One of our Dis members on our cruise lost her husband in a senseless murder/robbery Feb 3, 2008
TammyAlaphabet aka Tammy Bahmanziari mother to Chris (16) and Layla (10).

I've been PMing Tammy and after much reluctance on her part, she has agreed for me to post the fund information I found on my own through a google search. First, I'd like to quote a little bit about Tammy's DH - from her words and some others:
Nader was an avid golfer and sports fan, a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was known for his kind heart and great sense of humor. As the service manager for a very popular restaurant, he met many many people from all walks of life and he was friendly and always did the right thing to the best of his ability. He always visited every table and personally greeting every diner at the restaurant. He was remembered and respected by many. All of this impact, and they only moved to their town in June 2006. He was a humble man and never would have believed how much he was loved and how much he is missed. He was taken from this life while working late at his restaurant, supporting his wife and children.
A fund has been established called the Nader Bahmanziari Memorial Fund. The fund will benefit Tammy and her children, Chris & Layla. The address to send donations to is Pinnacle Bank, 1745 Memorial Blvd., Murfreesboro, Tenn., 37129.
As mentioned several times, Tammy was reluctant for me to post this, and wants to stress that she is not asking anyone to donate to this fund. It was with my encouragement she is allowing me to post this.

Can you ship it in a suitcase? If we can check more luggage which I think we can then you can check boxes.

Someone asked on the last page of our previous thread about suitcases fitting under bed. We have done two things:
1. If you are NOT using the bunk bed in your stateroom and there is one, ask your stateroom host/hostess to put it down for you for the whole cruise and then you can store all your extra "stuff" up there. It works great for us to give us more room.
2. Luggage under the bed. Our luggage is BIG. What we have found is to go to the bottom of the bed and then DH lifts up the bed and then I shove the suitcases up underneath right in the middle, then the bed sits back down and we've never had a problem with a lump or anything. In fact, after the 2005 PC cruise, right before we disembarked I did one last run through of the stateroom and found an empty suitcase under the bed! I already had everything long gone by then, so I just put my stuff I was carrying off into it.

Ah, we will try this - the shove it under did not work when we tried.
Although I envy your packing skills if you had an entire suitcase leftover.

Nope, no great packing skills, I just shipped 3 boxes to the ship before the cruise with scrapbook stuff and then brought 2 more suitcases with scrapbook stuff and after the class, it was gone, so I didn't miss the extra suitcases too much! After two weeks, I kinda forgot how many suitcases we had brought on the ship. I do remember though going to the ship and the trunk, the back window, the back half of the seat and the front passenger seat floor and in between the two seats all had luggage. For me, my DH and both my parents, we had luggage every spot we weren't sitting and DH and my dad sat side by side in the back seat with luggage in their lap on the way to the port!

I don't know for certain. That's for Karen to figure out. But we have 45 girls now.....not all of them drinkers. But some people were talking about buying some champagne too.....so if I had to take a guess, I would say at least 2 cases, that's 24 bottles.

I hadn't planned on pre-shipping anything to the ship, so that does not affect me, but I had hoped on bringing on a few bottles...now I need to rethink how I will get those on board and carry them around. Looks like we are all going to get small/midsize rolling bags for our carry ons so we can lug on some heavy bottles! :lmao:

I thought we couldn't check in boxes, just carry them on. That would be difficult.....even if we could get in the room at 1:30 to drop them off, I can't carry a case or two of champagne around.....John and I are just not able to do that kind of thing anymore. Besides, I need to have my carry on stuff in a bag to carry on. Where would I put those things.

Ok we are going to figure this out! Can you get a cheap rolling cooler or small suitcase? If you have a carry on with wheels it's not bad carrying it until our lifeboat opens up. Can you buy it once you are there? Or everyone could just buy there own on the ship or BTOB. Can the tiaras be shipped in a small box to the hotel and then put the box in a duffle bag and check it?

a large rolling duffle would be good as you could fill it up but rolling it around does not weigh much. I could always ship some bottles to the hyatt mco I think. I have limo service all the way so I am not having to handle my bags at any point so I do not mind bringing a case of something onboard if needed for the party.

Is it really all that important to everyone??? Since it's going to be so difficult, why don't we just cancel? If we could ship it to the boat, I would have no problem with it, if we have to carry everything and I mean the fish gifts too.....I have boxes of stuff all over my house. How am I going to be able to get all of this carried and packed? It just doesn't seem worth it to me. I'm lucky to get my fish gifts packed and for that I have to bring an extra suitcase that I didn't plan on lugging around. Why don't we wait and see what Karen has to say when we inform her. I'll send her an email.

I live like 15 minutes from their wine shop and I have no problem shipping a case to my hotel and then loading it into my limo the day we head to port. I do know that the boxes I was shipping will amount to one maybe two extra roller bags for me. I was hoping to ship fish items and some presents I had for people and then beach toys and some odds and ends. I will have to rethink some things but really as long as they do not question my bags at port I do not care if I have to pay extra to fly additional bags out as I am not going to be lugging them myself. I saw if we all come with tons of bags they can't say anything to us!

Massage thought....
last week in Zihua, Scott and I got the most amazing 1 hr massages for 25.00each!!!!! So, if the prices on board are too high, I bet you could wander to a beach area at one of the ports and get an open air massage for much less than the cost on the ship. Ours were done under a canopy on the beach and the therapists were great. Having 4 therapists in my office, I get them quite regularly and thought my masseuse was pretty talented.

But if you check your bags in and they find it, they can confiscate it. Do you want to go through all of that and take that risk?
I can get the tiaras and my fish gifts into a second luggage bag that will have to be checked in. But I cannot bring the champagne aboard. I just can't lug it around the ship with me.
The only other thing I can think of is if everyone brings just one bottle in their carryon bags. If everyone brought one bottle of their favorite champagne, then we could taste everyone else's at the party. That's all I could come up with. What do you all think about this?

Deb - don't cancel the Champagne Girls meet! We can always do just a few bottles and meet more for the companionship.
I don't think we need to worry about much.
That what I thought, maybe we bring own bottle of champagne??
Don't cancel the Champagne Girls okay and let us think?

But if you check your bags in and they find it, they can confiscate it. Do you want to go through all of that and take that risk?
I can get the tiaras and my fish gifts into a second luggage bag that will have to be checked in. But I cannot bring the champagne aboard. I just can't lug it around the ship with me.
The only other thing I can think of is if everyone brings just one bottle in their carryon bags. If everyone brought one bottle of their favorite champagne, then we could taste everyone else's at the party. That's all I could come up with. What do you all think about this?
Hi Deb
I understand what you mean and I am happy to bring my own champagne as will buy it from Airport.

OK Monica, I get what you're saying about having the party even if we don't do the tasting. We can be the champagne girls without the champagne! Just kidding. We can always order a bottle or two and do a cheers, but let's not lug cases around with us to carry on embarkment day. It just wouldn't be any fun and after all, this is our vacation. So let's have a champagne girls party and not a tasting. Drink whatever you want! I'll let Karen know.

Deb,
If you could ship things to your hotel and get them to the port some how several of us could take a bottle or two, or some of the tiaras and stuff them into our carry ons. I have always taken a carry on size suitcase and then I use a backpack with wheels for my purse and have never had a problem with the airlines or DCL. I know I am not part of the Champagne Girls but I would be willing to stuff a couple of bottles in my carry ons (ask my DH, I am very good at stuffing 10 lbs of stuff into a 5 lb bag :thumbsup2 :rotfl2: ) until we can go to our rooms.
We were going to ship our FE gifts ahead because they are rather heavy but now we will just distribute them between our suitcases for the plane. All this means is that I will be able to buy less on trip and that won't make my DH unhappy.:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
Marilyn,
You will not go to Top Siders for formal night. We want you at the table with us. Friends we met on the 11 night and have traveled with since don't like to dress for formal night and were going to do the same thing. I told them the same thing I am telling you, wear what you would wear to dinner any other night and come. The CM's don't care and as long as you don't mind that we dress, we don't mind that you don't. I had this discussion with my mom when I got married. She wanted to wear slacks because she didn't like dresses and I was having a formal wedding. I told her that it was my wedding and if I didn't care what she wore, no one else should. We found her a very pretty pant suit. :thumbsup2

if everyone going to the tasting brough a bottle, there would be plenty of champagne. or if worst comes to worst, you pay for a glass onboard. I remember when I was a kid, that my aunt always bought a sparkling wine that had a rose tinge to it. I was too small at the time to remember the brand but she always called it her Pink champaigne. anyway that way noone would have to worry about trying to get cases of the bubbly onboard the boat.

Why can't everyone that is going to actually taste the champagne bring one bottle? You could have a list of champagne that you want and people could sign up for it. Since you only wanted 24 bottles, two people could share the cost of the more expensive bottles. I know I was looking forward to it.

Hmmm... I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed that there was 1g of fiber.
I calculate this out to be 71 points for the whole thing.
My daily points target is 28 points, so this would be equal to 2.5 days worth of food for me.
Now I figure I could find some people to split the appetizer with me. I calculate that I would need 24 people to split it with to bring it more in line.

Hi Carol, I could ship to my hotel and I could probably get one or maybe two bottles in my carry on, but I think it would be CRAZY to start handing out bottles at the port for people to bring them in their carry ons, especially when they already planned on bringing something for themselves to drink during the cruise.
Thank you for your offer, but I really don't see this as being a good alternative for everyone else.

I called to ask about sending the boxes I had been packing and was told that you can no longer send anything to this service. So shipping to your hotel is the ONLY option. I will be removing the info from shirley from the first post and then freak out about what the heck I am gonna do with all my crap.
So 2 suit cases
1 carry on
and your purse is all you are allowed to bring.
Very disappointing information, but worth repeating.

Absolutely. What you have to do is lift that bed. They will not slide under until you do that because of the sideboards.

Here is our long story from this past weekend. Our girls wanted to have their ears pierced right before the Western cruise we did this past October. We suggested they wait until we get back from that cruise. They both sort of forgot about it I guess, until they went to their friend Katie's birthday party Friday night. Katie was going to get her ears pierced on Saturday for her birthday. Our girls got all excited and asked if they could go with Katie and get theirs done too. We said "sure" if they felt they were ready. We go on Saturday and Katie gets a little nervous, so Jenna went first. Jenna did wonderful, didn't complain, cry, etc. Katie backs out. After that, Kayla becomes scared and though she was really disappointed, she backs out too. Sunday we went to the Renaissance Festival way out in east, east Phoenix. On the way home, we swing back to the Chandler mall to stop at the Apple store to get the Airport Extreme. We are having lunch at Cheesecake Factory and Shawn asks Kayla "what kind of earrings were you going to get"? Kayla says, "oh, they were really pretty, like pink diamonds". Shawn says, "do you want to go get your ears done after lunch? I will hold your hand while they do it". Kayla got a huge smile on her face and said "yes". So, she gets them done and only cried for a few minutes afterwards. Said it really hurt, but she is soooo happy. She was so proud of herself, we had to call Katie, her careprovider Tracey, and her Grandma on the way home. Fast forward to 8pm Sunday night. One of her earrings falls out. She was so upset and just hysterically crying. We tried to get it back in, but it hurt too much. You should have seen her face, it was truly sad. We told her to sleep on it, but if she wanted we would take her back Monday night to have the one ear done again. She wasn't going for it - hurt way too much! I then suggest that maybe a Build-a-Bear would make it feel better afterwards. We could care less if she has her ears pierced, she was just so proud of herself before, we didn't want her to be disappointed. Well, Kayla now has her gazillionth Build-a-Bear and both her ears pierced.
Sorry, long story, but Kayla is so happy.

Yes it will, since I'll be gone for three weeks, so I'll have to delete everything before I go and make sure it's empty. Then I'll have to record only a few selected programs, not everything under the sun like I do when I'm home. I don't watch real time TV at all. Everything is recorded first.

She was so proud of herself, we had to call Katie, her careprovider Tracey, and her Grandma on the way home. Fast forward to 8pm Sunday night. One of her earrings falls out. She was so upset and just hysterically crying. We tried to get it back in, but it hurt to much.
Ughhh . . . the ear piercing.
Sophia is still wearing the original pair she got when they were first pierced. We tried to take them out once so she could wear new ones - after much crying we got them out - but no new ones in. She then wanted them back in that night, but too afraid to do it. We went back and forth for like an hour.
Finally . . . I practically sat on her (yes call child protective services) while Amy put them back in and she carried on. She will probably wear them to her wedding.
I'm not touching those things again!

Then three days later one of the earrings went all the way into the hole while she was at school. Lots of blood and I had to push the earring out. Now she won't let us touch her ears. I know they don't hurt she is just afraid. She does clean them and twists them so they are not going to grow into her ears!!

Sorry to quote myself, but I forgot an important detail . . . everyone will be going "commando" too . . . since less clothes in the suitcase makes more room for fish extender gifts and more bottles.

I like your 'can do' attitude and I agree. I don't see the porters refusing to take bags at check-in, the more bags the more $$$$.

if everyone going to the tasting brough a bottle, there would be plenty of champagne. or if worst comes to worst, you pay for a glass onboard. I remember when I was a kid, that my aunt always bought a sparkling wine that had a rose tinge to it. I was too small at the time to remember the brand but she always called it her Pink champaigne. anyway that way noone would have to worry about trying to get cases of the bubbly onboard the boat.
What day is the tasting planned for?
If it is after Aruba, we could also pick something while in port. We can look for a liquor store in Aruba. Just like the Blues Brother, "We're on a mission from God." ;)

Monica,
I also listen to a podcast called TWIT (This week in Tech) they've talked about it a lot over the last few months. It has been out of stock a lot. Right now it sounds to me like a kind of imperfect device. Lots of pluses, but some minuses too - mostly ergonomic stuff. I still would like to have one.
The most interesting thing about it is that it comes with a constantly on connection to the internet, I think through Sprint's EVDO network. No monthly charge. Any time you want a book, anywhere there is internet in the air, you can get it. You do have to pay for some things you would get for free with a laptop and a WiFi connection though, like subscriptions to current blogs. It is a much better concept though than Sony's E-Reader.
Yeah . . . Tech Geek here.

OK - here is the scoop and first I want to say I am truly very sorry to give everyone this news.
"I made numberous of phone calls and what has been posted is true. Reasons being that so many boxes, cartons etc were coming in and there was no way to check all items shipped so the coast Guard said NO MORE OF ANYTHING.
If you put water, sodas, liquor etc in carry ons or check ins and if it is found, it will be confiscated - now 2 suitcases and 1 carry on can be carried by each person which includes kids. You can no longer ship diapers, baby food etc. It has to be a carry on or check in.
Wish I would have had better news, but security has tighten down and getting harder, but it is in your best interest and safety that these steps were taken. To tell you how strong they have gotten, Norm and I now have to be double badged - one by the port and the second one by the US Government.
Always
Shirley"

Whew that was quite the reading to get caught up. And I haven't been away for that long!
Looks like I missed all the fun with the shipping and alcohol.
Let me see if I can sum it all up:
1) No more shipping boxes/parcels/packages to the port to have onboard.
2) We are only allowed 2 bags, 1 carryon and 1 personal item to be brought on board.
3) DCL is allowing people to bring liquids (read: Alcohol) on board so long as it is in carry on or checked luggage (within the guidelines listed above).
4) Other cruise lines are now no longer allowing ppl to bring alcohol onboard at all.
Is this an accurate summary?
Are there any rules regarding bringing alcohol onboard at ports of call?

Is it really all that important to everyone??? Since it's going to be so difficult, why don't we just cancel? If we could ship it to the boat, I would have no problem with it, if we have to carry everything and I mean the fish gifts too.....I have boxes of stuff all over my house. How am I going to be able to get all of this carried and packed? It just doesn't seem worth it to me. I'm lucky to get my fish gifts packed and for that I have to bring an extra suitcase that I didn't plan on lugging around. Why don't we wait and see what Karen has to say when we inform her. I'll send her an email.
this is one of those times when the best laid plans just don't work out. We can plan and plan and just one thing makes us go back to the drawing board. I know for John and I, this changes some things, but the best thing is that we are going on this wonderful trip. If we can't take some of the stuff we wanted, we'll make do and still have such a great time. After all, we believe it isn't really our plan anyway. We will accept the changes and still look forward to a great time! Party on!!!

It's a trade off as to whether I carry more camera gear or books when I travel (clothes? who has room for them?). I'm willing to act as a central trading location for books for those who also read on vacation.
I usually have mystery stories, adventure stories and sci-fi, depending on what I find. I also tend to leave a trail of paperback books behind me when I travel. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Copied from Deb... Ella Enchanted...
Yes she is, but since she can't ship it to the boat anymore, she was going to ship to my hotel and maybe to someone else's hotel if we needed more people because there were too many boxes. I know I'll get at least a case or two shipped to my hotel.
__________________
Deb...if it makes it easier... and Karen is still going to ship anything... maybe we can have only the special stuff she thinks we absolutely need and then we can all chip in and get whatever else we need from DCL to suppliment. It may help with the shipping problem...

So here's my news: Those that were at the meet on Sunday may remember that I was suffering for several days with what I thought was an ear ache. Well, after several nights of no sleep, I went to the doctor today - it isn't my ear at all. I have TMJ! What the heck?? How does that happen? It is in Palm Beach. Does anyone know anything about Palm Beach? We are going to the butterfly farm in the morning so we could just walk to the hotel and hang out on the beach. If it is a good beach I will probably get a room at one of the hotels and just "resort it"!!!!!

Sorry to quote myself, but I forgot an important detail . . . everyone will be going "commando" too . . . since less clothes in the suitcase makes more room for fish extender gifts and more bottles.
OMG!!! I just spit green tea all over my computer. Some image in my head of "commando" style did me in....excuse me while I go compose myself (and clean up my computer).

Is the host Leo Laporte? On Sat/Sun he's on a local radio station 640 KFI and I love him! Sounds geeky but he just has such great info and he's funny too. Ok, now I sound like a real geek, don't I?
Monica,
I also listen to a podcast called TWIT (This week in Tech) they've talked about it a lot over the last few months.

First day of bowling class in college (yep still had to take 3 gym credits when I went) I bowled a 21, I got paired with the best bowler in the class since teams were supposed to average out to the class average.
I did get recognized as most improved at the end of class - and I still hadn't broken 100 :lmao:

I'm still catching up, but am reading about the issue with shipping stuff to the ship. I think we will plan on taking 4 large suitcases, 1 wardrobe one. So that means we can take on 7 more suitcases. If anyone wants to use our allowance, just let me know. It might be a little complicated, but basically I think it would need to be sent to my cabin, and then you can pick it up. My recollection is the porters don't need to verify your cabin - so you can check in your 4 suitcases to your cabin, and then assign the others to our cabin. Just a thought...since we have such a large family.

Hi Deb-there will be so many activities on board that it's really not that important in the end. And we can always each order a glass of champagne to make a toast with...sure it's not tasting but at least it's something! Like V, I'm happy to withdraw my name to help alleviate the stress.
Lisa, I don't want you or V backing out. We're going to end up doing some kind of a party because that's what everybody wants. I think the easiest thing to do is just buy a bottle of something onboard and bring it to the party. Drink whatever you like and share it if you want. That's it. Forget about an official tasting and just keep it simple and informal. That's what I think.

Ughhh . . . the ear piercing.
We're waiting for Molly's 13tth birthday. At that age she can take care of it herself. I'm just not the mom to hand hold over stuff like this at an earlier age.:sad2:

I am starting to feel like I have alot of loose ends to clean up before vacation. I was so ahead of the game 2 months ago..what happened?!?! I just had to sign a permission slip for my dd's 1st overnight field trip at school...right before we leave. Doing that slip reminded me that I have to get the food allergy sheet for my dd filled out by her doctor...and how crazy is it that you have to pay for forms at the doctors office. Plus I have to get a new epi pen for her. Crap..so much to do.

So here's my news: Those that were at the meet on Sunday may remember that I was suffering for several days with what I thought was an ear ache. Well, after several nights of no sleep, I went to the doctor today - it isn't my ear at all. I have TMJ! What the heck?? How does that happen? Well it appears as though I clench my teeth at night, so now I have to get a mouth guard and for the nest week I have to take a muscle relaer at night. So I've taken one, I'm feeling a bit loopy, and I'm going to turn in for the night in about fifteen minutes or so. I hope everyone has a nice evening - this loopy feeling isn't so bad!!!
:cloud9:
I've heard that is really painful, take care of yourself and get better, follow the doctors orders :teacher: (i know not a doctor, but ya get the drift, right?)

I calculate this out to be 71 points for the whole thing.
My daily points target is 28 points, so this would be equal to 2.5 days worth of food for me.
Now I figure I could find some people to split the appetizer with me. I calculate that I would need 24 people to split it with to bring it more in line.

kinda creepy that I did that huh? I think (not sure if this is true) that once you post a picture a person can quote it and it will show you the link to their photobucket account. With yours I saw the link in the first post you tried and could tell that it had more stuff in it that didn't need to be there and that was why it wasn't posting correctly. So, I copied and cut some of the stuff, but that didn't exactly work, here is the creepy part, I hit the link and could go to your photobucket account page and see all you pictures :scared1: Not sure if everyone can do this, I think they can. So be very careful what you post and not personal info of course in photobucket...I'll ask my friend on another thread tomorrow, she is pretty photobucket savvy. She may know how to block others from seeing your stuff. If I find out I'll let ya know. btw, nice pictures on your photo bucket (not that I looked  )

Suzie, I actually chipped a tooth from clenching my teeth at night, had no clue either, now I have a mouth guard to wear at night too.
Pj
Me too...I cracked 6 molars before I knew I had TMJ. Because of it I now have 7 crowns and my top front teeth are cracked but since it's not noticeable to the naked eye and they're not causing pain we're waiting on doing anything with those. I'm a clencher, not a grinder...thank god for my night guard else I think I'd not have teeth in my mouth. It's awful!

I'm good with whatever is decided....I'm being Gumby! HA HA...(flexible).

Come on over girl...you'll know where to find me. Seriously, I plan to take it on the plane. I think I'll fill it with our Friday night/Sat morning necessities, put our airplane travel clothes in one of our expandable suitcases and voila, we'll then have an empty cooler ready to fill with the wine bottles that we have Karen ship to the Hyatt. How's that for a dual use item?!?! By the way....shouldn't we think about what wines we want to order?

Marilyn,
You will not go to Top Siders for formal night. :thumbsup2

I'm not sure where everyone on our fishmail group live, but maybe you can mail some to another member to take so you aren't taking the brunt of this.
I have decided to take my black skirt and keep looking for tops. Thanks to those who helped me there. I have some other skirts and tops that will do for normal nights. I have a few crinkle skirts and tops which are great for packing.
Not sure, I was going to leave it up to Karen, but now I think I'll leave it up to you. How many cases can you reasonably bring.....one maybe two?
Send me a PM with all your info about where you'll be staying the night before. I'll have Karen send to you directly. Then you can figure out how you want to get it onboard.
I do feel a bit sad for Karen who was getting the business for our Champagne. Perhaps some of us can put other business her way. I know i am going to get a couple of bottles(if we can actually take some in our hand baggage) to be delivered to our hotel.
I wasn't going to drink much on the Champagne girls day(can't cope with much), so don't worry about the amount belonging to me!!!!!:rotfl:

Do I understand correctly that you have a Tinkerbell costume?
How could you not wear it to nearly every event on the ship, if for no other reason than to disturb people.
For starts, wear it for the lifeboat drill. Wear it to the pirate party, just to put people off balance. Wear it to the Mexican party sport a French flag.
There are probably 1001 different uses for a Tinkerbell costume.

Is the host Leo Laporte? On Sat/Sun he's on a local radio station 640 KFI and I love him! Sounds geeky but he just has such great info and he's funny too. Ok, now I sound like a real geek, don't I?
Yes. Leo has a whole bunch of podcasts all tech related that you can subscribe to at www.twit.tv. Another one I really like (tell Dr. Hug Angie) is "This week in Photography" - about digital photography.
We're waiting for Molly's 13tth birthday. At that age she can take care of it herself. I'm just not the mom to hand hold over stuff like this at an earlier age.:sad2:
I told Amy we were waiting until Sophia wanted it. At the end of last year she made the decision for herself.
BTW Nan, Molly looks great - and for a wonderful cause!
Actually John... I think I could fit a bottle or two in my bra... think Madonna in the 80's........

OK Girls, I wrote to Karen and Ted and informed them of our dilemma with getting our champagne onboard. I asked if they had a DCL contact that could help us out since they have done this many times in the past.
Marr, you try to reach your contact person also and see what they say.
With all of our attempts, something will work out and we will make this happen!
I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from Karen. Marr, let us know as soon as you hear back from your contact peson also.
Have a great day everyone......Sassy Bubbles, not to worry.....we will get this party going no matter what!
One more thing, Marr, could you add to the first page that we're going to be doing our tasting on PC crossing day at 4pm happy hour! Place is yet to be announced. Thanks.

kinda creepy that I did that huh? I think (not sure if this is true) that once you post a picture a person can quote it and it will show you the link to their photobucket account. With yours I saw the link in the first post you tried and could tell that it had more stuff in it that didn't need to be there and that was why it wasn't posting correctly. So, I copied and cut some of the stuff, but that didn't exactly work, here is the creepy part, I hit the link and could go to your photobucket account page and see all you pictures :scared1: Not sure if everyone can do this, I think they can. For what its worth, Photobucket is inherently NOT secure. Even if you have your photos password protected, once you post one of them, it is relatively easy to see others in the account and there are programs on the net that will help you "hack" others accounts. Part of the problem is 99% of people post sequential numbered photos (e.g. how your camera numbers them). So if someone knows you have photo http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0001.jpg then they can use a program to check for http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0002.jpg, http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0003.jpg, http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0004.jpg even if you have a password on your account, the photos will show. Other sites, like flikr and webphotos?? randomize the display name so you can't do this.
Also, if you don't lock your photobucket, if someone sees your photo name http://www.photobucket.com/username/IMG_0001.jpg then all they need to do is lop off the photo extension "IMG_0001.jpg" to see your entire account at http://www.photobucket.com/username/
So if you have embarrassing photos on photobucket....

I went to Target this morning and actually bought a new swimsuit (2 really). Will try them on tonight (and try not to be too :scared1: ) and return 1 if not both of them.
They had some shirts that look like they could pass for Mexican wear, so will head back there tonight after work (I only had about 30 min this am-killing time btwn my stop at the post office & work).
I am now going to look at a larger suitcase to take everything in. I think I'm going to have my rolly-polly carry on and my backpack (the lowepro that still needs to be purchased) with me in the terminal. I can always check my rolly polly when flying home if need be.

Not heard at all. I did send another PM to Ivanova, but guess they don't come here any more. Laura was given a hard time with the post about how she felt the Transatlantic Repo went for her. I wonder if she was upset about that. Otherwise I just can't understand her complete blocking us out when she was so excited and planning everything with the group. The major op and treatment must have had a big impact I realise though.
Did you ever hear back after sending the gifts Monica?
