Long awaited, those phone lines will be busy. Good Luck to everyone.
Code is CMB
I sure hope availability is better for April than it was for AP holders and FL residents. April was pretty much filled.

does anyone know what the room only code is? the only codes listed are for packages. I just tried calling to see if it could be applied to my reservation, but I was told it couldn't be looked up without a code

me, too. I couldn't get room only. If anyone's interested, here's what I did get quoted this morning: 8 nights AKL standard with 2 adult 1 day base tickets $1800. 8 nights Yacht Club water view, 2 adult 1 day base tickets - $3384. I was hoping for poly GV. I'll try again. For now I'm sticking with my AP rate reservation.

Just checked, and at the bottom of the paid there's a link for this new offer. Be careful trying to turn this into a package though, because after selecting a room I went to add tickets and they're more expensive ($912 on the site for tickets only vs $970ish if added to this package).

No, only one (1) discount can be applied.
You will need to figure out which discount is a better value for your family.
*Don't cancel any existing reservations/codes/discounts until you know for certain the new discount will be available for your dates and resort choice.*

Just got off with CRO. They only had CBR for my dates and April 30-11th for mods at 139for wkdays and 149 wkends plus tax. Didn't ask about deluxe. For value they had all star sports. We didn't end up changing our package from the tix upgrade because we leave in 30 days and it would have been 100$ to change. When she priced out our package with the new code CMB and just park hopper tix it was only around a 100$ difference.
The good news is that discounts came out which means that they are not completly booked up like alot of us have thought. I did think that it was late in the game to just release a code for people who are traveling at the end of April.

YES, but you better call right away as the availability is limited and dropping fast as the word is spreading.
I have called several times this morning thinking that the availability would increase but, instead, it appears to be decreasing (at least for my dates).
Just call - what do you have to lose?
The link is available now on the disneyworld website. I checked for a friend who can't get an AP discount on POR/king room, and it appears the GP discount has the exact same availability as the AP website (of course, the AP prices are cheaper). So no King room at POR for early May still. CBR has a ton of availability in all categories, but probably because their main pool is closed and folks are avoiding the resort for that reason.

Polyherewecome- Glad you were able to get room only discount. My day there is excluded from all the codes, but happy for you.
FYI- the CM I spoke to didn't know there was a code, when I told him he looked it up and found it, says he's sure it was not on his alert this morning, so thanks to the DIS for having it up last night. I will edit original post with CMB code-thanks to Jerseygal for posting it.

The CM I just spoke with had not heard of the code either and couldn't find it for a while. She was particularly knowledgeable and didn't know how what the tax rate was for my reservation because the computer calculates it automatically. After searching for a while, she told me the tax rate is 14%, but I knew that wasn't right. So I called back and another CM confirmed that it is 12.5%.
Anyway, the bottom line is that the code offers the same discount I already have with AAA, so I left my reservation as is. By the way, my reservation is at CSR, and the CM acted as though the code was available for my reservation.

Got an update. Called earlier this morning cm said not available for GV Poly May 19-23. Called back later this afternoon with the CMB from this board not the CMD from the Disney website & yippie got to use the code for the Poly. We had AAA & it went from $359 weekday to $308! My CM was the greatest. She was really excited for me & was like wow this saves you another $50 a night more than AAA. We are doing a split with POR & I just called again to use the code & was told not available. Can always try again. Good luck to all those out there. We have been waiting for something good for a while. This helps!!!

I'm also worried that its going to be busy that wk.:scared1:
Although we went over labor day last yr and we were one of the lucky families that got the free upgrade from the all stars to a 1 bdroom at OKW. I was worried beyond belief that the park/resort was going to be packed since we got an expensive upgrade but the crowd levels were light and the parks weren't as busy as I had thought.

The other reasoning could be the AXQ gave me such a big discount, $500.00 , that paying for park hopper and water was still the $500 less. I asked at the end, do we still have the free park hopper option, and she said yes, maybe she meant you still have the park hoppers and water. Could have been a small misunderstanding. All I know is we went from complete rack rate of $6460 - then applied the free park hopper code - $6268 - now applied the package code - $5957. We owe $5757 (minus our original $200 deposit) O.K., lol, hope that helps someone.

OK, so I am playing around with the various resorts to try to get DH to agree to a quickie trip.
This seems to be the breakdown
Values- $15 off per night (Sun-Thurs)
Moderates- $26 off per night (Sun- Thursday)
Deluxes- $91 off per night (has held true for AKL standard, Poly theme park view, GF garden view, YC/BC/BWI standard)
I didn't look at the villas...

It's so funny how CMs say so many different things. I had a room at the Poly on hold for May. When this code came out I called. She had me on the phone forever trying to apply my code to the Poly reservation. When she talked to her superviser about applying my code, she said that none of the monorail resorts are available for this code. Then we tried the room only code. She said the exact same thing. It was my impression that her superviser told her that after the codes would not go through. Now we are at the WL courtyard for 4 nights with dining for about $1840. It is $600. cheaper than our Poly reservation. I still would rather be at Poly. Don't mean to sound ungrateful because I am happy to have a discount. Has anyone recieved a a discounted room on the monorail loop?

One more question, I just talked to a CM and Poly theme park view is available for my dates just not garden view. This is using the "room only" code. She told me that I could not add the dining plan to a room only code discount. Is this true? She said if I wanted to add the dining plan, my code would change to a package code. She said there is nothing available at the poly under the package code for my dates.

I think you are right about the dining thing. When I called about adding the code to my poly stay nothing was available. If I wanted to get a room only code, we could of stayed in a theme park view but could not add dining because that required a different code. She said dining is included on a package. She told me you could not add dining to a room only discount code. I hope she is right because we switched to the WL. My heart was set on the Poly. I have been on my computer every morning at 7 am for the past three weeks waiting on a discount. Guess what? Yesterday, the day the code was released, our internet service in my neighborhood was out. We did not get service until around 2 in the afternoon. I was so upset. Anyway, we are happy to have a discount. I guess Poly was not meant to be.

I'm not sure how hotel/disney bookings work but I know that disney only releases discounts for a certain numbers of rooms. So it doesn't mean that the hotel is full its just means theres no room left for that particular code. I would also keep calling back or checking on line. You never know when a room will open up.

No luck here either. Trying to help my cousin plan her May trip. With new code, she would have saved $124 (Pop Century) - but would lose the free park hopper/waterpark upgrade. She doesn't really care about the hopper option, but they are planning 1 day at one of the water parks - single day tickets are around $41 each (need 3), so they are really just breaking even (and losing the hopper upgrade). She tried to get both codes applied, but CM said this was NOT possible. Hope others have better luck!

Yes you should be able to use whichever code you choose as long as there are rooms available for the discount. BUT your TA owns your resevation so they will have to change the discount for you. Disney will not be able to change it for you. Good luck.

My TA called and they said there are no rooms available at my resort for that code. But my thing is I got a FL resident discount initially and now that same discount has been expanded and it should apply to my existing reservation regardless if there is a room available or not. Who cares if it is a different code? It is the same discount. I already have the room. It is just like if a cruise ship lowers the fare for a particular category - if you already have that category booked, you receive the lower price. I told my TA to keep calling back. But if this is the case and this is how Disney works - that is terrible customer service.

Booked 2 nights at AKL.... so now instead of staying in our timeshare all week, we will spend 5 nights there and 2 at AKL- works out great, as we decided to do the Pirate and Princess Party, and really wanted to be onsite for that!

Just booked Pop for 6 nights with dining and PH for 2 adults and 1 child for May 14-20 for $1915- probably not as great as the previous PH/water park upgrade, but I'll take it!!!

Its the same with airlines and hotels in general. They are selling rooms off cheap to to hit a target, they have limited rooms at this price because of this. They didn't lower an entire category of rooms prices. Any time you check into a hotel room there are probably 100 other rooms just like it and they don't charge every person the same price, exactly the same with seats on a plane, and Disney. It's actually true with cruises too.
If they sold out all of the resort/room you want though, you can keep trying back, they may have an opening if someone cancels.

I am SOOOOO thrilled! Was able to use the public room-only code CMB just now on our existing AP reservation. AND IT IS THE EXACT SAME RATE, SO NO NEED TO BUY THE AP (I can now buy my ticket from undercover, and everyone else already has tixs)
This is for the Poly gardenview for May 11-17th.:wizard:
I went from "room only" using AAA to AP to GP (CMB code). Each move saved us money. The CMB code rate at the WL is higher than the AP rate. But, it still made sense to use the GP rate because I won't need to buy the AP.
The only catch is that I won't be able to buy the DDE card with the GP rate because I won't be buying the AP. I'm only saving about $60 net going from AP to GP for a week-long stay. The DDE card costs $65 for AP holders and gets you 20% off dining. But, I think I'm still better off using the GP rate and saving the $60.
Any way you cut it, I'm saving hundreds of dollars by doing room only and buying the Park Hoppers through Undercover Tourists as compared to any of the Disney packages with any of the available package codes.

I just called and used the CMD room only code, and got two nights (5/6 and 5/7) at AKL, standard view, for $414 including tax. Normally it's over $600!!!! Thanks OP!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

I just called and requested the AXR package discount. I asked the CM if we were eligible for the code. She put me on hold and told me I just saved over $200! We're staying at the YC May 7-14. In addition, I called last week and asked about the park hopper/water park discount. That discount saved us over $200 again. Nothing was mentioned about losing the park hopper/water park discount. She just said I had saved the money. She wouldn't take away the park hopper discount without saying anything, would she? :confused3

I know they wouldnt let me stack them. I hear others saying like you, they are saving money with this code and keeping the park hopper-water. I am not clear for sure, but it sounds like this is being acheived by giving you the room discount and adding the park option at reg price... meaning the room discount is giving you more of a savings. I think when they say yes you have the park/water option, I think they mean yes they added it on still, but not at the discount because the room discount is higher.
Not sure though if some are allowing stacking??? I tried 2 times and no deal.
Can you check you ressie online at WDW site and see what that says? :confused3

The pp who said they got both previously listed their savings and it was so minimal that it is definately the room discount applied and then they save more money than the ticket promo.
I just booked AKL myself, was in PoFQ for 8 nights, now AKL and it only cost 280 more!!! Also, the pofq was an AAA rate, so it was already a discounted room. So happy, AKL looks so amazing.

I was finally able to use CMB on pop for april 23-25th. The still only had preferred but I saved $30 off my ressies.
FYI.. you can also check on expedia and travelocity.. they have the current discount if available. I was checking every few hours and finally pop cam up as available. So I called in and had it applied to my reservation.

I've called twice to get the discount for POFQ, but no luck. The CM was very nice and told me to keep trying that sometimes things open up. I could switch to CBR with the code, but I really want to stay at POFQ.

I waited and kept trying to get a code for POFQ and could not even get the CAA discount there either. I made the switch to AKL today for only $106 more than POFQ.

We, too, went from AAA to AP to CMB code, and I completely agree with everything you wrote. We weren't going to get the DDE as we do mostly counters, so no loss there. I'm the only one that needs a ticket, as I'd used an AP in the past when everything else got tickets from undercover (and they still have days left), so now I will go back to undercover and get my ticket. Was surprised that the GP rate was as good as the AP rate for the Poly, because last time we'd used it, the AP rate was a little more favorable. Of course, the AP rate was kinda' poor this time around for the Poly. gardenview (like 22% off) especially when I'd read folks writing that they were thrilled that the AP rate was like 40% off. I'm so happy with CMB!:wizard:

Alright!! When I booked AKL, WL was over $100 more total, so I stuck with AKL. I had never stayed at WL (had at AKL), but was trying to save money. Well, today WL was the same price that I paid for AKL so I changed my ressie!!! :cool1:  One more that I will have tried!! :woohoo:

I am a new AP and was wondering if AP rates come out for my date and resort will they apply it without me calling or do I have to call in.
I booked one night at CSR for June 8 with dinning ($352 for four adults.) They said it becomes a "package" so I put $200 as the deposit and the rest due 45 days out (April 24) I could have waited to book this but the CM said it really did not matter because if AP rates come out and they are available for my resort that I could have it applied to my reservation without a problem ...
What worries me is that at the very end of the conversation after I gave my payment information he said that if I changed the reservation after the 45 day mark and the cost went down I would be charged a fee. I guess what he is saying is that if ap rates do come out that I would not be "changing" my reservation I would just "apply" the new discount to an existing reservation ... correct ????
Thanks for any help ...
