How great was your mini-meet ?

Talk about a perfect day! It was hot (upper 90's) but the humidity was very low and we were in the shade. And of course ARod waited 9 days just so we could be there to see him get #500! What was even better was being there with friends...it helped to put many things back into perspective. Anyway. my DH was fascinated with the el train that was right outside the stadium and kept taking pics of the trains as they would go by. I kept seeing him take pic's over that way and finally asked him what he was doing and he said he was taking pics of the subway, DS proceeded to immediately correct him with "Dad! That's the el, not the subway!".

Unfortunately the Flash pass does not work on kiddie rides. The most exciting thing we rode was Judge Roy Scream (almost walk on) and the La whatever thing. The ride has been around since I was a little girl. That whole section is probably at least 30 years old. The ride is down right painful! It is a bobsled on no track so you get slammed around so much! The ride stopped so fast in 1 section that the bar slammed against DD's chest.
The water was not $20.00. I was willing to pay that much since I was stuck in line w/ no access to water. I did not want to carry anything around and so we grabbed drinks wherever.
Believe me one time a year is enough. Although to give credit due- much better experience than last year. Only 1 person walking around smoking. All employees wear buttons that say NO SMOKING and in little print it says "only in designated areas. Also signs saying bathing suits tops have to be covered. It was a child predator's dream last year. Almost all girls from 8 to 18 had tiny bikini tops and their shorts rolled down and up so barely more than a bikini bottom would cover. Yikes! Not exactly what I want my 'tweeners to see.

Do you sometimes wish WDW was here instead of Sixflags? I do! LOL How great would that be....

My friend wants to go tomorrow but I'm thinking of going shopping instead.

No and I don't know if I want to. I loved the books, but the Movies don't seem to follow the same story line at all. The only thing that seems to be the same between them is that Jason Bourne has lost his memory. After that, the plot lines aren't even close. On well, that is so true of many movies made from books (ie the ending of The Firm )

Matt (DS -17) just called from the Camp he is working on in Michigan. He and some of the other staff had the day off yesterday so they drove to Cedar Point in Ohio. They spent X hours in the car, $X for the tickets and went on 5 (Yes, FIVE) rides all day long. Granted they were the 5 best roller coasters, but still . . . . The longest wait was 3 hours for one ride.

Lisa (DD -13) called and she made it safely to Gymnastics Camp in Pennsylvania. It was hard to put her and a friend on the plane from Orlando, but the girls were fine with it and got to the camp safely and are having a great time.

Jim (DH) also called and he is on his way back from a Dive / DIS Meet in the Florida Keys. They had a great time and lots of fun.

Hey Fellow Escaping Moms!! I saw Francis last weekend and she is adjusting to her new home quite well. Just think next time this year, instead of getting the kids ready for school, we will be packing for a TOAL. Lisa still hasn't "forgiven" me yet for deciding on going on this cruise, but for the trips she takes (she is currently at Camp in PA), the traveling I do for her daily to the Gym, around the country for her meets, etc I think it's ok. The "boys" are good with this. I think Lisa thinks I should go, but that I should take her with me. Unfortunately, the school system does not agree that taking the first two weeks of school off would be a good thing.

This is soooo true! One of the ones that bugged me the most was Heinlein's Starship Troopers. The only things from the book that made the horrible movie were the title, the characters names and that there was an alien race that looked like spiders. The book has a LOT more depth than that movie.

However, I was pleasantly surprised with the first Narnia movie - I have loved the books for years and thought it was a pretty good adaptation.

Well, it looks like I've missed another pirate run! :rotfl2:

We had a nice time yesterday celebrating grandma's 99th. We took her out to dinner and she ate an entire plate of BBQ ribs! It was pretty funny seeing all the flowers she received - when we left yesterday evening, the count was up to 7 bouquets! We helped her spread them around her house so she can enjoy them all. Karen your daughter is tooo cute. I see you were on the magic shortly before us last year. We were on the 10/28/06 Eastern. Alas we did not get any pics w the Capt.

I'm hoping since the Capt is right near our room we may be able to steal a few with him on this cruise. He looks as good if not better than Disneys Capt.
Thanks Maureen! Not too many pics of her with the princesses though. They're too 'foofy-la-la' for her. And ITA with DCLs CJS...MUCH better than the one in the MK IMO.

I did tell Lisa and Theresa that the website was done. Why am I taking the blame for this. :confused3

I did what I was told and Theresa was going to take over just filling in the content. How the heck is this my fault?

Just to clarify on this while I am deleting all the other referenced quotes regarding the site and password information, Jeff set up the site. I transferred the information to Theresa, then updated it deleting everyone's name and info who participates on the other site from it so that they would not have access to our information and noone would be able to get their information either. After JR got the information to create the website, Theresa did post that she was sorry for the delay due to the baseball and business requirements for her family. She offered to help with this site in any way. We were waiting for her update, not Jeff's work.

Theresa, I understand how family responsibilities can take priority of the things for the DIS boards and am not pointing fingers at you and I hope that noone else gets upset with her about this. I simply would like to clarify how Jeff was involved in the first group site.

You look great and I have that dress! I don't fit in it anymore, but I have it! LOL

Whoa, busy family!
I bet that was hard (with Lisa). My eldest DD is 13 too... I'd be scared to death! (but she's not the most mature 13yr old in the world- that's for sure!)

Me, Jack, Johnna, Justine and the kids would like to thank everyone who came to Yankee Stadium yesterday. We all had a blast and hope you did also. We all witnessed a piece of baseball history and were happy to enjoy it with good people. We're glad we are going on a cruise with such a nice crew.

Unfortunately our camera died very early and could not post any pics but thanks to Lorri, Paula and Sil you were able to see our group photo in front of Yankee Stadium at the base of the "bat".

We would like to keep everyones spirit high as we approach the 12 month mark prior to the TOAL. What we experienced last night was an example of what this thread is all about, bringing good people closer together.

Our next DIS mini-meet will take place on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at WDW Wilderness Lodge Villas (poolside) starting at 1 PM, All are welcomed!

Hope everyone is well.

Once again thanks to Lorri, Paula and Sil and their wonderful families for making our Yankee DIS meet a good time.:)

About the small rides- well I tend to go with whatever kids fit the big rides. That place is TOO EXPENSIVE to go and only ride the one small section for kids that are shorter and the few other rides little kids can ride. Rita stayed with my sister this time. Before Robert got tall enough it used to be just me and Ruby (from our family anyway- I've taken nieces and such with us though). The only time I go with the "little kids" in my family is if I'm with someone else or hubby. Otherwise we'd all be stuck riding only the small rides and most of those *I* can't ride- yanno? LOL
(cause I'm an adult/too tall/etc.).

They've added quite a few more rides throughout the park that all ages/sizes can ride --- I can't remember how many they brought up from Astroworld.....
I know because now I don't *have* to stay in Looneytune land with 6dd all day anymore. ;) She's really small for her age so, even though she is 6 she isn't tall enough to ride really good rides. ;)

I've never been jostled on the bobsled ride... now Texas Giant- that one abuses ya and gives you a headache. I never ride that one more than once (it's the wooden rollercoaster. If you haven't rode it before- you won't know what I'm talking about but if you think boblsed is abusive, don't EVER ever ride the TG. LOL) .

I was thinking the same thing! I like the bobsled! LOL!

Hmm, maybe because I usually go on a weekday (during the day- although sometimes staying later into the evening or until close) I've never seen the teenyboppers not dressed appropriately and I've never seen people walking around smoking where they shouldn't (and can't say the same on that respect at WDW...) -I guess I've just been lucky!

I get what you're saying now- about WILLING to pay that much for the water. I thought you were saying it DID cost that much and my eyes were bugging out.

I never go on weekends either..... I think water is $2..... It's been a month or since I've been though. ;)

She seemed to really enjoy the digital photo frame so I am glad I took the time to resize and load all those photos.

Today I have been baking zuccini bread. I have 7 loaves done and 3 in the oven. I always forget how much work it is!

Well, I am a die hard Tiger's fan. Unfortunately, the team just slipped out of 1st in our division. It has been really hard to watch this losing streak. Mark and I are going to the game on Tuesday agains Tampa Bay and I sure hope they win just for me. My kids tease me when I am in a bad mood because they assume the Tigers lost. I'm Back! Did ya miss me? I'm not even gonna try to play ketchup. We went down to San Antonio last Wed. and just got home. My Godson graduated from Air Force bootcamp on Fri. We had a pretty good time, stayed in base housing, only cost us $36.00 a night for a 1 bedroom suite and we shared that with GS's parents. Had a full kitchen, so we ate most meals in. We had to "compete" for his time as his new bride and her parents were there, also the grandparents and 3 buddies, so didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked with him. :sad1: Just gives us a good excuse to go visit next year. :thumbsup2 His TI was pretty shocked when he introduced all 13 of us to him :lmao: He'll be boarding a Grey Hound at 12:01 tomorrow morning bound for Biloxi Mississippi. Can you say Sucker! :lmao: My oldest DD is not as social as her littler sis so this is her B-day party every year. I take Megan and her best friend and my youngest DD and we spend the day at 6Flags. Last year we caught Aly and AJ in concert which they loved. This year it was Coobrila. OMG! They were incredible.
It was SOOOO HOT yesterday! I was getting strange looks since my shirt has a huge sweat stain in front- just from standing in line. At one point, after standing in line for over an hour for that dumb re-done bobsled ride- I was willing to pay $20.00 for a cold bottle of water.
Anyway, I am $250.00 lighter but, they had a GREAT time- and I survived. All good things.:rotfl2:

This is soooo true! One of the ones that bugged me the most was Heinlein's Starship Troopers. The only things from the book that made the horrible movie were the title, the characters names and that there was an alien race that looked like spiders. The book has a LOT more depth than that movie.

However, I was pleasantly surprised with the first Narnia movie - I have loved the books for years and thought it was a pretty good adaptation.

He'll be there for a bit over a year and then we're not sure where. His MOS is Meteorology. I'll post a photo as soon as I get them downloaded.

I'm so glad that you had such a great time! The last time I was in SA was about.....23 yrs ago for my sister's graduation from Air Force boot camp.... :rotfl: :rotfl: It's only about 4 1/2 hrs away you would think we could drive down sometime...... :rotfl:

I know where I can find you.:rolleyes1 No where near the sun!! Glad you are convincing Jon to WDW for the 3rd.:woohoo: If he is in England, will he see Daivid???:confused3

No, he's North of David quite a bit. He is there to finalize the deal with buying an exsisting business and opening up a new store. He wasn't happy though the guy he is *hammering over the deal* with insisted on having their first meeting as soon as Jon arrived (after a 9 hr plane trip that landed at 4:30 am our time and then there is a 3hr trip from the airport.......). Jon told him that was fine but, things might not go his way.... ;)
I don't think Jon will have a free day at all.

Thanks for correcting your post.

Why can't everyone just get along? Why is there a part of this group that is so afraid of any other group/site that others are attacked for being friends with those who do not DIS?

I had a post on this thread edited for TELLING THE TRUTH...... it's sad that things have come to this.

I'm curious to see what you think of ABD when you are back.

This will be the first time that the two children (that are going with me -- 16dd & 9ds) or I have been to the East coast!

Dh has been to all of the places and is so excited for us!

I will be more then happy to share about the ABD! It took me months to decide on which trip to take! Originally 16dd & I were going to do the London/Paris.
I really want to take one of the new ones in 2008 but, with the repo in August and then 2 wks in Korea/Austrailia in July (16dd and I are going to World Youth Day -- we're Catholic).
And I want one a cruise out of Galvaston -- we would save at least $1,000 just because of no airfare for the 5 of us! LOL!

IF her IP was banned on the other site - how was she "deleting everyone's name and info who participates on the other site??????

How was she able to cross reference anything. And truly what difference does it make if someone has an id on both? Both sites are set up to share information regarding DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!! There are several others out there too. Ya know it is the way of the internet.... to seek out information (the good the bad and the ugly). Unfortunately like in life a few bad eggs tend to ruin it for a whole bunch. I am going on a trip to places I never would have thought of ever going.... I want all the information I can get.

They've added quite a few more rides throughout the park that all ages/sizes can ride --- I can't remember how many they brought up from Astroworld.....
I know because now I don't *have* to stay in Looneytune land with 6dd all day anymore. ;) She's really small for her age so, even though she is 6 she isn't tall enough to ride really good rides. ;)

I never go on weekends either..... I think water is $2..... It's been a month or since I've been though. ;)
The only time I've gone on weekends is when I have a season pass and so it doesn't matter if I get to ride many rides. But honestly I don't like standing in long lines.... I'm against long lines. Isn't everyone? LOL

Well it's not just the HEIGHT thing, it's also that when they are that little (atleast with Rita..) she also doesn't WANT to ride some bigger rides that she'd still be tall enough for, at that age doesn't like to walk around a lot (without a stroller like WDW has) and/or doesn't like standing in line AT ALL. It's a combination of things. Usually by the time they are tall enough to ride almost all and/or all the rides (ie: over 48 inches) they can handle the walking, want to ride the rides, and can "deal" with some standing in line. Yanno?
I don't live far from Six Flags- atleast not far in "texas terms" of far. LOL It's about a 40-45min drive for us which to some might seem far but for us it's not a big deal at all. I've been going there since I was a wee one- I know all the rides they have. (still wish WDW was here instead :rotfl: )

Lisa how can you have deleted every ones's name that participates on the "other board"? Did you also delete yours, as you are registered over there also?
Can we not share all the information, as YA'LL have also profitted from some of "our" plannings. Such as the discount from the Howard Johnson's in Anaheim?

oh yeah... I forgot to post some good news I "came across" recently. Remember I was worried that even if school started later here that my eldest, going into highschool the 2008-2009 school year, would need to REGISTER right smack during the time we were gone on the cruise?
Well if this year is any indication- it shouldn't be a problem. This year they start school Aug 27th and I noticed signs up out front of the highschool the other day that said freshman orientation/registration on Aug 6th. That's 21 days before school starts. So if they do the same thing next year- we shouldn't have any problems with missing that before the cruise.

Maybe it was all the nutmeg?

Disney did do a good job with that. They have a sequel coming out, the next book...

That would be Prince Caspian. They're saying that they're going to do all 7 books, releasing them one a year each May. I'm a little concerned that the quality will suffer with such an optimistic release schedule.

Why must you go on to childish finger pointing. I am not THAT site. I did not set it up - I did not start the thread. I like many others participate in other sites too. I do not have reservations at HOJO. I was here from the beginning when they announced the PC cruise. I was here and because my past experience with another cruise thread was absolutely great that I wanted to be a part. LOOK BACK - you will see that as soon as I got my reservation I posted too. Do not ASSume that if a person does not post 1000's of messages that a person is not here reading and figuring out when and where to become an active part of the thread.

I am not an active member of the other thread or any other thread. I am a lurker - a seeker of information regarding this cruise. Your pointing fingers at me is extremely childish. I did not point the finger at Lisa - I quoted her directly. Which then makes 100% sense as to why Tom did not have my information or that of others who submitted as well.

Crzy,

First let me say if you see my response (originally) to you and Ladypoo My comments were directed at Ladypoo not you...However in your second response you ASKED me how she was able to do what she did...and I answered. I did accuse you of being childish and that was a typo on my part (i'm sorry) I meant to accuse THEM of being childish.

Granted i may have been alittle harsh but lately it seems that as individuals (I believe the term u used is Lurkers) come on the site lately they have been misconstrewing the history of what has happened since Jan and forcing some very nice people to leave the board because of they just don't want to have to deal with the drama any more.

If you want to know the history of the website and the reason for the singling out of individuals by the site creators (lisa was not the only one) then just ask them. But to pick up on 1 post and assume that all the information on the post is gospel and that the action taken was as stated without knowing the whole truth is just wrong.

Shelley, Tom and Cheryl it was nice chatting with you the other night.
I will go back to lurking and reading and gathering information for my family to enjoy this cruise.

Hi Erin,

Please don't stop posting to this thread or any other. No one person or group owns any threads here. As DISers, we're all free to post pretty much where we please as long as we follow the guidelines.

I don't think anyone should feel bad about having more than one group of friends. None of us should have to "pick a side".

To all the lurkers, I say come out, post and have fun. We may not agree with everyone, but that shouldn't stop any DISer from taking part in this thread.

Well, I have to get ready for work. I hope everyone has a great day.:flower3:

What a sweetie - we dithered between a dalmation & a golden. Maybe next time:thumbsup2

Dals can be very, very high strung and aren't always good with kids, you need to do research on breeder, etc. when looking at them. But they are wonderful to have!! (We got lucky with ours, she's not too high strung and loves the kids tremendously - she chases other dogs away when they get too close to "her kids." Of course the night we brought home DS10, her chin was right at the height of the cradle so she looked in the cradle and as soon as he was finally quiet and asleep, she barked..... DS10 started sleeping in the higher up crib that night....)

That would be Prince Caspian. They're saying that they're going to do all 7 books, releasing them one a year each May. I'm a little concerned that the quality will suffer with such an optimistic release schedule.

I'm curious when they will go back and do book 1 since Lion, Witch and Wardrobe is #2....

Ya. Especially without the word "Not" being involved (sorry, Tom, I had to take the shot). :rotfl: :confused3 :rotfl:

Your Dal is such a sweetie - if I can figure it out I will try to post a pic of my Dal sweetie. She is a rescue from the Willing Hearts Dal Rescue, we got her 4years ago after we lost our male Dal Marbles who was 11 years old. Tell me about your Dal's temperment. Our first Dal was very aggressive but our femal is such a baby!:lmao:

We so lucked out. She was a quasi-rescue, was a mother who took her 20 year old daughters dog away since she was in a "no pets allowed" apartment complex, had gotten no shots, no neuter, etc. and we were introduced by a mutual friend....

She is wonderful, thinks she is a lap dog sometimes, can't play fetch (better at keep away), loves "her kids", her bad side is climbing on the counter to look for food and eating whatever she can find (usually a loaf of bread)....

Todd knows, and he likes me anyway.

Actually, I got in trouble once for having too many lines, or whatever it is, in my sig. And I think if I put the logo in, I'd have to delete the last remaining picture of me when I still was semi-skinny. Allow me that one last bit of self-indulgence.;)

Besides.....I'm in the witness protection program......:cool2:

Yes I do , and of course I do ......Also if you add the Medium cruise Banner to your siggy you will be fine ...Just add it to the same line as your existing picture ...or if you send the picture to my email I can combine them for you as one ....

Hi Everyone I'm peaking in from work (Read: Sneaking)

The Police Concert was out of this world!!!

I burnt my hand very badly on my straightening iron and am typing really weirdly!

Happy Birthday Zack!

Lastly, and most importantly, I think that unless we cease and desist immediately, the fate of our thread is sealed!

I know alot of you feel as strongly as I do that that SHOULD NOT happen. It would be a crying shame.

So I am BEGGING that certain types of posts (and we all know what I mean here) be conducted through PMs. PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!

That depends on how you count. TLWW was written first, the Prince Caspian, then the Dawn Treader, then The Silver Chair, The Horse & his Boy,The Magician's Nephew, and The Last Battle. If you go in timeline of Narnia order, it's MN, TLWW, H&B, PC, DT, SC & LB.

My Dal suffers the same hearing problem as my kids..... that selective listening disorder, they hear what they want to hear.....

Of course when my Dal, Miranda (...), is bad while we are at work, she comes down and sits by the bathroom door. The bathroom used to be where I locked her while I was cleaning up after her and managing kids... kinda became her time out room....

Seeing these Star Wars Characters reminded me of all the individuals we saw "dressed up" at the Orange Couny Convention Center earlier this year. Lisa (DD13) was competing at a Gymnastics Meet there and in another portion of the complex there was something called "Mega Con" (I think) going on. It appeared to be a comic book convention. The attendee's were dressed very authentically. (It actually scared Lisa a bit) and there were lots of individuals dressed as characters from Star Wars.

My DH is from about 45 miles north of there...

Yes she is. She and her friend are there for a week. This should be a good experience for both of them. Her friend hs been trained by her parents (who own the gym the girls train at) so it will be interesting to see what new drills, coaching techniques, etc the girls will learn. It is always good to have a new prespective for training. Plus, they will just have a lot of fun there together.

Funny story. When dd and I were in WDW a couple of weeks ago, she wanted to go on It's a Small World one last time. So we were loaded behind a family from India. As the ride progressed, I smelled this aweful odor. It kept getting stronger and finally (hey we were in dim light) I took a wiff of my arm pit! I was sweating like a pig the whole time were where there so I thought maybe it had caught up with me. It wasn't coming from me. It had a garlic tinge to it. So we gt off the ride and the smell goes away. I think it may of been the people in front of us. I know some cultures don't use deodorant. even dd noticed it. When we got off the ride I took one more pit wiff and was assured it wasn't coming from me!

I'm not sure, but I heard that we get to see Walt's apartment (is that Club 33), plus we get reserved seats for Indiana Jones show, and front of the line for Indiana Jones. The girl at ABD said she wouldn't be surprised if we got fastpasses for our free day at Disneyland. Not sure though?

Probably answered already because I'm so far behind. Walt's apartment is not Club 33. But the space that became Club 33 was originally designed to become his apartment. The apartment he did use is above the Firehouse on Main Street.

Also, there is no Indiana Jones 'show' at DL, only the ride. It's probably Fantasmic that you get seats for.

Now...might consider the SF to LA adventure. That would solve how I'm getting to the port.

If people want to lurk for awhile that is great.:thumbsup2 People need to see that this will start to be one happy place.:goodvibes I had no sides..... I was trying to listen to both sides but do you know what????:confused3 I like lots of different people. :woohoo: The best side is me being happy with lots of friends!!! :yay: :yay:

trying desparately to catch up....was too busy this weekend so now that I'm at work, I've got time....shh...don't tell :lmao:

MUM is the word!!!!:rolleyes1

::yes:: well said, begging here too and will add another PLEASE - this isn't what I came here for......

Another please too!!!!:grouphug:

Lastly, and most importantly, I think that unless we cease and desist immediately, the fate of our thread is sealed!

I know alot of you feel as strongly as I do that that SHOULD NOT happen. It would be a crying shame.

So I am BEGGING that certain types of posts (and we all know what I mean here) be conducted through PMs. PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!

Hey MR!!! :wave2:

So very well put as usual. This was always such a fun place to come...now it seems to be a powder keg. Your suggestion for PMs is brilliant!!!

Hope everyone is having a great Monday. I just got back from the doctors...I have yet another ear infection. Yech. So, DD is pampering me with some TLC and we're going to watch a movie...if I have my say, it will be one of the POCs. ;)

Happy Monday everyone!

I survived all the zuccini bread baking. Today I sent one to work with DH, brought one to work with me, gave one to the next door neighbor who loaned me a couple of her loaf pans and kept one out at home to eat. The other SIX are being frozen for later use! :thumbsup2 (Cheryl - If I come anywhere near Schaumburg, I'll bring one to you.)

Actually, I have a question for you Cheryl - why are you a Sox fan? Schaumburg is definitely more North than South! :rotfl2: (For those non-Chicago area folks - traditionally, the north-side is the diehard Cubs fans and the south-side is the diehard Sox fans. I'm from due West of the city, so I have always cheered for both! ... but please, please, please do not make me actually watch a game :rotfl2: )

I got a really good photo of Grandma eating her plate of ribs - so this is her on her 99th birthday!

Well, it's either you or that $1500 6'3" life size statue of CJS that I saw on the disney shopping website that my DH won't let me get because it isn't, ummmm, quiet correct :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:!

Not so life size since the real CJS is not anywhere near 6'3"

We so lucked out. She was a quasi-rescue, was a mother who took her 20 year old daughters dog away since she was in a "no pets allowed" apartment complex, had gotten no shots, no neuter, etc. and we were introduced by a mutual friend....

She is wonderful, thinks she is a lap dog sometimes, can't play fetch (better at keep away), loves "her kids", her bad side is climbing on the counter to look for food and eating whatever she can find (usually a loaf of bread)....
Sound so much like my Gracie. She is a Weimeraner. I was just discussing with someone this morning how she can't seem to get the concept of fetch. She needs so much exercise and this would be a perfect way for her to get it. He is also a counter surfer. We have learned to not leave anything around and to shut all the doors to the rooms because she also loves tissues and all the garbage cans have lids except she has learned to step on the foot lever and manages to get stuff out of them if we aren't looking. But she is really relaxed for the most part. She even knows when dinner is going to start and heads for her cage. And at night time she does the same thing. With out being asked.

I'm playing major ketchup here!

I just wanted to say hi MR:wave: I've missed you and then I miss your posting! I can't win. Hope you had fun at the Police concert. I saw Sting many years ago and whoa, baby! He has aged very well.

Pamela, your Grandma looks fabulous. Mark's grandma lived to be 99. She lived alone and took care of herself really well. She lived as long as she wanted to. We swear she decided when was time and just let go. We think she just really missed her husband.
They are awesome role models aren't they

Good afternoon! We are taking a break at the hotel for awhile. We have been doing so much walking these last few days trying to see all the sights. We took the subway down to the WTC site this morning, walked to Little Italy for lunch and then all along Canal street (I think if I had one more person ask me about a purse I could have slugged them!!) to catch the subway again. I want to try to make a carraige ride through Central Park later this evening after we get a little rest. This is one busy city!! It is so hard to believe that we will be leaving to come home tomorrow evening. We have really seen so much. But I have to say the highlight was meeting and spending time with our friends.:)

MR how was the concert yesterday? I hope you had a wonderful time--the weather was great.:)

I'm pretty sure that you're thinking about the space that became the Disney Gallery (which was designed to be a family apartment). Club 33 was always intended to be Club 33, as far as I know.

Oops, sorry, yes, the Gallery was supposed to be the apartment. Got my upstairs areas confused.

Now I am only going back 3 pages.

Well said MR! I agree wholeheartedly. I am glad you enjoyed the Police and that the weather was great for you all. Hope your hand heals quickly.:)

Sharon I hope Lisa has a ball at camp and learns lots of new things. :)

:lmao: :lmao:
The fish holder you made for Todd was wonderful!!:)

woo hoo.....incentive to keep reading, I've been waiting for pics....trip reports people....I want to hear all about it......back to reading now

I wish we had taken more pics of us! Adam got a ton of the Yankees. When I get home I will try to see if there are more to post.

Le sigh....

Have a great trip, Monica. Hoist a few for those of us who can't go.
