Hi,
My hubby and I will be taking our first cruise on May 18th-25th. I am very interested in the "Art of Entertaining" course. Has anyone done this, and if so, how was it? Also, Can someone tell me approx. what times these classes are offered? I want to make sure I don't book other activities during those times. Thanks!

Did it, loved it, and would do it again! This is offered on your days at sea. The morning programs are close to an hour long. They have a cooking show....one doing appetizer, one a dessert, and one a main course. You get to taste each course along with a matched wine or champagne. On the last day, you also get the recipes which are wonderful. Be sure you get there early and get a front seat. It's hard to see what is going on in the mirror above the chef. The afternoon programs are things like napkin folding and plate decorating. I didn't go to these, as our ds (2) needed to take a nap then. Also, on the last day at sea, we got an invitation to tour the galley....fairly interesting. Chef Martin was new the week we went in January, and it took a while for us all to warm up to him. One of the fun things is to make the salmon recipe from the ship here at home......and it takes us back............I would also recommend the Stem to Stern Wine tasting class offered on the same days, sometimes at the same time. That you need to buy tickets for (I think about $14). Dh did that with friends and loved it.....he learned a lot..
