...or anyone that visits often. I am looking for other campground suggestions (Other than the beloved FW and Topsail) that is worthy of a week long stay in FL. We'd are looking for a place with full hook ups, level sites, activities for kids, nice amenities, nearby attractions of some type, and is pet friendly. We aren't asking for much, are we ?? ;)

My inlaws are moving to FL:cool1: (I'm such a bad DIL) and we are looking at places to camp in the future since it looks like we will be going down there on an annual basis now. They aren't sure what part of the state they are moving to yet, but it doesn't matter because my DH said that since we are MORE than going halfway, they can come to US, lol !!

So anywhere in FL would be good....we'd want to check out different parts of FL each time (probably alternating years with FW). We'd most likely be coming over spring break if that makes any difference. THANKS :goodvibes

Gee, I personally hope you get some good response on this thread, cause' I plan on expanding my herizon's this time around with our 5th wheel as well. Last time we had a camper we only went to FW.

I'll be staying at the Holiday Cove in Bradenton right near the beach the first weekend of May. They are running a special rate for $35 a night in May and that includes the pet fee, free internet, cable, water, electric and sewer. DH wanted to find something that was no further than an hour or so away from us this trip. So, Bradenton is about the same distance for us as going to Disney. I can tell ya how it was when I get back, but for now maybe others will chime in here with some suggestions.

Shannone,

My old stand by is Turkey Lake. It's nice but it's also a public park and the pool was sooooooo packed when we went it was almost gross. I more use it as a Universal Studios spot or a place before going to the fort. There's 2 state parks near the fort to try as well. I'll post them later.

Goldhead State Park is nice - North East Florida

Swannee River State Park is beautiful - Northern heading toward the Panhandle

(Howdy Stack just south of ya in OP)

That would be great, thanks. Sounds like the kind of place we would like. We would want a place that is worthy enough for a week's stay ;)

Full hookup leaves most state parks out of the loop. There's one here on Panama City Beach called Panama City RV Resort. Just outside St Andrew state park. If sewage hookup wasn't that important, we go go St Andrew several times a year and its nice and on the bay.
