View Full Version : Where is a good place to sell scrap supplies (besides Ebay)?

I need a message board where I can list scrap supplies -- and everyone I've come across has a minimum post count. I just don't have the time to post 100 posts at a new place... I don't feel like doing Ebay... and I have tubs and boxes of stuff sitting in my living room right now! Cleaned out the scrap stash and sent the scrap table to the shed! Made room for the new elliptical trainer instead. (hey that rhymes!)

So now I have tons of paper and cardstock and embellies and what not. I don't even know if I want to photograph everything... ugh.... but I need to get rid of it before my DH decides to just toss it all out!

How about Craig's List? Do you have that in California?

Does Etsy do that kind of thing?

Ebay is a rough way to go with having to take photos of individual things. So what about doing groups of a grab bag style and selling them for a set fixed price. Like whatever you can comfortably stick in a flat rate box.

There is a trading thread on the Budget board. If you were willing take things like Disney items or Disney dollars, that would be a simple way to go.

Well, now I hadn't even though of trading, but I'm definitely open... who can't use Disney Dollars!

I have done the Craigslist thing before with other stuff, and it brings out some really scary people...

Hmmm... the grab bag idea is a bit more appealing... then I'm not sending out a package of this and a little of that.

For those that PM'd me, I don't have a ton of Disney stuff... I have some rubber stamps, punches, embossing stencils... some stickers, but mainly it was general scrapping. Lots of page kits (I subscribed to the ScrapRoom for a couple years), and lots of single sheet nice name-brand stuff.... quite a bit of Bazzill in various colors too. I guess I could grab-bag the embellies (ribbon, Primas, eyelets, etc).

It's a sad sad thought - how much this pile of stuff is worth!

Let me get together a list and I will let you know when I've got it put together... maybe if someone here wants it, i will have less to have to sell elsewhere.

My LSS had a scrapbook yard sale. The ladies who participated moved a TON of stuff and it was fun, too.

When I was first getting into scrapping I bought some grab bags from e-bay from one lady - she did themed stuff and also bags fo just paper and cardstock. I can't remember her name but if you search e-bay you'll get an idea - and it saves all the photographing!:thumbsup2

Do you have/did you used to belong to a scrap circle or go to a class? When my friend stopped doing Tupperware she had an open house and invited all her old customers to buy up her stock - someone even bought her consultant bags :rotfl:

As long as it is trading, we can do it here. Maybe some Disney T-Shirts, hats or toys for your little ones?

I'm in a similar boat here. I signed up to be a TLC consultant but quit after a year as nothing was shifting. Now I have a ton of ex-stock lying about and I just can't get rid of it! Tried ebay but was losing more on fees than I was selling, debating about Etsy myself.

I think Queenie, Princess Jayne and Mazda need to have a mini meet to exchange their unused items.

OMG, I have so much stuff that I'm not using and would definitely consider trading for disney dollars like that!!!!!

Maybe we should start our own "for trade" listing on this board.

I'm holding some stuff ready for the emebllishment box, but being a collector means nothing is unused:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

But a trade board would be good....offers for a Prince Charles teatowel anyone? :rolleyes1 I might even have a 1981 Royal Wedding mug around somewhere ;)
