Book now? Disney Village Dinner Reservation- Where, what time?

We're (6 total-3 adults, 3 teens) going May 19th, one day only (daytrip from Paris). I'm two months out from our date, so I can book dinner reservations, right? Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to miss out if I need to reserve now.

I think I've decided to eat dinner at the Village after the park closes since we only have a day and the parks close early at 19:00. I'm guessing we need to book a place that takes reservations or the restaurants will have large lines right after parks close, right (with a large party of 6 this might be a very long wait)? If the park closes at 19:00, what time does Candleabration ACTUALLY end (we don't want to miss any of this):confused3 ? What time would you suggest a reservation so we don't have to rush or miss any of the final show? Some suggested booking Walt's for park close, which sounds perfect, but I don't want to miss any of Candleabration; I'm guessing we'd have to miss some of it to get to a reservation on time at Walts? So then I looked at places that take reservations at the Village and found only: Billy Bob's, Cafe Mickey (older kids, so seeing the characters is not a big plus for us), and The Steakhouse. Also found the Buffalo Bill dinner show, which sounds perfect, but it's listed here as starting at 6:30 (we'd miss Candleabration) or 9:30 (too late as we have to catch a train back to Paris). What would you recommend, what time? Thanks!!!!

You can book the restaurants up to two months in advance and I'd suggest you book the restaurant to avoid disappointment. I know you'll be going with teens but how about having an early dinner/tea around 5-5.30pm at Walt's. We've never eaten there but since it's in the park it'll be easier for you to see Candleabration (it'll end just before the park closes and it's lovely...)

I think you'll need to phone the dining reservation line to find out what is the latest time you can book Walts - when we went in February the last reservation was 2.30 (and the park closed at 6).

When you say ''two months'' for booking is that 60 days or if 19th March you can book 19th June.

Also do you get through better on the DLP number, or on the local UK number for reservations?

It's 2 months before your trip so if you go in June you can book in April.

I always phone the Disney restaurant booking line on (0)160 30 40 50.

Hi,
me and DH have eaten at most of the restaurants in disney village, and i woulde highly recommend the steakhouse it was wonderful. I wouldnt recommend going to buffalo bills i thought it was way to overpriced! Cafe mickey is a lovely place to eat and someone correct me if i am wrong but the only time i have ever seen characters there has been of a breakfast...

So, I can book now for May 19th. What time will Candelebration be completely over if the park closes at 7pm (I know at WDW fireworks run past the official close time)? I will check on Walt's when I call, but I'm only going to book it if I can do it at park close. We only have 9 hours to do both parks so taking 2 hours (with wait for table, and our large party, etc.) would be too long out of the day to do it earlier.

I'm confused as to which number to use from the US for dining reservations; I've looked here and see a 33160304050 res. no., and a 33160306053 other country no. Do you know how to call from the US?

I'd consider booking to eat in Inventions at the Disneyland Hotel after the parks close. DLH is right by the park exit, and in my opinion particularly if you've got older kids the food is superior to anything in the Village. There are characters at Inventions although you said it wasn't a major consideration.

If you really want to roll the boat out you could go for California Grill - its much more french than CG at WDW, people come out from Paris to eat there.

A final suggestion for something a bit different in the Village would be King Ludwigs - honest German food, saurkraut saudages and big steins of beer
