I am Agonizing over Upgrading my Bug

I LOVE my Cricut but I wish I had just started off with the Expressions so I wouldn't have to make this decision now!!! I am just not sure if I need more than what the baby bug can do! Is it worth the money to upgrade? I would sell the baby bug if I get the big one. I can get it for $214 on ebay w/o any cartridges (is that worth it?)

I just don't know what to do!!!

I upgraded to the Expression for my birthday last year and I wasn't totally convinced that I needed it until I used it. I love the screen that shows you what you are going to cut- it is essential for me when I am using the Mickey carts. I love that I can tell it to fill the page with something and hit cut and come back from doing something else and I have 42 scallops (just pulled that out of nowhere). I could gush and gush about it, but my children are about to hurt each other!

I have both and I use both.

I'm not sure about not having the carts. I don't use the Accents one as much as I though I would and I haven't used the font. Only you can say if you would use those carts or not.

I only have the expression. DH insisted that I get that one instead of the small one :lovestruc . I would think that the fill the page and fit to page features alone would sell you on it. The flip feature is great too. I have made many large items for kids crafts and birthday banners too. If the main concern is not money, then I would definitely recommend it.

My issue with the $214 price is if you look at what you can purchase the Expressions WITH the 2 carts for is the $214 price WITHOUT the 2 carts fair (KWIM?) I don't think I would really use Accent Essentials but I would like the font. I can get the font for less than $40 on ebay though.

i had both - i sold my little bug to a friend for $100.00 with out any carts. (I kept george) I also included a BUNCH of the small matts (since you cant use them with the expression) and an extra blade -
I didnt use the small one any more - i ALWAYS use the expression (almost everyday) I have not missed the little one since i sold it!!! just extra money for more carts (actually i put the extra money towards a wii)
I LOVE PLANTIN schoolbook that comes with the expression - it is my favorite font!! (I have 36 carts) I traded accents because it just wasnt my thing
I would look into a.c moore if you have one near you - they have a deal where you get the expression - 4 carts, the pens, matts and i am not sure if there is anything else.
I say go for the big one! ITS SO MUCH FUN! Plus i take my expression with me to crops - not a probelm! cant scrap with out it!

I use both carts all the time. Plantin Schoolbook is a great basic font and I used Accent Essentials for sn**flakes and added flair to a page.
