Hi everyone, I haven't been to this board in a while. I was wondering what the status is now of PO? Is FQ still closed? How about the mansions at Riverside, are they open? Sorry, I'm sure this info is on here somewhere, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks!!:)

I'm wondering the same thing about Magnolia Bend. We stay at PO-R in June and we want to stay there.

At least some of the mansions are open, and the rest will be opening soon.

I asked CRO about FQ a few weeks ago, and was told that they were hoping to reopen it in September.

What are the "mansions" at PORS? I never heard of those before

POR has 2 different sections, with different styles of buildings, Mansions and "Alligator Bayou".

The mansions are 3-story buildings, decorated like southern plantation mansions, and landscaped with large lawns and formal gardens.

The AB buildings are themed more like bayou homes, set in a more densely landscaped area, with winding paths, trees, ponds, and a more rustic feel. They are smaller two story buildings, and also feature a trundle bed so they can sleep 5 people instead of only 4.

Both types of buildings are situated along the "Sassagoula River".

Hello - I was just at PO-Riverside and stayed in Magnola Terrace - I noticed that cars were parked at all Magnola Bend (mansion) buildings. It looks like it's all open again.

As for POFQ - I talked with a boat driver from OKW (who normally does the PO-DD route, and is looking forward to going back March 24th) and he says they hope to have POFQ open for summer, but no date has been set. I've seen people on the boards mention that they have reservations for POFQ for fall.

Are the Mansions any different inside..or just look different from the outside?

They're all pretty much the same inside - the big differences are on the outside. The room decor is different from the Alligator Bayou rooms - they're a little more rustic looking.
