Medals for kids races?!

Ok.... now that DH has agreed to the Minnie this year I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get everything ready and planned!! Since my boys LOVED the kids races in January I was thinking about signing them up for them again. The thing is Michael will be a tad disappointed if he runs the race only to get the same medal that he got when he ran the kids race in January. Does anyone know if the medals are going to be different? Thanks in advance!!

Unless they changed it, my dd only got a ribbon for the kids races at minnie last year.

They don't get medals like we think of for the other races during the year. One year they got a pack of Winnie the Pooh cards and other times they have gotten a ribbon or a generic plastic medal. They younger kids think it is great and some of the older ones where this is their first race. Otherwise kids seem to shrug when getting it.
