Bummer! I am many things, but tall is not one of them!
That's the position my brother played in college. He's a tall-ish skinny guy.
That's the type. A needed position on the team! They also give the push in the SCRUM!

You mean rules like "no dancing on the tables at Wavebands/Rockin Bar D"??
Uhuh. I have it on the highest authority there there is no such rule!
Yet another story I really shouldn't tell. You guys are gonna think I'm a loon. But....
The last time we bought a new washer and dryer, they told me to go buy a cord also. So I did.
Before they came to install them, my mother was visiting and she said "Maybe you better check and make sure that's the right cord". So we went into the laundry room and I plugged in the cord, which was still partially wrapped up around itself. I got the shock of my life! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_23.gif (*******************************************ZSzeb0 01_ZSYYYYYYKUUS)
DH said it was lucky I wasn't killed. It did temporarily blind me. My dad wanted to take me to the ER, but I told him there was no way in H.E. double hockey sticks I was walking into an ER and admitting how stupid I was.
Just see if I ever listen to my mother again.

OMg! And you had the smiley to go with that and everything!
The last time I did that was when I learned that it really isn't all that hard to fall overboard.:(
Um, what?
LOL! I must have 0,000 radar or something. I just got back from taking Ruby to her church activity and just posted what I'd multi-quoted earlier- and it was almost on the money for the big one!

......Sailing.......
C'Mon sing-a-long, J.R.
Im sailing away, set an open course for the virgin sea
Ive got to be free, free to face the life thats ahead of me
On board, Im the captain, so climb aboard
Well search for tomorrow on every shore
And Ill try, oh lord, Ill try to carry on
I look to the sea, reflections in the waves spark my memory
Some happy, some sad
I think of childhood friends and the dreams we had
We live happily forever, so the story goes
But somehow we missed out on that pot of gold
But well try best that we can to carry on
A gathering of angels appeared above my head
They sang to me this song of hope, and this is what they said
They said come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
I thought that they were angels, but to my surprise
They climbed aboard their starship and headed for the skies
Singing come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Come sail away, come sail away
Come sail away with me
Sorry - wrong sailing..;)

So that's actually perfect........
I have always have two guys delivery appliances. Sometimes furniture is more
If you had one guy just sit in the truck then $10 is fine for he who did all the work. The fact is; I don't think too many people tip at all because of the high delivery charges, so I think they appreciate anything extra....
I have to agree with that. We had the standard delivery charge from Lowe's triple in 5 years. No reason to tip for that 1/2 mile drive they did.

what does one pirate gets mixing dirt with salt water? :scratchin
Yes I met Mr Red, Blonde and Gold...., but that was a very, very long time ago. I'm all grown up now (sorta).
I am not personally familar with Filmore, but am familiar enough to appreciate what an awsome poster that is. Who is the recently deceased promoter that left a fortune in those collectable posters?????:scratchin :scratchin. Would love to get my hands on some of them.
I am not old enough to be personally familiar, but two of my brothers are 9 & 10 yrs older than me, so have been listening to that music since I can remember. I recall a big brewha in my house when those said brothers were caught up in a riot at the Boston Garden trying to get Zepplin tickets in '67 or '68 I believe (after the release of their 1st album in the states). There was never a dull moment in my house, I can tell you that:crazy2:

Now I'm on a song posting thing - here's one that my DH claims I must have because of all the time I spend on the boards:
Sitting on this barstool talking like a damn fool
Got the twelve oclock news blues
And Ive given up hope on the afternoon soaps
And a bottle of cold brew
Is it any wonder Im not crazy? is it any wonder Im sane at all
Well Im so tired of losing- I got nothing to do and all day to do it
I go out cruisin but Ive no place to go and all night to get there
Is it any wonder Im not a criminal?
Is it any wonder Im not in jail?
Is it any wonder Ive got
Too much time on my hands, its ticking away with my sanity
Ive got too much time on my hands, its hard to believe such a calamity
Ive got too much time on my hands and its ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands
Well, Im a jet fuel genius - I can solve the worlds problems
Without even trying
I have dozens of friends and the fun never ends
That is, as long as Im buying
Is it any wonder Im not the president
(hes not the president)
Is it any wonder Im null and void?
Is it any wonder Ive got
Too much time on my hands, its ticking away at my sanity

Here's another one that could be implied is about us....
Well it's good to have ol' Bob back
For a while we though he'd found his mind
But all he found was heartache outside these walls
From friendly consolation to total humiliation
He ain't fit for the real world, no not at all
Bill tired to escape us
His new wife thought he'd walk the line
But she walked in to find him here almost every time
She had him committed
But this jury is acquitted
Any wrong that might have come from doin' right
Chorus:
And we're all here, 'cause we're not all there
Some ramble aimlessly, some sit and stare
But there's one thing that we all share
We're all here, 'cause we're not all there
As for me I feel at home here
And I like the folks who care for me
'Cause they don't care if I'm half the man I used to be
It's not your normal institution
Just a run down bar in Houston
With a sign on the door that proudly reads
(Chorus)
We're all here, 'cause we're not all there

Boy, you guys are really taking me back to Freshman year in HS tonight.
But did you see Loverboy on the show last year when they brought the 80's bands back to sing their hits? I don't remember the name of the show, but DW and I loved watching it. Some of these groups were really awful.
I remember the Outfield came to the county fair here a few years back. We went over to where they were playing, heard one verse and left. They were NOTHING like they were in the 80's.

There are always bagpipes at the funeral of a police officer or fireman - at least here in NY. As soon as I hear them start up I well up.
I have several uncles who are ::cop: in NJ...Hudson County to be exact. It's not a phenomenon I'm unfamiliar with unfortunately.

Hey guys - may be OT here but if I post a picture of one of our old servers, if its over the limit, will I be in BIG trouble? I need to identify one of our head servers, (have his name but not his country or last name) and am hoping that someone on this board may recognize him or know if he's still on board.
Anyway, does anyone know if this is ok?

Boy, you guys are really taking me back to Freshman year in HS tonight.
But did you see Loverboy on the show last year when they brought the 80's bands back to sing their hits? I don't remember the name of the show, but DW and I loved watching it. Some of these groups were really awful.
I remember the Outfield came to the county fair here a few years back. We went over to where they were playing, heard one verse and left. They were NOTHING like they were in the 80's.
Yes Jeff I did watch that show......one of my ALL time favorites Billy Vera was one. I love his song At This Moment.....and well he was God Awful....somethings are better left in our memory I think!

I'm right there with you. Even though I have met you and conversed with you via these boards -- I guarantee I will recognize you and still forget your name when we meet. It is some kind of mental block that prohibits me from remembering someone's name, even though I knew it five minutes before.

I feel your pain - finally got through our year-end two weeks ago.
The sad thing is, my year-end for work isn't until June 30th. My Audit is usually the second week of August. Needless to say, I've already warned the Auditors we're pushing it up 1 week in 2008 so I can fly out on the 15th or 16th.
We're in the beginning process of our Budget process (each of our divisions has their own boards and need their approval before our Statewide board approves the entire company's budget - it is about a 3 month process). We also are in the business plan stage of starting a whole new concept/division for our business and then there is the usual monthly financial statements (14company wide, plus the consolidate full corporate one).

I got the shock of my life! http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_23.gif (http://*******************************************ZSzeb00 1_ZSYYYYYYKUUS)
DH said it was lucky I wasn't killed. It did temporarily blind me. My dad wanted to take me to the ER, but I told him there was no way in H.E. double hockey sticks I was walking into an ER and admitting how stupid I was.
Just see if I ever listen to my mother again.

That is fine. If it is too big, I will adjust it so that it doesn't slow down the page loading. :)

Hey...I actually saw Pat Benatar and Billy Squire in concert together at the "ole Cape Cod Coliseum
(remember that place, Diane?)party: party: party: ..The only place in New England where you arrived at Noon for an 8PM concert
I've definitely heard of it, but can't say I've ever been. How about the Hampton Beach Casino?

Anybody remember the show The Courtship Of Eddie's Father? That was the cutest show. For some reason, the theme song just ran through my head. :confused3

You tell him Mary Ann..........JR has bully tendencies ;)
If you had ever met me, you would know I have never been mistaken for a bully in my life.
And despite wearing glasses, I can still read six point type, you know.

The important information has links...thru hyperlinks. You can click on the words that are underlined to get right to the site or post listed. I am just doing that for the informational posts that will help with planning the cruise.
Thanks Lisa. I do appreciate what you do. I do know about the hyperlinks.
I remember looking for a couple of items in the summary a few thousand back and I started to look for something that wasn't linked and had no clue (call me "clueless") where it was. I gave up looking for it.
I just don't even try to get caught up if I miss a day (let alone a lot more). Now I just jump in where we're at.
Anything that is important for the cruise I know will be either on page 1 or there will be a link for it. :thumbsup2
