How long of a drive would it be from Pop Century to Universal? We're renting a car for the first time this fall to -- gasp -- leave Disney property. :)

I would say depending on traffic and times no more then 15 -20 min. WE did it twice and now we just split the trip . :cool1: .

Get on I-4 at exit 67,get off at I-4 at exit 75,so 8 miles of highway driving. No traffic, you get there in 10 minutes!!!

I-4 gets busy seven days a week especially in the afternoon and early evening in both directions. And if there's an accident...forget it...you'll be there all day.

I would say 15 minutes but be aware sometimes traffic is a nightmare we have been on that part of 4 for 45 minutes at certain days and times

You're so right about I-4.
Last night after the TNA Wrestling show we were driving back home on I-4. What should have been about a 10-15 minute drive took OVER AN HOUR because of construction near John Young Parkway at about midnight.

It is easy to avoid I-4. From Pop Century drive past Downtown Disney this will road ends at Goodings (Route 535 I believe). Turn left. At the next light turn right (Palm Parkway) this will eventually become Turkey Lake Road.(It runs parrellel to I-4). You will pass through Sand Lake Road. At he next intersection, Hollywood Drive, turn right and this will take you directly into the Universal parking lot. As you are coming up to Hollywood Dr. you will see the IOA so you can't miss the road. Hope this helps

Go along with the directions minniemusician gave.
We always use this route for travelling down towards Disney or Seaworld from Universal, thus avoiding I4, just before we came home there was an accident ont the I4 and you could see it from Turkey Lake Rd. and the traffic was all stopped ,don`t know how long they where there for must have been hours.
