I was advised by a CM at a regular mall Disney store that a new sale will begin this Thursday, March 21, 2002.
I do not know what will be included or at what percentage discount.
However, there were several wall displays of children's clothing ensembles already at 25% and 35% off. A whole wall display of children's costumes and accessories were 50% off on Saturday, March 16, 2002, but this may have been going on for a while. I hadn't been in the store in several weeks.
Hope that helps someone!

I was in our store last night briefly after my WDW trip, but I remember seeing children's clothes, BBBH toys, the Dalmatian firetruck, a lot of those Pooh "I Can Do It Myself" toys, keychains, and a bunch of other stuff set up for today's sale. I didn't see the manifest, so I don't know everything, but there were alot of fixtures and wall bays set up. Our lead wasn't sure, but she thought some would be anywhere from 25-50%.

I stopped in to our DS today. No big sale really, Big signs all over, but most of the stuff was 35% off, only a few things at 50%. I'm really disappointed. Up until the 'big change' I was getting incredible sales 50-75% off of a lot of stuff.

I was at the Pooh store OOOPS I mean the Disney store today and wasn't impressed with the sale! most of the stuff was only 35% off and everything was POOH! I don't really have a problem with Pooh but DD won't wear anything with Pooh on it and I thought the stuff for boys looks so childish that I didn't care for anything so this was my cheapest visit I picked up my Cinderella video and Minnie mouse ears reduced to $2.99 and left......

I picked up two WDW photo albums for the kids for after we get back and get there pics developed. I also picked up 3 Cindy's Castle photo holders. The grandparents are going to get a pic of the kids in one of those holders has their gift from our trip. I only spent $35 and some change.

Yup,
They were 50% off and so were the little photo holder thingys.
They had a large display of toys 50% off too. Big Buzz Lightyears, Buzz shooter things, Buzz rock em - sock em robots, some stuffed toy story toys and some small stuffed things from different movies. No good clothing deals that I saw.

I got some great deals at TDS today. They had Princess ball caps on sale for 50% off as well as princess jackets 50% off. I also bought some Monster stuff, princess crowns, stickers and pens at 50% off. All in all I was really happy with my purchases. We are taking our 3 little princesses to WDW in May so I was trying to stock up. I was also thinking Easter.

I'm bummed that they no longer carry adult sized t-shirts! I was just going to buy some today and all they had left were sweatshirts at 35% off- dont need those in summer time at DL! At least I picked up some Disney dollars and the newest catalog- still have the free shipping code!

In the Allentown, PA TDS, I bought my three children their Trick or Treating costumes!! This was on Sunday.
Last Halloween I was so stressed out and made their costumes--this year my 4y/o will be Buzz ($14.99) and my 3y/o b/g twins will be Peter Pan and Tinkerbell ($14.99 each). They were 50% off. I also bought the Peter Pan hat, the Peter Pan boots, plus the wand and "crown" for Tinkerbell. My total was less than $90. The place was mobbed with people rooting through the costumes area--we were lucky :-)

I visited my local DS on Tuesday- got some costume stuff and a Buzz Lightyear outfit for my 2 year-old at 50% off and some things for me at 35% off. Today I went to a store a little farther away to see if they had a better selection and everything was 50% off! I bought some of the things I had purchased for 35% off and now I will return them to the store I bought them at because I saved the reciept! I don't know if they just marked things down again or if they just have different sales at different stores.

I thought about going a few exits down from my neighborhood store to see if they had different sale items. Hmmm, maybe I should! My ds will be 5 next tuesday, a few buzz themed gifts would hit the spot.

Markdowns are uniform and company-wide. Selection, however, does often vary from store to store because it just depends on what the store has left in stock when the sale starts.

Speaking of a sale, got an email from the Disney store on-line yesterday about a sale, got my DD and DS hooded sweatshirts for only $8 each! Well I had to get one too, and I also bought my DD a little dress (could'nt resist Princess' you know). Really good prices! Really put me in the mood for our fall trip!!

Was just in Rochester, mn yesterday and they had LOTS at 50% off. I found adult t-shirts not just Pooh and I even picked up a photo album (Very nice) 1/2 off. I purchased some kids shirts there 1/2 off so the characters can sign the shirts instead of autograph books, thanks to another hint on this dis-cussion forum. Was worth my visit there.

Went on Thurs......
DD and I looked and looked and looked around and really didn't see much worth getting.
It is all little kids stuff! And my DD is too big for any of it.
We did see a cute frame that I wanted to get and every one of them was broke! We looked at about 15 of them! Not a good one in the bunch!
And the store was a MESS, again! Last time we went was on a Sat and everyone said.....oh because of the weekend being busy. Well it was a weekday and not busy at all.
What a shame.
anyway, we did get some Disney Dollars for our June trip!! We will save our money for then!!! :D

I went to the Manchester, CT store on Saturday and bought six pairs of Minnie Mouse type ears on a headband with a big red and white polka dot bow in the center for $2.99 each. Bought six for me (I've always wanted them), two DDs, my mom, sister and niece. We're taking a girls-only trip over the 4th of July. I can just see all of us meeting up in the airport with these ears on. But hey, I don't know any of these people staring at me! I'm just a big kid at heart who finally has her own pair of ears!
Also bought 3 of the picture/business card holders for $5 each. It's the castle with tinkerbell on top. I put them in the EAster baskets.

Is anyone else disappointed with the DS? I used to be able to go into our store and buy something every week. Now I go in searching for something to buy and come out empty handed and disappointed. No more great selection of adult clothes. I can't ever find anything for my DS -- everything our store carries seems to be baby clothes and a lot of overpriced toys. :( :( :( :(

I purhased 4 large photo albums today at $4.49 each, and the pooh plush dressed in toy story were only $5.49 each, had to get a few of those too. The clip frames and a few MBBP were also 75% off.

I went to the one in the Meriden Square Mall last Saturday, lots of 50% off stuff. I bought a Mickey umbrella, half off, then an additional 10% with the Disney Club, cost me $6.49. Very happy with that bargain, as I had just lost my umbrella the week before. Told hubby that I could not wait for the rain so I could use it. I got the opportunity to do just that yesterday. Felt like a kid again. ha ha

We went to the mall tonight and, of course, had to stop at the Disney Store. I couldn't believe how much of their kids' clothes was 50% off! I bought a Tigger raincoat for my DS for 9.00, a Mickey hooded/zippered sweatshirt for 10.00, and a 3-piece (shorts, s/s shirt, and vest) summer outfit for DS for church for 17.00. I almost bought the Piglet dressed as the little green alien man from Toy Story. He, and a lot of other plush, was 75% off! My son got Pooh/Buzz, Tigger/Woody, and Eeyore/Bullseye from the Easter Bunny on Sunday -- I thought about completing the set w/Piglet. I also saw some adult clothes 50% off -- including the s/s denim shirt I bought last week at 35% off! Our store didn't have many 50% off toys anymore -- a few monsters toys, but that was it.

We went to Chicago area to visit DH's family this past week and went to one Disney Store. She said we came on a great day because a lot of stuff had been marked down to 75% off and there was a lot of other for 50% off. When I checked it out it was all kid's stuff so when I asked if they had adult stuff, she said only select DS's carry adult items now and directed me to another store.
At the next DS I was in heaven. I got a photo album and mickey note holder for 75% off, a short sleeve denim shirt with Mickey embroidered on it for 50% off. They also had adult sweatshirts and nightgowns for 50% off.
We did find another DS in another mall, but it was all kid items as well. I wish our DS here carried more adult items. :(

I went in today and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of sale stuff they still had left! I got Eeyore pjs for me, 2 Minnie ears (one for me!:p ), a Easter Eeyore beanie, a 2 piece skort set for my daughter, a pinwheel pen for other daughter, and a Pooh spirograph like art set for an upcoming birthday party. It all came to $35! :bounce: I tried to convince DH that he needed a Grumpy t-shirt, but he didn't want it!
