Interesting Article on Car Rentals

Thought I'd share this article on the rise in car rental prices. Seems like the carriers all cut their fleets substantially and now, with increased demand, prices are rising and sometimes they do not even have cars available. Just something to keep in mind when pricing out costs.

Thanks for the good article. I just made reservations for National, for next years President's weekend(Feb 2003) in Orlando for Emarald isle. Got a rate of $188 for the week, thats with all taxes included. I don't think it will get much lower than that rate. I always like to make them early.:D

Thanks for the article, Pam. I'm glad I have a good rate secured for this summer, prices seem really expensive right now! Lately, I've been seeing luxury cars over $600 for 8 days!

LOL, Luv2Roam! :) When I went to WDW over NYE our car rental was $550 (8 days) - it made us feel like we HAD to use the car! So, we drove everywhere! But, when you look at the holiday season room rates, it all just piled up! Thankfully, I was able to get one for MUCH less this next time!
