Cheapest Gatwick Airport Hotel

Can anyone give me any suggestions of a cheap airport hotel to stay at the night before our Virgin flight, we now think that we will check in the night before, now that it has re-opened as DH would love, just once, to have an extra leg room seat as at 6'5" he always suffers, but no matter how early (sometimes before check in opens) we get there we are never successful - any ideas!!!!!!!!

the cheapest weve found is the travelinn. it's 49.95 per room. the rooms are very big and they have a good resturant and bar . there is not not many hotels closer than this one, you can see the terminal building from the carpark.
