OK so...we have a Mickey 12x12 Scrapbook, Mickey and friends stickers, princess stickers, Tink stickers and (of course) Ariel stickers...

lunchboxes to decorate, a Mickey head swirly punch and an Ariel T-shirt complete with tiny silver hanger (that's for a scrapbook page from last year--we looked all over all of Disney World last year for an Ariel shirt for Leesee and there was not one to be found--she finally settled for an Ariel purse!)

Item #2...As you know the kids were at grandparents earlier this week....Now I must digress and tell you that Anna Banana has been begging us to fly somewhere for a couple of years now...so when I pick them up my mother pulls me aside and asks if she could send me and the girls to Orlando by plane because Airtran has specials (ends today) for that time period. So Disneydad and Drew will drive while we fly!!!!! Oh Leesee gets to fly too because she also has never flown before!!!!! :dance3: (Remember Drew got to fly to Orlando before.)

And thus ends my first ever mini-update!!!!!!!!!

it's going really well! I had to take a break for a few days because my finger was killing me from pricking it with the needle so many times but I have something to protect it now :thumbsup2 I love all these little quilting gadgets! My mom and I get together every other saturday to quilt when my DH is working. We'll be meeting up again this saturday. Do you get together & quilt with anyone? I'd love to see some pictures of projects you've done!

On the one with problems wiht a co-worker....I did tell them of a lady that we worked with at one job, who was problematic for everyone involved.

I told them that I was always nice to her no matter what.

But, if I had a real problem with her, I would just go to my boss and have her intervene so as not to creat a conflict....

What do you think of that??

One of the few charities I truly believe are legitimate and I give to is Make a Wish and Sunshine Foundation which does the same thing. The only other one is the Ronald McDonald House. I am so happy to hear that someone I "know" is actually on the receiving end of something I contributed to. I'm so happy for you to be getting this wonderful trip to Disney. So Disneydad and Drew will drive while we fly!!!!! Oh Leesee gets to fly too because she also has never flown before!!!!! :dance3: (Remember Drew got to fly to Orlando before.)

And thus ends my first ever mini-update!!!!!!!!!

DH goes to open it, nothing.....Checks the lock..Nothing..

The Door knob Broke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our house is over 50 years old, so all the screw holes are painted over and everything was so tight,

Even with taking almost off the hinges, nothing.

So, 2 screw drivers, a jimmmy, two butter knives(one got broken), and a few choice words........It is fixed after 2 hrs!!

Howerver, we lost one of the screws and now we need a new doorknob!!

Now, my darn mouse on laptop is acting up, so I will reply to all posts later tonight....

My friend FPTigger has started his own pre-trippie! Ya'll are the best around for advice and posting and entertainment and such so I thought I'd try to get ya'll to go check it out since this will be his FIRST trip to WDW this upcoming October.

I am sory for the delay.....but we had a slight emergency with our basement door...

DH goes to open it, nothing.....Checks the lock..Nothing..

The Door knob Broke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our house is over 50 years old, so all the screw holes are painted over and everything was so tight,

Even with taking almost off the hinges, nothing.

So, 2 screw drivers, a jimmmy, two butter knives(one got broken), and a few choice words........It is fixed after 2 hrs!!

Howerver, we lost one of the screws and now we need a new doorknob!!

Now, my darn mouse on laptop is acting up, so I will reply to all posts later tonight....

Poor baby!!! I hope you get a new doorknob this week, for now just keep the top slidebolt closed to keep DS from wandering down the stairs and put your finger in the door knob hole and yank!

Got you and DS each a gift or two to bring with me. Will DH sulk if he has no gift? I can pick up something little for you but it's hard to find something small for DH that is cheap just a little remembrance. It's DGS that gets the big gifts, lol.

Item #2...As you know the kids were at grandparents earlier this week....Now I must digress and tell you that Anna Banana has been begging us to fly somewhere for a couple of years now...so when I pick them up my mother pulls me aside and asks if she could send me and the girls to Orlando by plane because Airtran has specials (ends today) for that time period. So Disneydad and Drew will drive while we fly!!!!! Oh Leesee gets to fly too because she also has never flown before!!!!! :dance3: (Remember Drew got to fly to Orlando before.)

And thus ends my first ever mini-update!!!!!!!!!

it's going really well! I had to take a break for a few days because my finger was killing me from pricking it with the needle so many times but I have something to protect it now :thumbsup2 I love all these little quilting gadgets! My mom and I get together every other saturday to quilt when my DH is working. We'll be meeting up again this saturday. Do you get together & quilt with anyone? That stinks that you don't get to quilt often. My Mom has a ton of stuff that she's started and not finished. I think out of the 6 or 7 quilt tops she's got she has only actually quilted 2 :rotfl: we do a "box party" with other ladies throughout the country where you pick your pattern, then pick out your colors for the quilt, put everything in a box along with samples or the actual fabric you want used, with the pattern and a book for everyone to write something in and sign...send it to the first person, they decide what block they want to make for you, piece it together, sign your book and then pass it along to the next person. I'm doing it for the first time this upcoming year. Then we also do this thing called "mystery block exchange" where each lady picks out colors they want in their blocks and also a "background" color, no samples necessary but they are helpful. Then, we distribute the list to every lady involved, who in turns picks out one block to make for each lady (the same for each) with their colors of choice. Then we exchange the blocks @ our get together in August every year. I eneded up having to make 14 different blocks this year and they were all so pretty! I'll have to post some pictures of a few. Anyways, At the end of the year you end up with two tops for quilts!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 wow, that took a while to explain. Anyways, if you ever felt like you might want to find another group to join since the other group you were in was very cliquey you're more than welcome to join in on ours. We're small so far but I asure you, we have no cliques! :laughing:

it is fun, I always get frustrated though because it takes soooo long to finish a crosstitch and I also get frustrated when the string tangles up 'cause I'm not good at getting the knotts out :headache: :laughing: I'm enjoying it more now that I'm older and more patient. Chapter 26: A DisneyMom Update!!!!

Hey Gang...I am Absolutely worn out....so I am letting DisneyMoms Update be My update for the Night!!!!!



OK-- so I have a mini update for you guys!!!!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Item #1... My order came in from Joann.com!!!!!!!!!:wizard: My DISNEY order that is...
and I made pics!!!!!!!!!
Now if I can remember how to add them!!!!!

OK so...we have a Mickey 12x12 Scrapbook, Mickey and friends stickers, princess stickers, Tink stickers and (of course) Ariel stickers...

lunchboxes to decorate, a Mickey head swirly punch and an Ariel T-shirt complete with tiny silver hanger (that's for a scrapbook page from last year--we looked all over all of Disney World last year for an Ariel shirt for Leesee and there was not one to be found--she finally settled for an Ariel purse!)

Item #2...As you know the kids were at grandparents earlier this week....Now I must digress and tell you that Anna Banana has been begging us to fly somewhere for a couple of years now...so when I pick them up my mother pulls me aside and asks if she could send me and the girls to Orlando by plane because Airtran has specials (ends today) for that time period. So Disneydad and Drew will drive while we fly!!!!! Oh Leesee gets to fly too because she also has never flown before!!!!! :dance3: (Remember Drew got to fly to Orlando before.)

And thus ends my first ever mini-update!!!!!!!!!

Actually Disneymom I am a good MIL, lol, I get my SIL a few Christmas presents, just not as many as DGS or DD. I also send him a BD gift every year and never forget him. These trips though normally I only get DGS things on a visit but I got Sharky a little something and though uh oh, will DSIL sulk if he's the only one not getting a gift. Just an update on my mom's travel progress (Disneymommom)/....

SHe went to bed about midnight......Her DH woke her up at 4am..by turning every light on in the house and going..the sun is shining...TIme to get up..Wakey Wakey......I wonder if she enjoyed that:rotfl2:

They were on the road by 4:30am...THey have been thru 5 states as of half hour ago.

They are staying overnight at a Koa Campground in a little past Chatanooga, TN.....Drove about 630 mils....

THey have 600 more tomorrow...to get to PA....They are going to see her Mil first for a few days and then heading down to NJ to see me and my family on Friday..:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Just an update on my mom's travel progress (Disneymommom)/....

SHe went to bed about midnight......Her DH woke her up at 4am..by turning every light on in the house and going..the sun is shining...TIme to get up..Wakey Wakey......I wonder if she enjoyed that

They were on the road by 4:30am...THey have been thru 5 states as of half hour ago.

They are staying overnight at a Koa Campground in a little past Chatanooga, TN.....Drove about 630 mils....

THey have 600 more tomorrow...to get to PA....They are going to see her Mil first for a few days and then heading down to NJ to see me and my family on Friday..:cool1:

There is actually a place in Georgia where they have a pumpkin patch with a spinning demo and the last time we went the woman was actually using her dog's hair to make socks for her hubby!!!!!!!!!!!

That stinks that you don't get to quilt often. My Mom has a ton of stuff that she's started and not finished. I think out of the 6 or 7 quilt tops she's got she has only actually quilted 2 :rotfl: we do a "box party" with other ladies throughout the country where you pick your pattern, then pick out your colors for the quilt, put everything in a box along with samples or the actual fabric you want used, with the pattern and a book for everyone to write something in and sign...send it to the first person, they decide what block they want to make for you, piece it together, sign your book and then pass it along to the next person. I'm doing it for the first time this upcoming year. Then we also do this thing called "mystery block exchange" where each lady picks out colors they want in their blocks and also a "background" color, no samples necessary but they are helpful. Then, we distribute the list to every lady involved, who in turns picks out one block to make for each lady (the same for each) with their colors of choice. Then we exchange the blocks @ our get together in August every year. I eneded up having to make 14 different blocks this year and they were all so pretty! I'll have to post some pictures of a few. Anyways, At the end of the year you end up with two tops for quilts!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 wow, that took a while to explain. Anyways, if you ever felt like you might want to find another group to join since the other group you were in was very cliquey you're more than welcome to join in on ours. We're small so far but I asure you, we have no cliques!

It was a long stretch, but I'm glad we didn't drag it out--after 9 years between the first 2, we got it all over with in short order. They all could play with the same toys at the same time, etc. and they are very good at playing together! :thumbsup2

DH goes to open it, nothing.....Checks the lock..Nothing..

The Door knob Broke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our house is over 50 years old, so all the screw holes are painted over and everything was so tight,

Even with taking almost off the hinges, nothing.

So, 2 screw drivers, a jimmmy, two butter knives(one got broken), and a few choice words........It is fixed after 2 hrs!!

Howerver, we lost one of the screws and now we need a new doorknob!!
