View Full Version : Does AKL have organized games for kids?
I know they have babysitting. I also know they have storytelling. But someone said they have games nightly. Do you have to reserve a spot and how much is it?

Hi jdaa,
I know they had organized pool games for kids and anyone else that want to join during the day run by the lifeguards but I do not remember games around the resort. Maybe someone else can help out more in that area.

When we were there in December, they had organised games for the kids at around 8.00/8.30pm in the lobby. You didn't have to sign up for them and there was no charge. We just happened to be passing through the lobby when a CM asked if DD would like to join in (Animal Pictionary, I think, that evening).
They also had craft activities at the pool during the day - DD made a cute angel picture frame!
Hope this helps.

Something else they had when we were there in October (going back in May, loved it), was cookie decorating for the kids every afternoon at Boma Restaurant. It was free and they enjoyed it.
Have a good time :)

Pool games during the day, arts & crafts pool-side during the day, and games in the evening in one of the public rooms off the lobby. You can check with the Front Desk when you check-in for the week's schedule of activities for the kids (I think it is also stated in their resort newsletter).
I adore the AKL. TartanFan's daughter and my daughter played "Animal Pictionary" one evening at the AKL just like she stated. Our daughters enjoyed themselves with the other children and the Cast Members, while TartanFan and I enjoyed a cool drink up in the Kilimanjaro Club (we were concierge guests).
