When we were in Epcot on Dec. I overheard someone saying that Chefs de France was going to be changed to a Ratatouille Restaurant. Has anyone else heard this rumor and is there any truth to it?

I have not heard that. I did at one point here they may do a Ratatouille eatery at Pixar Place at DHS

There have been rumors for quite awhile that Chefs de France was going to be renovated, it needs it and since the restaurant in Italy has been done I'm sure it will be soon. I'm not so sure it will be changed to a Ratatouille seem to restaurant though since it is a high end restaurant that's not really intended for children. Making it a child friendly restaurant would probably reduce the restaurants earning potential significantly.

We have a Ratatouille themed restaurant at DLP, it's a buffet, but I don't really see that happening at Epcot. All those table service restaurants want to "image" themselves as higher end restaurants. That doesn't fit well with a restaurant that is themed with rats...

Yeah, I could see this in DHS but not in WS. Although I loved the film I think if anything "reduced the restaurants earning potential" it would be putting the thought of rats in the kitichen in the minds of those eating there.

While it doesn't bother me, Ratatouille Disgusts my husband and he would never eat at a Restaurant with a Rat theme. He really has a problem with the idea. Hee Hee!

chef's is an outsourced restaurant and I would doubt that the chefs that run both restaurants in that building would want to do anything themed to a disney movie. I think something like that would be much better at DHS somewhere in pixar place. there is alot of room behind al's toybarn if they clear out the backlot tour stuff.

Now this one makes more sense than the coaster, but you and I have been down this road.

Not if they keep the prices high!;)
