View Full Version : Setting myself a goal today.

I figured if I posted my goal today, I might actually accomplish it!

My goal today is to do a 45 minute walk (either treadmill or outside if I can get DD to join me), followed by 15 minutes of light weights (at home). After that I will fold two loads of laundry. If I can accomplish this before 6pm, I will reward myself with a 30 minute soak in the hot tub after dinner! (I'm at work right now and won't be home until about 3:20.)

DD's swim team is on a hiatus for four weeks, so I will really need to push myself to get in my exercise during that time, since we won't be at the YMCA 5 days a week! Plus I am only 4 weeks away from my trip and 7 pounds away from my goal weight for that trip. So I will really have to push my big butt EVERY DAY if I expect to make my goal.........................P

Okay.... I did 46 minutes on the treadmill (2.4 mi) at a good steady pace, most of it at full incline. I did 15 minutes with light weights (but it hurts my neck, so need to find something different to do). I didn't get the laundry folded because I forgot to put the roast in the crockpot this morning so I had to make dinner. I spent about 30 minutes chopping fresh veggies for a really yummy
dinner. Then I had to do DS's dish duty because he was having homework troubles and I didn't want him to be distracted from the homework.

After all that I treated myself to a 30 minute soak (with DD along for company). It felt good... especially since I rarely take the time to use the hot tub. I'm now in my jammies, warm and comfy with a full (low point) belly, ready to watch Dancing with the Stars with DD !

I must say, it really helped me stay on my plan, knowing that I had posted it here and people were going to be asking if I stayed with my plan. To top things off, I have several points left for a yummy, healthy dessert AND I managed to drink about 75 oz of water today!! .....................P

Congratulations for sticking with your goal. Your hot tub sounds wonderful. Keep up the great work.
