Jim...it sounds as if you're ready for a few days away from it all, Mon...LOL What is the status of "operation partytime???" :D
I'll be there, Barry...SOMEBODY has to liven things up:rolleyes:
Oh wait...this is Sunday...hmmm...now I'm all messed up!!
Ok...maybe I'll be there...I dunno! :D I'll be there Saturday for Earth Wind and Fire...so I may have difficulty dragging myself out of bed on Sunday! Lunch at Mythos is a possibility, however...

I will have had a long day on the 23rd. I going to the ET event early and then staying late at Old Town. I don't think you can count me in for early day activities. I might make it out there around 1, but I'll have to see...

I will give you a round of drinks, but you can only have bread and water. Not the $6 bottle of water in the hotels or the $2.50 stuff at the park stands. You have to drink from the water fountain. :)

We will be there one month later, but I have a question.
What do you do as an ID type of thing for fellow DIS or whatever you call people who frequent these boards? The Disney side does the lime green ribbon (which does not seem to work that great).
Just wondering, because I would love to run into some of these great people at a great park!

We all just congregate around the 10 foot tall man wearing a spiderman shirt and the 9 foot tall man carrying a backpack full of pork brains...we're relatively easy to spot...;)

E.T. is opening for an AP holder preview on 3/23 from 9-11 am. I assume that it will be open after that for everyone else.

I (we) will be there that day, but I don't know if I'll meet all of you, you know how family can be (talk about carrying bagage). However, in honor of Mardi Gras I will be wearing what I affectionatly call my Funky Diva pants. They are colorful and graffetti covered. They have a brick wall look to them and my daughter thinks I am completly insane to wear them. So if you see some crazy woman wandering around in Funky Diva pants, stop and say hello. Of course if someone else is brave enough or foolish enough to wear the same pants that day, and people are stopping to say hello to her, she might think you are all insane or that Universal is really the most friendly of parks.

I will wear my "funky diva" pants. :)
Anyway, to identify fellow DIS'ers, we usually use lime green ribbons. I just wear my DIS t-shirt.

Barry was this info from the AP passport newsletter? I saw the 45% VIP tour discount in there and an announcement of the ET revamp, but I have not seen anything about a preview for AP holders only. Might be worth a trip up just for that.

The ET preview came in a postcard. I think mine arrived on Saturday. You must live in North Ft. Myers. :)
As for the meet, remember it is on a Sunday. The FLCC Old Town meet is on a Saturday, 3/23.
As for funky diva pants, just listen for "All the women independent, throw your hands at me..." :)

Funky Diva Pants? On Barry?!
I'll bring a camera for sure!
We're gonna be in the old faithful bead-spot we were in for MG - Con on Sat. nite. Afterwards, catch a bit (alot?) of E,W,& F.
Maybe a Finnegans Meet 7 -7:30 before Mardi?
Karen - Operation Partytime's largest strikeforce will be Sun. nite for us. IOA closes at 10 pm. Invading Dragons after dark, maybe Alchemy 1st!

Well...I'm looking forward to EW&F and I like the Finnegans idea...perhaps we'll actually SEE the parade!?!? Definitely gotta get there early...the crowds are consistantly bad at the bar at about that time these days! LOL
Sunday night, eh? Allright, well...kids have school, so they might just need a sitter! Alchemy is a good call...happy hour is 3-5! ;-)
I haven't done the dragons after dark...or after visiting the Alchemy for happy hour!
Sounds like a fun-filled weekend!!!

MIB will be there. probably both days. I would like to do the ET passholder thing so we may see ya Rocketman.
H2Ojag, if you want to get close to the stage for EWF you need to be in different place to catch the beads and then put the MIB for front of stage plan into effect. Rocketman and i have both used it and it works very well. :smooth:

It's called the stomp-the-touron plan...
I plan to see what this plan is all about Sat. night...of course, I have a feeling I better get my beer drinkin' & bathroom visitin' done beforehand or I'll never get back up there again!!!
If anyone tries to beat me up...I hope you'll step on them FOR me, MIB!!! ;)

No problem MsDis!!!! this one should be a bit calmer than the Lynard Skynard concert.
One girl really went all the way to get some beads from the stage that night.
The stomp-on-a-touron plan will take off from the Hanna-Barbera, Hitchcock area. :smooth:

Not to be a stick-in-the-mud, but we're gonna stay a little back from the stage (nearer to a refreshment cart & restrooms) and maybe have a little dancing room if the urge does strike.
You Mardi veterans are too wild for us!

I hear THAT, Jag...and that's what might end up happening with me...I can't be that far away from the restrooms...as many of you might recall!!! (ahem, or the refreshment cart, for that matter)
You'll have to let me know where you'll be shaking your booty so if I have to leave the front, never to be able to return again:eek:...I can look for ya!
The stop light is a pretty good spot...easy to find and pretty open area...that's where I was shakin' MY booty during Lynard Skynard... ;) I could care less about seeing the band...I just want to enjoy the music!!! :)

Now you're talkin' MIB...
And to think...no tourons have to die for THAT plan!!! ;)
So Jag...should we meet you at Finnegans then? We'll take down their keg of Guinness, just like old times! ;) :D ;) Or...bud ice or whatever... :)
Or someplace before that? Just let us know! :)
