Ya know, that's one of my major questions! They are always talking about obesity in America....make liposuction affordable and we wouldn't have this problem!!
Ok...yes, I'm joking....mostly! (Just so ya know, if it was covered, I'd be under the knife!!)

Alright....some of you already know me. I'm Marie. I'm 39, married, 2 kids, 1 dog and 2 fish. I started on this adventure on the WISH a while ago...did pretty good for a while...then, like everyone else....life got in the way.
I did Jenny Craig from Jan 07 til May 07 and lost something like 28 lbs. Kept it off until....oh....October, then it started creeping back on. (When I started JC, I was 170 lbs.. In May I was 142lbs.) I weighed myself this morning (twice) and I'm at 158.4. My goal is to get back to 140(ish). DH and I usually try to walk 2 miles 4 times a week.

So...here we go again....the good, the bad....and everything in between.

Thanks for hangin' with me!
Marie
(or as kim calls me re-re)

eta-ok...this was previously "Why can't lipsuction be covered by insurance?" Which I still believe should be, but now i'm trying to be realistic and actually stay on track.
Help me out guys!

Ok....so Friday the girls in the office decide that we all need to get healthy. (DUH!!) Someone brings up the St. Joseph Medical Center Diet. (lose 10 lbs in 3 days)
So, to make a long story short....we started today.

B-1/2 grapefruit (I normally don't like grapefruit...it was actually good...might make this a habit) 1 slice toast (whole wheat of course) 2 tsp peanut butter.
L-1/2 cup tuna (dry, no mayo, no pickle relish, nothing)1 slice bread (whole wheat) 1/2 banana
D-3 oz of grilled chicken, 1 cup green beans, 1 cup beets, 1 small apple and later tonight, 1 cup vanilla icecream.
Water-80 oz so far
Exercise-2 mile walk w/ DH - 33 minutes

I realize that this diet isn't the right way to go, but I am learning portion control. Do you realize how much 1 cup of green beans really is??!! Especially when you don't care for them that much??!! Holy cow! :scared1:
(yes, i weighed my chicken before cooking, and only seasoned it with pepper.) The funny thing....this is actually a really good meal!

Tomorrow is gonna suck...I know it already. I'm psyching myself up for it....if I can get through lunch, I can get through anything!!!

See ya'll tomorrow!

thanks TSD! I was in a saracastic mood.....odd for me I know!!

Food yesterday:
B-1 egg (scrambled in the microwave), 1 piece of toast, 1/2 banana
L-1 cup cottage cheese(omg that stuff is nasty!!I ate about 1/2) 5 saltine crackers
D-2 hotdogs(no bun), 1 cup steamed broccoli,, 1/2 cup carrots 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream.
Water-approx 60 oz
Exercise-none to speak of.

My computer monitor wouldn't work last night....or this morning! I hope I don't need to buy a new one! DH thinks the thingy inside the computer that works the monitor went bad.....:confused3. Either way, it'll have to get fixed.

Oh....I'm selling my camera! It's time to upgrade! I'll let you know how all that goes later.....I have to get ready for work now. yay.

Have a good day ya'll!

Ok...today was rough....i mean ROUGH on the food front! (spoiler ahead)

I caved! I couldn't do it anymore!
B-5 saltines, 1 slice cheddar cheese
L-1 hard boiled egg, 1 slice bread (I put mustard on the bread, sliced the egg and at it as a sandwich.)
D-(was supposed to be 1 cup tuna, 1/2 cantelope, 1/2 cup beets, 1 cup cauliflower and 1/2 cup ice cream)I had 1 cheeseburger, 1 cup fries, med chocolate milkshake. (the kids were begging to go for dinner, how can I say no?
Water - 60 oz
Exercise-1 mile walk at lunch w/ co-workers. (they say this will become daily for us...we'll see.)
I did weigh this morning....156 even. Not bad. 2 days of basically no eating and I lost 2.5 lbs. The bad thing about this diet is, oh, besides not really eating, is that you get so drained! Today I could hardly keep my head up, got really dizzy and then I got a really bad headache....REALLY BAD. 3 ibuprofin later and i was better, but the dizzies didn't stop til after I actually ate.
I think I'll go back to my original plan....portion control, healthier choices and WATER!!

I think I also may change my title.....140 by 40. (that's my goal....to get to 140, and stay there til I turn 40...less than a year away!!!:sad1: :sad2:

ok....catch ya later!

No exercise today....but eating wasn't too bad.

B-1/2 grapefruit, 1 piece toast w/ peanut butter
L-bacon & tomato sandwich on wheat, carrots w/ lt ranch
D-1/2 sloppy joe sandwich....yuck.
Water-60 oz...maybe a little less.
Exercise-housework....lots of it!

Sold my camera. The girl came and got it today and paid me for it. Hopefully I'll be able to order my new one within the next week or so. Give me time to get used to it before the May wedding I'm shooting. Anyway, other than that, nothing to exciting going on around here.

talk to ya soon!

Hey, Marie! Glad to have you back!

Way to go logging your food everyday. I just can't seem to get back in that habit. It helps me so much when I actually do it.

Your diet sounded interesting, but would not have worked for me for very long either. I think portion control is a better long term option anyway.

Take care! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Needless to say, I budgeted and saved for the Camera....not for the monitor. Oh well....it's ok....I have alot of shoots lined up for April, plus I'm having a garage sale next weekend so I should recoup my expense. Water-60 oz
Exercise-none....my head is killing me tonight!

Had a dr. appt today for my hearing. He says the surgery from 2006 seems to have handled the right ear, but now the left ear is at 40% loss. I told him I couldn't tell a difference in either ear because the ringing is still constant, and it still sounds like people mumble all the time. Anyway, He wants to do surgery within the next year...I told him we'd see what happens. Not in any rush...sometimes not hearing is a good thing...trust me!!

Marie, I worry that you are not eating enough! I think that might be contributing to your headache. Slimfast says two shakes and a sensible dinner... I'm not sure that Cheerios qualifies :hippie: I don't want you to starve yourself and then give up.

Your water intake is improving :cheer2: Keep it up!

Take care of yourself! Good luck on the garage sale!! :wizard:

Gotta go put DD in the shower....then make G-sale signs. Catch ya'll later!

Ok...sorry I haven't checked in....oops..my bad!
Food over the weekend pretty much sucked.
No nice way to put it.
I woke up Friday and couldn't move my head/neck to the left. It hurt so bad I was almost in tears! I didn't lift anything at all...nothing heavy....actually, nothing. Anyway, DH really had to help me on Saturday w/ the garage sale....didn't make alot of money, but I could hardly move, so he had to be out there. Thank goodness that's over! Saturday night we went to the boss's house to watch the FINAL FOUR NCAA MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME....GO MEMPHIS GO!!! Yeah....we beat UCLA!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Anyway, had steak, potatos, salad, brownies and 3 jumbo rum & cokes!! Had fun too!! Came home w/ blue hair!! Don't ask!
Anyway, Sunday had a little photo shoot, neck still hurting, took 3 ibuprofin...helped a little...came home, slept for 1 hr.....felt a little better. Don't remember the food for the rest of the weekend...go figure.
Today:
B-poptart
L-taco bell-2 taco supremes, lg sweet tea
D-don't know yet, but I'm sure it won't be healthy! I'm craving chinese food....

Ok...so Memphis plays Kansas tonight at 8:30ish pm...root them on guys!!! We need this!!!

GO TIGERS GO!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I'll be back on my diet tomorrow. Gonna get the slimfast and salads going...I actually liked that.

OK, so when were you gonna tell me the party moved?? :confused3 Geez, nice way to ditch me, but quote me in your first post. :sad1:

Nah, I'm just kidding. I get in the habit of just hitting User CP right away and not seeing what's new. My bad. But I'm here now!!!

So, have you started back on the slimfast? :confused3 Don't get sidetracked - you can do it!! :cheer2: Make sure to get those romantical walks with your yummy DH. And plan ahead! That's the key. Buy your lettuce and cut it all up and have it ready to go. Grill up some chicken or whatever and just grab some of that when you're hungry or looking for something for dinner.

That lose 10 in 3 days thing was NUTS!! It's no wonder you were dizzy, drained and had a headache! :headache:

HI KIMMY!!!!
Sorry I didn't tell ya where I was...heck, these past few days (weeks) I'm not even sure where I am!!
I am going to change the name of this journal....it's gonna be "140 BY 40"
My goal is to get BACK down to 140 and maintain it for my 40th birthday. That is totally doable as I won't be 40 until March 8th of 2009...or 2010...we'll see how I'm feeling...I just might want to stay 39 for a few more years.

The diet has sucked, and the exercise has been even worse. Yummy (?):lmao: DH has, and will be working nights through the summer, which sucks, so DS and I will be doing the power walks. He doesn't keep the pace as well, but he'll get there. I might even have him start running...we'll see. (If my dd doesn't stop singing Best of Both Worlds right now, I'm probably going to explode!!!:headache: ) Anyway, sorry about the sidetrack...it's a little nervewracking!!

Ok...so like I said 140 BY 40. WISH me luck! I'll post my food and exercise on here and ya'll can help me make the right choices. EASY & QUICK receipes are welcome as well!

ok...gotta go!

Hi Linda!! Good seeing ya again....I'll check out the new "threads" in a little bit.

I forgot to tell ya'll.....last year(ish) Kim's daughter donated her hair to locks of love. I told my DD about it and she never forgot. She's been growing it out ever since and every few months or so we measure it. Well last week she decided it was time. I was more nervous than she was!!
Here are some pics....I'm SO proud of her!!!

Hey Marie,

First I have to say, Your daughter is absolutely darling with the new haircut. She is a very special girl to donate her hair. My cousin had leukemia when she was a child, and getting her wig made a huge difference. Her attitude improved, and she started to get better after that. Now she is a mom. Give your DD a hug for me.

You can aabsolutely reach your goal. I have found having a specific goal helps to keep e focused. I will send you some links to recipes soon.

Take care,

Tomorrow DH and I have to go back to the tax man to get the Alabama taxes straightened out...(long story), Saturday I have a photo shoot and plan on doing yard work, and Sunday I'm doing yard work and house work.

Like - I made her want to do that? Very cool! And I LOVE your DD's haircut. It does make her look older, but very, very flattering and cute. :thumbsup2

Hey, Marie! I'm just now getting caught up on your journal. Sounds like you are doing good at staying on track even though you have been really busy. Keep up the good work :cool1: I agree w/ Kim, though, make sure you're eating enough. It would be sad to not lose weight because you didn't eat enough :upsidedow not sure that I'll EVER have that problem :rotfl:

I love your daughters haircut! I think the locks of love thing is great! I tried to donate mine a few years ago and I had a LOT cut off, but I was told that they won't take hair that has been dyed :confused3 guess I won't ever be able to donate mine then, cause it's been every shade but natural ;)

I have to say that you AMAZE me w/ your yard work skills :worship: :worship: I just look at my Totally unkempt mess of a yard and it makes me tired :sad2: I have no idea how we'll ever get it tackled! And here you are planting a whole front yard's worth of shrubbery in one day :worship:

Get your minds out of the gutter!!

The concert was AMAZING!!! Daughtry was great to say the least! Tight jeans, bald head, great voice....what more could a woman ask for?? But then came Bon Jovi!!! OMG, I swear.....20 years later and that man can still rock the crowd!! It was a sold out show...of course....and if you weren't standing the entire 2 1/2+ hours, then you didn't need to be there!! It was incredible!! Big & Rich came on and sang GOT IT GOING ON with them, and a little bit later LeAnn Rhimes did the TIL WE'RE NOT STRANGERS ANYMORE duet....fricking awsome!!! I had no voice until about noon yesterday and then it was touch and go.
Bad news though.....I didn't bring the camera. We were 8 rows off the floor and I didn't figure they'd come out anyway, so I went and etched it into my memory.....and of course bought a t-shirt to seal it in.
The really cool thing.....I wasn't the oldest person in the crowd!!! There were grandparents there!!! And they were lovin' it too!!! I talked to one girl who was 18 and she said her dad wanted the tickets as much as she did!!! I thought that was pretty cool!

Ok....I have to head out....first of 3 photo shoots starts in an hour....I'll get done today around midnight and be back at it at 11 tomorrow morning! Have a great weekend ya'll!!!

Wow. Sounds like an awesome concert!! I've never been a huge Bon Jovi fan, but I'm sure in concert they are great. I'm with ya on the Doughtry thing. yummy yummy.

Nice weigh in today, girl! Are you weighing in once a week? I like the ticker idea. Accountability is a dangerous thing. ;) I should get one of those going after my trip next week. In fact, I think I will. :thumbsup2

Good luck with all of the photo shoots this weekend. Are you doing these on your own now and not through that other business? :confused3

No....these were all through the boss man. That's ok though...still a money making weekend for sure!
I'm home now and my legs and feet are killing me!! I'm not gonna try to remember what all my food was for the weekend, but I don't think I did too bad.
Not really alot of time to eat on these kinds of weekends....but I did get in PLENTY of water! Trust me! :thumbsup2

Ok...I'm gonna go put away some laundry, get the kids fed and bathed, then I'm calling it a night. Not nearly enough sleep this weekend....that's for sure!!

Talk to ya'll soon!
I'll start back logging food and exercise tomorrow.

Hi guys!
TSD-the concert was better than I imagined it would be!!
Amber~Big & Rich & LeeAnn Rhimes only played one song each with the group. :sad2: But one each is better than none!!
Oh, and the day job....:lmao: that's another story!! DBoss isn't talking to me, and I think it's hilarious! I'm not going into details, but she kinda screwed me while I was out of town, and I'm not letting on to how ticked I really am....and it's driving her nuts!! She wants me to confront her, and I won't....simply because she is always right....regardless of the approval I got FROM HER before I left. Anyway, I'm not playing into her game and she hates it! She wouldn't even look at me today....and I sit right outside her office!!! :rolleyes1 Actually, I like it this way....I'm getting a BUNCH of work done!!! :thumbsup2 (at least she can't gripe at me about that!! :teeth: )

Ok....so food today.....:sad2:
b-1 brown sugar pop tart (i was running late)
l- 1 taco, some mexican rice & beans and 3 bites of a burito (DH took me to lunch today. )
d-breakfast burritos (eggs, hashbrowns, soft taco shells, hot sauce) (I did't have anything thawed out and it was almost 8pm   )
Exercise - none. see the pattern here? Not gonna lose 15 pounds this way!

DH asked me why I wasn't taking DS walking in the evenings....well....lets see.....
I get home from work at 5:30-6ish. DS and DD haven't even STARTED homework yet. By the time they get started....then fart around for 30-45 minutes....it's usually 7:30 by the time the homework battle ends....usually with someone crying. (it's not that they don't know how to do the work....they would just rather not do it!) Anyway, then dinner has to be done....quickly. By then it's dark, so off to the showers and bedtime at 8:30...that battle is usually done around 9ish. So....there's my exercise...or at least the timeframe around which my exercise would be in. When DH was on days, homework would winding up by the time I got home. Not so much now. :sad2:

Ok....pitty party over. Hope you enjoyed a day in the life of Marie. It's a never ending party here! :dance3:

Another weekend shot to he!!~!
I busted my butt cleaning house....top to bottom..inside and out....ceiling fans, baseboards, switchplates, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, fresh flowers on the table, decorating above the kitchen cabinets....THE WORKS.....all for an open house THAT NO ONE FRICKIN' CAME TOO!!!!

I'm so sick of this! Something has got to give with this housing market! Oh...and we even dropped the price $10grand!! WTH!! :confused3

Ok....food this weekend...nothing healthy!
Friday - I have no idea...we did go out for dinner...I was outvoted and we ended up at Hooters. My family hates me.

Saturday - photo shoot...left the house at 7am...got home at 1....started cleaning and getting ready for open house. Didn't eat until about 8pm...then I inhaled 4 squares of pizza and a large coke(minus the rum)...I didn't realize how hungry I was!

Sunday -
B-3 mini donuts
L-sonic nasty cheeseburger
D-sonic butterfinger blast...much better!!

Exercise - photo shoot saturday morning, nonstop housework saturday afternoon, evening and sunday morning, another last minute photo shoot sunday evening.

My legs are cramping really bad tonight...not NEARLY enough water this weekend! :guilty:

Ok...gotta download and start working on some pictures...see ya'll later!

Sorry to hear about all the crap that's going on, Marie. You were super-crazy busy this past weekend. :headache: What is up with the freakin house market? My Lord.

But listen, don't hate me...but you gotta stop and focus on yourself a little bit too. You can't go that long in between meals (even if you can just stop for a quick sammich or snack). You get way too hungry and then overeat or eat crap that you really aren't even enjoying, you know? I'm just throwing out the tough love that I need myself right now. Just at least make sure you're getting in lots of water when you're busting your butt like that, ok? (end of lecture)

Thanks Kim...I know I can always count on you to NOT sugar coat what I need to be doing. You're right, more water, more eating on a schedule and definately more exercise.
I'll be so glad when school is done. Right now I'm fighting tooth and nail w/ DS12 to get his work done. It's old and I'm tired. I told him if he brings home one more F the tv, computer, Nintendo DS, Wii...all of it will be gone for the summer. I told him he will be reading and working out ALL SUMMER!! The child takes no pride in his work and it drives me crazy!  :headache:
Anyway, that's an everyday battle here, so I guess I should be used to it by now.

Oh, food today:
B-cinnamon roll
L-1/2 cheeseburger w/ lg coke
D-rum
no...i'm kidding...i won't have rum for dinner....maybe a tuna sandwich or something.

Ok...I just got to get this off my chest. I love my kids dearly. I don't know what I'd do without them....but here lately....THEY ARE DRIVING ME NUTS!! I mean I'm gritting my teeth...EVEN WHEN I'M ASLEEP! They fight ALL the time. You ask them to do something and all you get in return is attitude and argument! They ask a question, the answer is no and they keep on and on and on and on until you just can't take it anymore and you end up yelling at them to do whatever they hell they want to just to get them away from you! They are breaking me down to a quivering, spineless glob of insanity!!
It would be one thing if it were just one of them doing it, BUT IT'S BOTH! DS12 was aggrivating/bullying his sister and her friends down the street and the grandfather of the girls had to jump his butt about it! I thanked the man!! I told him if my kids were disrespectful to ANYONE, then any adult had full authority to discipline them. The grandfather made him apologize to the girls and then sent him home...WHERE MY SON SAID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO ME ABOUT IT!! Then, DD8 gets home and will not take a shower, will not get ready for bed and throws an all out fit when I tell her I'm not making milkshakes! WTH??!!! I can bend over backwards for you but you can't even take a fricking shower??!!
OH, and when I try to discuss the issue from down the street with my wonderful son, he cops an attitude and smarts off to me. Saying that he didn't do anything, it was so-and-so's fault...(there was no one with him!!)Everytime I said something, he had a smart@$$ answer.
That's pretty much when I lost it! Cell phone went flying across the kitchen, dog took cover....(still don't know where he is!) DS got his attitude adjusted REAL quick (my hand is still stinging) and DD ran to get in the shower!

I'm so tired of this. I'm tired of yelling at them all the time. I'm tired of them thinking that it's all about them. I'm tired of being the only one to do anything around this house. I'm fed up with the me,me,me attitudes. I'm sick of the whining. I'm sick of the CONSTANT fighting!

How old do they have to be before you can send them to boarding school? Or better yet, boot camp??!!

Ok...i'm going to bed where I can grind my teeth as I dream peacefully about kids that like each other and get along....yeah, right.

ok....vent over. no need to respond, unless you know of a cheap boarding school.

Wait....aren't the cops a little rough up there?? :rotfl: (joking!!)

I wrote up a contract for both of them to sign. It basically says that if they do what they are supposed to, not fight, do their chores without me harping on them, then I'll do what I promise...(ie-gymnastics, guitar, karate.) If they don't keep their end of the contract, then I don't have to do anything for them. I made them each read theirs out loud, asked them if they had any questions, then we signed it. I'm not holding my breath for any miracles, so time will tell. I told them they have until the end of the school year to adjust their attitudes in order for me to sign them up for the benefits. Again, we shall see.

Ok...gotta get busy on evening chores!

I could honestly use some Rum time....some prozac time....and some valium time. Problem is, I only have the rum, and it gives me a headache.

OK, I'm caught up. I didnt realize you were still selling the house? I thought since you moved back, you wouldnt need to sell it:confused3 . Anyway, I think thats too much stress.

I am with everyone else, I think you need a break. Unfortunately, sometimes it just doesnt work out that way. Day by day.

I like the contract idea with the kids. I didnt have that, but I had a job list. It was very specific about what was to be done and when. The organization really helped. I remember the homework wars. I have no solution tho. Wish I could be more helpful!

Something has to give. Looking from the outside in, I would say its the house-selling stress thats putting you over the limit.

I'm not going to take it off the market, because I want to move farther out of the city, but I'm not going to kill myself trying to keep it clean either. We had an open house, no one came. There are over 700 forclosures in this area, and about 1800 for sale. It's not like mine is going anywhere anytime soon. I don't like the person I've become....time for that to change!

Anyway, I read on the Dis for a while, ran to Michaels, helped DS make a DaVinci sock puppet..(don't ask), and pretty much did nothing after that. I didn't clean. I didn't do laundry. I didn't cook. Heck, I didn't even take a shower til tonight!! And ya know what.....IT WAS WONDERFUL!!
DH gave me a wonderful card as did the kids and I also got a 4GB compact flash for my camera! yay!!!!

Ok...food sucked today, but it was Monday, what do you expect??!!
Got a phone call at 4:30 today, they are showing the house between 8:30-9:30 tomorrow morning. :woohoo:
I came home and finished up laundry and put it away....hid the rest of the dirty stuff in the van! :rolleyes1
Then took DS to Taekwondo....we are going to sign him back up. He went about 4 years ago, and surprisingly enough, he remembers alot of the moves. The instructor said he won't have to start over as a white belt, but that he can come in as a low green. I have NO idea what that means, but the instructor said he should move up pretty quickly. Oh, and there's a cute girl in the class, so he's pretty interested in going back. DD wanted to take gymnastics, but decided she wants to do this too. Pretty girl has a cute brother that was flirting w/ my DD!!!:scared: (They found out they go to the same school...he's an older boy...in 4th grade!!!:rolleyes1 )

Ok...so got back home around 9ish...DS jumped in the shower, DD went to bed, and I hauled butt on the house!! I just got done sweeping and "swiffering"...and tomorrow all I'll need to do is make beds, light candles and open blinds....oh, and get myself ready for work and the kids ready for school. :sad2:
Oh, and while we were gone the dog ate part of the mini blinds in the dining room....guess the little b@$!ar# couldn't find any shoes!! I'll just open the window and pull them up...and I'll buy a new one on my lunch hour tomorrow.

Anyone want a 2 yr old male boxer? He's housetrained!!

The showing went good! No offer yet, but I'm hopeful!
I waited a couple hours and had my agent call their agent for feedback. They DEFINATELY like my house better than my neighbors and she's hoping to give us a call tomorrow. (ie-with an offer!) I REALLY need the pixiedust: now guys!

Ok...food...not a discussion I really want to have right now. Also...exercise is a no go! I can feel the weight inching back on...and it sucks. I have had entirely too many cokes...so first on my agenda is to eliminate those and get back on the water. I'll start working on that tomorrow....after I finish this coke!

Ok...I had a photo shoot on Tuesday night that I COMPLETELY forgot about! The woman called me 15 minutes before the performance started!! I made it in time..barely, and managed to shoot over 200 pictures. Now I have to download them, fix the one's that need fixing and burn her about a dozen discs.
So, that's on my agenda for the next few days...plus I have a wedding to shoot on Saturday...and it's about a 2 hour drive. Also, Sunday DH and I are going to do a little house shopping...just in case.
If I have an offer on the house, I'll let ya'll know...otherwise I'll try to check in Sunday.

Have a great weekend ya'll!!

So far, I haven't heard anything and I'm getting tired of calling my agent all the time! If they aren't interested, call me. If they are getting their financing together, call me. If they aren't interested, FRICKING CALL ME!!!
ok....done for now.

DH and i did find several houses that are of interest to us. Some are new constructions and one is a forclosure. Can't get my hopes up until I hear on my house. FRICK.

Ok...this weekend was exhausting! Drove 3 hours, shot a 4 hour wedding, drove 3 hours back! I told boss that he was paying my normal wage for drive time, plus gas! He didn't argue! Usually if it's local I just get the shoot time.
Anyway, between that, and 6+ hours of house shopping on Sunday, I'm tired!

Food this weekend:
Sat-
B-blueberry muffin
L-nothing
D-1/2 bbq sandwich, 2 bites of baked beans and a taste of crawfish.

Sun-
B-hell, i don't remember!
L-nothing
D-sonic cheeseburger, tots & sweet tea
snack-rootbeer float....hey, i was stressed....and TOM attacked on saturday!!

ok...gonna balance the checkbook.
later taters!

Good for you, girl. Stand up and get paid for your time. That's one heck of a commute you had there. :headache:

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you with the house ordeal. I really hope this is all over for you soon.

I really need to try a Sonic. I'm thinking it's a good thing we don't have them around me. :rolleyes1

They used to have those frotos chili things at sonic. Do they still have those? Basically it was a bag with fritos and chili and some cheese in it. Yummy. Sorry, I digress. :lmao:

OMG LInda....I think it's called a Chili Pie...:confused3 I've never had one cuz they look kinda gross, but DS LOVES them!!

DS is back into Taekwondo. He started last week...4 day free trial. Today was his 4th day and I went ahead and signed him up for the first month. He took it about 4 years ago and really liked it, but it was a daycare thing and it ended. Anyway, he remembers most of the patterns from then and the instructor is starting him off as a green belt. Tonight the instructor said he has learn 49 moves in 3 classes...very impressed! :cheer2: Yay DS!! He can go as many times a week as he wants and tonight he asked if he could go every day! I said, well, one class is from 12-1 and one from 7:30-8:30...you can go to both if you're serious about it. He hugged the breath out of me!! I think we might be on to something here....:rolleyes1

DD wants to do gymnastics again....we'll see.

Food yesterday:
B-toast w/ butter
L-dyers hamburger (greasy! ) & coke
D-nuked hot dog on the way to taekwondo

Today-
B-pbj on toast
L-taco hell - taco supreme, sweet tea
D-reheated hamburger that DH made last night (on the way out the door to taekwondo. (see a pattern here??)

Ok...gotta go fold 2 loads of laundry, then I'm going to bed!! :laundy: :laundy:

I'll figure out a way to get some exercise in here eventually.

Hi Marie,

It looks like your Taekwondo is the equivalent to Kate's dance classes. Isn't it crazy how our kids' schedules dominate out time/life? You will find the time to exercise. More :wizard: for the house coming.

Laundry again tonight....:laundy: :headache:

DS came home from school with the biggest smile. Turns out the girl he likes, likes him too!! :thumbsup2
He was on the phone w/ her when I got home from work...and thus it begins!!

 I think I have a plan. DS has taekwondo from 7:30-8:30 - I get home from work at 5:30....that means I can start running at 6ish.
Thats the plan for now....I'll start tomorrow, because it's already 6:25 and we have to leave around 7:10 to get there in time. Tonight when I get home, I will be downloading all new songs onto the Ipod!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Food today......:guilty: .....let's not discuss it....let's just start fresh tomorrow! (ice cream was involved...:rolleyes1 )

ok...gotta go....see ya's tomorrow!!!!

How nice of your DD. Love the new haircut too! Anyway, I just told my DD about it and now her goal is to grow out her hair to donate it! Shouldn't have too much further to go! I went to the website and neither of us could believe the wigs and how real they look. THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Hi guys.
Long weekend already.
Photo shoot Saturday nite til 11ish, then again this morning at 11am. I didn't get to bed til midnight, then for some stupid reason I woke up at 5am!! Couldn't fall back asleep!!
The pics I took this morning were of a friend of mine who is 8 months pregnant. I'm really pleased with how they came out. If pregnant belly pictures don't disgust ya'll, I'll post one or two tomorrow.

Anyway, DD went to a friends house to swim and DS went to a friends house....who happens to be a girl....;) ;) . They both like each other, but at 12 yrs old, they're even too nervous to hold hands!! Today they went for a bike ride to a lake w/ the girls 7 yr old brother...the best kind of chaperone!!
Even though they were gone for a few hours, I was still non-stop busy. Downloading pictures, cleaning the house, etc etc.

Anyway, I'm going to bed now.
Plan on starting the running tomorrow morning...WISH me luck!!

I got my butt out of bed this morning and went for my 2 mile powerwalk/run. I printed off the C25K and did a modified version.
Powerwalk for 5 minutes as warm up.
Ran 2 walked 2 for 10 minutes, then ran 1 walked 2 for 10 minutes then powerwalked for 10 minutes and then I was home!!!

Food plans are as follows for today:
B: toast w/ peanut butter
L: Lean Cuisine (I picked up 5 at the store the other day)
D: Tuna & salad.
and water water water!!!

Maybe if I put my plan in writing BEFORE I do it, I will actually do it.

Real quick....after ya'll get done running, do you get TOM like cramps? I'm really feeling like I could double up right now, and I know it's not that time....(did that a week and a half ago....?)

Ok....headed for the sshower!
Have a wonderful Tuesday friends!!

Hi guys!!
Well, I stuck to the plan for the most part.
Breakfast was changed to an Advocare Shake (kinda like slimfast), and dinner was 1 taco.
Water was 60 oz.
Exercise was the 2 miler this morning, and a 2 mile bike ride w/ the kids tonight.
Tomorrow, I will feel ALL of my efforts from today.
OH...I weighed today.....158.6. Going nowhere fast huh!!?

Ok...I have to finish the pregnancy pictures and get them ready to deliver. I have to get a bunch of pictures ready to send to my DSIL for my IL's anniversary, and I have to get busy on a scrapbook for my dad for Fathers Day.
Needless to say, something isn't going to get done!! :(

Morning guys!
Been busy around here....as usual!
I don't know if ya'll remember back in January when my dads equiptment shed burnt and he lost all of his farming tractors....well, back in the 80's & early 90's he restored antique tractors, and some of those were lost in the fire. My mom sent me a box (7pound box!) full of pictures. Before, during and after pictures, pictures of us girls washing the tractors getting ready for parades, pictures of the grandkids first rides on the tractors.....tons of pictures. Well, I've been working on putting together a scrapbook for dad for fathers day. His very own John Deere tribute! I was having stomach issures again yesterday, so I stayed home and worked on the book. I got quite a bit done, and there's a real good chance I'll have it finished before we head to Illinois next Wednesday.
Anyway, if I'm not on here for a few more days, just know that I'm thinking aobut ya'll, I am walking/running in the mornings, and I've been managing 60 oz of water a day since last week....INCLUDING THE WEEKEND!! Also, I weighed in today.....154.4! :woohoo:

I'll be back in a few days!:woohoo: !
love to all!

Actually, I think i'm free the next 3 weekends!! Well, we're leaving to go to Illinois on Wednesday nite, and coming home on Monday, so I told the boss not to schedule me cuz i wasn't gonna be around. I'm still working on the scrapbook for dad.....it's coming along pretty good. I'm gonna do some housework and yardwork this morning, then spend the rest of the weekend on it....hopefully I'll have it done in time.

anyway, gonna get the day going now....lots to do!!
oh...i weighed yesterday morning....153...but then we went out for drinks last night.....so I'm not holding my breath for that number again.

Snarky here!!
Sorry I've been out of touch lately....(hell, I've been out of touch most of my adult life!!) Anywawy, been working on the scrapbook for dad...actually got alot of it done. It's not finished, but it won't take long to finish up.

So, we're on the road to Illinois now. We're gonna drive about 6 hrs tonight and stay at a hotel and finish up the last few hours in the morning. I hate this drive! 8+ hours of NOTHING!! Thank god for the DVD in the van! DS is watching a movie and DD is listening to my iPod....singing along with it! She cracks me up when she sings "LO" by FloRide! She even mimicks givin the "big booty a smack!" :lmao:
DH keeps trying to talk to me while I'm typing....I'm listening with one ear....the ear that only has 30% hearing in it! :rotfl2:
I'm rotten....I know!

Ok....so I weighed this morning....155.0. Not bad. I liked 153 better, but I knew it wouldn't last long after going for drinks. I also haven't walked/run in 2 or 3 days. Oh well.

Ok....nothing new and exciting going on here. I haven't had to open a can of whoopass on anyone at work lately....kinda boring there.....no one has really ruffled my feathers....either that or I'm just really not paying attention.

I'm getting nauseous typing while the vehicle is moving....I'll catch up with ya'll later!

Ok...so we're back on the road....we stopped about midnight last night and I didn't sleep for crap! Stomach still nauseous. Just nerves i guess....my family does that to me! We should be there by 11 this morning. yay.

I didn't take any pictures of the scrapbook....it's mostly dad's tractors...before, during and after. Oh, and there's no way in hell I'm putting a picture of me in the 80's/90's on here!! :rolleyes1 They don't have a smilie w/ permed hair!! (although I did have a pretty good shape back then!!)
I was cracking up at one of the pictures of my sister! She was TOTAL 80's punk!! Her hair was shaved on the sides and pouffy on the top....and a weird color of reddish/orange....on a tractor! Yeah...a real farmers daughter!!!:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: She's gonna hate me for putting it in the album, but honestly, how could I resist?? :confused3 I will probably try to put that on one here!!! :rolleyes1

Ok...so it's Saturday evening and my bro&sis in law kept the kept the kids....all of them! The cousins on my hubby's side never really get to play with our kids, and they BEGGED to have them all sleep over....so they said ok. :faint: The funny thing is....DH :faint: and I have NOTHING to do! my sis & her family are a a graduation party, my in-laws are tired and headed to bed, my other sis & bro in law are going to the bar and we really don't want to go to my mom & dads tonight cuz mom will have more projects for us!!:rotfl: She has had DH working since he got out of the van on Thursday!! Some vacation for him, huh?! Also, mom is a smoker and I really need a break from it! :headache: So, I don't really know what we are going to do tonight...maybe head out to sis's and hang in the pool for a bit. :confused3

Anyway, other than than that, it has been a nice visit. Today we had the surprise 40th anniversary party for DH's parents~they were surprised and everyone had a good time. Other than the fact that I can't stand my DH's brothers wife. DH's sister was laughing at me when I got out my bottle of coconut rum! She grinned and I said "Hey, I made it an hour and a half, did ya think I'd go all day aoround her with no alcohol??!!" Then we both started laughing!
Tomorrow we will be back at mom & dad's for Fathers day and a cookout. One of the things that I like about going to mom and dads is that we get to shoot! Dad has a target area set up and every time we come home we get to shoot! He even has a skeet shooter!! PULL~BOOM!! I love doing that stuff!! Dad and DH sill spend 4+hours tomorrow with their guns! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Ok....dh is headed back to my sisters, so it looks like we're gonna hang in the pool and enjoy the quiet! :cloud9:

Talk to ya'll in a few days!!
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dad's ou there!!!

You know what, my family has never done any shooting at all, but my sister went out with her husband about 5 years ago and tried the skeet shooting thing. Well, turns out, shes like a shooting savant. Now shes like , pushing 50, and travels around to these competitons. Shes even ranked in her age group and has been in magazines and stuff. So you just never know.

Kim~HAHAHAHAHA-no really, you crack me up!!! :rotfl2:
You really don't expect me to do something like that DO YOU!!! Honestly, I can find SOMETHING more creative to do!!! :lmao:
Actually, we stopped by some friends house for a quick visit....all three of their girls were home from college. Love that family! There are 3 girls, the youngest are 19 yr old twins....I met them at thier 1st birthday party!! Damn, I feel old now!! Anyway, had a nice visit w/ them, then went back to sis's and chilled out! Very relaxing! Sunday it stormed pretty bad in the morning, then it got real nice while we cooked out and ate, then it promptly started storming again. Therefore we didn't get to shoot at all! :( Dad and DH was pretty disappointed, as was DS because this was the first year that he was going to be allowed to shoot. I told him next time for sure....unless it's lightening!

DH and I agreed that it was a pretty nice visit. DSis didn't get on my nerves, nor I on hers! The kids all got along amazingly well...which is VERY unusual, and I didn't really stress out at all!! I do wish we could have spent more time w/ my in-laws....I LOVE my MIL & FIL!! They are really great people and don't expect anything of us when we come home. I like going there becuase we can just sit and visit andnot have to DO anything. At my mom's, there is always a project to be done. She had DH redoing her tv/entertainment stuff....all the electronics that she and dad know nothing about. Hell, DH had to go with them to buy a new 42in. TV!! :confused3 :rolleyes1 Anyway, while he was messing w/ that stuff, Dad and I went out and got on the mowers and cut grass. You have to realize that their FRONT yard is about 2 acres! Not a small job in the least! Anyway, we got it done and Dad appreciated the help. It usually takes him about 2 days!

I just realized something....I must be getting old! I haven't had anything snarky to say in a while. What's wrong with me? Am I getting soft? Do people not annoy me like they used to? Is my hearing that bad that I don't hear the stupidity that usually comes from peoples mouths? Did Alabama give me more tolerance? HMMMM......this is starting to bother me. I'm gonna have to pay closer attention to the world I guess. I don't like the way I've become! I miss me.

I promise I'll be better.....gonna have to go to counseling or something....but I need me back!!

Ok...typing and driving is making me nauseous again....we've got 8 hours of highway ahead of us....I'll check back in a few days!!

Love ya's!!

Ok...we're back home and things are somewhat normal. I had taken Tuesday off as a vacation day as well and got ALL the laundry done and put away!!! :woohoo: DH did yard work and washed the vehicles, then worked 6pm-4am! :worried: I went back to work yesterday and knocked out payroll and all the stuff from the days I was gone. I did save a few things for today.....just to look busy. Work is REALLY slow right now.

Ok..OH...dad really liked the book! He was okay that it wasn't completely finished...he know's I'll get it done. He goes for coffee every morning with some other farmers to at the grain elevator and he said he was going to take it with him to show off. Too funny! Mom really liked it too....she was a mazed that I got as much done as I did.

Ok....so now I'm back on the PLAN!
Goal for today & the coming weekend~
WATER WATER WATER!!!
I didn't drink enough in Illinois, I never do! I am going to try to get 60 oz in a day. That seems to do me pretty good. I am also cutting back on my portions. I did pretty good in Illinois, and plan to keep it up here.

Man o man what a week!! DS has taekwondo every night til about 9 and then showers and a quick bite before bed. I haven't had 2 seconds to get on the computer to check in with ya'll!! Sorry!!
House update~they showed the house last Saturday and the people loved it! They came back yesterday and just looked at it from outside, and then came back again today to walk through it again! Let me tell you~I have been busting my butt on this place!! It looks GOOOOOOOD!!!!!! DH was edging the yard this morning and I was mowing the back yard when they called. They wanted to see it again between 1:15-2:15. No problem...just needed to put up some laundry, sweep, mop, vaccuum, dust....typical Saturday chores! Anyway, DH was doing weedwhacking and edging so I went ahead and cut the front yard too!! (insert hot, sweaty smilie here!) Got done with the yard, then swept and cleaned up the garage, then came in and started on the inside stuff!! I managed to get a shower in and we were out of the house by 1! :hyper: Anyway, we go grab a bite to eat, and stop at the grocery store and come back home at 2:10. Put groceries away and finally sit down for the first time today. At 2:30 the doorbell rings...they were running late!! No problem, we load up the kids and the dog again and leave again!! Drive around the neighborhood for 20 minutes. They just left! Keep your fingers crossed that they make an offer!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

Ok...so, you guys missed the snarky Marie...let me tell you she was back in full swing yesterday!! Here's a little background info...I get migraines. Sometimes the weather will bring one on, sometimes certain smells will trigger one. My boss is very sensative to smells too. The cleaning company knows not to use ANY smelly cleaning products in the office during working hours. (They actually don't even need to be in the office when we're there!) Ok..so yesterday (boss took the day off.), the cleaning lady....who is extremely obnoxious....and....ok...how can I say this gently....she's kinda nasty! (Missing a few teeth...overweight...greasy hair....dirty clothes.) So, she comes in the office, goes right into the room that has the fax machine and copier in it. Next thing I know the smell is overwhelming!! It feels like a knife is cutting into my head instantly!! :headache: :headache: I say...loudly so she can hear me, but still politely...."GOOD LORD WHAT ARE YOU SPRAYING IN THERE??!" Co-worker "B" can see into the area where the cleaning lady is and says "She's not spraying anything, she's too busy reading our faxes!!" I looked at "B" and said "WHAT~she sure as hell better not be reading company faxes!!" (ok...so the polite was not as noticable at this point!) Cleaning lady comes around the corner (with the fax paper still in her hand!!) and says....VERY RUDELY~ "I'm not spraying anything in here...I'm using the same thing that I always use!" To which I reply..."Well, it's 3 times stronger than it should be and it is killing me...you need to take whatever you are using and get the hell out of here with it...and you also need to put that fax THAT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS down and keep your nose out of things that don't concern you!!" She puts the fax down and says "I'm not doing anything wrong! You don't need to be so sensative!" Ok...I'm sitting at my desk....at this point I stand up, lean across the desk and say.....through clenched teeth..."You and that stinkin' sh!t that you carry around with you need to get the hell out of this office before I come around this desk and make you wish too hell you had! And you can also rest assured that I will be calling the company you work for and telling them that your attitude sucks, and you seem to have a hard time minding your own business!!" She stood there for a second just staring at me. Then she throws her nose in the air and stomps out of the office. I was FUMING at this point!:furious: :furious: I call boss at home, inform her of the situation (she gets pissed!), then I call another mgr that is more in charge of the cleaning company and tell him the situation. He gets pissed and goes and finds her and fires her on the spot! He escorted her off the lot!! I know it sounds kinda trivial reading it on here, but she was so rude and hateful!! That's what ticked me off!! That and the fact that she does not work for this company and has no business reading anything on the fax machine or copier or on a desk, or anything at all!! It does not concern her! Anyway, after she stomped out I looked at the other 3 girls in the office and asked..."Did I start that? Was I out of line??" They were all shocked at how she responded to me and said no, I was not out of line at all!! Co-worker "R" even called the mgr and told him that the woman was out of line! And no, she won't be out of a job, she just won't be allowed to clean our place of business. They'll send someone else from now on.
I had to go outside for about 30 minutes until the smell dissipated. I even asked the other girls if I was over-reacting and they said no, that whatever she was using was unusually strong. I'm not kidding...my head hurt for the rest of the day....even after taking 3 tylenol!

Ok....enough whining about that...just thought I'd let ya'll know I can still be pretty hateful when I need to be!!!

Oh...the diet plan isn't going as well as planned. Not NEARLY enough water this week!! I'll do better next week, I promise!! I'm still at around 153-155...so I feel ok. Not gaining, but not losing either.

Ok....I think this post is long enough...I'll try to check in later in the week.

love ya'll!!!!!!

She's back! Like a breath of fresh air!

Very exciting about the house, I have been meaning to ask about it but was afraid I would jinx it again. You have worked so hard, I hope this is it!

As far as getting the obnoxious cleaning lady thrown out:thumbsup2 I get migrains too, and I smell everything, even when no one else does!

Keep us updated!

Yeah...it's good to be back!! I don't feel bad about the cleaning lady at all. Her own fault!

Regarding the house....I'm getting frustrated! Got a call today that we are in the top 3 of her choices, but that the one she really wants is $30,000.00 more than she can afford/approved for....:confused3 Why the heck would you even look at something that far out of your budget?? :confused3 :confused3 Anyway, apparantly she is waiting to find out if she can get that one, then we'll know more. I'm just beyond really caring anymore. I want out of this area, and I guess so does everyone else! There are 3 houses on our block for sale!! The 3rd went on the market tonight! Ours, the one next door and one diagonally across the street. This sucks!!

Ok...no water today. Just stress.
We'll see what tomorrow brings!!

Thanks guys and I"ll talk to ya'll later!!

Miss Snarky has been showing up more and more lately!
Co-worker R made the comment yesterday that it costs her $10.00 a day to come to work. "That's $50.00 out of my paycheck every week!!"
I looked at her and said, "Well, you have a few choices.....buy a smaller vehicle that uses less gas....(she drives a Ford Expedition 25 miles one way), ask for a raise, that you won't get, to compensate for the increase in gas prices, or just be damn thankful you have a fricking job because right now people are getting laid off left and right and don't have $50 a week to feed their damn families!!"  She didn't talk to me the rest of the day. :confused3 :confused3 :thumbsup2

Ok....Happy 4th of July ya'll!! We came to Alabama to see my sister and her family for the weekend!! Hangin' by the pool today and tomorrow we are going to the lake to jet ski and water ski. Although I don't waterski, I will enjoy the time in the sun!!!

Oh....the house....:headache: The one woman came and looked at it 3 times so far....still nothing! Also, I got another call yesterday and they are going to show it again to someone else on Saturday. At least we are getting it shown!! And LOTS of good feedback! I think people are just nervous about the economy. I know I am!!!

Ok....happy boom-boom day!!!!

Boom-Boom day.....fireworks go BOOM-BOOM!!
(Hey...I shorten Valentines Day to Happy VD...what do you expect from me??!)

OMG!! We had the BEST weekend!!! We are on our way home now and we are all a little/lot sunburned....and tired....but destressed and happy!!
Friday I laid in the pool for 2 hours, then the sun went away and it started raining....just for a llittle bit though. Friday night we wnt with sis and her family and about 8 of their friends to see the fireworks....they were pretty good. Saturday we left around 9:20 for the lake. Got there about 11, ate and got on the water around 12:30-1ish....got off the water about 6:30-7. THEN we found out the hot water heater wasn't working!!! :lmao:
We had the choice of taking an ICE COLD shower or just throw on some deoderant and go find a burger place for dinner.....hope we didn't offend anyone at JACK's!!!:lmao:
When we got back to the lakehouse DBIL had some fireworks so he and the bigger kids set them off and we all managed to crawl into bed around 10:30ish. The storm hit about 11!! Needless to say....I didn't sleep well. I was up and out on the HUGE deck overlooking the lake at 6:10! DBIL got Dsis up around 7:30 and me, DH and Dbil and Dsis all went out on the lake! My god the water was like glass!!! No one was out and the steam/mist was coming off the water!! It was beautiful!!!

Anyway, the kids got up around 9:30, threw some food down their throats and hit the water by 10!! We jetski'd (?) and tubed more today.....needless to say I'm gonna be sore tomorrow!!! Oh....after playing today I told Dsis I HAD to take a shower....I didn't care how cold it was!! (I wasn't driving 3 hrs home with lake funky on me!!....although it was a VERY clean lake!)
Let's just say that once you got over the initial SHOCK :scared1: of the ice cold water hitting you....and your body pretty much went numb....you were ok!! I even went ahead and put conditioner in my hair!!! WTH....I was already blue!!! DH couldn't believe i did it and figured it couldn't be that bad....so he decided to take a quick one.....Very quick!!!! He made it in and out in 2 minutes!!! LOL!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: (then he told me I was a freak!!) :confused3

Ok....enough rambling!! We'll be back in hell....I mean Memphis in about 30 minutes....I'll check in with ya'll later this week!!!

Oh....btw....did I say we had a good time?? Man it was great!!!

Today is DH's birthday!! Big 45!! I sent A BUNCH of people texts to call him and wish him a happy one....EVERYONE did (or texted him) and he couldn't figure out how they knew!! The guys at work took him to dinner and had everyone in the resturant sing to him....he hates that!!! :lmao:

Kim....he told me what he responded to you and I cracked up!!:rotfl2: I told him you probably didn't know what he was talking about....I'll fill you in in short form.
You need to rent the movie ACCEPTED. It's about a kid that opens/starts his own college. At one point, a buddy of his is trying to get into a big fraternity and he has to wear a weiner costume and he runs around the campus yelling......."ASK ME ABOUT MY WEINER!!!"
That, of course, is an ongoing joke with DH and I, and he just ASSUMES everyone has seen the movie.
Sorry if he offended you....but I did find it quite funny that he said that to you!!!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rolleyes1
(honestly, he's harmless...strange, but harmless!!)

Ok...DD wants to make daddy brownies....even though he's working til 1am. (I gave him a kiss before I left for work this morning and I probably won't see him till later in the week....awake that is!)

Talk to you all soon!!
Oh...the diet....yeah...right!! :rolleyes1

I'm so glad you had a great weekend. You needed and deserved a lot of fun/relaxation! Did you take pics? (I know, probably a stupid question). If so, I'd love to see some!

Yeah...he asked me "Who do I know in the *** area code?" I laughed and said "oh, just some chick that likes a man in uniform!" He laughed!!...(actually I said something about a uniform fettish!!:rolleyes1 )

Yes, I took pictures in Alabama....but I haven't downloaded them yet....I'm gonna TRY to do that tonight.

While we were at the lake this weekend DS put spf 36 on...all over....even his face. Unfortunately it didn't do much on his face...he got pretty red. Yesterday his face was all swollen and his eyes were all squinty....DH got some aloe and it seemed to help. Today his face is peeling and you can tell he's gonna have the best tan! I keep telling him the girls are gonna go ga-ga over him, but he doesn't believe me! :confused3

Ok...so they showed the house again tonight. They were supposed to be here between 8-9 and as the kids/dog and I were leaving at 7:45, the car was pulling up. I wish people could tell time!
Maybe we'll hear something this time. It's really getting old. BUT, I do have to say I like having a clean house! I told DH tonight that when we get a new house, the first year it's going to be a mess because I'm sick to death of cleaning!! DS has been a TREMENDOUS help around here! I called and asked him to make his bed since we were showing the house tonight...he made his bed, his sisters bed, folded 4 loads of laundry and put them away, helped his sister unload the dishwasher and was in the process of trying to figure out how to clean the toilets when I got home!!! I gave him $10.00 and told him I could handle the rest and to go take a break!! I have a really great kid!!

ok....gonna get some pictures downloaded!

Oh...I got ANOTHER phone call last night at 4:45...they wanted to show the house between 4:45-5:00! I was still at work! The kids were home, but they would have had to go in the backyard with the dog, and it was raining out. I told the agent that it wasn't going to be possible with that little of notice. They were cool and said they'd make another appointment for the weekend. Hopefully they will.

ok, DH is home and we have some errands to run.

Ok...so the people that wanted to see the house yesterday called and wanted to see it today between 4-4:30. I said okey dokey....DS had the house spotlesss...I went home at 3ish, got the kids and the dog and took them back to work with me! Co-workers loved that! :rolleyes1 oh well, boss said i could. Haven't had any feedback yet, but I never got any from the last 5 showings either!!! I'm really irritated about that. How hard is it to call and say, "I like it, but it's too small." "I don't like the colors." "I don't like the floorplan" "It's a great house, but not what we were looking for" or better yet...."We love it, here's a full offer contract!" But no....people aren't that considerate. My agent has called their agents at least2 times to get feedback and their agents don't return his calls! We are talking about 5 DIFFERENT AGENTS!!! WTH people....I guess common courtesy isn't so common anymore!!

ok...since I'm on a little bit of a rant right now...TOM hit today....2 frickin' weeks early! What's up with that??:confused3 I asked DH if it was time....(he keeps better track of it than I do...guess he thinks he'll get lucky one of these days...:rotfl2: :lmao: ) Anyway, he's like "uh...you aren't due for 2 more weeks...are you sure?!......you're kidding me right honey? am I sure I'm being attacked by the wicked witch of the south? Am I sure that I'm cramping and bloating and that my breasts are swollen up enough that I wouldn't need a life jacket should I decide to go for a swim down river...am I sure that I have to make a special run to walgreens for those wonderfully, comfortable adult diapers and super duper human plugs...plastic for me, no cardboard!! YES HONEY, I'M FRICKIN' SURE T.O.M IS HERE!!! probably a good thing he's working til midnight tonight....they might not have found his body had he asked me that in person.
Ok...I think should go to bed now....I can't be responsible for the next hormonal mood swing...I'm not sure what may come out of my mouth.

Maybe tomorrow I"ll actually download the pictures from Alabama and get them posted....maybe I'll stay in bed eating brownies and diet root beer.....and I don't even like diet root beer.

good nite all, and have a wonderful weekend. I know i will....yeah...whatever!

Even though its frustrating when you dont get feedback, its good that people are looking. A very good sign I'd say.

Is this the same realtor you had before or someone different? I am only asking because there is a certain technique used occasionally by real estate peeps (well a few) and it can hurt your sale. One did this to my sister years ago. I hope no real estate narcs are reading this. Anyway, they showed my sisters house very often, with no results. Turns out they priced it a bit higher (advised by the realtor) than the realtors other listings. She would then show my sis's house, and then show the lower priced comparable listing. Basically, she was using my sis's house as a teaser of sorts, to make them feel the other house was a bargain. I have been skeptical of the real estate peeps since then. Not that I think yours is that way. Lets face it its a rough market out there, and if you are getting looks, its gotta be good. We have seen pics of your house, so we know its gorgeous!

Hey Linda....it's not the same one....different agent, different company. My last agent was VERY lazy....didn't want to do an open house, didn't advertise in the paper, I had to make up my own flyers AND bought the info box to put on the sign in the yard....basically she wanted to sit on her butt and collect the commission when the house sold.
The new agent has done everything I've asked him to and more so I can't complain about him.
No showings this week, and I hate to say it, but I'm glad. The house is a disaster right now, and I'm okay with that!

VERY busy weekend! Outside photo shoot yesterday from 1-6...I think I lost 10 pounds from sweating!! I have a Wedding Show to do today. I have to be there between 9-9:30 to set up, and it gets done at 5....then I have to go unload everything at the studio, and load up for a swim team shoot tomorrow evening. That will be from 4-7ish.
After being in the sun all day yesterday, then we went to a party last night....had a few beers...got home around 11....I'm really tired!!

Oh well!! Gotta get moving.....:sad2:
talk to ya soon!

Good morning friends!
Well, we had another showing yesterday morning....this was the 3rd or 4th time for this couple. They made an offer....if that's what you want to call it! After I got done laughing, we made a counter offer and now we are just waiting to hear back. I'm not holding my breath.

The diet is not going well right now at all! I haven't had a full bottle of water since I don't know when! I'm up to about 156, and not happy about that either!

Ok...so tonight I have to download and tweak photos from 3 differnt shoots so I can get those delivered and get paid for them. Tomorrow we will either go looking at houses (if we get an offer on ours), or do some yardwork and chill. Tomorrow nite we have some friends and their kids coming for a cookout. The boys will play video games and the girls are all set for the Hannah Montanna show. I'm looking forward to the adult interaction. DH is on evenings now and I haven't really seen him in about a month now. He is also working 2 of his days off for overtime. :sad2:
Sunday is DD 9th birthday! She is so excited, but I'm really having a hard time getting pumped up. I haven't gotten her anything and really don't know what I'm going to get her. I'll go shopping today on my lunch hour. She want's clothes...lots of clothes! Little fashion diva! We were planning her party for Saturday, but 4 of the 7 friends she wanted to invite are out of town. We talked about it and decided to postpone it for a week or 2.
I'll get in a better mood for it before then...and i'll make sure the house is decorated before she wakes up on Sunday...and I'll probably have a cake for saturday night....just to make her feel special.

ok...i gotta get ready for work....yay.

Thanks TSD (and Kimmy!) for the PD on the house....but it just wasn't meant to be! Everyone wants something for nothing these days! We are already at our lowest price...dropped it 19k since we put it on the market....and they come in and offer $21K LES THAN THAT!! Like I said...after I picked myself up off the floor from laughing, we countered, and my agent called back this morning to tell me they passed. I asked him for their number cuz I really wanted to know what kind of dope they were smoking to even think we would have accepted that! :rotfl2: Ok...I'm over it now.

So, I went shopping for DD's b-day today....bought 3 complete outfits, w/ earrings, plus 2 tank tops (cuz she likes the layered look) and another top to wear w/ her white shorts at Limited 2. Yeah....it was fun....and some stuff was actually on sale! DS and I also went to Sam's and got her BIG COOKIE that she likes. We will probably eat on that tomorrow night!!

Ok....I still have 2 sets of pics to download and it's aleady midnite...:sad2:
Oh...tomorrow I will be shoppin for a new computer. I would explain it, but the damn thing would probably lock up in the middle of it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DD!!!! :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :cake: :bday: party: 9 years old!!!

ok....back to normal for a minute! Yesterday was LOADS of fun....really! My friend "A" (she is a photographer as well, and I really admire her & her work) and I had made plans for her to come over and teach me photoshop. Well, she and her husband came over about 10, and that's when we discovered why my computer was running so slow...it was getting ready to crash! Her husband is a computer guru and started looking into the problems....needless to say, he save me alot of heartache! He moved ALL of my stuff to an external harddrive.....then we all went to Best Buy and I got a new computer! I already had a new monitor, but the tower/cpu....guts...was in BAD shape!! So....$1000.00 later, I'm back up and running! :woohoo: Pretty quickly too I might add!! This thing is SCREAMING FAST!!! Anyway, they didn't leave until 5:00pm!! But that's ok because we had a really good time visiting and they really taught me alot about the computer, and photoshop!
I offered to pay them and they said no, so I gave them a $50 gift card to Outback. That's pretty cheap for all they did yesterday!!
Anyway, as they were leaving, the company that my husband had invited over for a cookout were arriving!! :hyper: They have 3 kids....13,9 & 6....but they were all really good and the kids played really well together! The boys....(my ds12 and their ds13 really hit it off and are planning a sleepover next weekend!) We visited, ate and played cards til midnight!! It was alot of fun!! With DH on evenings now, I don't really get to socialize much, and this was actually a ::cop: wife that I got along really well with! Anyway, a little tired today, but that's ok!

DD got up at about 9 and was all smiles!! We had her cookie cake last night, and she couldn't wait to open her presents! The dog got her the Myley Cyrus Breakout CD, her brother got her a Myley/Hannah barbie doll duo pack and dh and I got her the clothes! She's back in her room playing and jamming out til we go to the movie later!

ok...i'm gonna go play on photoshop for a bit...talk to ya'll later~!

hi guys....sorry I've been out of touch. I've been in a funk lately.
the stupid house still hasn't sold and I'm tired of looking at the sign in the yard.
the kids started back to school on the 11th and the homework battle is really getting on my nerves.
dh is working the afternoon shift, so I really don't get to see him too much at all. he was working 2 of his 3 days off, and the one day we had, we pretty much bickered at each other the whole time. he's not working the overtime anymore, so it's getting better.
the diet is non-existant, but I haven't gone over 155-156, so I'm happy. I am going to start working out this week...dh bought a bowflex (used) and I'll be darned if it's gonna collect dust! I'm not going to log it on here, cuz my time is really limited now days. between homework and ds's taekwondo and dealing with dd's 9 yr old drama DAILY i honestly don't have time for anything else. my plan it so get up in the morning and do a 30 minute workout then get ready for work.....we'll see how it goes.

anyway, i'll check in when i can....I PROMISE!!

love ya'll!

Hi guys!
Just a quickie update~STILL NO HOUSE SALE!!! LOL
anyway, DS is really getting into taekwondo. He tested on 8/8/08 for 2nd degree green belt. He did really good and on Monday he found out that he bypassed 2nd degree and advanced to 3rd degree Green belt. We were really proud and excited for him. He's been working really hard all summer, so it's really paying off! I'm glad he's found something that he likes and wants to follow through with!
Today we are on our way to Dickson TN for a taekwondo tournament. This is his first one and he's pretty nervous. I told him no to expect to win anything, but it's the experience that he needs. He will be testing on his knowledge of patterns and he will spar (fight) against another kid in his age and rank. Should be pretty interesting. I'll update how he did later....right now he's in the back of the van laying down with a headache.

ok....typing and driving make me nauseaus....

Hi marie! How did your DS do in his first tournament? It's great that he found something good and healthy to do. My boy did karate when he was younger, but quit when he got in middle school (not enough time). He had lots of fun.

There is a tae kwan do place here in town and they also have some kind of adult exercise thing. I was thinking about trying it myself. Also the guy who runs it was on "bachelorette" as one of the guys. He didnt win, but he's a hottie. :goodvibes

Hope things get better in the house department. The paper said today the market has bottomed out, so it should get better now. Patience. All 3 of the houses surrounding me have recently sold, and 2 had been up for more than a year. Dont give up hope!

later!

OMG! I can't believe I didn't update!!
There were 5 boys in his age/rank. He placed 2nd in patterns and 2nd in sparring! I was so nervous!! He had to spar (fight) 3 different times and when they said that the third time it was to determine 1st and 2nd DH and I looked at each other shocked!! He did really good, but the other kid had longer legs and got a few good kicks in. We were really....REALLY proud of him. There was about 200-300 people in the gym at any given time, and he never lost his focus! Talk about growing up!!

Anyway, my baby boy is 13 today!! I can't believe I'm the mother of a teenager!! aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!:sad1:

Anyway....back to the grind...laundry, homework, bath & bed.
Oh the joys of being an adult!!:laundy:

later!

My gosh...where has the time gone??
I know i haven't been around....sorry!
The house is still on the market, and we are supposed to have an open house next weekend....I'm dreading it. I haven't been doing the DEEP cleaning like I should have, so I guess I'll have to do it this weekend. ugh.
I had a 7 hour photo shoot last saturday....i was sunburnt and dehydrated by the time I got home...needless to say, i was worthless saturday night and just plain tired on sunday!
I have another all day shoot this saturday....outside again...hopefully I'll bring enough water this time! 3 of the assistants didn't bring any so I gave them some of mine....duh!!

Oh...I started exercising again this morning. It really didn't suck too bad. I did a 2 mile walk at 5:30 this morning. First time in a long time that I didn't want to rip someones head off at work....could there be a connection?

ok....I promise i will check in at least once a week from now on. Between taekwondo 3 nites a week, DS church youth group every monday night, showers, homework and dinner....you guys know the routine...it's called life!

ttyl!!

Hi, Marie! Hope the open house goes well! :wizard: And hope you had a better Saturday this weekend than last weekend.

I know what you mean about the week getting so busy that it's gone before you know it. I feel like on the weeks that I exercise the week is gone before I realize it. I like exercising, but I don't like the time drain that it creates. Oh, well, what can you do, right? :confused3

Way to go getting up early for the walk!! :cool1: Doesn't it feel good! :goodvibes

Hope you have a great week!! :goodvibes

Ok....so maybe not once a week....maybe once a month. I can probably manage that!
House still hasn't sold and I really don't give a sh!& anymore!
I've gained about 10 pounds since this summer. I'm up to 162.2 as of Tuesday. I'm going to start walking again in the morning....I want to get back into the mid 150's. 8-10 pounds is my goal. I'm really going to get busy on the 140 by 40 plan. I only have about 4 months to go!

Ok....all is well here....DS is working his way out of trouble. If you don't know what I'm talking about go here......

I''ll check back soon.....take care!

Hey, Marie! I had seen this post back when you put it up and I went over and read about your son. I'm glad that last I read things seemed to be working out for you guys. Hang in there! And know that you aren't a bad mom just because your child doesn't listen to the things you taught him!

Hope you are doing ok! I miss hearing from you and getting to see how much dedication you have even when things aren't going your way!

Take care of yourself!!

Sorry guys~I suck.
No excuses, just life as usual! I do need to get my butt back over here and get things going again...keep pressuring me, I work well under pressure!!

Here is what's been going on lately~
DS is doing great with the horses and his punishment. We've decided that for Christmas we are going to get him the iPOD radio/docking thing and wrap the iPOD up with it. He will still be limited though. He also tests in December for Blue Belt in Taekwondo, so he will be focusing on that as well. Hopefully he will keep his head out of his butt and let me survive the teenage years!

DH & I celebrated 17 years of marraige on Sunday. We went to Alabama and saw Jeff Dunham Live! It was a great time! I got to see my sister, laugh my butt off and spend time with DH!! I know there are alot of people here on the DIS that are divorced, or having maritial problems and I hate to hear that. I married my best friend 17 years ago and even though we've had some pretty bad spells, he is still my best friend! I can't imagine life without him!
ok...enough mushy crap! lol

The house is off the market. I took it off back in October. The way the economy is, it was too stressfull to deal with anymore.

The diet...well....I'm at 157-158 these days and I'm ok with it. I'd still like to be at 140, and in time I believe I will be, but again, I'm not going to stress over it. I know I need to drink more water, and that will be my goal for the month of November. December....I will just try not to eat myself to death!! lol

ok guys....i will be back in a few days...hopefully! Thanks Amber for checking in on me! Hope everything is good with you & Linda and everyone else here on the WISH!! I miss you guys too!

love ya!

I'm glad your DS is doing well. I hope he's a good "boy" for a while. :wizard:

Take care, girl!

Hey, Marie! Glad to hear from you! I agree with Kim, you don't suck! I've been VERY absent from my journal as well. I came and said, "I'm here & I'm gonna do better" and then dropped off the face of the earth again.

Congratulations on 17 years!! :cheer2: :cheer2:  DH & I haven't been together quite that long, but I agree. He is my best friend and I hope that it always stays that way! Glad you guys were able to get a little time away together!

I understand taking the house off the market for now. It does seem like a lot of stress. Plus if you take it off and put it back on later you are likely to have better results. People see that a house has been on the market awhile and they start to think 1) somethings wrong with it or 2) they can get a GREAT deal. You don't really want them thinking either. Hang in there! The right time will come!

I am trying to do better at posting & checking in these days because I KNOW how bad the Holidays can be on our figures! I agree that my main goal through December is just NOT to gain weight! :thumbsup2 Sure losing would be fab, but at least I want to stay the same.

I'll be checking on you :goodvibes I want to hear that you are drinking your water and staying at or below 158! (How's that for pressure? :thumbsup2 )

Have a Wonderful weekend!!

Ok...let's play catch up~

We survived Thanksgiving...hope you all did too!!
In-laws came and we had a really good time!! Shopped, ate, and shopped some more!!!
DH & I got a new kitchen table & chairs....LOVE IT!!!! It's a pub table w/ 6 and it's so frickin' awsome!!! I wanted some new dishes so DMIL & DMOM got them for me....match the kitchen perfect!!
Today, DH & I went to Linens & Things and I found 6 placemats & cloth napkins that match the kitchen as well!! I've never had placemats before!! :thumbsup2
We also got a big framed mirror for the bathroom...it's really pretty and will give that bathroom a finished look.

Guess it's a good thing the house didnt' sell....I'm really liking it now! lol

Anyway, gotta start getting ready for Christmas now!! DD wants to put up the tree next weekend....I guess that would be ok. We'll see.

Oh, DH wants to get me the Wii Fit for Christmas....he actually think's I'd use it!! :rotfl2:

silly, silly man!!! I'd rather have a treadmill...you can hang clothes up on it!! :lmao:

talk to ya'll soon!!!

Hey, Marie. Glad to see you survived Thanksgiving and actually sound like you had a nice time.

I have been shopping like crazy since Friday too. I didn't get new plates, but did get a new flatware set (well, I'll get it at Christmas anyway). I'm really excited about it also. I am glad that the house seems to be coming together and that you are making the best of still being in it. :goodvibes

We started our decorations today by putting up the Christmas trees. They are fake though so they can be up awhile. I take it you guys are going with a real tree since you are hesitant to put it up?

Well, have a great Christmas season! :wizard: Try not to eat too much of the bad stuff :thumbsup2

Come January I'm gonna start bugging you to get back on track with me (not that I'm on track now, but that I will be getting there then) So be getting ready :thumbsup2

Oh, and come January....I'm really gonna have to hit it hard....40 is March 8!! :sad1:
