Goodings Grocery Price List ~ anyone been lately?

PS: I AM WRITING FOR GOODINGS PRICES ONLY ~ I DO NOT WANT A DEBATE ON HOW EXPENSIVE GOODINGS IS ~ NOT INTERESTED IN OTHER STORES RIGHT NOW ~ THANKS.

Deb's site lists prices for several grocery stores by Disney (including Goodings) http://wdwig.com/grocery.htm
As you know (but others reading this thread might not) Goodings tends to be expensive (in exchange for its close proximity). If I'm only buying a few items I'll go for the close location but sometimes I'm not sure if Goodings is any cheaper than buying the items at a mini-mart or even in the store in the resort.

I was thinking that Goodings might have to come down in their prices. A new Winn Dixie has opened just up the road from Goodings which might put some pressure on them. I went to the Winn Dixie last time I was there and it was very nice and the people that worked there seemed nice.

How much farther in Winn Dixie from Goodings? I remember driving to Goodings from CBR thinking it was only a couple minutes away. It seemed we drove and drove and drove and we were about to turn around until we did come to Crossroads. Sandra

Here's a price for you Thomas Bagels (non frozen kind) $2.89- 3.29

Hate to say it but Goodings is normal priced for stores in my town.

Yeah! I didn't see the HUGE price differences either. We went to a Publix and that Super Walmart too, so I did get to compare. I liked Goodings ~ it was close and they had the things I was looking for. We got a ton of stuff for $50, lasted us the week! S

Can you give me directions from Goodings to the new Winn Dixie? How about when you leave the Goodings/restraurants area and are at the light facing the Lake Buena Vista area hotels - do you turn left or right? Does Winn Dixie sell beer? Thanks so much for the help!:)

I read a post here recently on the NEW Winn Dixie store..I guess when you come to the lights at DD take a right, go straight to the next light, take a left @ the lights.
If you were to continue straight through this set of lights you'd come to Gooding...So instead take a left and I guess Winn Dixie is up a little ways on the right...

Oh Dear! I am not the greatest at directions, but here goes.

From whereever you are go to Hotel Plaza Drive. (That is the road with the Hilton, Courtyard etc. on it just across for Downtown Disney). At the end of that road you can go straight into the shopping plaza with Goodings. Go left! You will pass several hotels (I know the SHearton is one of them) and the entrace to something like Vista Plaza hotels and the Winn Dixie will be on your left in a newer shopping plaza area. I think there are 3 lights, but don't hold me to that.

I was just wondering if Goodings is w/in walking from DD (would be only picking up a few items)???

I think it would be a long walk from DD. I remember the drive was longer than I figured it would be. Lots of stop and go at lights. S
