We have 4 TS meals planned above DDP. We will pay OOP for those. But we don't want them to be necessarily the last meals. We are doing 4 Buffet Breakfasts and they are definately the cheapest meals, so I figured we would pay OOP for those. Makes sense right?
So when I hand the waiter my Room card and specifically tell him/her... please do not charge this to DDP and take my credits... please just charge this, along with your tip to my room account.... Is this going to be an issue? Am I really going to have to be on top of that? Would it be easier just to pay Cash or Credit for these meals so that they don't mess up my credits?

I would to be absolutely sure it's charged that way. Can you imagine the headache otherwise trying to recoup those credits???? Others who have had more experience might have more to offer, but I'm guessing it would be MUCH easier just to bring along a credit card for those 4 meals.

We did this in December. It was never a problem. We paid OOP for O'hana, Princess breakfast, and LTT which were spaced through out our week long trip. And actually the hostess will ask you at check-in if you are using the DDP then they mark your ticket to your waiter/eress knows.

It is absolutely no problem to do this. We've done it at several restaurants every time we've used the DDP (or on our last trip, the deluxe). We just tell the server we're not using DDP. And your receipt will make it clear that it's been charged rather than showing the zero bill and credits left that a DDP receipt shows.

Can you set a limit to how much your account is allowed to be charged per day??
