I'm currently collecting Buy & Fly points (with the Tesco clubcard) and I'm hoping to have enough points to qualify for one, maybe even two, 5-day WDW premium tickets for our 2010 (sooo far away :sad2: ) trip. My question is will Disney allow me to upgrade those premium tickets to Annual Passes? I would do that before even using them. I know they allow you to upgrade magic your way tickets but I'm not sure about the premium UK tickets?
A related question - if I were to get one of those premium passes in, for example, May 2009 would I still be able to use it (and upgrade it) in June 2010? Anyone know how long those tickets stay valid when they're not used yet?
Thanks a million,
Deb

if the same ticket is sold in the usa by disney then yes you can.
If there uk only tickets ie flex type then no
Sounds like you will be able to as its a 5 day ticket:thumbsup2
Would check a site like www.mapleleaftickets.com for a comparable usa ticket

A tip I read on the USA board recently said if you are upgrading always use your pass first & then go to guest services. They said that way you get the value of the ticket at that time - if you do not use then you get the value of the ticket when you bought it :)
Never done this - but worth trying as you can upgrade at any stage.

Thanks Paul and Samantha. Paul, I think they might be UK-only tickets because it's only on the Disney UK site (and UK ticket sites) that they're called 'premium' tickets - on the U.S. sites they're just MYW 5 day tickets. So I'm not really sure.

Hi aaronandterri,
If you become a Buy and Fly member, there are a number of ways you can earn points. Regarding Tesco, instead of just getting the tesco club points in vouchers, you can sign up to have all your tesco points converted into Buy and Fly points. You still use your Tesco clubcard at the checkout and instead of vouchers in the post then they will send you a Buy and Fly statement. 50 clubcard points = 10 buy and fly points so 5 clubcard points = 1 b&f point.
It takes a while to build up the points but Tesco is only one of the ways. You can use your buy and fly card for other places too - it's different in the UK - in fact you have even more choice there - M&S online and iTunes etc. We don't have those options here.
Go to www.buyandfly.com/uk/ - you'll get 100 points just for signing up. They also occasionally have surveys which you can fill in to get 50 extra points etc.
Good luck!!
Oh, when you go to the site, you'll see options down the left side. Click on 'theme parks' and the required points for the Disney ticket (and other theme parks) will be listed.
EDITED: SEE MY OTHER POST TWO POSTS DOWN!

2010 will soon be here Deb :yay: I'm sure you'll spend enough in Tesco's feeding your 3 kids to get a pass each :rotfl2:

Oh no! I took a closer look at the UK Buy and Fly site there and there's no mention of Tesco :confused3 So sorry aaronandterri, I just assumed Tesco would be involved in the UK one too but it seems not, judging from the quick look I had there. Sorry.

Indeed! Even though we're all vegetarian. :headache: Hmmm, how to get around *that* loophole!! :lmao: Seriously though, DH pointed out earlier (and I agree) that Tesco can be so expensive these days (well, they are here anyway) that I shouldn't go overboard spending there. We do a lot of our grocery shopping in Aldi - love their fruit, veg and bakery so I'm gonna keep doing that and just hope to use Tesco enough to build up points. :thumbsup2
Signed up too

Are you close enough to a Tesco to get your shopping delivered? I find when I shop online there I see many more bargains than in the store itself and they'll still give you your points online. Good luck building them up - log on regularly and they'll have you do surveys etc. to help you accumulate more points. :thumbsup2
