Hi, this is my first post so I hope I do this right! Anyway, I am going to the World in April 12-18 with a girlfriend-she will be at a conference during the day so am solo then. I am coming back Sept 23-27 solo. Would love to meet felllow Dis boarders!

I remember when that happened to me...My son was 15 and one of our trips happened to coincide with a softball tournament and a cheerleading competition. I rarely saw him that entire trip. When I did, he was usually "holding court" poolside. LOL! That was the trip I began my transition to traveling "solo".

Welllll... I've checked that darn calender about 400 times between then and now and feel like I'm cheating myself on living a normal life (I heard there was such a thing).
I am now OFFICIALLY stopping my "Days to Go Calender Peeking" so that I can feel like my life doesn't only count when I'm on vacation. I'm hoping I'll have a better attitude during my long wait.

I hear you, Oly. It's been less than 2 weeks since my last holiday (though not to Disney), and I'm trying hard not to count down the days until I get to visit Mickey. Truth be told now: I have not been on property since Memorial Day Weekend! my pass is currently expired. (:eek: sacrilege, I know)

I probably will not get there the month of July. From the start of the year, I only went for 3 day/2 nights in March and then my 3 trips in May (because of school) and then being in Germany/Virginia in June. I know I will get very good use out of my pass just as I have in the past though with the friends I have :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes (and my Disney addiction)

You'll have to make your last night the 27th...after that, it's closed for business. And, you'll want to get there VERY early on the 27th if you want to go for the last night. AC has a huge following and folks will be lined up for blocks to get in.

Sept 20-29. It's my first trip and I can't wait! DH thought it was going to be a 7 day trip, but I have stretched it out to 10 days. I'm not allowed to talk about Disney too much these days because it drives him crazy! Not really, but he does tease me about it.

DW and I can't get enough of Disney, although I have to confess that I am worse than she is. We are there from 9/14-9/20 and are staying at POR. I love being with people who haven't gone before just to see the excitement on their faces!

I see you've been to POR many times, so it must be a great resort! I'm glad we chose it! Looks like you are leaving when we arrive. Too bad, because I am going to be a total zoo when I arrive. My eyes will probably be popping out of my head. DH and I will be acting like little kids all week, I am sure! Have a great trip and enjoy the free food!

I hope Disney World can bring me around...lots of memories there with her ya know, but more memories with my late Father who used to go with me every year until I was 25 (when he passed).

My ex destroyed my kids' first trip to WDW back in 1999-2000 at New Years but remembering the memories from past trips with my parents (my dad has now passed also) and the 2 trips since then have erased all those bad ones. Our beers have a much higher amount. That was such a sweet victory. His buddies rubbed it in for years after. I pray that he never wants a rematch because those days are long gone and the painthe following day is far too much !!!!!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's Classic. I was always the Skinny one (6' 130 lbs) so trying to keep up with everyone was a bad idea. I heard that not that the US has raised it's limits with the Ice beer that if I get Canada beer by the Keg it's the actual Canadian beer. If thats the case I may need to get a Kegerator. The Draft beer in Canada tastes so much beeter than the bottle we get. Than again any Draft beer tastes beer than a bottle and beer was never ment to be in a can.

It was offered to the general public back in the spring but look for a Bounce Back offer while you are there to go back next fall (2009) with free dining! :thumbsup2
