts), then I will set another goal
2. eat more healthfully and commit to only one cupcake a month! :rotfl:
3. exercise in some way everyday :yay:
4. drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day, no matter how much it makes me gag :scared:

Can't wait to get to know you all! :thumbsup2

You know, that would be sort of funny. Get up from my desk chair, skirt and all, get down in the aisle, and start!

Lynda, we will miss each other by a day. We leave the 16th.

I have done well so far today. Made it to the gym, did 30 min on the elliptical (burned 300 cals!), my weight circuit, 30 crunches on the machine, 30 torso/oblique turning machine thingy. Went to Wally-world after and got lunch for today, fruit for snacks, and lunch/dinner for tomorrow to have here at work.

B-fast was reduced fat bacon/egg/cheese toaster scramble (150) and coffee
Lunch was a huge salad (100) and a South Beach Wrap lunch (230).
Snack will be strawberries.
Dinner, no idea.

We already made all our ressies for Sept. Ohana (OOP), Coral Reef, Marrakesh, Narcoosee's, Capt Jack's, Maya Grill, Chefs de France, Le Cellier, Wolfgang Puck Cafe, Raglan Road, San Angel Inn (Lunch, OOP). Not sure of times or order, DH has that at home!

i need advice from all your mamas out there. i stepped on a splinter last night in my garage and had to get it out with a needle. it was in my heel, like on the bottom of my foot. i put peroxide on it as soon as i pulled it out. i go barefoot when i'm in the house ALL THE TIME so of course that's what i did last night, not thinking about the fact that i had a tiny little hole in my heel. today it's still hurting, so i just put some more peroxide on it and wrapped it in a bandage as to not get dirt or anything in it. i just don't want it to get infected because we leave for WDW on saturday and i'm obviously going to be walking a lot! any advice? i'm sure it'll be fine and i'm just worrying over nothing....as i always do!

LIke others neosporin is the best - if you are NOT sure whether you've gotten all of it out do soak your foot (Epsom salts is the best - its an old remedy it helps sooth aching muscles as well, and of course if you have an ingrown toenail, soak it in epsom salts! about $1 for a quart of the salt - its in the bandaid aisle, usually bottom shelf - ) BUT if you dont have that, by keeping a bandaid on it - and the neosporin, you can sweat out any pieces of splinter still inside!!

I cant tell y'all how many times I was interrupted11 :rotfl2:

That isi so sweet you are so close with her. Sounds like you both had a good time. Oh, and I used to ask my mom to take me places when I want her to pay too :rolleyes1

So long, farewell, auf wiedersein, adieu!!! I'm leaving today for Disney!:cool1: This is our first time taking our kids so we're all really excited. If you want to know more about it you can look at my pre trippie. (Shameless plug) I may check in while we're there because dh has to have internet to do his on line classes. I'm so excited!!!!!
Have a great time!!!

Isn't it wonderful when hot guys are nice too?? I am trying to remember all the hot, slide off your chair hot, guys I have dated. None were nice. Glad you found the only one!!! ;)

Yeppers...I tweak and tweak. It makes me pass the time until the vacation and it's also called being anal. :rolleyes1

In other news....I was able to get SSR for 5 nights of our stay but am stuck at Coronado Springs for the first 4. Hey..I will take it!!! We did end up saving close to $1000!!! :faint: Has anyone stayed at COR. before?? I hear it's more for business meetings/seminars?? :confused3
I like your new 'house' in your signature! I hear that COR is really pretty, and I have seen some beautiful pictures from there at night. No matter where you are, you are at Disney so it cant be too bad!

I am excited... DH called the AP hotline today and we switched our two nights for our May trip from CBR to POR! I wasn't all that thrilled about staying at CBR, and this adds a new experience. Someday I want to be able to say that I have stayed at every resort at WDW...

Is anyone else a vacation-tweaker like me??

Uh, yeah! That is half the fun, isn't it?

Went to the tux shop and flower shop just now with DS. The coursage is a deep purply-red (called black) with white orchids :flower3: Also ordered the boutinere so they match. DS paid for it himself.... REALLY!

I have to take him for a haircut. WHY? Yes I'm licensed and "do hair" but my clippers are broken and my razor is dull. PLUS he's NEVER had anyone but me cut his hair. He'll "prolly" get the best haircut of his life :rolleyes1

Hi Peeps! I'm sorry I haven't posted this week. I started feeling sick Sunday night (sore throat, fever). Monday I called in sick and I went to the Dr. I have strep throat! A very bad case actually. I don't remember the last time I was this sick. I was home today again and I will be home tomorrow as well. I have been emailing my lesson plans into school. I don't think I will be posting a weigh in this week. Although, when I went to the dr. one bright thing was the nurse commented I had lost 14 pounds since the last time I was there.:) I hope everyone is doing well!:wave2:

finally got a picture of Jay, the Hunky Trainer Dude (Christy had one on her phone)... too bad I can't post it here... doesn't look like he has any clothes on... :rolleyes1
I think I burned my eyeballs, Dene'!!!!! :thumbsup2

Hey! I'd love to see them. I have a couple of their songs on my iPod. Great for working out to! :thumbsup2 A friend and I saw them once at a mall, but didn't go meet them or anything. It took us a minute to figure out who they were actually. But I enjoy them. Glad you had a good time!
I talked with a coworker today and he told me he saw OK GO before they were "big" too. He said they went around the audience with pads of paper getting people's e-mail addresses  My DD was amazed when she found out I enjoy their music.

I LOVE OK GO!!! Was everyone doing the dance for "A million ways to be cruel"?? I went to see Coldplay last year and was feeling a little old too.

We're old but we're cool........;)
I didn't know to watch for that dance, Melinda ;) Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I need to go check out their new video. LOL at your daughter's comment. My friend's daughter was teasing me for "enjoying the music" so much.

She just asked a question about siggys >

(and the wish mod answered that she could only use a wish clippy for weight lost while on wish - which I understand from that point of view!)
I'm trying to psyche myself up for a 2.1 mile jog/walk = wog!!
WELCOME, Amber!!!

We'd LOVE to see your before and current photos here for motivation!

So long, farewell, auf wiedersein, adieu!!! I'm leaving today for Disney!:cool1:

:cheer2: Welcome to our newbies! You will find lots of great support here, among all the chit chat ;)

Totals for today before I forget:
breakfast-cheerios ith very little skim milk...I never 'eat' the milk part.
lunch-SB wrap kit thingy, southwestern chicken, with 100 calorie pack of sun chips. For some reason I have to have something with everything. I cant have just the wraps, I needed a 'side dish'
dinner-Burger king grilled chicken salad, with onion rings
snacks-apple w/peanut butter
I will probably have some SF pudding here again in a bit, before it all expires.
Total today (without the pudding):1459 calories, well under my max so I did great today! Yay me!

Dinner was a big deal today for me. DH wanted burger king for the Spiderman toys in the happy meals (dont ask!) and I knew if I went with them I would cave and order something really bad. Especially after having McD's yesterday. So I stayed home while he and Amanda had some quality daddy time, and he brought my dinner back. I knew I had the calories left for the onion rings, and I could have had something other than salad...but this was a healthy choice for me and that was HUGE. I knew the temptation would be there so I avoided it. I just could feel that I wasnt strong enough to resist it today and I would have SOOO ordered a whopper if I went there and smelled it.

Off to watch my tivoed General hospital from today and Idol later....I hate commercials, cant watch live tv anymore :happytv: In case I dont make it back to the computer...Have a good night peeps!

S: 6 almonds (40)
L: McDonald's southwest salad (320)
S: Pop Secret 100 calorie kettle corn (100 - This stuff ROCKS!)
D: salad w/ reduced fat blue cheese crumbles, craisins, almond slices, and salmon cup, and balsamic dressing (280) apple w/ peanut butter (350) light cranberry juice (50)
S: 2 Dove dark chocolates (84) WW key lime cheesecake (150)

TOTAL: 1714 calories & about 100 oz. water

My exercise tonight was Jasper's agility class. It was my turn to take her through the course tonight, and I was huffing and puffing, and my capris are getting too big, so I had to keep pulling those up! :rotfl: She did great tonight (She has started doing the chute, which she wouldn't go through at first!), and it's a great workout for her and for me! :thumbsup2

:confused3

Coronado Springs (CSR) is our favorite moderate. It feels very "deluxe" to me, and if you are on the DDP it has one of the best food courts on property. It is almost more of a TS w/ a waiter and "stations". They do charge gratuity on the bill but DDP takes care of it. The resort is beautiful and centered around a large lake. It has a huge pool and a large square hot tub (rather than the round found at the other mods). It is a large, spread out resort, so request buildings 8A or 9B, which are closest to the pool/food court. If that isn't available, casitas 1-3 are close to the food court but further from the pool. The rest of the buildings are sort of far from everything.

We would have stayed at CSR this trip but they had no king rooms left on the AP rate, and we also figured we could add another to our list.

Lynda, I know what you are saying with the popcorn... I swear, ff popcorn keeps me alive.

belle, so sorry you are sick. Strep is awful, but the good news is that as soon as the antibiotics kick in (1-2 days) you should feel much better.

Minnie, cool that your DD is in Durham! Does she like it here?

eeyore/all, glad I am not the only tweaker!!

BIL cancelled dinner so I did pretty good after all. So my totals are:
B: toaster scramble 150
L: South Beach wrap kit 230 + salad 100
S: a few strawberries 20
D: frozen stuffed tilapia (w/ shrimp and herbs) 130, green beans 70, artichoke 60
S: 6 pretzel sticks and 1/3 a WW choco-cookie dough ice cream, 60
Total in food: 800

I have also had 2 pints of Bud select and I will probably have one more, so total for today is 1200. Exercise is 30 on elliptical, weights, abs.

I love the little frozen tilapias. They are single serving, between 110-150 cals, and come stuffed with spinach&cheese, shrimp, or scallops. Only $1 in the frozen fish section of Wal-mart.

And yes, I know I should eat more food and drink less, but hey, we can't give up everything!!

WOO HOOOOO FOR YOU AND JASPER!!!

We have an agility club a few miles from us and I have an acquaitance through work who is an agility judge. I would love to do agility, except for the running along with your dog part. Because of that, I will probably look into fly ball with our next dog intead. I don't think there is much running involved with that.

HKat - My DD is in grad school at UNC/Chapel Hill, so she lives near there, but will be working in Durham this summer. Not too bad of a drive. We will be visiting at some point this summer and hope to get over to the ocean. Maybe you can give me the scoop on the best beach(es) to go! Will probably do Kitty Hawk and then drive down the Outer Banks. I was VERY happy to learn today that she'll be coming home for a visit soon. So we'll also get to see the new grandpuppy!!! :dogdance:

Hi Peeps! I'm sorry I haven't posted this week. I started feeling sick Sunday night (sore throat, fever). Monday I called in sick and I went to the Dr. I have strep throat!
So sorry! I hate how weak it makes you feel. Hope you feel better soon.

GIRLWill have another one in June for measurements and such and to reconfirm since it is so early, but we are pretty sure that it is a girl.

Woo hooo! I love girls! They take care of you when you're old. My DD and I fight more than DS and I ever did, but we get over it and move on. DS broods like DH. Congrats on your little :cutie:.

Big step today-I went to the gym w/o DH. He usually drags me along. I just felt like the weight is not moving, so I have to get serious. 40 minutes on the elliptical=380 calories. I ate 1680 calories, which is right around my goal weight calories, and didn't eat up the elliptical calories. Let's see where that gets me.

I laughed at all the descriptions on here of body shapes. I took a modeling class in my teens, and they said the perfect proportion was 12 inches difference between bust and waist and hips and waist. That's what I have, but the clothes I buy either fit my booty and are too big in the waist, or they fit my waist and are too tight in the booty. :confused3 Makes me think of the lyrics from "Baby Got Back" (a part I can repeat, anyway)
"Yeah baby
When it comes to females
Cosmo ain't got nothin to do with my selection
36-24-36
Only if she's 5'3"

Wedding cake margaritias? YUM, that sounds good! And thanks for sharing the picture!! Now I know why you are so dedicated to the gym!
Dene - Wedding cake margarita sounds YUMMY! Glad to hear you had fun! You deserve it! :goodvibes

Wedding Cake Martinis = Skye Vanilla, Di Sarono Amaretto, pineapple juice, grenadine, and a cherry (whose stem I can tie in a knot AND tighten with my tongue:rolleyes1 )

Dene......Hubba, hubba....how could he BE any hotter???

If you could see his eyes... hot, hot, hot... and the muscles help too! Shoulders and arms are bigger now... I love muscles... and eyes...

We're old but we're cool........;)

My 9th graders tell me I'm cool!

Oh MY!!!!! ((fanning myself)) He's nekkie!!!!

Looks it! But if you look really close on his right hip you can see a bit of cloth... and he claims he has something on. Tonight, I showed him that I had that picture. He's like "you didn't show that to anybody did you?" 'cause he doesn't think he's ripped enough. Nahhhhh... just my imaginary friends :rolleyes1

HUBBA HUBBA! But I love this post best Dene!! It is sweet - plus it shows you are changing your life, and look what you're finding! (and um, anyword on that goal your new friends had for you... :rolleyes1 coronas and martinis - what was it Spring Break??? Be careful your pictures arent posted anywhere - did you hear about the girl not getting a Teaching Degree because she posted (she was of legal drinking age) on myspace a pic of her and labeled it "Drunken Pirate" (the drink was in a plastic cup!)

There is no photographic evidence of Dene''s trip to San Antonio :thumbsup2

Dene, he is a hunk... I can definitely see your motivation!
Dene - Trainer dude Jay is yummy! :thumbsup2
dene Hunky trainer dude! YUMMY!
I think I burned my eyeballs, Dene'!!!!! :thumbsup2
Thank you... now everyone knows why I always referred to him as Hunky
Trainer Dude...

 :faint:

I'd go work out too if I had him for a trainer! :thumbsup2
BTW...Why does Christy have a nekkid pic of him on her phone?!?:confused3

He sent it to her as a joke... but he didn't send it to me. :confused3 There were a few "issues" that Jay and I had to work out yesterday. More about that later.

I'm back - at 11:50 I think I went 2.5 miles.... in 30 min - bring on the 5K - :faint:

You ROCK girl! I couldn't do that... YET!

Ok ladies get motivated and do 50 crunches now!!!!!!

I did! (Good thing, too... only did 15 minutes on the elliptical tonight... can't get motivated lately... according to a Fitness Lab I did with Stacy for her PE class, I have almost all the symptoms of "overtraining"... either that or a wild weekend! :rotfl:

but hey, i can't complain. i'll be at disney!!!!!! so that makes up for ANYTHING i miss! :yay:

That's right, girlfriend! ;)

So long, farewell, auf wiedersein, adieu!!!

Have a great one!

Isn't it wonderful when hot guys are nice too?? I am trying to remember all the hot, slide off your chair hot, guys I have dated. None were nice. Glad you found the only one!!! ;)

Believe it or not, in his own bizarre way, he's also "modest"... I know you can't tell from the picture, but he's actually pretty modest about his bod... he wears long sleeve baggy shirts to work all the time... kinda hiding the guns... only his friends get to see the bod, and only in little flashes usually.. and he doesn't get into the little testosterone competitions that sometimes happen at the gym when the guys are seeing how much they can lift. Every once in a while he'll have someone "feel this muscle"... he's already got all the ladies at the gym drooling, can you imagine if he wore muscle shirts and shorts all the time! :bitelip: :faint:

GIRLWill have another one in June for measurements and such and to reconfirm since it is so early, but we are pretty sure that it is a girl.

Congrats! :dance3:

I briefly mentioned that Jay and I worked out some "issues" earlier.

Well, I've been really insecure and paranoid lately. And something Christy said on the trip set me off and I got a little annoyed... then ticked... then mad... then really angry.

That's a huge thing for me, I ALWAYS shove my feelings down... never get mad about anything... hate confrontations, always try to appease and make peace. I went with it... I allowed myself to be mad and hurt 'cuz I deserve to get mad as much as the next person.

So, I ended up sending Jay a text message laying some things out and asking him to quit treating me differently from our other friends. He and Stacy kind of freaked 'cause they had no idea where this all came from. We figured out it was probably all a misunderstanding that started it all (Christy is Australian and sometimes smart-alec Texan doesn't easily translate into Australian). This was not just HUGE for me, it was GI-NORMOUS. I never confront anyone, never tell them something they've done is bothering or hurting me, and I usually let it fester and imagine all the worst. I just figured if confronting him made him no longer want to be my friend, then he probably wasn't my friend to start with. But as he said "we're cool".

Anyway, they both assured me that I was just being paranoid, we're all good friends, and I'm not treated differently than anyone else... I sort of agreed (deep down, I BELIEVE I'm treated different... could be the paranoia though).

Tonight, I kept making it a joke... "see, you DO treat me different". Well, I don't know if it was me saying something and they acted different or if I perceived things differently, but I did feel better and more "on the same level" and included tonight. It was a really good feeling.

Okay... this is one of the symptoms of overtraining... sleep pattern is totally messed up (tired all day, wired all night).

I also have:
*been depressed
*felt unusual anger
*not been able to get motivated to work out
*lost my appetite
*felt my legs and arms were "heavy"
etc... there were others, just can't remember.

Of course, the heavy legs could be the 31 sclerotherapy shots I had last week... plus, I missed 4 workout days between the shots and the trip... plus, I NEED to go to the grocery store 'cause I've got nothing to eat.

Anyway, guess I'd better force myself to go to bed... nighty night!

I'm up now Dene!!

woohooty Dene for allowing yourself to get angry, and 'confrontational' as that wasnt easy for you - and as you learn yourself, you respect yourself, then you demand others respect you!! :woohoo:

Now those shots!! :faint:

and all those 'issues' I'm having and that's what makes me turn right around and reach for the twinkies...

been depressed
*felt unusual anger
*not been able to get motivated to work out
*lost my appetite
*felt my legs and arms were "heavy"

so I add - crying - not sobbing, but just tearing up more often...
and I have found your appetite!!

but you still motivate me - I'm telling you as I was going to 'walk' a bit, I thought of you and pushed myself to the next tree... and then I remembered how long you went on the eliptical, and thought, that next tree isnt that far... and then I realized, I really wasnt hurting anywhere, my breathing was about the same, so I knew I could make it to the next tree!! Next thing I knew - I finished the 2 miles in 30 min!! HUGE - I average 20 min miles... in college when I was IN SHAPE!

so grab on Dene, sounds like its time to send out the wagon and lasso a few peeps!!

I have also had 2 pints of Bud select and I will probably have one more, so total for today is 1200. Heh.

Thanks for the feedback!! :thumbsup2 I remember catching a bus there last Aug but I have no idea why we or how we ended up there. I will call back today and request a room...it's short notice but it can't hurt!! If I have to walk I don't mind...althogh DH might!!! ;)

i need advice from all your mamas out there. i stepped on a splinter last night in my garage and had to get it out with a needle. it was in my heel, like on the bottom of my foot. i put peroxide on it as soon as i pulled it out. i go barefoot when i'm in the house ALL THE TIME so of course that's what i did last night, not thinking about the fact that i had a tiny little hole in my heel. today it's still hurting, so i just put some more peroxide on it and wrapped it in a bandage as to not get dirt or anything in it. i just don't want it to get infected because we leave for WDW on saturday and i'm obviously going to be walking a lot! any advice? i'm sure it'll be fine and i'm just worrying over nothing....as i always do!

I had to pull a ONE INCH splinter out of one of the kids I used to watch last. Imagine trying to hold down a 5yo and pull that sucker out!!! I just treated it with neosporin and he was fine. It didn't even bleed!! For awhile there I thought he would be heading to the ER! Eeyore's tip was great about the epsom salt. Another item we use on horses if they have a foot bruise/abcess. It works great. Did she tell you to use hot/warm water?? I'm sure she did. Hope it feels better today!!! :wizard:

I hope you feel better soon!!!! :flower3:

okay.......i'm not gonna give anything away. but i'm just gonna say.......

BLAKE LEWIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

i'm so voting for him tonight. even if you don't particularly care for his style, you gotta admit the kid's very talented and creative.
Yeah he does!!! And he's not bad to look at either!! I think it will be Phil and Jordan going???? :confused3

GIRLWill have another one in June for measurements and such and to reconfirm since it is so early, but we are pretty sure that it is a girl.

Congrats!!!!!! How exciting!! :cheer2:
I have to tell you, I chuckle every time I read your food and it says cupcake because it has been a staple these last few days for you, huh? I bet you cant wait til they are gone! I give you big credit for admitting to us all you are eating them everyday!

There are two more of those da*n cupcakes still in the container. DH was supposed to eat some. Nope. So I think I will toss them today. They are a week old.

I love BK fries but never go there. I guess that's a good thing?? ;)
Commercials drive me insane!!! I was watching "live" TV last night and kept picking up the remote to FFWD thru the ads.

:thumbsup2

I'm jealous of your agility class!! I used to do it with my dog that passed away. What great exercise!!! :goodvibes

I tried to post all this last night and the boards were down...at least for me. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!! The weekend is coming soon!!

belle - sorry you're sick. hope you feel better soon!

pigget - CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! how exciting! any names picked out yet?

We are looking at several names and Parker Rhea (Ray) we also like Rachel but could not use Rhea---We would not be naming after food network--my middle name is Rhea, but everyone would think otherwise. I realy wanted a biblical name since all my others have one in their name, but we are lost. We had the boy name narrowed down to either William Jackson or Noah Jackson ( I really wanted Noah). We have another 5 mths to figure it out so I am not to concerned yet!

I am ok with a girl-a boy would have really worked for us as far as layout goes sharing a room and Joshua was born at that season so we would have been set on clothes and such. God has plans and that is all I can think.

Well..

I do not know if it will stick to Friday....

But today I got on the scale and it says 300.... that would be approx 20 lbs. lost.

I guess divore has a way of helping to lose weight. Since Sunday I have had 2 pieces of veggie pizza and a small cup of popcorn that work handed out yesterday.

I will not go into details but there is a tape of something that makes me quite sad and makes me lose my appetite going on in my head constantly. It is on a loop.. Plays over and over.... I wish the tape would break already.:confused3

I guess whatever works to lose weight. Someday, I will have a man that wants me and loves me again. I do not want to be alone!!!:sad2:

Anyway, I love ya all!!

Wow! My name is Amber too. And my birthday is in May too (the 21st). And I'll be 30ish too! (ok, 31, but close enough, right?)
And I'll be at WDW while you're at DL. Woo hoo!

LOL! That's too creepy, huh? :lmao:

I don't really know any Ambers close to my age here. They all seem to be 10 and under. :lmao:

Have a good time at WDW!

I am the exact same way! I let things fester and avoid confrontation at all costs. Not healthy, but it is just how I deal sometimes. Good for you for getting it all out there. It would have gotten very uncomfortable for you to work out with them as time went on if you had let it sit inside, you know? Well, as uncomfortable as working out with hunky trainer dude could possibly be! ;)

I have a similar tape in my mind...mine is quite old but I know exactly what you mean. Wish it would go away, but it is part of who I am and part of what made me who I am today. Down the road you will be a stronger person, you just need to get through this rough patch :grouphug:

And this could be the week you will lose the 3 in your number!! If it says 300 today it could easily say 299 by Friday!!!! No thinking it wont 'stick' either, it will. (but please take care of yourself and eat something! that is not enough food for 3 days time!)

Yes, I am up and online already. Been up since 5. Guess who woke up again this morning at 5am?? Dear lord, please help her outgrow this phase quickly. Momma is getting exhausted. :crazy2:At least I got her back to bed by close to 6. She has preschool today. I am sure they would not have appreciated me letting her get up at 5 and being miss cranky pants all day for them. (better them than me though!:teeth: )

i'm hoping it won't be jordin, but she did really bad last night. it just wasn't her night. but if people actually did base it on the last two weeks, i'm hoping it will be phil and lakisha or phil and chris. i honestly like everyone who's left, so it's a hard choice, especially when 2 have to go! but i just don't feel like jordin deserves to go home after 1 bad performance. the rest of her performances have been so good. i voted for blake a few times last night, and i might've snuck in a couple of votes for jordin, too. :)

Hi Spongie!!!!!!

Thank yuofor thinking I am a great catch. It is hard to believe when I am going through what I am going through now. I feel very lost, If I had someone else I would not be so lonely. I believe this would be an easier process if I had someone telling me they love me and are loving me. But, I GET to do this all by myself. I feel it would be easier, this divorce, if there were someone in the piicture waiting for me. I guess I am not the "lucky" one. No one waiting for me.

Anyway, I know I have made mistakes. I admit that. You know the old Cher song... If I could turn back time. I would be more loving, considerate, and I would not take things for granted. You fall into a comfort zone and you feel "safe". Then there is that old saying... you never know how much you will miss something.. someone till it is gone.

My relationship is OVER. I know that in my head.. my heart is having a hard time understanding.

Anyway, SOMEDAY I will be stronger, someday we will get to the other side. Someday we will be able to look back at our life and share special memories. Right now the looking back is too painful.

Yes, I know that certain people still read my posts.. but again these are my feelings.

I think yesterday was one of the toughest days of my DH and I's year and a half of marriage and maybe even our 5 years together  . . .

We bought our first house together (we've been living in a 2 bdrm condo he bought after college), or so we thought :confused3 !! We made an offer on Monday night to the counteroffer from the sellers, and our realtor called us to say we got the house, they had agreed to our price and she faxed us the forms to sign and we faxed them back. Some of you may remember that there had been an offer over a week ago when we started looking at the house, but we were informed it was very low and they weren't going to come to an agreement. Well apparently, the other couple agreed to the seller's counteroffer yesterday morning. So I get a call late yesterday afternoon saying they have outbid our verbal agreement and it's no longer our house, do we want to offer more. Well we agreed to the seller's initial counteroffer they had given us hoping it would be more . . . but apparently it was the same they offered the other couple. Long story short . . . The sellers had to counterbid us or the other couple and they have chosen the first couple instead of us. We still don't know if that couple has agreed to the counterbid, but even if they haven't yet a.) they may take another 9 days to decide like this past week or b.) we weren't planning on paying anymore for this house because it's already reached its peak price in our opinion!!

Not only do we feel scammed and treated unethically and unfairly, but now our realtor keeps saying she's seen other houses and they are so us . . . Well I don't want another house, I've been looking for over a year now and I wanted everything about this house!! Sorry about the whining, but this is just a very difficult experience for us and I'm trying so hard not to overeat because that's always my solution to sadness :sad1: !!

Im worried about you.
I know its hard not to look back. But sometimes constantly looking back and wondering what should've or could've keeps you from looking forward. I havent been exactly where you are. My DH and I didnt divorce but we separated for a while. We had been married for 14 years at the time. I never saw it coming. And when it hit me, it hit me hard. Just like I hear it hitting you. I lost about 30LBS over Christmas break. I just quit eating. I couldnt function. My kids suffered because I was so absorbed in my feelings that I couldnt see theirs. I was really low and had some bad thoughts because I couldnt see that I was a person, a valuable, special person. I let my entire identity revolve around someone else. Bee- you dont need a someone out there to make you feel loved. You have a someone - YOU. You are important to you.
It really helped me to talk to a counselor. Somebody who was a stranger- somebody I felt like I could say anything to. Sometimes you just need to say things out loud. I found out that I could make it. That I was strong enough to be alone if I had to be. And that just because I was alone now didnt mean I would always be.
I know everybody's situation is different. But Bee- I really am worried about you. I am going to tell you again- here is my hand- grab hold- I wont let go- I will hold you tight until you are ready to try it alone.
With the love of your friend- Sparkie

GOOD MORNIN PEEPS!!

PrincessAmber Didnt you have a paper due? How's it going???

Jen I was up till 3am last night...ok this mornin - dd kept waking up crying, then I fell asleep sitting up!! :yawn ! Last night when she went in to tell her dad she could not fall asleep, and she was crying (she's 10!) I went in and shooed her out, back to bed hugging her, reassuring her, and before I could tuck her in, she was asleep!! I now think she was sleepwalking - its a habit for her... how do I break it? I wonder tho, when her brothers come home, if she'll be able to rest/sleep... I'm thinking with me worrying about ds, she is picking up on those vibes???

BEE  I wish I had some magical words, I wish I could reach thru the computer and just touch you, reassure you... YOU are WORTHY - I may only see a snapshot, but what I see is bee u tiful!! You are kind beyond words, and I feel blessed with the opportunity to get to know you!! You can fight you know, fight for YOU!! Bee all you can BEE!! All I know is what I hear on tv, and the self help group say once you beelieve in you, when you least expect it, your life will be fulfilled! BELIEVE in yourself - start a new reel in your head... fight for YOU!! God made you Bee, and God does NOT make junk! (I saw that on a poster, and I've had to add that to the voice in my head... there for awhile I kept calling myself the witch with a b word, and I was really sarcastic... it was all a protective device... I needed to work on me... and I still am!! Hang on Bee, in may be a rough ride, but its worth it!! OK that tape was when I was a teenager my "sis" and I rode bulls in a rodeo - I rode the barrel bull, she rode a live one!! What a memory - so lets make some new memories...)

I know that was TMI - blame it on lack of sleep...

Love all ya all.

Bee you have 2 poeple that love you more than any man can! Your GIRLS!!! Thankfully the only thing that our children can do is complain how we amde them go to Disney world! :rotfl:

There are those that love you too that you may not know or realize. That could be the person that you held the door open for that just learned they have 3 months left due to illness! Being loved comes in many sizes shapes and packages. Romantic love is only one form of love.

To be loved by those I repsect and cherish is a goal. Anyone can looko back at life and say I should have this or that so Bee: DON'T SHOULD ON YOURSELF!!!!

What moments in life test us create a stronger more wonderful us. There may come a time when someone you hold dear is in your shoes and they will need your stregth wisdom and guidance. SOmetimes the lessons we learn in lifear e not for us but for someone else and God knows that we can do something wonderful with great pain!

I love the line from Glenn Close in The Natural where she says to Robert Redford "there is the life we live, adn then there is the life we learn from" something like that great line and Bobby is good on the eyes!

My life has had peaks and valleys and honetly what has gotten me up the peaks has been good loving friends to help pull me up along the way. Without my faith in God I would have thrown in the towl a long time ago. Thankfully I know that anything that brings me closer to God is good and in all matters of pain I reach to my father to lift me up and to put the right people in my path to help me get back up.

Take a rest on the matt but don't stay down! Just look forward and see what we already know you are one great gal who is going o shine again like the lovely gem them you are. It really stinks when we think we know where we stand but like everything in life the only thing I DO KNOW is that no matter comes way today I am NOT alone ! I have my father in heaven and my friends that I have prayed for God to put in my life and know that God has hand picked every single one of them JUST FOR ME!

You are not alone you may have lonely moents but you are NEVER ALONE! There is no shame for loving with all ones heart and trusting our love in the hands of another. That is loving unconditonally and yes sometimes that can be our greatest source of pain too. With great joy can come great pain. Use the gift of lvoe you have for tohers to lvoe yourself and teach your girls self love and how to be gently kind and loving to the most improtant person you!
]
What I cannot do for myself I can often do for my son. As a Mom you are always teaching 24 7 and here is another teaching moment for you dear one.

So when you feel like a big thing of ice cream grab one of your girls and go for a walk in the park. WHen you feel like throwing your hands up and having a good cry reach your hands out and greab onto one of your grils or both and go do something you wnat to do with them that will spark your spirit for life.

Your helaing is within you as well as your pain just harder to find but its there! Reach deep and remember your girls will learn from you! Show them how to do it. Many lessons I have learned were messy ones, I am no ballerina in the arena of life but I always get up to dance, sometimes willingly and sometimes I just get dragged out onto the dance floor. I never regret dancing though I always wish I could be more graceful! Graceful just ain't me adn THATS OK TOO!!!!!!!

So, my dear Bee get out there and shake a tailfeather no matter the grace just knwo you make your own beat!!!!

Love ya dear friend!

Christy I am so sorry for how you and DH are feeling right now. What I always remind myself and it is not easy to say and hard to believe when I am in the moment but God maybe saving you from something terrible or may even have something even better in store. Sometimes God says no to give us something better! I have never been let down. Like the men in my life they never got worse only better and thats because I started to let God help me with my picks!

Here is food for thought, ready:

Next Christmas that house could spring a leak and the bathroom gives out and yes you have company staying not a great first Xmas in your new house!

Heres another one for you: The topwn just decided to dig up your street as there is a problem with drains or power lines and yup that new furntiure is destroed you cannot opent he window in the srping due to all the loud noie and smells!

Now here is the best: Ready, you wait and you put your home in God's hands......then there it is maybe not today but down the road and OMG its less than you had planned to spend and now its off to Disney you go to celebrate!

Trust God and know he is looing out for you and your family. The car I wanted to buy as my first car was a street rod, yes I dug the muscle cars what can I say?? My father suggested I get the 1967 Dodge Dart it was not pretty or fast but is what the best 1st car I could have had safe reliable and it did not cost my lung to get fixed!

Prayers and know I am sure your house will not be like my 1967 dodge dart but it will be what is right for you!!!!!!

WHAT?? Get this straight, from this horses mouth - I did not read your post as whiney, nor begging for sympathy. what I get from your post is... hey, this is who I am - do you still want to be my friend? If you cannot BE REAL with me - then you are no more than a "figment of my imagination"

because you dare share an important part of your soul with me, I feel I can reach out and connect with you - to me you are being brave!! From the bottom of my heart Bee. I was raised in the Christian faith. In my Bible God says that we need to intercede for others and raise them up to Him in prayer - can you begin to understand how I feel that to do so is a privelidge to my Lord, to my faith... and I am humbled by it...

and I often need to be humbled!!
:grouphug:

Please be my friend. I dont have many friends.

I agree w/ the other posters, and am late to the party as usual. I don't see it as complaining or asking for sympathy... it is totally understandable to mourn a loss, and divorce is loss. The loss of something that was once good (or you wouldn't have gotten married in the first place!).

Anyhow, congrats on the 20 lbs! My theory is, whatever works. You should try to eat a bit more, and/or be taking a multi-vitamin daily so that you don't get sick!

Shula, so sorry about the house. It really hurts when you set your heart on something and don't get it. :(

Minnie, I am not far from UNC, although I am a Duk-ie (I guess, I think I am about to be throw out of my program, but that is another story!). The Outer Banks is beautiful.

Eeyore, I am lonely too. Being a childless woman in my 30s, I really don't have many friends. However, it is mostly my fault, I guess. Most have young children or are about to, and honestly... I am just not a kid person. I am also weird. I like hockey and beer and computers and kitties and Disney, and don't like kids and shopping and pink and girly stuff. I have my husband and a few single friends to hang with, but overall, it is mostly just he and I.

Today I have all my food in the fridge so I should be good on cals, and DH already said this is a non-beer day.
B: Toaster scramble, 150
L: Sliced beef meal, 230, salad, 100, yogurt, 60
S: Strawberries, 50
D: LC Salisbury Steak/Mac&Cheese, 260, Salad, 100.
S: FF popcorn, 200

Total for the day, 1150. Exercise, 1.5 hours of hockey, and hopefully some crunches when I get home (I need to get more serious about abs!).

 Fidge and Bee, thank you for your support!! It means a lot to know that everyone else has gone through troubled times too and there's always another perspective!!

I think the hardest part for us is going back to all of our families and friends and tell them we lost the house of our dreams :sad1: !!! I know in the end it will all work out and maybe this happened so we can pay off DH's student loans and stop spending all of our hard earned money on those 7% and 8% interest rates.

I just can't believe a realtor would take the seller's verbal agreement and not have them sign that night . . . and then renig because there was a few more bucks to be made when she got the other offer the following morning. It really makes you lose trust in realtors . . . No offense of any of you of course if you are one or know one :rolleyes1 !! Just trying to place my trust and faith in God, because I'm sure he knows what's best for us!!

Bee-

I didnt find your post whiney. I just saw a friend bearing her soul. I saw a peep in need of lifting up. I know in my situation there were alot of days if my 2 friends at the time hadnt come and picked me up off the floor (literally) and made me get dressed and keep going, I wouldnt have made it. We need our friends. Real or peepish. Its ok to reach out- just dont feel like you have to pull back when we reach for you as well. We care about you and want to share your joys as well and see you through your sorrows. Thats what peeps do- isnt it?

That McDonald's salad must be good! Also your dinner salad sounds great! DD13 played VMK while she was home sick yesterday. I told her to look for you. Her name is Sunny Amazing Waffle!? She said it was the only name left??

It is good Melinda! But I am only planning to have it once this week! And thanks on the dinner salad. I do that one often. It's so easy, I LOVE it, and I feel really good about eating it too. :thumbsup2 I haven't had much VMK time lately! :guilty: I need to get on there Saturday for a bit. I will keep an eye out for her. If you ever know she's on in the evenings or weekends, let me know, and I can go in and add her to my friends. I also might have a few extra vmk goodies she might enjoy. I like to gift new players! ;) And tell her I  the name! That's great! I think if you put in a name that isn't available, they throw out suggestions for you. Maybe it was one of those? :confused3

Yeah he does!!! And he's not bad to look at either!! I think it will be Phil and Jordan going???? :confused3

I'm jealous of your agility class!! I used to do it with my dog that passed away. What great exercise!!! :goodvibes

He isn't bad to look at, is he? ;)

Aw! :( It is a lot of fun. She is so small! (She's a 13" beagle and petite!) And it's hilarious to watch her do those jumps! Too cute!

i'm hoping it won't be jordin, but she did really bad last night. it just wasn't her night. but if people actually did base it on the last two weeks, i'm hoping it will be phil and lakisha or phil and chris. i honestly like everyone who's left, so it's a hard choice, especially when 2 have to go! but i just don't feel like jordin deserves to go home after 1 bad performance. the rest of her performances have been so good. i voted for blake a few times last night, and i might've snuck in a couple of votes for jordin, too. :)

I am right there with ya! Blake and Jordin are my faves! I am hoping for Chris and Lakisha actually, but I guess we'll find out tonight.

What kind of questions? I have been doing child care so long that I haven't had an interview in 20 years. I'm getting out of the child care business this summer!! Hoping this will be a good motivator for my weight loss (not to mention being out of the house for part of the day and away from the grazing temptation)

Jeanne... what kind of job? I have done a ton of phone interviews but they have all been for tech jobs.

A phone interview is usually to "screen" applicants before having them come in for a face-to-face. In my experience it has been more about them being sure you have the right skill set and less about touchy-feely things... sometimes they even have a list of questions that they will run through. If you know your stuff, there is nothing to worry about. Just try to relax, take a deep breath, and let your knowledge shine through.

Also, if you honestly don't know the answer, don't be afraid to answer "I don't know" as the worst thing you can do is try to bs your way through and be wrong.

HTH!!

And Lynda, never done ME so sorry, I can't help...

Thanks Kat. It is for a position at the new Walmart distribution center. It is a job I would like to have as the benefit package is one of the best in town and it pays more than most other employers in town. Actually, in the retail/grocery industry around here it is the best staryting wage offered
($13.00 an hour) and is good for me. IF I wanted to give up the inhome childcare and go to work for a daycare I would not make over $10 an hour even though I've been in this profession for over 23 years. I'm very much looking forward to the change!

Awww, I am sorry Shula!! That stinks, but there is something better out there for you. I have to believe things happen for a reason, and there is a reason you werent meant to have that house. Keep your chin up, keep looking, and I would start by looking for a new realtor. They should have never said the house was yours if there was a chance, even a slim one, that it wasnt yours to be had.

GOOD MORNIN PEEPS!!

I feel for ya! Sounds like sleepwalking to me, but I have no clue how to fix that one! Of course DD was exhausted this morning getting up for school, but I made her...I am betting she wont want a nap later either, but I will make her do that too! Such a mean mommy!! She will be a real peach if she doesnt get some more rest. Poor thing has bags under her eyes. Here to hoping we both get some rest today!!

disneyfreak - who leads your agility class? I'd love to get involved with that for my dog. He's a westie. We had so much fun in obedience training and it's been a year and a half, so having to listen to me instead of me just giving in to everything would be good.
Plus the exercise would be good.

dene - Yeah on the text messages. My friend Tammy doesn't even drink and writes the craziest messages to me because she doesn't proofread the word finisher thingie before she sends. I make her go back and read the messages a lot.

Other Amber - you have fun in Disneyland!

So I really paid for the martinis plus the creme brullee. I was nauseous for 2 hours.
Lying in the hotel bed not able to do anything but whine to myself.
It sucked.
I should know better by now, right? I've had gastric bypass since 2/12, but I still do stupid things. I just hope it keeps making me sick so when I do bad, I have the negative effects immediately - instead of just weight gain later.

I work in an HR department, and most of the time when the recruiters here do phone interviews, it is basically to see if the applicants have the right skills & if their schedule matches that of the position. They ask very basic questions. Sometimes, they might ask about why the applicant is interested in the position too. They usually don't get too in depth though. Hope I'm not too late! Good luck! :)

And Lynda, never done ME so sorry, I can't help...

I'm not the one that asked about ME, but I know someone did. I just can't remember who it was now. :confused3

oh that's right I was going to answer the ME question...

pigget I do and I dont... I do take our luggage I dont send it thru the ME airport people - so if that driver touches my bags (dh is good at waiting till they are distracted!!) we may throw a couple of bucks in the tip jar - but its not a tip position, and the people that work ME behind the scenes dont get tipped (the luggage handlers at teh airport, the drivers from the airport to the resorts, and the handler from the resort to your rooms )

so if there is an obnoxios plea for a tip, I usually ask him if he will share the tip with all the others!

If there is no obnoxious plea, I may tip him because he was polite...

and dont get me started on the new hiree who couldnt find her way from WL to the airport!! (a 3 hour tour!)

disneyfreak - who leads your agility class? I'd love to get involved with that for my dog. He's a westie. We had so much fun in obedience training and it's been a year and a half, so having to listen to me instead of me just giving in to everything would be good.
Plus the exercise would be good.

We are going to the same instructor we went to for puppy classes and Canine Good Citizen classes. She owns the place, and she has a nice facility right on her property, and Jasper just LOVES her!!! I like her too. She is just great - gives instruction, suggestions, and encouragement very well! Plus, it is located out in the country just outside of the town we live in, so it takes us about 5-10 minutes to get there. The place is called Moongazer. This is her website. http://www.moongazer.com/training/

Oops Lynda... got confused there. Happens way too easily for age 31. I always say that I will be completely gone by age 60, at this rate!

Good luck on the interview Jeanne!

I think I am about to get kicked out of my MS program. I needed to have my thesis complete by tomorrow and it just isn't going to happen. I have no-one to blame but myself and my complete lack of motivation. :guilty:

pigglet-I am so excited for you! Have fun shopping!
Shopping for a Disney trip is a blast!

I haven't checked in for a few days....all my dising time has been used up reading all the pretrippies and trip reports. I love reading them...especially since I have 17 months until our next trip.

Here is what I have done so far:
B-Slim Fast and banana 6 points
L-Lean Cuisine 7 points

Still have 12 points left for dinner and snack.:)

I hope you all have a wonderful day!:dance3:

I am also weird. I like hockey and beer and computers and kitties and Disney, and don't like kids and shopping and pink and girly stuff. I have my husband and a few single friends to hang with, but overall, it is mostly just he and I.

Kat I am weird - dh is weird, our kids are weird - we all like hockey - DS 21 would rather have one Guiness Beer, than a 6pak to guzzle (and in college, that's just weird!) DS#2 in 1st grade loved the FarSide cartoons, and he "got" them - weird kid (his 1st grade teacher picked up on this and said he challenges her to keep her mouth quiet, he 'gets' her humor!) and dd is so not a pink girly girl - she's weird too... and with the age span, I never got along with ds friends' parents because I had a "baby" and dd age group parents, just didnt want to hang with this old lady! (who likes hockey, message boards, and Disney!!)

 WOOHOOTY DS:banana:

He is getting a commendation from work (SPO - Student Police Officer) they are having some kind of banquet, and he was told he had to be there - when his bosss got the doctor's excuse for his kidney stone she stopped by and convinced him by telling him he's getting an award!! So he's not taking his vicaden today, and he's in pain... :confused3

I really should've gone down there! He's going to need a CT scan... *sigh (and Disney's Got My Money!!)
