Diving St. Maarten or St. Thomas????

I was wondering which was better to dive at St. Maarten or St. Thomas??

We have dove St Marteen twice and were not impressed with the underwater environmnet and vis.

St Thomas much better interms of critters and vis.

Both times were in Nov/Dec. Both are good dive operators.
