Actually a friend of mine took it. She was accross the cause way in Titusville. I had to work the next morning thus, didn't want to stay up all night to watch it.

A nighttime shuttle launch is really an awesome sight. As the shuttle rises higher, it's just like someone turned the sun on. Great picture!

I have done them before and you're right. It does light up just like day time!

We watched a night launch from the balcony of Artist Point in Dec. '06.

We were amazed at how bright it was from that far away so I can only imagine the awesome light up close!

I was hoping someone would post a photo! I wanted to be at Spaceview Park in Titusville, but things didn't work out. I couldn't see anything but back-lit clouds from the BW balcony. I am now hoping that the Oct. 16 shuttle goes as planned and I can be there for that one. Thank you!
