We just flew from Orlando on Friday on US Airways.
We were directed to use a computer check-in station since we had e-tickets...I just wanted to share----It was great!
We saved soooo much time at the airport and there was no line---this was at 10am. I would recommend it to anyone with an e-ticket.

Tell me more, I'm confused! Is this for checking in without checking luggage?

We had 3 bags to check.
When you step up to the computer, you have to enter a credit card---it locates your e-ticket after you swipe your credit card(it doesn't have to be the credit card you used to purchase your ticket).
Then it asks the generic questions about your bag and has anyone given you anything.
After that, it asks how many bags to check---it prints out the tags and the boarding pass pops out.
A rep helped label our bags and sent them on their way.
It took 5minutes and there was no line.
The regular check-in line was to the door.

Hope this helps---it worked out great!

We did the same thing with American a couple of trips ago, and it was awesome! The curbside and inside check-in lines were loooong, but the E-ticket kiosks were virtually deserted. It was so nice & simple, and it saved a lot of time. I definitely recommend it!

Continental has the same thing. It is fabulous. We waited about 2 minutes in Orlando & that was at Christmas!

We flew Delta last week. Check in was not fun! We waited 45 minutes in Houston to check our bags.

Does anyone know if Northwest has the computer check-in service? I'd love to give it a try!

Some airports for Northwestern had electronic check in. I would check the NWA web site. I know they do in Detroit.

You also can use your frequent flyer card to check in. My business buys my tickets and I used my ff card at the airport to check in. You are right, you are on your way in minutes. Also with USAirways you get FF miles for checking in this way.

Wow. That sounds wonderfully convenient.
Thanks for the info.

Our last trip (on Southwest) ...was not to Orlando but to West Palm Beach, and both travel days were endless "hurry up and wait in lines"...to check bags, to get thru security to the departure gate, then there another wait for the Soutwest cattle-herd boarding procedure.
Great vacation, but the lines were looooong !

According to the Delta website (delta.com/kiosk) they only have this service for those with CARRY ON luggage.

Would anyone know if you can check in at a USAir kiosk with a frequent flyer ticket and an E-Ticket?
