I called DVC today to see if I could switch a reservation. We wanted to change to a 2 Bedroom as we have some family who have decided to join us this year.
Other than the disappointment that BWV (standard view was reasonable for points) was unavailable, I had no wait time at all (called around 2:00pm est), got a 2 BDR at OKW with no problem, and the website is already updated with my new reservation.
Not Bad at all! Props to Member Services and DVC!

I say props to MS since I've become a member. I haven't had a bit of trouble changing ressies or anything! Nor have I had horrible wait times on the phone!

I have been very lucky as well. I have only good MS experiences. And I know many here have not.

I don't really think we can say "many have not", since I think most of the time we all have great experiences with MS. The problem is that folks tend to report the bad experiences more than the good ones. I can honestly say in 11 years of making numerous ressies a year, we have never had any issues with MS.

You are correct. I didn't mean to appear that I have a negative view of MS. An unhappy customer will tell many more people about their negative experience. This is a good thread because it gives those of us who have had positive or primarily positive MS experiences the chance to say that.

I also had an extremely positive experience with MS, but not over the phone. We had an October 07 vacation planned, but had to cancel due to a death in our family. We cancelled the day before we were supposed to leave, which put our points in a holding account.
When I spoke to MS about the cancellation, they were very nice. A few days later, I decided to write a letter about our points to see if we could get the holding waived due to the circumstances.
I recieved a phone call the following week from DVC management, and due to the circumstances - they took our points out of holding. They did not have to do this, nor did I expect them to as I understood the booking policy. I even stated in the letter that we were extremely happy with DVC, and understood the policy, but felt it would be worth inquiring.
Needless to say we were thrilled, and can only speak about MS and DVC in the highest praise. They did a nice thing for us, that they did not have to.
