I have a few pics from our wedding/honeymoon in December. We were in the dormer room on the top floor. While the room was nice because of the vaulted ceilings, we really noticed the lack of space this room has compared to the other rooms at the GF have. We didn't have a couch, but a chair at the end of the room. Sorry for the pics with our stuff strewn all over it. I always get too excited when I get in the room to take pics!!:lmao:

We had a dormer room last November. I saw the pictures on the previous page and ours was set up differently. :confused3 I don't know if they're different sizes, but ours still had the day bed and the chair/ottoman was between one of the beds and the balcony.

Sorry for the grainy pictures. I didn't have all of my camera gear when we first got to our room (and it was late).

I stayed at the Grand Floridian in January 2007, my wife and i saved up for about 5 years to afford the trip of a lifetime from the uk. Amazing hotel, amazing holiday. Was very strange sunbathing in the first week of January!

Oh I tried to stay somewhere else, but alas we can't stand not staying at GF so we are putting off our trip until 10/10 and I'm taking on a part babysitting job so that we can get to GF next year. My kids don't even mind waiting as long as we stay there, smart kids huh?!?

Those goodies look like the ones from the Gardenview Tea... they may have them in club level...don't know.. haven't been lucky enough to stay there...

I'm sorry I did not say what the pictures are of. The tray of goodies is from afternoon tea at the GF. It was my first time having tea and it was so good.

Here are a few more pictures. Sorry that some are on a funny angle. I was in a wheelchair. I tore my Achilles tendon after only being on property for 45 min. I love the Grand Floridian.:love: I have to figure a way to stay there on every trip now. This was my second time staying there. I only had one night there and getting hurt made it sad for me.:sad1: I could not enjoy it because that night I was in a lot of pain. I must have a do over stay next December.:goodvibes

i was in bed but i couldn't sleep, so i had to come and have a snoop around the dis. earlier today i booked my honeymoon for this april 18-24 at none other than the grand floridian - a dream of mine since i was a little girl. i'm so excited i just couldn't sleep at all. all of these pictures are so beautiful that now i'm sitting here crying because i never would have expected that i would actually be going to GF - i'm such a sap! i cannot wait to finally get to stay at this amazing resort!!!

Ever since I saw the Full House episode at Disney World, I've wanted to stay at the Grand Floridian. Until I started doing research, I thought that it was the ONLY Disney hotel! :lmao: I was really excited when I had the chance last year to go see it. We perused the shops, wandered the grounds for a few minutes and ate at Gasparilla's. We thought it was really, incredibly beautiful.

Finally, after how many years of dreaming about it (?), I'm booked at the GF. We're checking in on Aug 2. My sister, a friend and I. I can't wait to post more pictures when we come back, but for now, here are a few that we took from last summer.

I've always wondered what Disney was trying to say with that rock formation at the Grand Floridian pool. There's not a rock formation like that anywhere in Florida, I guarantee.

There are waterfalls and rock formations in the panhandle, in and around Torreya State Park. Maybe that's what Disney had in mind.

I've only been to Disney once, and we stayed off site. This year we're staying at the GF thanks to an award my husband won at work! I can't wait! Of course as long as I'm at Disney, I don't care where I'll be staying (within limits, of course!)

Yes - there was a fire pit on the beach between the GF and the wedding pavilion.

We miss Newport and DL too!

And we just LOVE it at BC, but I don't think I'm supposed to post about that on the GF photo thread! So I'll try to be brief - location is perfect for us - it's almost like the proximity of GCH to DCA. We have most dinner ADRs in Epcot, so we spend the day at DHS, MK or AK, stop at BC for a break and go to Epcot in the evening, and then stroll right out the International Gateway to our room at BC! Since we're walkers (in Newport we walk from peninsula to Balboa Island every morning and back!) we prefer to walk to parks than use any other mode of transportation (even monorail!) At BC, we can walk to TWO parks (Epcot and DHS) so that's a huge benefit for us. The pool is amazing - like a mini water park. We also love the BC theme and the room decor. We enjoy the Crescent Lake area - we can walk over to Boardwalk for shopping/dining too. Lots of info on our BC/YC thread, if you're interested for future trips - just follow the link in my signature!

OK - sorry GF fans - the photos are really beautiful!
