Will the master be back? I was so excited when he made his appearance in the last series. I had forgotten all about him.. My DS didn't understand why I was so excited! Bless him. I love Doctor Who, and sometimes it is so scary. I took me a while to work out that all the episodes are inter-linked, and the plot with the face of Bo was great.

I caught a bit of brekfast TV this morning with a white blobby thing coming out of someone's tummy. What is this?

As Far as I am aware there is no Master in this series, The little blobby things are people fat after taking a 'pill' and are called the 'ADIPOSE' and are very cute indeed.

Story 'arch' before were BAD WOLF TORCHWOOD YOU ARE NOT ALONE, this one is......

DONNA NOBLE She is the story Arch

and

DAVROS is back for a big Dalek battle at the end of the series which sees a lot of the Doctors Friends come back to help.

I thought the critters were cute and the whole episode was well done. Are we going to keep seeing glimpses of Rose? What part of never being in the same universe again didn't make sense - how do they get round that with credibility?

Catherine Tate was better than hoped for.

I thought the episode was a great start to the series. I was worried when I first saw the Adipose in this week's Radio Times, but they were really effective in the show. Catherine Tate is a superb addition to the cast, and the scene where she and the Doctor reunite was hilarious.

Rose was a complete shock-I like it when the papers keep things secret and we have the chance to be genuinly surprised. Grumpy thinks this isn't Rose at all but The Rani from the Classic Series-she was a female Time Lord, played by Kate O Mara. I think he needs to lie down!

Looking forward to The Ood, Sontarans and especially the story behind 'The Doctor's Daughter' in episode 6!

Trying to work out the Rose bit myself, she seemed to be guiding Donna to be with the Doctor, trying to ensure he has someone for now, she faded back like the, void buttons they had in doomsday, and the parting of the ways.

I understand not much time has passed on her side of the void, but a few years here, remember she works for Torchwood in the parrell world,

Now one thing I have read is Dalek Khan has gone to find his maker, and they are rebuilding the Daleks again, maybe somehow getting them out of the void, now if they can do that, it may open up other holes between the two and Rose can come over to warn the Doctor.

I guess Rose will now appear in the 'current day on Earth' ones.

CT. Most reports on previews say she is good throughout, and there is a back story on Donna that will come out, the same as Martha, remember Vote Saxon, well there is something about Doona and she is only around this series.

Rose. She did look sad, but it was, as if she knows what is coming, She will help Donna and Martha later in the series, more like a watcher and protector, sad she cannot travel with the Doctor, but pleased he has someone with him.

Oooo it was such a shock seeing Rose. How can she move between the pararell worlds? If she can come to us, why can't the doctor get to her. They need to get back together and have a little doc!!

My DS reckons, that she is the master's misses in disguise.

Her hair didn't look real, it looked a bit stange. Is it just women that notice these things?

Well the Doctor now thinks its impossible since he did it in 'The key of time' and the time lords were killed off, so he doesn't know about Rose as yet.

Now I think someone is getting the Daleks out of the void, and Rose has noticed this, due to her 'telepathic' link with them, from her past encounters.

Like Mickey came through when the Cybermen were jumping across the void, maybe Rose is as well, thats my take on it, I know the Daleks are back for 11/12/13, and 11 is the Doctor light one when Rose helps Donna find the Doctor,

She did look sad, nearly crying, didn't notice her split ends!

Funny I watched it again on BBC3 tonight and this time when Donna and the Doctor first see each other and lip read, we all put new words in..they were.

FACE...BOOVERED...LOOK AT MY FACE, DO YOU THINK I AM BOOVERED.

I like it that time, its back to 6.45pm this Saturday, but early again the following week, as BBC1 and ITV have a new battle, ITV have Mr and Mrs, I think DW will beat that well, then Britain's got Talent (Simon hasn't) against Oliver, thats too close to call.

Guess I'd better give this thread a good bumpy wumpy. ;) :lmao:

Last nights was alright. Kinda better than last weeks (well, no cute fat monsters :rotfl: ) because it was a real adventure. And they did emotional bits, but they did it to the right amount; not so much I got bored, not too little to avoid the point. That and, Evil cults, psychic powers, a true Sci Fi tale! :lmao:

Donna appears to be the more 'We have to save them!' kinda assistant. She may not be ABLE to but she'll nag the doctor to death about it anyway. :lmao: Rose had little to no idea what she was doing half the time, but always did her best and cared alot, and Martha HAD some idea of what she was doing because she was a Doctor. Donna appears to be a mix; she has the blind wondering aboutness that Rose had but some maturity that Martha had. But as they say.. A Jack (No pun intended ;)) of all trades masters none. And that's probably what'll happen to poor Donna.. Bring on Rose and Martha is what I say!

My parents kept laughing at jokes that just went over my head. :confused3 Must be why I didn't laugh THAT much. But still, it was OK. Can't wait till the Ood Next week! :)

I really enjoyed last nights one, you could tell it was a different writer to RTD, more suspence, more thoughful drama but still good comedy, the water pistol and the T G MAXimus jokes, loved it, it was up there again with great episodes.

The Overnight Ratings are in for 4.2: The Fires of Pompeii.

Overnight Ratings show that the episode achieved 8.1m viewers with a 36.7% audience share.

Doctor Who was the second most-watched programme on Saturday, being beaten by Britain's Got Talent, which achieved 8.8m viewers.

First, an apology for being so lax in replying to this thread. My excuses (in no particular order) - holiday, too much catching up to do when got back from holiday and spending hours talking about how I am going to be a mummy!

Anywho, (and please don't flame me), I hated the first episode. I just thought it was dreadful and so far out of the realms of possibility - plus, I can't take to Catherine Tate at all. But, I will definitely agree that the adipose were just adorable.

Conversely, I loved this week's episode! I thought it was really old school Doctor Who, even down to the costuming, and those are my favourite sorts of episodes. My only complaint was that the language didn't seem to fit the period.

Thank you for all of your posts, very interesting.

Tonights was high drama (apart from the''Are you calling me a Miss, do I look like a Miss,'' Catherina Tate show).Though provoking , well written drama, with undertones of Holocaust, Slavery, and Humans not coming out well, but rather the oppressors this time.

Nice to find out more about the Ood, and the Doctor to right the wrong of last time when he couldn't help the Ood.

In the end rather than being a monster, you really feel very sorry for them.

More undertones of Rose, and the end coming, more comment about where have the Bees all gone, -they pollinate our crops, so food chain issue, may come out with next weeks more with the poisoned sky.

Unit seem to be in full fighting mode and with Martha helping them, interesting to see, how Martha and Donna-kebab first meet up.

Today's ep looked good. Nice to see the Ood again. But the brain thing.. :scared: At least the ood are free...

The one thing i disliked was the song thing they said. I think they just admitted he's leaving now... Which is a real shame really..... We all love DT and although his replacement will probably be good we have no idea.

Mind you, same thing with Rose eh? :rotfl2: Speaking of that, Martha next week, and look, she's grown up! :lmao:

I don't think he is leaving, this is another 'you are not alone' type thing, DT is signed up for the three specials in 2009, and has just filmed the Christmas 2008 special with the Cybermen.

I think its about the Doctor being taken by Davros in episode 11, and he is 'killed' in 12 or 13 by the Daleks. But think of the 'oncoming storm' before for-told in 2012 Stratford for the Olympics. Also Rose introducing her last episodes, 'this is how I died,' in fact registered as missing and presumed dead by many inc Captain Jack.

Next week:-

Saturday 26 April
6:20pm - 7:05pm
BBC1
The Sontaran Stratagem
Martha Jones summons the Doctor back to modern-day Earth, but an old enemy lies in wait.

Two part with the poison sky.

Yes, very well written !!!!

Thats one of the things I like about it it is SciFi, but also can be Comedy, then go drama, then be highly moral, but doesn't take it self too seriously.

And good 'family' entertainment, rare nowadays that everyone can watch something together, and then discuss afterwards.

Thanks, Andrew :goodvibes

I enjoyed this week's episode again. I loved them being on a completely new planet and showing the Ood as wronged beings instead of monsters. I have to say I was utterly confused in parts but this could be attributed to pregnancy fatigue!

I am still not a member of the Donna Noble fan club and am looking forward to seeing Martha Jones again (so long as her mum doesn't make an appearance!) I am soooooo excited about sontarans next week! They looked great in the trailer, true to the originals but a bit beefed up as well.

First episode was good. Love the Adipose, waiting for the toy to come out (someone's selling handmade Adipose's on eBay)

Second episode was awesome. I liked the fact that the characters were in our GCSE Latin text books.

Third episode was also awesome. the ending was a bit creepy. Also noticed something the Ood did at the end. So I tried making a picture of it, but it's a bad edit...

Well we saw the clone of Martha, and we were left on a cliffhanger, reports I have read say maybe Rose comes out of the green goo?

I enjoyed the pace of this one, was realy fast moving and with a cliffhanger, like good old Doctor Who, you always had those every Saturday night, in a 4 or 6 part story.

I loved that ep! It's nice to see the Sontarans again. And they look more menacing somehow. Despite the new-series-changing-everything kinda style, the Sontarans look the same, and yet, MORE of a menace. Must be the whole 'taking over the world' kinda bit. We've only had them for a few episodes, even in the CLASSIC series, and well, they hardly did anything. Scout for weaknesses, that's about it before the Doctor got involved. Now they actually are DOING something! With good results.

Nice to see Martha again too. :) Nice to see she hasn't totally lost her marbles. I expect lots of explosions in the next ep. :lmao: Mind you, I thought the Child Genius sounded a lot like Jack. :rotfl2:

I loved this week's episode, but as a fan of the sontarans, I think it was pretty obvious that I would! My DH thought it was the best episode so far in the "new" Doctor Who.

I somehow missed the fact that this was a two parter and was gutted when it finished and I realised I would have to wait until next week to find out the conclusion. However, I can't say I'm disappointed that we get another episode choc full of sontarans!

I love the clever use of ordinary objects as terrifying - it's a good job I didn't see this before we went to LA as I would have been running away from the sat nav!

Great summary, yes I loved this episode, I watched it again on BBC3 last night, the use of everyday items is becoming a feature of the new DW, Mobile phone ear pieces, statues, and now Sat Navs, and we haven't even seen the Bees yet.

Maybe Sontarans do not like them.

Guess who nicks the Tardis tonight, with Donna inside,????

Digital spy say some of these might happen:-

Donna's mother Sylvia wields an axe.

The Sontarans steal the Tardis.

UNIT prepare to launch a nuclear strike.

Donna kills a Sontaran via the probic vent and booms out "back of the neck!"

The Valiant is put to good use by Colonel Mace.

The current whereabouts (and official title) of Alastair Lethbridge-Stewart are revealed.

Donna punches the real Martha in the face - believing her to be the clone.

Boris Johnson, interupts the war, on a bendy bus.

4.7: The Unicorn and the Wasp

In 1926, Agatha Christie disappeared for 10 days. Was it amnesia? A nervous breakdown? Or a Giant Alien Wasp..?

As Russell T Davies's Bafta Award-winning time-travelling drama continues, the Doctor and Donna join forces with the world's most famous crime novelist to encounter a body in the library, poisoned cocktails and a Vespiform seeking revenge.

David Tennant plays the Doctor and Catherine Tate plays his companion Donna Noble, with guest stars Felicity Kendal and Fenella Woolgar.

It was a great show, lots of SciFi effects, very believable views, did you catch the quick glimpse of Rose when the Doctor opened up communications with the Sontarans, only there for a second, now over to the riddle of his daughter, (Peter Davisons real daughter).

I loved this week's! It was awesome! Lots of laughs, lots of action, lots of sci fi! A True Episode! The only downside was that Donna has proved to be a bad assistant. Doctor gave her hints to use the phone, and she just goes :confused3 . Even Mickey was smarter than her!!! :lmao: Oh well. We got Martha with us now. :teeth: It's a shame that she changed.. I mean, she had to be DRAGGED with us. :lmao: But still. Maybe she'll stay. :)

RTD has said there's been a theme per ep that adds up to the whole thing instead of a clue word. But I don't know what's in this week but there were so many other references. 'Are you my mummy?' (Which I :lmao: to death at), Doctor's Hand, the Valiant, Rose saying 'Doctor' in the Tardis, References to Martha's Family (again), 'End of Days' - the name of the Torchwood Finale in Series 1 ... I'm sure there are more but WOAH.. information overload. I hope RTD reveals what the 'theme' is soon or i'll go nuts!! :lmao:

I enjoyed this week's episode, though I was a bit disappointed that the sontarans wanted an earth full of sontarans - a bit too reminiscent of the cybermen for me.

I agree with Matt - Donna is a useless assistant! She isn't brave like Rose or intelligent like Martha, not sure what she adds to be honest. Glad Martha is along for the ride for a bit longer.

I was very excited to see Rose appearing briefly in the screen :yay:

I am going to take a lot of convincing about the Doctor having a daughter...but will reserve judgement until I've seen the episode.

Good summary, I think his daughter is to do with his chopped off hand. So torchwood, The Master, or did someone have it before Cptn Jack.

OK

This has been posted on Digital spy, its very interesting, now we do not know if its completely true or not, but parts of it fit in , IE Davros, the library, Donna being the series arch.

If its true is a great end to the series, if not this person should be a writer on Doctor Who. I actually hope its true, well written.

Former PM Harriet Jones, is consumed with rage that the Doctor was responsible for her getting deposed, when she blew the Sycorax from the sky.

Her rage is only fueled, when she learns that the Doctor took no such action against Harold Saxon, who, exactly one year later; gave the order to blow the Racnos from the sky.

Her own investigations unerath the true nature of Harold Saxon, (ie: that he is the Time Lord known as 'The Master') and beleives that the Doctor, allowed him to destroy the Racnos unpunished, was some sort of special TimeLord dispensation.

Having stowed-away on the Valiant, (during the events of 'Last Of The Time Lords'), she has witnessed the entire 'year that never was', and now knows the power that the TimeLords posesses. She lusts for this power, for herself.

She also witnesses the Master reminissing with the Doctor, about the time the Doctor 'Sealed the Medussa Cascade', before the Master finally dies.

She steals the Masters ring from his funeral pire, and is soon overwhelmed by the sound of drums herself. But unlike the derranged Master; Harriet Jones knows immediately what the sound represents - and from where it originates.

An army of unimaginable size exists, beating down the walls between realities, tearing open the fabric of the universe in an attempting to escape thier prison, buried as they have been beneath the Medusa Cascade, imprisoned since the closing moments of the time war; sealed outside of time and space, as even the time lords were aware of it.

They have had countless eons to act, to swell thier numbers into a vast unstoppable force, lead, by Davros - who is using the ring, and Harriet as his weapon outside of the cascade to actualise thier escape.

In Roses' alternate reality, the universe is splintering at a much faster rate. As the head of Torchwood London, she is well aware of exactly what is happening - but has no idea how to stop it. So she, along with her family, friends and a new boyfreind, set about desperately trying to reach the Doctor, through the fractures opening between in realities.

The Doctor & Donna, in the meanwhile have visited a Library, millions of years in the future which documents the events of all past generations lives. Though the Doctor warns her against it, curiosity gets the better of her, and she reads her own life story - which according to the volume, ends when she is / was killed by the Racnos.

She doesn't know what to make of it, as obviously, she didn't die. She went to Egypt and later hooked up with the Doctor. She waits her moment, and then goes to ask the Doctor what it means - just as he completely vanishes in front of her eyes, tron from Reality.

Donna is left utterly alone onboard the Tardis, as it hurtles out-of-control through time and space. She is petrified and doesn't know what to do.

When suddenly, an (un)familiar face appears on screen.

It's Rose. She has finally managed to get a signal through a fracture in reality, but she's too late, as it is after the Doctor has completely vanished.

Donna & Rose stuggle desperately to use the Tardis, to draw the Doctor back on board, using Roses' knowledge from having 'been' the embodiment of the Tardis, and Donna's sketchy 'driving lessons'. Throughout, they are thwarted in thier attempts by different realities colliding and splintering around them. We see a variety of realities play out, including what would have happened to them both, had neither met the Doctor.

Eventually, they manage to get the Doctor back to the Tardis. He had been sucked beneath the Medusa Cascade, by Davros and his new allie, Harriet Jones, who has orchestrated he and his Armys' (the Children Of Time) escape. She has taken her place at Davros' side, partially converted into a Red Dalek, so that they can rule over all realities and create an evil empire, everlasting.

At this point, realities are becoming indistinguishable. Thwarted enemies of old, who have conquored and won in alternate realities, are back in our reality. So too are the Tylers & Mickey.

At this point, Captain Jack & Sarah-Jane turn up, desperate to stop the hell on Earth that is being unleashed.

But Harriet & Davros have one more Ace up thier sleeve. Donna - who has rushed to save Wilf and Sylvia.

Both however are dead at the hands (?) of Daleks when she arrives at her house.

In flashback, we see that During her entrapment by the Racnos, Donna was bitten by a Metebelis spider, which fuses itself to its' Victims spines and becomes invisible, controling the actions of those it posesses. With no Empress to give it's life direction, the spider has simply lain inactive, until the moment an Alternative worlds' Racnos Empress emerged into this reality.

The Racnos Empress is quickly swayed to join forces with Davros & Harriet, in order to double-cross the Doctor from the inside - and rule alongside them.

The Doctor knows that the only means of defeating the fate that awaits them; every universe colliding, and finally imploding, killing everyone from every reality - means reaching the Medusa Cascade.

When the others press him as to what they must do once they reach it, he is evasive - simply insisting that the important thing is that they get there.

Donna, under Racnos control double crosses them at every given opportunity; which the Doctor soon suspects. He manages to partially injur the spider, but knows that to kill it would mean killing Donna too. And this, he wont do. He feels enormous guilt for ruining her life as well, and promises her that he will get her through this one way or other.

Upon reaching the Cascade, the gang are eager to close the rift; but the Doctor suddenly falters.

He breaks down. The only way to do this is by offering it a Human Life. Something which the Doctor hesitantly, and ashamedly admits, he has had to do once before, in order to end the time war.

He confesses that he and Dr. Grace Holloway (his compannion before Rose) threw themselves into the Medussa Cascade. It was meant to kill them both, only the Cascade spat him out. Badly injured, his body regenerated, and he awoke, alone, drifting through space. (We see both Paul McGann and Christopher Eccleston in flashback.)

It took him almost 9 years to find his way back to the Tardis, in which time, he had found the strength to go on.

He looks to everyone who's lives he has touched, and destroyed around him - each of them with so much to live for - yet each of them offering thier own life, in order to seal the rift.

They begin fighting to be the one to do it.Jackie & Sarah Jane stating thier age as the reason. Jack his inability to die otherwise. Finally, one voice rings out over all the others.

Naturally, it's Donnas'. She explains that she doesn't feel she has anything to live for. She's badly injured and doesn't want to spend the next 60 years with half a dead spider hanging off her back. That's she's not a 'hero' like everyone else. She's just an office worker from Chiswick that wanted to travel. She doesn't head an important oranisation that keeps people safe. She doesn't know anything about aliens or time travel or anything important. She now also has no family to return to. The Doctor knows where she's going with this, and tries to object - but she quickly shuts him up, as only Donna can. She thanks the Doctor for giving her the chance to see that world. The Universe. All universes. To experience those things. To do this one thing, in her whole life, that is truely, truely important.

She kisses him tenderly on his tear stained cheek, giving him one last affectionate insult before smiling gently, and then slowly falls backward into the Cascade, sealing it with her death.

All realities are immediately restored to the exact point that Donna was meant to have died at the hand of the Racnos Empress.

Captain Jack & Sarah Jane return to thier lives, and Rose and the Tylers are forever sealed in the alternate universe.

The Doctor is plagued by guilt at the sacrifice that Donna has made for him. He vows that he will make it up to Donna, as she embodied everything he fought for in ever defending the human race. How someone, who thought themselves so very ordinary, could commit an act of such extraordinary selflessness and bravery.

So for Donna, and Donna alone, he will break one of the fundmental rules of the time lords.

He goes back in time, just 24 hours further back and plucks Donna from her time stream, He destroys the Racnos Empress ship in Space and gets Jack to retcon Donna, leaving her with no recollection of what happened, and thus will never try to find him, to, in essence, repeat events.

She'll simply live out her life as she'd always intended, traveling the world and living out the great suburban dream.

The Doctor lands in Donna's street. Wilf, who is sick at home; unable to attend her wedding, see the Tardis land and rushes outside, to find Donna being lead, groggy from Retcon back to the House. He immediately realises the Doctor is an alien, and asks to know what happened.

'Don't worry Wilf', the Doctor says quietly 'She'll never remember a thing.'

He allows Wilf to guide Donna back into the House alone, and returns to the Tardis.

He looks sadly upon Donnas house, and watches for a moment through the window, as Wilf fusses over her and makes her a cup of tea.

He closes the Tardis Door, and it evetually fades from view.

well, it kept showing the doc's hand in tonights episode, and his daughter has now regenerated.

I know the Master is out there somewhere. Who was it who put on his ring at the end of the last series. Was it Rose or the docs daughter? I can't remember if it showed her fave. But she had nail varnish on.

I don't understand the post about the episodes linking together. Can someone explain a bit more pls.

On the 'ring'' side the view is Harriet Jones took it, but I think we have seen the start of another spin off series.

The Jenny-Doctor Adventures.

Last night's beat expectations actually! I will admit I thought it was going to be very silly going in (we all said how many minutes till someone wondered where his daughter came from. I did laugh when someone suggested that Capt. Jack would be the mother. :lmao: ) but it turned out to be a nice ep. Lots of action, lots of emotional issues... Alrighty. :teeth:

The one thing I disliked was a lack of Martha. With Donna and the Doctor's Daughter she got pushed to the side. Which was a shame really.. And well, I liked Martha but ever since she's been all "I've got to go" I can't stand her. She's like a Traitor to Doctor Who! :lmao: And with Rose, I'd miss her more if it weren't for the fact she's ditched us for a year. So erm, I hope she comes back in a good way or I'll be looking for a new companion. :lmao:

Is it just me or does the Doctor seem a tad shell shocked? Well, with Rose in another world, Donna (originally) and Martha leaving him, and the Master and Jenny 'dieing' in his arms, who can blame him really.. We shall see.

Agatha Christie ep kinda looks blurgh, but you never know. Might be good.....

Oh and to let you know, I decided to be a good boy and try and not look up spoilers.. So erm, thanks for the big post Emporer Dalek but I er, didn't look. Sorry!

Well we do have bits of the jigsaw. (I think are you my mummy was a joke only)

Rose, (She was trying to warn/talk the Doctor Last night)
Where have the Bees all gone.
I understand 'Donna' is a link, a series arch.
The Doctors hand/ His daughter.
'Family.

Rose seems to be a big issue so I think they may drag everything back eventually. Bees I have noticed - Link to Agatha Christie? Donna could be but she's been in every ep. :lmao: And the Family bit has been noticed a lot. First there's the references to his own family and there's the fact they think that Donna and him are related...

It's just trying to see what's what. By episode 12 I think everyone will know what it is. :lmao:

Let's be fair, with a chant and everything it er, will happen always. They always have something for the children to mimic now. Kind of a downside of the series. ;)

Glad to see you agree with me on all that. :) I think each character had their own thing. Rose had Bravery, and Martha had Brains, like you said, and I think Donna has Heart. Which of course, makes her boring. :lmao:

My theory:

Rose has the Master's Time Ring, and has gone back to the Time War to affect the outcome to ensure the Doctor's people survive.

This meddling with a 'fixed point in time' is slowly destroying planets, or making them disappear-which has been aluded to in previous episodes.

I'm trying to work out how Donna will affect all this, with the clue we have had "There is something on your back". I assume this is a spider from Metabelis 3' (I think that was the planet they were from) but she has to tie in with the climax in some way.

As for Jenny-I was really cheesed off when she was killed as I thought it was a waste of potential (great actress, fantastic concept) but I was soon cheering when she re-generated and sped off to a potential spin-off series.

Great episode-and I love Donna-she's funny and smart and doesn't fawm over the Doctor-a refreshing change!

I think that because she was 'grown' from him rather than being his biological daughter she is kind of like Captain Jack - she has the ability to come back to life but she doesn't regenerate as such. There was also something about because the Doctor's hand was cut off soon after a regeneration he just grew another one rather than having to regenerate again. Maybe something similar happened with his daughter - one heart was enough to keep her 'alive' while she repaired her second one.

I loved this week's episode. I loved that the Doctor got to be so cheeky and fun in this one - he has had to be too serious recently, and I think DT's Doctor does cheeky best! I thought the monster could have been something a little less lame and more original, but it worked well all the same. I thought the actress who played Agatha Christie was excellent.

I was disgusted to hear that they are taking Doctor Who off next week for the Eurovision song contest :scared1:

Yes Stephen Moffat takes over the writer of many good episodes, I think DT will also go now after the 2009 Specials time for him to go, as well.

As we're half way through Series Four, we thought we would remind you of the titles for the forthcoming episodes of Doctor Who.
Unfortunately we're unable to reveal the title of episode 12 - as it's still top secret at the moment - but the rest of the episodes are as follows:

Episode 8: Silence in the Library - by Steven Moffat
Episode 9: Forest of the Dead - by Steven Moffat
Episode 10: Midnight - by Russell T Davies

Yes Stephen Moffat takes over the writer of many good episodes, I think DT will also go now after the 2009 Specials time for him to go, as well.

Oooo, I'm so pleased about this, all of my favourite episodes have been written by Stephen Moffat :yay:

OK BBC1 just ran a trailer of the rest of the series at 7pm, and everything we knew is confirmed, Daleks and lot of them back, Rose with guns, Davros is seen in the shadows coming forward, ( well half human half dalek,) and we see the stars going out like light being switched off, they cut in next weeks show as well.

The libary one I think will either be really corny or scary. We will see how this works out. :) Bring on Saturday!

Not sure if this will be of interest to any Who fans :):

The circular room where a lot of the action in last night's episode took place was filmed in what was, until fairly recently, the reference section of Swansea Central Library. The building was declared unfit for public use and uneconomical to refurbish as a library, but it's now been taken over by the art department of Swansea Metropolitan University, and we have a brand new Central Library that's been built about half a mile away.

I worked for Swansea Libraries for 14 years (although I was never based at Central, I did a couple of relief shifts there over the years) and youngest DD has just completed her Art Foundation course in the building attached to the old library. So last night's episode was of particular interest to me! :hippie:

Hello all, sorry didn't post but have watched the last two episodes the were really good, and I enjoyed the suspense.

Very well written for our new chief in charge of Doctor Who, and lots of questions raised from it.

David Tennant was on Andrew Marr this morning ,and confirmed after the next 2009 For specials he hasn't been asked as yet to continue with DW?

From next Saturday I think we see a run of episodes all linked up to the ending,

Thank you for keeping thread going in my absence.

so sorryto post again but was just so impressed by the last episode. The bit with Donna and her new family Reminded me of an epidsoe of star trekt TNG when Captain Pickard found a new family. Again it was a fantastic episode and confirmed to me that both Dr Who and ST TNG are awesome

I am just so impressed with this series. I cannot believe how good these episodes have been written but more than this how good Tennant and Tate are.

Cannot say how good this is without tears

The new title for this week is:-

Doctor Who and return of the Chav.:rotfl:

However, I read that 'if' you haven't warmed to Catherine Tate by now, you 'will' this Saturday with a terrific performance, yes Rose is back, but this is Donna's story, and as I have said all along Donna is the series connection this year.

The idea of this Doctor (very light) show, is that instead of turning one way and meeting the Doctor, what happened if she hadn't and turned the other way.

One person from a Paraell world comes to help out this 'wrong' world without the Doctor who is.....

Now that question get again...

Donna What is that on your back, and if the Doctor does survive, who will be given the death sentence????

It was a very good episode and made Catherine Tate look very good, yes Rose did sound different and on DW Confidentailk she sounded even more strange very unlike Bille piper, she must have had a lot of vocal training for her other programmes. She said she had to watch DVD's of herself before shooting this again as she forgot who to do Rose, - it shows.

Now we have the riddle complete,

For the next two weeks the season two part end will solve:-

The missing planets, in most episodes of this series Planets or moons have been mentioned as missing or lost.

The Bees have gone.

Bad Wolf

The Tardis Bell bang to ring danger

Jack, Sarah-Jane, Martha, Rose all back,

With Donna, who is very important the series connection,

And we know they are back the Daleks Davros, The Judoon, and who else,

I am a bit behind with two episodes to comment on now that I'm back from DLRP.

I really liked the previous week's episode with all the repeating, I thought it was really cleverly done and must have been hard work to get right. I was disappointed with the ending, however, seemed a bit of an anti-climax. I know I am in a minority, but I also liked it because it was Donna-lite!

Now this weeks, what a clever idea, showing what the world would be like without the Doctor, scary stuff, good job he is around to look after us! So pleased to see Rose back, but yeah seriously, but is up with her voice?! Sounded like she had just had a brace fitted.

Excited about next week's, especially as the Torchwood team are set to feature.

Firstly ,yes there is Episode 12 and 13 to come this and next week, then this Years Christmas special has already been filmed featuring (Cybermen), I have seen pictures in a cemetery,.

Then next year there are three specials of one hour each and then a Christmas special for 2009. David Tenant is in these.

These start to be filmed in January 2009, after DT's Hamlet.

The next full series is 2010.

Now I was wondering about the 'time' -Turn left episode, if the Doctor died in 2006, then he wouldn't have stopped Pompeii and those monsters would have taken over the world, also if he had died, Donna wouldn't have traveled with him to that fortune teller therefore it wouldn't have happened? A cycle.

Anyway Whose is stealing all those Planets,? What are the Jugdoon up to?

Whoose going to die?

and what price will the Red Dalek be in the toy shops?

Torchwood in 2009 gets a promotion to BBC1, with a five night special series shown in one week back to back.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ..Why god why?!

Rose Didn't do anything!!! ;) :lmao: Kidding... But seriously............ I don't want the Doctor to Diiiiiiiieeeee..... So er, for the next week, I'm going to eat Chocolate till I either find out who is replacing him, or, the much BETTER option of he admits he's staying. He was an awesome doctor and I sooo don't want him leave. He really made the character of the Doctor his own and it was so awesome! But.. I guess it's not the end of the world..... The next one might be better..... ...or........ could be worse. :(

I will admit though, what a Fantastic cliffhanger. ;) And a great episode. Loved seeing everyone together. I did think they'd do something with Computers, but I was hoping it'd be a bit more... BOOM-y ;) . I hope Donna doesn't die though, since I've warmed to her over these weeks.. And the Torchwood Gang too.. And well, Rose is great now that she's back, so i don't want her to die...... (even though a friend of mine said that waaay back, she was told she would die, but you never know..) And well... Martha I don't want to die, provided she admits she's wrong about ditching the Doctor and wants to come home. :teeth: I still think she's a traitor to Doctor Who atm. :lmao:

Great to see Harriot Jones back, I KNEW she was not evil! Now.. What are we gonna do about those Daleks? :lmao: And I guess the REAL question is not WHO is he gonna regenerate to... but.. IS he going to?

Fantastic episode. Was really gutted at the thought of DT going, but reading earlier threads it seems like he's staying.

The beating bit with Donna reminded me about the Master!

Why does it keep showing the Doc's hand in the jar. It must be significant to the regeneration.

Just watched confidential that RTD is very naughty saying he doesn't know what happens. If only I could get the keys to his house and then I'd be able to read the scripts.

I think the Doctor will end up staying as DT, summat to do with his hand in the jar, but whether or not we'll get an in between person while they figure out how to keep him as DT will be interesting..

Pesky Daleks!

Yes next Saturday 65 mins of Doctor Who, the Hand is very important, some DNA that hasnt been hit by a Dalek, and did you see Harriet Jones, being 'actually' killed? Mickey and Jackie are in it.

Editing as the DIS is in its own time warp,

Drums, Ladys hand, taking the masters ring? All the powers of tha ring?

Great episode! I wondered about the hand as it was shown again in that episode (maybe someone grabs it and shoves it at the regenerating doctor?) Hope the final episode lives up to expectations!

I've just thought as well, The Doctor's DNA daughter, Jenny, is still out there somewhere isn't she - perhaps she may have something to do with it - he still thinks she's dead at the moment....

And the curly haired woman from the library episode with the Tardis diary thing - could she be involved?
Do you guys know who she is? Could she be a regeneration of the The Doctor? Sorry, I'm a late joiner to this thread, so apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere already....

I've only just managed to watch our recording, and it was brilliant.

My grandson had taken great pleasure in shouting out to me that the Dr regenerated( ), so I was aware of that, but like you all hoping something intervenes, or a temporary Dr appears.

I read all the rumours thanks - I believe them all!!

Can't wait till Saturday, though I have to record it again!:sad2:

All interesting stuff, lots going on, my take,

The hand will merge with the Doctor During the regeneration and reset the Doctor back to himself, ending the hand cut off saga, and as its a one off he will have to regenerate next time.

I think Donna Dies and the Tardis, does have a problem!

Lastly I think the ultimate 'baddie' is not Davros, its Harriet Jones and this might even be some virtual reality and not real created by her to get her own back on the Doctor and all of his friends using the masters ring.

Mickey and co will also be aorund to help save the day.

Wow, I don't even know where to start. I LOVED this episode. I thought it was so clever showing all of the people the Doctor is linked to and what they were doing and then bringing them together. I loved especially that the Torchwood team were there. Where is K9 nowadays? Maybe I needed to watch the Sarah-Jane programme to know that.

I also suspect the hand will stop the Doctor from regenerating - they made sure we saw it clearly on screen plus I can't believe they could have kept a new Doctor a secret. And yes, I also thought here come the drums when Donna heard that beating noise.

I think Harriet Jones is pure evil, how else could the daleks know who she is?!

Really can't wait to see how it all pans out. And so happy to hear that Mickey the idiot is back too.

Now just in case you are out on Saturday, its 6.40pm for 65 mins Episodes 12/13 will be shown back to back next Sunday on BBC1, as well as the usual repeats on BBC3. You cannot miss these two!

An amazing finale. It was one of those 'I can't look down at my food for fear of missing anything' episodes. It kept me gripped throughout and didn't disappoint in any way (apart from Christopher Eccleston not re-appearing).

The human Doctor was a genius concept-and it was hilarious how he aped Donna, and ultimately killed all the Daleks-something that the alien Doctor would never do. Actually there are so many things of note to mention, I would be here forever, so I will skip to something that a lot of people thought would never happen.

We are all going to miss Donna!!!!!!!!! Catherine Tate was amazing, and the end of Donna's story was heartbreaking. After the crash and boom of the universe being in peril, it all comes down to a friendship ending and the death of a great character.

And if people missed the finale and just read that last paragraph, all is not as it seems-catch the repeat next Sunday-the best Doctor Who has EVER been!

I'm sorry to say I really didn't enjoy tonights episode at all.... I think it's because Rose has always got on my nerves.... (Please don't hate me!!).... I just thought it was poorly put together (You aren't meant to be able to touch Daleks are you?) and RTD did his usual trick of wiping the slate at the end so nothing might as well have happened....

What a brilliant episode. I loved the human doctor who mirrored Donna and Dr. Donna. I wasn't so bothered about the human doctor/Rose story at the end, but it was so sad when the Dr. had to wipe Donna's memory

Catherine Tate has been brilliant this series, and I'm sad to see her go

Looking forward to seeing who the new companion will be and what direction Steven Moffatt takes the series in.

Andrew DEREK UK
07-06-2008, 02:35 AM
Last year there were a succession of announcements concerning companions etc it the weeks following the series end, we had the confirmation of Martha going, Kylie doing the Christmas special, and then Catherin Tate, all within weeks, later Rose was confirmed as coming back.

Now This years Christmas special is 'in the can' already filmed and complete as DT is now in Hamlet until early 2009. No news came out about a companion on that one, so either they are good at keeping secrets or it isn't anyone who would be noticed by the press.

We know filming has taken place in a cemetery, and in snow/ winter weather.

I think with the 2009 Specials only starting to be filmed in January 2009, they might not have to make any annoucements as yet.

I personally would like to see the return of Jenny the Doctors Daughter, and the 'Masters Ring' to be resolved by RTD.

Ratings should be out later this morning, will DW top 10 million?

Well, I was disappointed by the finale actually.. I learnt beforehand what the 'big rumors' were, (thanks older brother) and so there wasn't any surprises for me.. (Although, Shocker about Donna!), and also.. it seemed too much like Star Wars for my opinion... I mean, as soon as I saw the Crucible, I thought Death Star, the Reality Bomb was their Death Star Cannon, Davros was acting like Emporer Palpatine, and they even managed to show scenes where they jumped to lightspeed AND where the 'Death Star' Blew up! :furious: But, it was fun watching, in some ways. I mean Everyone around the TARDIS console was just fun! It's a shame that Gwen/Ianto/Luke got left behind during all the action...

Despite everything, there appears to be something plucking at my heart strings... It's either total disappointment about everything or.... I miss Donna! I don't know why either, I mean, Rose was great compared to Donna and I knew about her, and Martha too. I guess not knowing someone is leaving makes things a bit harder eh? :lmao: Oh well, alls well that ends horribly badly in the Doctor Who Universe. At least the Daleks are Dead.. for now. :lmao:

Next year I am probably going to have Doctor Who Withdrawl Syndrome! I mean, Doctor Who is back only for SPECIALS, Torchwood is only back for a Week (Yay Mickey and Martha joining Torchwood, but it's unfair on Tosh and Owen having to die for them to get jobs. ;) Martha's still a Traitor in my eye btw, despite coming back. :lmao: ) and god only knows about Sarah Jane Adventures.. It's gonna be a long time...

At least I don't feel a complete idiot now I know someone else cried.

What a fantastic ending. I cried when the real Doc said goodbye to Rose,(alsways a sucker for those romantic scenes and then I cried bucketfull's again when he said sorry to Donna and wiped her memories.

I then watched Dr Who confidential and cried a whole lot more. Ready to watch it again tonight, so I can hear what's been said in all the bits when I was crying.

I was right about the hand having a big part in it all though. It was about the only bit I worked out.
