I'd love some recommendations on a good steakhouse in Universal (we'll be there for 8 days starting next week) :cool1:
We enjoy Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney - something like that (or better!) We also LOVE Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but I know it's hard to find something *that* good anywhere... we (even the kids) really enjoy a good steak...
any suggestions would be appreciated!

I'm not sure that Universal has a true "steakhouse" type place. You can certainly get a very good steaK at Emeril's "Tchoup Chop" restaurant.

The Palm in the Hard Rock hotel is great. It's usually not that crowded as well.

Since you are used to Ruths Chris prices, I would guess that The Palm might be right up your alley. We thought is was very good, but extremely over priced. We're more of the Outback or Longhorn type.

The Palm is in the Morton's, Ruths' Chris, Capitale Grill catagory. They serve prime beef and the staff is very good. Prices are the norm for this catagory of establishment.:thumbsup2

thank you for the link! that's exactly what I was talking about! :thumbsup2
DH will be pleased (as will the kids!) We only have been to Ruth's Chris once, and while they are more expensive than anywhere else we had ever been, I have to say it was worth it. I've never before or since tasted anything as good! We certainly couldn't eat like that every week, but on vacation once or twice, definitely!! Thanks for everyone's response. :)

Thanks for the advice!:thumbsup2
I just booked a reservation on opentable during our stay. Is there a dress code, similar to Emeril's dress code, at The Palms? or is park attire acceptable?

I'd love to see reviews from anyone going to the restaurants in the next month & 1/2 posted here. I'd love to know where to recommend to my DH for our anniversary dinner while we are at universal. Here's to hoping everyone finds the meal they are looking for.

There's a Ruth's Chris not far from Universal on Sand Lake Road, on Orlando's so-called "Restaurant Row."
