I am going to attempt to start my trip report although with the ongoing preparations for our condo, our move, and upcoming honeymoon to Hawaii (at the end of April) I canít guarantee that I will be very quick at getting it finished. Oh well, more time to linger and enjoy the memories!

I will also do a complete vendor review at some point. We used Randy Chapman for photography, Stan Severance from STVS Video, and my coordinator was Marion Stewart with Laura Kidd as my floral manager. To be honest, I was happy with all my choices and have no real complaints.

Thursday, February 28 ~
I guess this would technically be late Wednesday evening, but I thought I would officially start my report with the day that we flew out. I ended up staying up until 4 a.m. finishing up packing and other preparations for the trip. Around 2 a.m. I was burning the music that we needed on CDs and finally booked our car rental around 3:30 a.m.!

Needless to say even after shipping 7 boxes to Florida the previous weekend we ended up forgetting several key items which will come up later in my report.

My mom and I had nail appointments at 9 a.m. because I was a little leery of having someone other than my normal nail tech do my nails. She was so helpful- she even sent a care package with extra acrylic powder (in case of a break, so the salon could match the color), glitter polish, glue, etc.

We left my dad to pack up the car for the airport and when we arrived home around 10:30 a.m. he was just finally finishing. Of course, I added in several last minute errands on the way to the airport (which is only like 20 minutes away).

After calling that morning and discovering that there arenít any Chase banks within a 2 hour radius of Orlando I had to fall back to Plan B. My work does not do direct deposit and my check which was dated for the next day needed to be deposited. Thankfully, one of the tellers at my local bank agreed to hold the check and to deposit it the very next day. While I was waiting for her at the bank she called me over and told the customer that she was waiting on that he had to wait because I had a plane to catch. The older man asked what for and then started going on about marriage and how a wife is supposed to make her husband happy, etc., etc. The teller was great she told him, ďShe doesnít need the speech, her parents have been married for 30 years and sheís known this guy for a long time and she doesnít need to hear anymore from you.Ē

Needless to say I was out of there within just a few minutes. The next stop was Samís Club to drop off my computer for repairs. The power cord is acting funny and since I need this for work I wanted to get it sent in while I would be out of town for over a week. I stand in line only to discover that it has to be shipped in and that I have to call a customer service line. A failed attempt, but I guess I can send it out when I go to Hawaii next month.

We arrived at the airport without any problems and since I had already printed off our boarding passes the night before we just had to hand them our bags. My mom and I had to carry our hats (we bought them on the spur of the moment and thought it would be fun to wear them) for the bridal tea through the airport because we werenít able to locate hat boxes and would have been over our carry-on limit with them anyway. Thankfully our airport is pretty small and it doesnít take long to check in for flights.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0461.jpg
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0455.jpg

Once at our gate there were several older ladies who asked where we were going and when we said that it was for a wedding they both said that the hats gave it away. Who knew that carrying hats would make people think that we were going to my wedding? I would have thought that the ďbrideĒ bag was a bigger giveaway!

Sometime on the way to Atlanta I realized that we had forgotten some of the items for the Welcome Bags! Thankfully, we had several relatives coming in the next day, so we made some calls for help. My cousin went over to our house and dug everything out for us Ė the Disney playing cards and the antenna toppers- then took them over to my grandmaís house for her to bring the next day. He was a real lifesaver!!! While boarding in Atlanta after our layover the guy scanning the tickets told me I had too many carry-ons (my purse, a rolling bag, my veil, and my hat). I told him that the veil could be wadded up and didnít count as a bag. After demonstrating how flat it was he let me through with it. There was no way I was letting them take any of my stuff.

My dad acting goofy on the plane:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0466.jpg

Once we got into Orlando more drama ensued. On the monorail from the terminal my mom realized that she had left her camera on the plane. Of course, they wonít just let you ride the monorail back they made us exit and go to the AirTran counter. We left my mom there to sort out the ordeal and we went to check-in with Magical Express. Since we were renting a car we just checked in to make sure that there werenít any problems with our baggage getting delivered to the hotel. Then my dad and I sat down and waited for my mom. In the meantime, my dad talked my cousin through locating the items for the welcome bags since we had left the wedding stuff in complete disarray at the house!

Finally, after 45 minutes she showed up with the camera. They sent her on a wild goose chase through the airport. They gave her a pass for security, but she was sent to the wrong terminal, then she got to the desk and the camera wasnít there, the pilot had sent it to another desk. She ended up back at the check-in counter and the ladies called back to have a runner bring it to my mom. The runners refused to bring it, so one of the AirTran ladies went all the way through security to get it for my mom. Thank you AirTran!

We then went to get our car from Alamo. I did online check-in, so all we had to do was walk out and then hop in whatever one that we wanted. Once out of the airport we headed to Samís Club. I had my dad print off directions the night before, so it was pretty easy to find. We stocked up on snacks for the Welcome Bags and bottled water to put the labels on and then we were off. I was looking for a Target or Kmart, but the first thing we came across was a Big Lots, so we took our chances and went inside. I wanted to get items for a basket in the ladies restroom, baskets to hold the bubbles, storage containers for the cake, and batteries for several miscellaneous items. Thankfully we lucked out and found everything that we needed and at a cheap price.

Our room stacked with Samís Club purchases:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0472.jpg
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0474.jpg

After that, we headed towards Disney and got dinner at Fridayís in the Crossroads. We finally made it into POR a little after 9:30 p.m. and got checked in to our room. Once we got settled it was after 10 p.m. and then we started on the Welcome Bags. We had to have the boxes that we shipped to the resort delivered by bell services because a lot of the items for the bags were in there. I have to admit I made the process of putting together the bags more difficult because the majority of the bags were a little different. The bridal party and immediate family got more items as well as people with kids.

Some samples of the bags:

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0489.jpg

Plus, the folders that were given out didnít all include the same things because some people obviously didnít get an invitation to the tea and people who werenít coming to the Welcome Party didnít get one of those invites either. Also, I had other inserts such as the pressed penny sheet that only went to certain people. For some of the guests who aren't native to the area where Kris and I are from we included brochures for attractions near our home in Michigan. We also purchased some snacks that are made in Michigan such as the Kar's Nuts Sweet & Salty Mix.

I will post all the things that were inserted into the folders, but here is a basic rundown:
 Welcome Newsletter
 Welcome Party Invitation
 Hidden Mickey document
 Scavenger Hunt
 Customized Crossword Puzzle
 Tea Party invitation
 Park Maps
 Contact Cards (my dad spent a lot of time on these, so Iíll have to post these)
 Pressed Penny guide (and some shiny pennies!)
 Postcards with stamps

My dad working tirelessly on the water bottles:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0491.jpg

We also assembled the ďbear necessitiesĒ bags that night and had to customize those too because not everyone got a sunblock in their bags. We also added some Aleve tablets from Samís.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding%20Purchases/WeddingGiftBags025.jpg
We even had small personalized sewing kits that were a must-have for my mom:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding%20Purchases/WeddingGiftBags026.jpg

I had small round containers that I had bought for Mickey mints. After discovering that the shipping for a 5 lb bag was $20 I decided to wait to see what I could find down there instead. I ended up buying these mints at the POR gift shop and everyone loved them.

The small round purple containers contained the mints:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding%20Purchases/WeddingGiftBags024.jpg

Needless to say, we didnít finish until around 3:30 a.m. We had reservations to eat breakfast at Kona Cafť the next morning at 10 a.m. before meeting Marion at 11:30 a.m. and we decided to skip breakfast!

The bags all lined up:

Day 2 ~ Endless errands:
I was hoping to get way more of this done this weekend, but endless hours of painting and other miscellaneous chores while we're working on our condo kept me away. Kris got annoyed with me yesterday morning as I was loading pictures on Photobucket because he wanted to head out to start work at our place for the day! :rotfl:

The second day we got up and my dad went to meet some of our family that were arriving on the Magical Express. He got some pictures of my grandma and great aunt and cousins as they arrived at the resort. During this time I was getting irate with one of the Magical Express workers because they werenít going to let Kris on the bus (he had also arrived that morning at around 9:30 a.m.)

There was some confusion because he had changed his original flight and came in on a different day. When they wouldnít let him check in without booking an additional room for that night, Kris called me to ask what Plan B was for getting him from the airport and once he explained what was going on I asked him to hand the phone over the person at the counter. I explained to the person how he was here for our wedding and that his flight had changed.

We were adding him to our room for the night (he had a reservation starting the next day) and then she told me that 4 people was over capacity at POR ~I had no idea where she came up with that one since several people who had booked through my wedding had up to 5 in a room because a lot of rooms have trundle beds! She still said she couldnít do anything. At this point, I had a Bridezilla  said she would go ahead and put him on the bus and that we could work out the reservation once he arrived.

After I got off the phone we drove the rental car over to the wedding pavilion to meet with Marion. When we got to the meeting, I was worried because we didnít have clear storage containers to put our stuff in, but I was told not to worry about it. We had several things to drop off for her including the Mickey bubbles that we had personalized with everyoneís names (Iíll have to post a picture of these because they turned out really cute!), the place cards, and the basket for the bathroom with emergency items for the ladies, and the guest book.

Once we got there I didnít realize that we were also supposed to go over the entire BEO. We did a run through of the ceremony and setup for everything. When Marion asked about the favors, we thought that Kris had them in his luggage (he had arrived in Orlando shortly before we got to Franckís.) She checked Saturdayís schedule and told us that there would be someone there around the time of our tea, so we could drop the favors off on our way to the Grand Floridian which we thought would work out perfectly.

Whereís my groom?
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld352.jpg
By this time Kris had arrived at POR and had ran into some of our friends before he headed over to meet us at Franckís. We were already done with Marion by now, but I wanted to get some pictures inside the wedding pavilion. Here are some of the shots that we took:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/CopyofWeddingMarch32008WaltDisne-1.jpg
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld387.jpg

I was definitely jealous of all the wedding pavilion brides for the beautiful vestibule that you get to enjoy; it definitely wasnít the same as the gift shop and art gallery at the AAR where we waited.:rotfl:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld372.jpg

We then ran back to POR and got internet set up in the room, so we could add the reservation numbers to all the guest bags. I had wanted to make some fancy Mickey tags, but ended up buying some gift tags marked down at the Disney store after Christmas that worked out just as well.

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/CopyofWeddingMarch32008WaltDisne-3.jpg

Here Kris and I are delivering the bags up to the front desk at POR. They were great about making sure that our guest s got them when they checked in over the next couple days. We only had a few minor delays with people who had multiple bags left for one room, but overall I was really pleased with their help.

We also delivered a few to some relatives that had checked in that morning; it was fun to see them opening everything up:

Then I had a major disappointment... there were only 9 there!!! I guess the server is still acting up. I'll let you know when more show up online.

End of Day 2~

After delivering all the bags we loaded up and headed to the Menís Warehouse over by the Florida Mall. AfterHours was bought out by Menís Warehouse and is now named Tux and they both have the same options now. I was really pleased with the service that we received at Menís Warehouse. I know some people have had problems with the different tux shops.

I paid a $10 deposit at a bridal show (which we got back after returning the tuxes after the wedding) and then our groomsmen got $25 off their tuxes plus Kris got a free one with 4 additional rentals. Since we had 6 other ones he got his free. Krisí pants were a little short and they fixed them while we waited. Also, we picked up all the tuxes since most the guys werenít arriving until Saturday. We decided if we had problems we would just come back later in the weekend. They also extended the rental period on all the tuxes until Wednesday (wedding was on Monday) so we could bring them all back after our Magic Kingdom shoot. :thumbsup2

Here are some shots of Kris and my dad at the store:

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld414.jpg

One of the ladies who was helping us at the shop told me that I did a great job on the tuxes. I told her that this was one thing that I let Kris make all the decisions on for the wedding! He did do a great job they were Ralph Lauren and looked really great on all the guys. Later that weekend when everyone tried theirs on the only problem we had was that my cousinís pants were too short. We had him take off the suspenders and pull them down a little on his waist and the problem was solved. :cool1:

After this we set off to get back to Fort Wilderness for a 6:00 pm dinner with our guests that had arrived that day. Needless to say it was already 5:30 pm and we were about 25 minutes away from Disney!

Thankfully, we didnít hit any traffic and we drove directly to the campground. The bad thing is that when you come by car you have to park up front by the stables. We then got on a bus to head to the back. We asked the driver if he was going to Pioneer Hall and he said yes. He failed to mention that he was not the express bus and that he was going to stop at every campsite area along the way. Note: there is a bus that goes straight to Pioneer Hall and we did not get on that one. We were on the bus by 6:05 pm, but didnít get to Trails End Buffet until 6:30 pm. Thankfully, 6 of our other guests were just arriving at the same time as us. Most everyone had been at Magic Kingdom, so they just took the boat right over.

For those of you that have never been there the food is great and the price is even better. Itís not anything fancy, but is a great value compared to other places on property. Their cornbread is amazing! We like to go at breakfast too plus you get the 20% off with the Disney Dining Experience (unfortunately we didnít get our card until the next day, so we missed out on the discount). Itís usually pretty easy to get in this restaurant too. Our friends Page and Amanda and my cousinís family had arrived on time so they had to introduce themselves. They seemed to be enjoying themselves, so our failure as hosts wasnít noticed!

After dinner our waitress came over to the table and called around the restaurant to get everyoneís attention. She said that we were going to be celebrating a special event on Monday and asked us to tell everyone what it wasÖ after we answered she asked why she wasnít invited!? Next she had everyone in the restaurant yell ďYeehawĒ and asked us to practice our kiss. Kris at this point was bright red and extremely embarrassed. He is really outgoing, but doesnít like to be the center of attention when it comes to certain things. He gave me a quick peck on the lips and then sat down. The waitress then said ďThis is how youíre supposed to do itĒ and grabbed my head putting her arm over my face making it look like she was kissing me.

Everyone burst out laughing at this point. She then presented us with a certificate and gave us a bowl of strawberry shortcake (which was quite delicious!) I know some other people in our party took pictures, but I havenít gotten those yet, so Iíll have to post them when I do get the pictures. My great aunt (who is almost 84) was sitting next to us and picked up the certificate. She told us that she would keep it safe for us and would bring it back to Michigan. We could come see her and then she would give it back to us. It was so sweet because this was her first day at Disney and she was already getting into everything. She took that certificate really seriously and talked about it several times throughout our trip.

After we finished dinner and headed out, Kris and I along with Page and Amanda took the rental car and headed over to the All Star Movies resort to drop off the Welcome Bags for his family (the only people staying at the value resort). As we were driving, Kris kept asking ďwhere is this place?Ē I told him these resorts are pretty far out. Once we got there he was gripping about why his mom had stayed there. I told him she said that she was booking the cheapest place possible (itís not that she couldnít afford to stay at POR she was just opposed to spending any $ really at Disney.) He told me, ďweíre never staying here; itís just too far out.Ē Iíve stayed at the value resorts before and donít mind them, but I definitely think they are oriented more towards families with little kids.

Page and Kris taking the bags inside:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld418.jpg

On our way over to All Stars, Kris got a call from his best man saying that he was in Atlanta on his layover. Kris thought he was joking since most of the groomsmen werenít coming in until the next day (in fact they had all booked a room together for the weekend). Apparently, he wasnít and he really was in Atlanta. How can you mix up your arrival date? After the Magical Express fiasco that morning with Krisí early arrival we decided to have Kris drive to the airport later that night to pick him up. Kris was already sleeping on the trundle in the room with my parents and I, so Page and Amanda offered to let Jeff stay with them. They were definitely a lifesaver!

After dropping off the stuff, we then had just enough time to make it to Downtown Disney by 9 p.m. We were supposed to be meeting Kristen (Kristen14) a fellow Disbride :bride: whose home state is also Michigan and her husband Rob at Ghiradelli. They were in Orlando for the weekend to attend a baby shower for one of Kristenís friends. We had also invited some members of our bridal party, but they didnít end up making it.

Here is a picture of us with Kristen and Rob:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld419.jpg

We all had a great time and sat there talking for over an hour; the guys were huddling together and the 3 of us girls sat down at a table. While we were talking about the wedding, Amanda got a little emotional and said that she was so happy for Kris and I and was honored to be a part of the wedding. It was so nice to hear her say that and it made me get a little teary too. When her and Page got married they just did the courthouse thing and I think she regrets it. She was so excited to be a part of a real wedding and Iím glad she was able to be one of my bridesmaids.

During our conversation, Kristen shared some good advice about her actual wedding day. One important thing she said was that she wished she would have told Anna that she wanted her hairstyle different after it was done. I took this advice on the morning of my wedding. It was way too curly and wasnít as smooth of a look that I had hoped for, so I asked her to redo it and fix it. Iím so glad I had Anna make the change! Hopefully, weíll get to meet again on one of their trips up to visit Kristenís family in Michigan.

Afterwards we all walked down to the Westside where Rob and Page checked out the cigar shop and Kris and I went to the Virgin store. At this point, Amanda looked like she was ready to fall asleep since they had left their house around 4 that morning to catch their flight. We went back to the hotel and then Kris and Page headed out to pick up Jeff at the airport. We finally fell into bed around 1 a.m.

That is HIGHlarious - if he thought the All-Stars were far, he shoulda seen the where my inlaws' condo was! It took them like 45 minutes to get to WDW. I wish they had only been in the boonies of the All-Stars...:rotfl:

Thank you, thank you! It was so much fun putting them together and our guests really appreciated them, so that made it all worth while.

My tink shirt really came in handy, my MOH did a great job at picking it out for me as a gift!

They were a lot of fun! I forgot the two of you met up too after your weddings. On our last day we ran into two more Disney brides (on accident) so youíll have to stay tuned. :surfweb:

My matron of honor and her husband stayed way off property too! They were staying with all of us for two nights prior to the wedding, but before that they were about that far away too. The funny thing was that after the wedding her husband booked rooms on the hotel plaza boulevard by DTD because he said he was tired of being ďoff baseĒ :rotfl2: (heís a National Guard Recruiter).

Thank you for the compliment on the bags, it was so exciting to see everyone enjoying the things in them throughout the week!

I am way better than before, but I still have therapy 3 times per week :upsidedow I mainly have trouble with my pelvis staying in place which can cause some pain in my hips too, so if I do too much walking and/or sitting in place for a while it will slip out. The day of the wedding I was well stocked with muscle relaxers and pain pills!

Day 3 ~

One of the ladies from Carolyn Allen's arrived at 9:30 a.m. to finish the steaming on the dresses. I had shipped mine down in advance, so she just had to do my veil, one bridesmaid dress, and my grandma's dress. Here are some pictures when we shipped mine from Michigan:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/TuxProgram034.jpg
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/TuxProgram041.jpg

While she was working on them, Amanda (one of my bridesmaids) offered to help put together the favor bags for our rehearsal dinner:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld420.jpg

After she was done with the steaming, Amanda and I drove my dad over to the Dolphin to pick up the second car for the guys to use to head out to the Detroit Tigers Spring Training game in Lakeland. (This was also something else that was done in the wee hours, I made the reservation the night before online in our room before going to be at around 1 a.m.) What I found out was that the car rental that was in my name could have Kris' name added for one day for only $10 which meant my dad didn't have to rent as big of a car.

When we got to the Alamo desk at the Dolphin the guy at the counter wasn't going to let me changeover Kris' name because he wasn't there (he sent me with his license because he stayed back at the hotel to some of the groomsmen to try on their tuxes). I again used the wedding as an excuse and said that I was almost his wife and that we needed to have this changed, etc., etc. The guy at the counter looked around and then slid the paper across the counter to me. He whispered for me to just sign Kris' name for him ;)

We then got the second vehicle and headed back to POR. On the way there, my dad was several vehicles in front of us and there was some problems with the traffic signals. Amanda and I got caught at the left-hand turn light (there was a cop right by us) which was not working at all. After 15 minutes we finally made it through the light. When we arrived back at POR, the guys were all lined up ready to head out to the game. For some reason I didn't get any pictures! Here are some pictures of the stadium that we took later in the week on our way to Tampa.

After Amanda and I gave them the car we went to catch a bus to Magic Kingdom. After waiting for nearly 25 minutes we decided it was going to be a waste of time. It was already 12:30 p.m. and we wouldn't be able to do anything at the park. We just ran into the food court and grabbed a sandwich to split to tide us over until the tea. We then headed back to Amanda's room and got dressed for the tea. We all met up and took the bus to the Magic Kingdom and then headed over to the Grand Floridian on the monorail :cutie:

My mom and I found some hats at a great price, so we invited anyone who had a hat to bring one, as you'll see a lot of the ladies and girls did which made it a lot of fun!

Amanda, Marquitta (matron of honor) and I on the monorail:

In SoCal a few weeks ago, DBF got added as a second driver. The guy asked if we were married when I was picking up the car and we said yes and there was no extra charge. Does California recognize common law marriage? (PA doesn't anymore:rolleyes1 )

We used Avis. I had them when I was in Ireland and we had an accident there (nothing major). They let us switch me to the primary driver because at the time Mastercard was the only credit card with rental coverage and I had purchased the trip on the MC, my BF at the time had used his AmEx card, but it didn't cover rentals in Ireland. It saved us over $1k in repairs.

The one on the street is one of my momís favorites too. We were in the Magic Kingdom for quite a while. I think we arrived over at MGM shortly after 8 a.m., so we spent almost 2 hours in the Magic Kingdom. I was surprised that we didnít get back to our hotel until after 9 a.m. I thought it would be much shorter :yay:

Yes, we did the early shoot at 6 a.m. and arrived over at MGM around 8 a.m. We were gone from our hotel for almost 3 hours. The photographer said that he took over 350 shots; I canít wait until the 3 year mark to buy the CD! Yes, Disney floral did do the bouquet; it was funny because the lady who was delivering said to me that she thought it was going to look like a baby shower decorations when she started (because of the pastels) but she said in the end she really liked it. I never thought about how it matched the ads, youíre right :rotfl:

WOW!! Those Magic Kingdom shots are AMAZING!!!!!!!!
your pictures are so beautiful!!!!
Absolutely beautiful pictures Vanessa!! :thumbsup2
Your photo shoots were just beautiful!!! Congrats!
Thank you  :cool1: :cheer2:

OMG. Those were simply beautiful, that first one with your bodice and bouquet is mesmerizing.
If I may say, it also looked grueling:faint: (not your dress, the entire shoot!)
How long did it take? I see where you started it was not light yet, and then it was full day light. You did not look it at all, but I would have been exhausted!
Thank you for sharing!
The one with my bouquet was a last minute add-on as we were leaving the park to head back to the hotel. I mentioned how the flowers didnít arrive early, so Randy wasnít able to get a lot of shots of them so Paul offered to take a couple and it was awesome! We met Paul at 6:00 a.m. and didnít get back to our hotel until a little after 9:00 a.m. We had to take a nap before we headed to the parks that day! :upsidedow

I already have Paul on request, I requested him when I made my reservations. I have seen a few other brides pictures that looked amaziing and Paul was their photographer. His shots are amazing! I was actually hoping yours was another photographer that way I could say I wanted Paul or whoever you had. Also did you tip him?
To be honest, I didnít think about it, so no. Maybe we should have  We did get Marion and her assistant gift cards, but I didnít tip any of the Disney staff.

oh is that paul looper?? i have him on request as well after summers pics i know!! i have 5 months to wait! its listed on my beo so i'm hoping!!
Iím not sure what his last name is, but I know when I called to request Paul they knew exactly who I wanted. I requested directly through Disney Photography too, so I knew that they had it on file.

Your pictures are beautiful. And I love your bouquet. I hope you have some pictures of it when you get to that part of your TR.

Very much enjoying your report so far. And I agree with the others - awesome job on the welcome bags, you were absolutley an amazing host. Looking forward to reading the rest popcorn::
I was really pleased with the bouquet. I have some more detailed shots of it for the TR, so donít worry. I am also having it preserved by Keepsake and I canít wait to see it again! I was so excited to see the bags come together after I had the stuff hanging around the house for months and months

I definitely agree and make sure to touch base with Disney Photography too.

I was so excited to get shots in all the different places. We literally walked through the park stopping where we wanted to take shots at MGM. I guess they donít allow vehicles on the streets there as late, so Paul had us walk in order to maximize our time there :cool1:

Here are the invitations that we used for the bridal tea. I know that the Wonderland Tea is something completely different, but I used the image anyway. None of my guests knew the difference :rotfl: and when I found it on the Creative Board I couldn't resist using it! We bought the tea bag favors on eBay and attached the Alice invite to the back, they looked like they were one thing with a front and back because I printed them to fit the squares.

I couldn't resist them when I saw them on eBay. I was originally going to hand them out at the tea, but I know when you book it they tell you that you're not allowed to hand out any gifts while you're in the restaurant. Why, I'm not sure though

Before I get into the tea, I thought I should tell a side story about the adventures that the guys had when they went to see the Detroit Tigers play a spring training game against the Cleveland Indians that afternoon in Lakeland (about 35 minutes away from Disney.)

Kris had ordered 10 tickets through group reservations back in January. I actually was sitting next to him on the sofa when he did this and I was the one that gave him the group reservations number. They gave us a confirmation number and the tickets were supposed to be available at the box office once we got down there. We were paying the cost for all the guys involved with the wedding and then other guests that had decided to join were suppose to reimburse Kris once they got there. Besides the two groomsmen (that had already arrived), two of the bridesmaids husbands went, along with 4 of my cousins, my dad, and one of our hostesses (she is 12 and is not into getting dressed up fancy and would prefer to be with the guys.)

When they got to the stadium Kris called me (right before we were leaving POR) and asks for the confirmation number again. I give it to him and then he calls back a little while later when weíre leaving to say that they messed up our order and that they only held 1 ticket. The absurd thing is that why would group reservations allow you to buy only one ticket? They have a separate line for groups (which we called) and he had reserved 10 seats (because I overheard the entire conversation!)

There were still seats available, but they were only on the lawn. Kris and the guys were okay with that, but my family wasnít going for it. Kris had offered the one seat to my cousin who had knee surgery the week before, but my dad and some of the other relatives were not willing to sit on the lawn, so they decided to head back to Disney. My other cousin and her husband and kids had met up with all of them down there (they live in the Villages, a retirement community between Ocala and Orlando). She even offered one of their seats, but they still didnít want to stay.

So, my dad and cousins loaded back into their SUV and headed back towards Disney. Along the way they stopped for lunch and went shopping at the Outlets. Kris and the guys still had a great time at the game despite the confusion. I felt bad for him when he called because I know everyone gave him a hard time about it and it honestly wasnít his fault!

Now back to the teaÖ when our bus arrived at the Magic Kingdom my mom and I had to run to go through security for the park because I needed to exchange my annual pass voucher, so I could purchase our Disney Dining Experience card. I would love to have seen my mom and I running from the bus up to the security check :rotfl: My mom took off her shoes and hat while we were running. It was about 20 minutes before the scheduled time for the tea.

We got through security within a few minutes and didnít have to wait in line at Guest Services. I got everything taken care of and then we rushed out of the exit. Everyone else was just passing that area by the boat docks since they had to wait for my grandmaís scooter to get unloaded from the bus, so we had perfect timing. I wanted to get the DDE card because it would save us 20% at the tea and on a bill of over $250 that is a lot of money!

We then jumped on the resort monorail and headed to the Grand Floridian. Repeat pictures, sorry it just goes better with the flow of the story.

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld423.jpg

As we were getting off the monorail my maid of honor called because she was already there with her mom. I told her we were upstairs and she went to check us in at the lounge. Thankfully, by the time we all got downstairs with the scooter, etc. we were only about 5 minutes late. The tea room was almost deserted which was nice because we had a large area to ourselves. They had us divided at 3 separate tables.

My mom and I (I know someone else got a better shot of this picture, I just havenít gotten it yet!)

You have to pre-select a menu for everyone at the tea and I had chosen the following:
Buckingham Palace - traditional tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts complemented by fresh strawberries and cream, or a selection of freshly baked pastries, along with choice of tea. $19.50 per guest

Kylie had Mrs. Potts Tea - variety of tea sandwiches, tuna salad, ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly on white bread. Mad Hatter tea (chocolate milk), followed by a choice of two pastries $10.50 per guest (after seeing that that my MOH didnít eat anything from her tea except the pastries I wish I would have asked if she could have had this selection too because I think she would have enjoyed it more :) ; sheís a pretty picky eater.)

They come around at first and allow you to select the type of tea that you want to have served. I have been here one other time and fell in love with their Gardenview Blend which is exclusive to the tea room, so I had to have that again!
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld433.jpg

The first course was the tea sandwiches. These included a chicken salad mixture, egg salad, some form of pear, and a cucumber with water chestnut. There was also an onion quiche that was amazing!
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld434.jpg

They were all pretty yummy! Judi ended up passing around her plate and we all took seconds of our favorites.

The next course was a white grape scone with a jam tart.

Marquitta eating a second jam tart from Judi: http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld-2.jpg

Then the final course- pastries!!!! :woohoo:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld445.jpg
You also had a choice of strawberries and cream, only Marquitta at our table picked these. They looked great too, but who can resist chocolate?

Afterwards, everything had to be put on one bill in order to get the DDE discount. I had been saving cash and Disney dollars to pay for the ladies in the bridal party and immediate family.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld449.jpg

Everyone else gave us some cash, here is Marquitta as the moneykeeper.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld450.jpg

After we left the restaurant, I ran into the gift shop in the lobby to look for bridal ears since POR had not had any in the store there. I knew there are usually lots of wedding things there and I struck gold! The funny thing is that when I walked out I got chastised by my MOH because she was planning to buy them for me to wear at the Pirate and Princess party that night.

Our group ended up splitting up at this point, some people were going back to the hotel and five of us decided to head off to Epcot. We had brought our clothes with us and headed out to change. Here is where I need to add a side note, Krisí luggage had not completely arrived yet after the fiasco with the Magical Express from the previous day. One of his bags (with his clothes) had finally arrived that morning, but a second that had wedding stuff in it had not (we thought this is where our wedding favors were the entire time.) I was originally suppose to bring the favors over to Franckís after the tea and I was suppose to pick up the Mickey purse that Laura had dropped off for me. Since we didnít have his bag yet, we just went to pick up the purse. Marquitta followed us over to Franckís where we decided to change so she could take all of our bags back to the resort for us. On our way over to Franckís and inside while we were picking up the purse:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld451.jpg

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld454.jpg

Marquitta was going back to meet Patriece (the last bridesmaid) who had arrived and was going to check to see if our room was ready since I had checked in earlier that morning and it wasnít cleaned yet. I had a room for the next two nights that Marquitta, Patriece, and I would be sharing. Marquittaís husband was also sending her to pick up a new car at the airport (another bit of drama which will come into play later). Anyway, here are some pictures at Franckís after we changed. Marquitta and her husband had been staying off property up until Saturday then he moved into a room with the guys and Marquitta moved into my room.

After I was changed sporting my new ears and my Disney bride shirt :bride: :
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld455.jpg http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Bridal%20Tea/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld456.jpg

Marquitta then headed back to the Grand to meet some of my cousins that were waiting to go to the resort with her and then we headed towards the Polynesian to take the monorail to Epcot. In the meantime, Judi called because she had come over to Franckís to find us and missed us because there was a wedding getting out at the same time. She ended up taking heading over to Epcot on her own and met us by the gates since she had her scooter with her and was already back on the monorail before we reached the Polynesian. When we got to the monorail station, I asked the attendant if we could ride in the front since this was Amanda and my cousinís first trip to Disney:

I wanted people to see the other side of Disney that we all love. I think I converted some people into Disney fans by the end of the weekend

I was so glad that I didn't have too much trouble getting around when we were down there this time. I did have to take some breaks when we were walking (more than usual) and I was able to get a massage at the GF spa to help with some relief, but I am definitely on the mend. Hey Vanessa-

Loving your trip report! The tea sounds fun! Love all you girls in your hats!
Not a tea drinker, but I told DF I wanted a tea! :rotfl: Also, no bridal party! Me alone (in a cute hat) at tea! Actually, sounds lovely!!!

Love your shirt! Cant wait to hear more!!!

Sandy, the Garden View Tea Room is so much fun. I think it would be a nice relaxing afternoon to enjoy it by yourself :goodvibes I actually might have to do that some time, it sounds heavenly!

I am so loving your TR!!! I love to read about people's weddings! You have done such a great job,you should be a wedding planner yourself! I can't wait for more!

My DH has bugged me for years about doing something like thatÖ I have coordinated a lot of major events/fundraisers with several hundred people which definitely helped in this whole process. I have thought about doing a side business to help destination brides handling newsletters and gift bags. After going through this myself I know how much work it can really be :rotfl:

I wish I could write faster, I can't wait to get to the wedding day! :yay:

Yes, I do know about E tickets :goodvibes They talked a lot about them when I did a tour at Disneyland ďA Walk in Waltís FootstepsĒ

When we headed out from the tea, I was so excited, we had been at Disney for 3 days and I had not gone into any parks yet. I kept telling people I just wanted to go do something fun that was not wedding related!

After making our way to Epcot, we grabbed some shots in front of the Spaceship Earth and then Judi came over to meet us. We knew we were short on time, so we wanted to hit up whatever was open. Spaceship Earth had a relatively short line and I was excited to see its updates. Since Judi had her scooter we got to go through the handicap entrance which saved even more time!

A shot of Judi and I from the ride:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld468.jpg

This shot is a little fuzzy, but you can see Amanda, Judi and I in it:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld473.jpg

We then went to check out the time board to see what had a decent wait time. I wanted to do Figment, but Judi insisted on Living Seas since we would be there for the wedding in two days. I’m not a fan of the Nemo redo, I like Turtle Talk with Crush, but the clam ride thing is kind of boring. I preferred it years ago when you rode in similar cars and just got to look at the aquarium without the character stuff added.

Judi smiling in the background and my mom looking a little caught off guard:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld475.jpg

After we got out of Living Seas the guys starting calling us nonstop because they were back at POR and wanted to know when they needed to head to the campground. On top of everything, my phone was already dying from all the calls that day. Kris also couldn’t find Patriece to have her ride over with them (she was actually in our room, but I guess they didn’t think to check there  ) and Marquitta had gone to the airport because her husband wanted a different car because he thought it was the greatest thing being able to exchange cars for free (forgetting the time, gas, and tolls that go into every switch :upsidedow)
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0513.jpg
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0514.jpg

The guys ended up heading out and Patriece finally called me. I gave her directions on how to get Fort Wilderness and then we decided it would be better for us to head out too. The hayride wasn’t until 8 p.m., but we wanted to check out the campfire program beforehand too. Here were my invitations that I made for the Welcome Party:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Hayride/WelcomeParty-Invitation.jpg

We took the bus to Fort Wilderness and then transferred to one to head to the area with the campfire program. The guys were already back by Pioneer Hall and were trying to decide if they were staying there or if they would come up to meet us. We got there before the movie while the ranger was leading the sing-a-long with Chip and Dale.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Hayride/chipanddale.jpg

We didn’t stay here too long. I think it would have been much better if they would have gotten to the singing, but the ranger was doing some banter back and forth with Chip and Dale and this was kind of overdone and her voice was a little irritating. I also would have loved to see the movie that was suppose to play a little later too. Monsters, Inc. was going to start right before we left for the hayride. The campfire program is nice and I think if you went just for the movie it would be better. They had campfires set up where you could roast marshmallows which would have been yummy! If you don’t have kids I suggest skipping the sing-a-long part and go straight for the movie.

By this point, we headed out and decided to walk to Pioneer Hall since we thought it couldn’t be too far. It actually wasn’t too bad of a walk, it took about 15 minutes to get there. Kris called in the meantime because they had went to the campfire area, so they walked to catch up with us.

When we got to Pioneer Hall it was nice to see that a lot of our guests had already arrived. This was nice because we hadn’t gotten to see everyone yet. I also got a call from Patriece at this time saying that she was on the boat on her way over from Magic Kingdom. Kris and I walked over to the dock to meet her. I was excited because I hadn’t gotten to see her since her arrival earlier in the afternoon.

By the time we got back over in front of Pioneer Hall Marquitta called and said she was running late and wouldn’t make the hayride. Judi and her parents decided to grab dinner at Trails End (they weren’t planning to go on the hayride anyway) so we could meet in front afterwards to head over for the Pirate and Princess Party. pirate:

The wagon then pulled up and they said that we could start loading. During this time my mom started looking for her cousin (their family was driving in from the Villages and had went to the game earlier, but hadn’t arrived in Orlando yet). She ran down to catch her at the buses and they ended up at the wagon, so we had to send someone to get my mom!
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Hayride/wagon.jpg

The hayride was a lot of fun especially for the kids. It was a nice peaceful retreat compared to all the running around that we had done. Also, it was the first time we had a large group of everyone together since their arrivals in Orlando. We spent quite a bit of time in the woods and they pulled on the beach where we could see the castle and Space Mountain (sorry about the quality of the picture)

Patriece:

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Hayride/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld488.jpg

In the middle of the ride, Kris started getting calls from his best man (and cousin, the one who arrived early and we had to go pick up the night before) because he wanted to know where everyone was at (he never read anything that we gave him for the schedule) He doesn’t like sports and didn’t go with the guys to the game and went to see a movie at DTD instead. Apparently he was upset and had gone to get his own hotel room at one of the places on Hotel Plaza Boulevard by Downtown Disney. Kris then called Nich (the other groomsman) that had arrived around that time and sent him to catch up with Jeff.

The private hayride was a lot of fun and was an affordable option for a family friendly welcome party :thumbsup2 We went this route since we couldn’t afford to add a huge event, but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and it was something that no one expected out of Disney. The total ride lasted almost an hour. I originally thought it was only supposed to be 40 minutes, so that was a bonus. They took us through a large area of the campsites and up to the front by all the stables too.

It did get kind of confusing with so many people, but thankfully it all worked out in the end :)

The hayride was so much fun for everyone; I highly recommend renting the wagon! It will hold 30-35 people depending on the ratio of kids to adults. We had 28 and still had plenty of space since there is a seat all along the center of the wagon too. I definitely think the birdcage veil is a must! :rotfl:

It was just a short walk down from where they have the campfire. I really wanted some marshmallows after I saw everyone walking around with theirs :yay:

Hi Vanessa

I just read your entire TR and now I'm up to date. I absolutely love the welcome bags. That I nice idea to have totes. So far everything looks great. I so wished I got married at Disney but I didn't know that existed. I have been married for 11 years but I am planning on doing a VR for our 25th so I'm getting some ideas from the wedding planning. Can't wait for more pictures, the ones that I have seen are great.

I'm so glad that your enjoying my TR so far. I really wanted to have something that people would use again in the future, so that's why I went with the totes. It was great to actually see people using them later in the week :goodvibes

I think a VR at Disney would be fantastic! My matron of honor sent me a text message the day after the wedding saying that she had so much fun that she couldn't wait until we planned a VR for 10 years. The funny thing is that we never mentioned a VR, so I think it was a hint for us to plan one :rotfl:

This post has a lot of pictures from our Photo Pass CD which just came in a couple days ago. My parents bought this for us from our honeymoon registry and it was such a great gift. By the time I added borders and changed different pictures we had 299 shots on it. I also had several people (it only works if people haven’t registered their cards online yet) in our group give me their Photopass numbers, so their images could be added to the disk. :thumbsup2

My MOH had originally planned for us to go to Pleasure Island or even City Walk at Universal for my bachelorette party, but I’m not a drinker and not big on dancing either (I do ballet and other choreographed stuff as a hobby, so club dancing isn’t really my thing.) Marquitta and Amanda aren’t really club people plus (we later found out) Patriece was pregnant, so she wouldn’t have had too much fun either. After a lot of thought she came up with the idea of the 5 of us going to the Pirate and Princess Party instead. When she asked me what I thought I said of course, it sounded great to me! pirate: princess:

Judi met us in front of the Trails End Restaurant (next to Pioneer Hall) right after the hayride. She had goodie bags for all of us girls. The gift bags had a picture frame, Disney princess chocolates, a light up butterfly wand, and some hand lotion (I need to take a picture to post.) She also brought tiaras and wings for everyone to wear. After all, you can’t go to the P&P without getting dressed up a little. Since the hayride wasn’t over until around 8:45 p.m. the party had already started at Magic Kingdom, so we knew we would miss a few things.

Here are some shots of us getting all decked out:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pirate%20and%20Princess/100_0532.jpg

The four of us ready to head out:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pirate%20and%20Princess/100_0539.jpg

At this point, Marquitta was not at the campground to meet us like was originally planned. We called her cell and found out that her clothes were still in my parents’ room from earlier that morning and she was still wearing her dress from the tea! She was held up because they had switched rental cars all the way over at the airport. We decided to send Kris back to meet her with her ticket to get into the park. She was supposed to call us once she arrived (which ends up being really late.)

The guys were also supposed to send a couple other things with Marquitta too. Amanda had made her own wings that she had accidentally forgot in the room and I wanted my jacket. Marquitta has never been to Disney before and I had wanted to walk inside the park with her to see her face when she first saw the castle (there’s nothing like bringing new people to Disney). Plus, she’s a huge fan of Disney- knows all the movies, songs, etc.

We then all jumped on the boat to the Magic Kingdom. Once we got there the guys went to catch a bus to POR and we headed into the park.

It was so cool how they had the fog set up in the tunnels going into the park. When we got inside we immediately headed towards the castle for a group shot. We also wanted to check out the fireworks which were just getting ready to start.

After we got our shot we decided we were starving, but had found out the fireworks were getting ready to start, so we staked out a place to watch them. I donít have any pictures because I decided to video, so Marquitta could see them later. I have to admit these fireworks were AWESOME!!! pixiedust: I have seen the regular fireworks as well as the Very Merry Christmas Party show plus ones at Disneyland and these were by far the best. There was fire and lights shooting off the castle and all kinds of really cool effects. I highly recommend the party just to see these fireworks. Unfortunately, we had missed the parade which I have heard is also really good.

When the fireworks ended, Marquitta called and said she was just leaving POR. We were all hungry, so we headed into Adventureland. I was going to get a Dole Whip (something that Marquitta had been really wanting to try too) but we decided we wanted real food, so we were going to head to Pecos Bill for hamburgers. On the way, we hit up some of the treasure spots and rode Pirates of the Caribbean. We got crowns and beads and the treasures spots. There was also an area to get pictures with Jack Sparrow, but the line was 1 hour and we didnít have the time to wait!
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pirate%20and%20Princess/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld512.jpg

Waiting for more treasures:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pirate%20and%20Princess/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld513.jpg

When we got off Pirateís they had a lot of the P&P merchandise too. Judi kept trying to get me to buy a sweatshirt because I was a little cold, but Iím from Michigan I could survive. Plus, I really didnít want to shell out $30 for a sweatshirt that I didnít really need.

After that we finally made it to Pecos Billís. Amanda and I got in line for burgers and Judi went to help Patriece find a turkey leg. Before we came to Florida Patriece had told me the only thing she wanted to do the entire weekend was to get a turkey leg (she has only been to the Magic Kingdom on prior trips and always gets one to eat.) Anyway, they came back a few minutes later because the cart was closed. Then Marquitta called and said she was up front (this was already 11:00 p.m.) so Judi decided to use her scooter to race up to the front to find her. While Judi was gone, she picked me up the sweatshirt, which I thought was really sweet!

Amanda, Patriece, and I used this time to ride the Haunted Mansion. They squeezed us all into one buggy. We arenít little girls to start with and the wings added made it an interesting ride!

Amanda finally got the wings and skirt that she made. Judi told everyone that we were dressing up, so she these for herself. Thankfully, Marquitta was able to bring them over.

Topiary along the way in line for pictures:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pirate%20and%20Princess/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld516.jpg

When we got out they called and met us out front. We then headed into Fantasyland where we got tons of pictures with the Cinderella Carriage. The photographer was really friendly; she did individual shots and some in groups. But, as you can see the quality of Disney Photography can really vary. Some of them look fuzzy to me though, maybe itís just me or it could be the lighting.

Marquitta makes her first appearance:

We have always done a Charlieís Angels pose since college. We got some better ones the day of the wedding. I swear I look orange in this picture!

The entire group:

Everyone is supposed to look like theyíre tired of waiting on me in this shot. I was supposed to be the princess for the evening. princess:

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pirate%20and%20Princess/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld519.jpg

I think we rode Itís a Small World at this Point, but Iím not sure. I know we did head over to Philharmagic next. Marquitta was singing so loud to all the songs, it was really cute. I only wish she could have spent more time in the park. This was the only time besides our dessert party and wedding that she went to any of the parks. I think she would love it and would really enjoy bringing her 3 kids too (twins- boy & girl- that are 2 Ĺ and a little girl that is 16 months).

We went into the gift shop with all the Donald stuff and Judi and I both bought some P&P pins. I have put all my pins that I picked up during the wedding on a corkboard picture frame that I had, so I need to take a picture to post.

At this point the park was closing and the party was over, so we started heading back towards the front. All of us together at last:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pirate%20and%20Princess/image055.jpg

By the time we got on the bus we were exhausted. The guys had called a little while earlier to find out what time we were going to be done. They were still out, so Iím not sure why it mattered. I told Kris I still needed help wrapping all the gifts for the rehearsal. Marquitta, Patriece, and I were staying together in my room that night and Kris was going to be in with the guys. We had both moved our stuff out of my parentís room.

Anyway, by the time we got back Judi went to her room and then called saying that her mom had volunteered to wrap! This was such a relief; obviously none of the girls could wrap their own gifts. I still had to sit up and right out the cards, but I didnít mind that at all. Judi then headed back to our room to grab everything that I had sorted in bags for her mom.

I was a little worried by the time we finished because it was almost 2 a.m. and no sign of the guys. They had threatened a strip club, but I doubted that any of them would really do that type of thing. I was also a little worried because Kris is not a drinker (he will have one or two a few times a year) so I didnít want them to get him drunk either. It turned out they had just went to a sports bar to watch a game and had met up with Markís (Marquittaís husband) friend from Tampa, so I guess we had more fun after all! When they got back Kris ended up crashing in Pageís room.

Up nextÖ the rehearsal and ESPN weekend

I actually added them through the Photopass web site. When we said we wanted to buy the CD one of the photographers told us to wait until we got home because we could add frames and create completely new pictures. We started out with only about 180 on the photopasses but by the time we made new pictures I had 299! :thumbsup2

Thanks Vanessa. That good to know. At DL, they only have so many boarders and in the parks they have different ones, so thats why I asked.

The next day we got up relatively early and got ready to head out for the rehearsal. We told everyone to meet at 9:15 a.m. Most people ended up congregating in front of my parentís room, so we ended up leaving from there. We did have to send someone up to the lobby to catch the few people that actually followed directions. Little did we know one of Krisí groomsmen, Sean, accidentally got left behind. He ended up taking a cab over to the Beach Club to meet us, but we both felt bad about forgetting him! :guilty: Guess what else I forgot? On my last day of being a single woman I forgot to wear any jewelry which included my engagement ring. Imagine going to your wedding rehearsal without your engagement ring on your finger! :rotfl:

We were a little short on space in the rental cars. We timed it so the second rental car that we got for 1 day did not have to be back until 11:30 a.m. that way we could use it to take people over to the Beach Club. Since it had to be returned at the Dolphin someone could run that car over after we had dropped everyone off for the rehearsal. Marquitta still had her rental too, so they volunteered to drive which was a great help. We were still a little squished and had to pile several people in the back of the SUV. Imagine pulling up to the Beach Club and having all these people pile out of the back of a vehicle; it was pretty funny!!!
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/Car.jpg

After we dropped everyone off since it was still around 9:45 a.m., I rode with Mark and we followed my dad over to the Dolphin to drop off the car. When we got back we heard about the fiasco of accidentally leaving Sean behind, but thankfully he had arrived by cab to the hotel.

When I got there I got a call from the luggage people at POR. They had finally tracked down our missing bag  It turned out somehow it had been sent back to the airport and went into long-term storage. The lady at the hotel told me that she would call me that afternoon after our rehearsal to let me know what was in it (if the missing favors were there). I thought this was good news, but didn't realize there was still more drama to come surrounding the luggage and our favors.

I then went up to the concierge to find out our new scheduled room. Marion had told me on Friday that we were moved to a new room, but I forgot to write it down. Once that was taken care of we headed out to the conference center. It must have been funny to see our caravan of 25 people walking along. My cousin Josh stayed behind to find a wheelchair to transport my grandma.

On our way, Marion gave me a call to check on our location. Thankfully, we walked in just a couple of minutes after 10 a.m. We saw this waiting for us on the queue:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld152.jpg

We then headed over to the room to get started. Marion let us take this sign for our scrapbook:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/Sign.jpg

Since our minister is a pastor and it was Sunday morning he was not obviously going to be there, so Marion took charge. We had a pretty large room to work in which was nice. I had condensed version of the ďbowĒ bouquet to use for the reception. The flowers had actually been attached to one of my packages at a shower. If any of you notice, we used the Jewish setup for the ceremony with the bride on the right and the groom on the left of the aisle. This has no real significance except that weíre vain. My bad side in photos is my right and Krisí is his left, so we didnít want those sides towards the audience!

Another side note, I have been in a lot of weddings and I insisted that everyone do the step together, step together, etc. walk. I hate when people look like they are running down the aisle, so everyone had to take a few minutes to practice this walk. We also had to explain the walking situation since we had 4 groomsmen, 4 bridesmaids, and 1 bridal attendant (technically a groomsman, but my cousin stood on my side.) What we did is to have Krisí cousin serve as the escort for Krisí mom and then my cousin walked with the 4th bridesmaid.

My dad practicing the flip of the veil. I was going to walk out with it over my face and then he had to flip it before we walked down the aisle.

Hereís a shot of the bouquet:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/100_3230-1-1.jpg

During the rehearsal we had Mark, Marquittaís husband, practice the song that he was going to sing during the ceremony. We wanted to see how long we could stand staring at each other adoringly. The song is titled ďBeautifulĒ and he was following the version sang by Wayne Brady with Jim Brickman. We ended up opting to just have one verse with the chorus. Here are the lyrics:

From the Moment I saw you,
from the moment I looked into your eyes
there was something about you
I knew I knew
that you were once in a life time
a treasure near impossible to find
and I know how lucky I am to have you

Chorus:
Cause I've seen the rainbows that can take your breath away
the beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day
and when it comes to shooting stars, I've seen a few
but I've never seen anything...as beautiful as you

Holding you in my arms
no one else has fit so perfectly
I could dance forever with you, with you
and at the stroke of midnight
please forgive me if I can't let go
cause I never dreamed I'd find a Cinderella of my own

Chorus:
Cause I've seen the rainbows that can take your breath away
the beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day
and when it comes to shooting stars, I've seen a few
but I've never seen anything...as beautiful as you

Chorus repeat:
Cause I've seen the rainbows that can take your breath away
the beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day
and when it comes to shooting stars, I've seen a few
but I've never seen anything...
Oh Oh, Oh no, I've never seen anything...as beautiful as you

from the moment I saw you,
from the moment I looked into your eyes...

I think Kris was really concentrating in this picture.

After we were finished everyone started to file out to head over to the Dolphin for the rehearsal dinner at FRESH. I had to quickly attach the correct cards to the presents that Judiís mom had wrapped so beautifully for me! I also gave Marion a card for her and for her assistant Linda. I ended up getting them both gift cards (I had emailed each one separately asking what places the other liked) I thought this would be the best time to hand them out to her. We had also asked Marion where we could have a few minutes to practice our dance. She had tried to get us in at the Living Seas throughout the weekend, but it was booked pretty solid. She told us that we were welcome to stay in the room to practice for a little while after rehearsal. We put my mom in charge of filing people down to the boat dock to take the boat over to the Dolphin. Our bridal party heading off to the boat:
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/100_3236.jpg

Since we knew it would take them a while, Kris and I along with my dad and Mark and Marquitta stayed for a little while that way we could take the two remaining rental cars over to the Dolphin to meet everyone else. Although, as people were leaving no one could find Krisí mom, she had wandered off in the other direction. We sent Kris to find her and then he disappeared! Finally, Marquitta found both of them and sent his mom to the docks and brought him back to the room. We had brought the laptop to use for the music. Although, we had some problems getting it to start up, but we finally got it!

My dad and I practiced a little too:

Kris and I getting our moves down (Iím giving directions in the first shot). We had taken dance lessons and our entire dance was choreographed. I do ballet with a group and have been in some form of dance since I was 2, so itís no big deal for me. Kris on the other hand felt like it was a real challenge, but our dance ended up turning out great! :dance3:

I found it! I decided to look for your trip report today and was suprised to see that you had 11 pages already! You are so ahead of me girl, with my wedding in October and I still haven't started my trippie. Oh well, I will hopefully start soon...better late than never. The report is awesome so far. I have to say that my favorite pic from the MK was the one of you in the castle archway where it is still dark outside and the tiny bit of light catches your dress and train just right. It's magical! pixiedust: And BTW, I can't wait to hear about the other Dis Bride you ran into the last day of your Disneymoon. I wonder who it could be :rolleyes1

Happy 6 month anniversary! I noticed it on your ticker :goodvibes It was so great running into you at Disney, BTW thanks for the fastpasses. I kicked Kris' butt on Buzz Lightyear!

Vanessa do you have a video from your wedding. I would love to hear the song that your friend's DH sung. It looks very lovely from the words. I like how Wayne Brady sings too. I am so excited as the big day is coming soon. I totally wished I knew that you were able to get married at WDW because I so would have done that. Maybe one of kids will, hehe. But like I said I am having a VR for our 25th, only 13 more years but who's counting.;)

What are the odds of this happening? Two of the airlines for our Hawaii honeymoon have closed due to bankruptcy within the last week. ATA and Aloha Airlines :scared1: We just got the stuff with Aloha fixed on Monday (switched to Hawaiian Air) and now I have to have my travel agent make arrangements because of ATA.

For those of you that didn't follow my planning journal, we were originally suppose to go to Hawaii right after we left Florida and we had to change it a month before we left, so this just adds to the fiascos related to this trip! Thankfully, we have trip insurance, but this trip has had one thing go wrong after another. We better really enjoy paradise once we get there! :flower1:

I've just caught up with your trip report and its been absolutely fantastic! Everything looks like it was SOOO much fun!

After all you have been through over the last few months with your accident and the loss of Chris's Dad, you really DO deserve the honeymoon of a lifetime!! It is paradise on earth!! We went twice in 2006 (Yep, the credit card took a hammering) and I fell deeply in love with the place... and we'll be sure to go back one day.... I also had a frame that had a poem to your parents on your wedding which also got a lot of people crying (I had bought it several years ago long before I was planning a wedding and had put it away because I thought it was so touching):
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld220.jpg

For Kris’ mom we had bought her a one day ticket to the parks. She had been asking us about costs of admission, etc. in the months leading to the wedding, so we thought she wanted to check out the parks. Apparently not because she didn't want the gift! She’s not into "things", so we thought this would be something that she could use (she had only been to Magic Kingdom like 15 years prior). Now we have a 1 day ticket to save for a future trip. We have different tastes, so I wasn’t too insulted. I just thought you were supposed to smile politely and thank someone even when you hate a gift.

My parents bought me a beautiful butterfly bracelet in white and yellow gold. When I was little my nickname was butterfly and I have tons of butterfly things (one of our new bathrooms has butterflies in the dťcor.) It was such a nice surprise; I didn’t expect anything from them since they had already bought Kris and I a washer and dryer for our new condo :laundy: :

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld228.jpg

As a surprise I had ordered a groomscake for Kris from the bakery at the Dolphin. They did a fantastic job. The sheet cake was only $80 and it was a chocolate sponge cake with peanut butter filling. Even though we had all had dessert already we still dug into it! Kris’ nickname has been Moose (he got it in high school) so I just sent them the image and then they created the cake:

http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Rehearsal/WeddingMarch32008WaltDisneyWorld198.jpg

When we first got there they asked if we wanted to offer alcoholic beverages to our guests. We said that we don’t drink and didn’t even want to bother offering our guests the option to purchase it on their own. We figured it was noon on a Sunday people could wait to get a drink. Most people had gone out the night before anyway and we didn’t want the hassle of separate checks. The funny thing was they kept bringing out these fancy flavored teas in glass bottles for our guests. I was thinking that’s cool that they are including those.

Then when we got the final check there was an extra $85 in beverage charges for them. I asked for a manager and told them that when we were asked about alcohol they should have mentioned these drinks too. We never approved them offering beverages at an additional cost. Since we had someone else draw up our original contract (that manager had since left) they took the $85 off without any real hassle which was a relief.

There’s still more to come that day- ESPN weekend, meeting the minister and the favor drama continues!

OMG! your MIL should have better manners! I cant imagine a grown adult acting like that! Gracious-smile-accept and move on! Holy cow-as a mother that is one of the most embarrassing things little boys do when they get gifts(note I say little) 2 of them are better about that now-thank god!

The cake for all the guys sounds like a great idea!

I was a little shocked with his mom. I thought she could have at least taken it and sold it.

I've been dragging my feet on the wedding until I get Randy's pictures, which I'm told won't be until late next week at the earliest. None of our guests got any decent shots, so that was pretty disappointing. :upsidedow

Awww, the photo of your Mom shedding a few tears gave me goosebumps! I have so many nice photos of my Mum and Auntie wiping a few tears away... especially when we gave them their gifts at dinner the night before the wedding!

What IS it with MIL's!?!? Don't even get me started on their ability to be incredibly rude and extremely ungrateful?! They must suddenly forget their manners once their son is getting married! I known mine has upset me greatly and i'm having great difficulty even being civil to her right now... but thats a story for my TR rather than yours!

You will LOVE Hawaii. We never got as far as Maui... We just stayed on Oahu both times we were there and absolutely loved it. I hired a car and drove around the Island and walked along some of the most stunning beaches I have ever seen in my life! It was such a chill out vacation for us...

... Plus Waikiki has an AMAZING Cheesecake Factory *drools* :cloud9:

Vanessa, I am really enjoying your report and all your pictures. It looks like everyone had a great time at the tea and the pirate and princess party. Eagerly, waiting to hear about the wedding!

The food at Fresh looks so good and the groom's cake looks delicious! I was considering going to Cape May for a rehearsal meal either breakfast or dinner but now I am considering Fresh!

Wow! Your mother in law refused the park pass in front of everyone! She could have accepted it graciously and given it away afterwards. I hoped she "behaved" for the rest of the trip!

(As far as I know all Canadians call it pop but In Bermuda, they call it soda.

I am definitely glad to know that I'm not the only one with MIL drama. Although, one thing that I can say is that despite her complaints over Disney she took me aside at our dessert party and told me that the wedding was beautiful. Coming from a lady that hated the fact the wedding was going to be in Florida, I felt like that was a huge compliment :thumbsup2

I will have to try to check out the Cheesecake Factory in Waikiki. I haven't been to one of those in years and the last one I went to was in Orlando :rotfl:

FRESH was great and they were really easy to work with for everything. I have the contact information if you need it. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, so it really depends on the timing of your rehearsal. Everyone raved about the food. I've heard the breakfast is great too.

Maybe that's why Michiganders go with the word "pop" heck we even accept Canadian change at all our stores and banks!

Here in Illinois we call it soda or sodie. Your rehearsal dinner looked great! I loved all the Pirate stuff. (I am a huge, no, I mean HUGE HUGE HUGE POTC fan!) Your goodie bags looked almost exactly like the ones I made for everyone that attended the Not So Scary Halloween Party with us the night before the wedding.
Also, I have been to Maui and I have a must do for you and your honey. There is the road called the Road to Hana. It is sooooooo long and windy and has a great number of one lane bridges, but is soooooo worth it. It is free and follows a winding two lane road along the beach. There are many stops along the way, most of them being national parks with waterfalls and such. You can visit the black sand beach and at the end of the long journey you find the 7 sacred pools...a bunch of pools that spill into each other off of cliffs and then empty into the ocean. You can even swim in these pools. The journey is so beautiful and you can take it at your own pace. Just make sure to pack a lunch and take your time. Oh, yea and one more tip. Get a Road to Hana self guided tour CD at one of the local shops before you leave. It really makes the journey even more fun. OK, and one more tip, make sure to stop at the little road side stand that is half way to Hana and get a shaved ice...so good...and stop at any local road side stands. They always sell very nice things that are hand made for cheap. They just put a blanket down on the side of the road and sell their stuff. It's a must do girl. If you have time I also suggest eating at Bubba Gumps along the beach at Lahina and shopping all the little stores alongside. And the Old Lahina Luau is not to be missed. Ok, so PM me if you want more tips. I think I have hijacked your thread enough here:rotfl:

Those bags from Target were such a great deal, weren't they!

Thanks for the tips on Maui. We have been debated about Hana because we're only on that island for 2 days, but I've heard so many great things about it so I'm thinking we'll probably end up doing it after all. Black sand beaches are so cool... I went to one in Jamaica (my one bridesmaid is from there and she took us to a lot of non-tourist areas on the island) we went to a place called Alligator Pond that had black sand. I don't think Kris has seen anything like that in person though.

I'm trying to put together our itinerary for Hawaii, so I will probably be PMing you in the next couple of days. Thanks!

It was so strange to see the polar opposite reactions from our two moms to their gifts. It makes me thankful that my mom belongs to me :goodvibes

HEY, FIGMENT-WOMAN! A WORD IF YOU DON'T MIND?!

Now, I've been away from the boards for about a week and I've been looking forward to your TR and what do I find? Hmmm? NO WEDDING DAY!!

Love the TR so far, do you think your MIL was embarrassed by receiving a present or just ungrateful? it's a real shame you had that but it sounds like you part expected it.

The restaurant at the Dolphin looks really nice. We might have to check that out when we are there. We only got as far as the bridge one night when we stayed at the Boardwalk and didn't find time for the mini golf.

Thanks, it was a relief to have them done. We're still waiting to mail them out until we get our CD from Randy. We got individual shots with each family and I wanted to include a print with each card. :)

:guilty: I know, I am way behind. After being gone for two days this weekend plus no free time at work this week (we're on productions away from the office today and tomorrow). I promise to get to it soon. I'm going to hopefully finish up the rehearsal day tonight (or at least I'm going to add some to it :)) We have a taping about 2 hours away tomorrow and we won't be getting home until midnight, so I know I won't get a chance to do anything again until Thursday. Plus we had some water damage in our new condo yesterday; the pipes for the outside spout for the house leaked and Kris had a ton of books and posters down there. Thankfully, we weren't getting carpet put down there untile next week.

I'm also dragging my feet because I really don't have too many pictures from the wedding itself yet. We're waiting on Randy's shots and several people still are supposed to send us CDs with their shots.

To be honest, I think his mom is just ungrateful. She is really weird about presents.

I love the putt-putt courses by the Dolphin. We have done both of them, but the Fantasia one is my favorite. :thumbsup2

Just a short update...

I called back the lady who had been working with me from guest relations at POR to see what the update was on the bag. She still wasn’t sure at this point, but she had been trying to locate someone in Orlando who had the same favors in stock. Unfortunately, she wasn’t having any luck. She had talked the manager at Ghirardelli into doing a rush order of chocolate favors for us that afternoon. I was pretty impressed by this considering it was already 1 p.m. She told me she was supposed to be hearing back about the bag soon and would call me with an update.

When we left FRESH, Kris took the rental car to drop off his mom and some of the bridal party that didn’t plan to head to the parks. I took off with my parents to head to MGM. We rode the boat over from the hotel, I love that ride it’s so relaxing. It was funny to be walking around with a bride shirt and my bride ears without my groom :bride:

When we arrived there were things set up for ESPN weekend which was wrapping up that day.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/100_0566.jpg

After we got through the gate, I got a call from the person in Guest Relations at POR letting me know that Kris’ missing bag was on its way over. I was so excited; hopefully the favors would be in there. She asked if she had permission to open the bag and I said of course!

When she opened it up, she found the glow necklaces for our dessert party, the University of Michigan pom-poms for our entrance at the reception, some of our gifts for a few family members and guess what NO FAVORS! I couldn’t believe it. With all the rushing leading up to the wedding they must have been moved when we were packing and shipping stuff. They were even checked off our list, so we assumed they were in the missing luggage. We think what happened is that they got moved when we were packing so our dog wouldn’t get into the chocolate.

The person from the hotel said that she still felt bad for all the inconvenience and that she was still willing to help us make sure that we got favors for the next day. If we were going to get them done we needed to meet the manager at Ghirardelli in 30 minutes. I told her that I was at MGM and had no way to get to Downtown Disney in that time frame. She told me not to worry that she would drive over to get me right away and told me to meet her near the buses in the taxi area.

I told my parents what was going on and started heading towards the front of the park. We started talking about it and I really started having doubts about spending the extra money on new favors at this point. My mom and I remembered something that we heard from David Tutera of all people on a wedding show. “If you’re getting a favor just to get a favor, what’s the point?”

While a favor box from Ghirardelli is delicious it wouldn’t have the same significance as the personalized favors that we had ordered. Here are the favors that never made it to Florida… we have passed them out to our guests since we got back. I even mailed them to our out of state guests.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Toledo010.jpg
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Toledo011.jpg
They each had 4 Ghirardelli squares inside. I bought them for 75% off after Valentine’s Day.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/BridalShower-AuntLa378.jpg
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/BridalShower-AuntLa376.jpg

I called Kris and asked what he thought and we came to the decision that with all the other touches for the weddings our guests probably wouldn’t miss the favors. My dad and I walked out to meet the wonderful lady from guest relations to let her know our decision. When I found her in the parking lot, I thanked her for all her help and told her that with everything that had gone in this weekend we weren’t going to worry about the favors and were just going to get them to everyone after the wedding. She agreed and said that she thought we had made a sensible decision. I thanked her profusely for all her help. She had definitely gone above and beyond. Yet another example of the exceptional Disney customer service. She then headed off and my dad and I returned to the park.

A few minutes later she called me back and said that since she wasn’t able to help with the favors she still wanted to do something to make our honeymoon special after we had to deal with the missing luggage. She told me that she would be taking $100 off our room later that week when we returned from the Grand Floridian after our wedding. I was really thankful for all her help. I really wish that I would have taken down her name because she was such a great help tracking down our luggage that weekend. I also couldn’t believe that she was willing to get me favors for the wedding no matter what the time constraints.

Right after that I spotted Kris and his groomsmen Sean heading through the gate, Kris had just exchanged his annual pass voucher at the gate. We had always ran into some relatives at that point, so the three of us headed towards the ESPN stuff and agreed to meet up with everyone for our dinner reservation in a few hours at 50s Primetime :goodvibes

Still more to come that afternoon...

Except for the fact that the training was 4 hours away from me in Chicago!:scared1: Gotta love work!:rotfl: N-e-ways, renting a car would be much more worth it. There is a lot to see and if you take a tour bus you have to stay on their time. It would be much more romantic to take a convertible or even a compact car and get to do what you want when you want without being rushed. Plus, the tour doesn't stop for the Hawaiian people that sell their hand made jewerly and goods on the side of the road on blankets. Defenitely worth the stop. If you are worried about missing some of the tour info. just pick up a Road to Hana tour CD in any gift shop in town. It tells you anything you need to know. I hope your training went well this week, the drive to Chicago is pretty boring that's a big stretch of nothing. My dad does a lot of work for his business in Illinois, so I've driven down from Chicago to Springfield and to Champaign/Urbana.

I shipped my dress ahead of time to Carolyn Allen's and then they delivered it to my room all steamed. I was charged an extra $15 for them to store it, but it was totally worth not having to stress over bringing it on a plane with me. :thumbsup2

We brought a lot of stuff in our extra luggage, but we also shipped like 7 boxes full of stuff down in advance. We shipped some stuff to Disney Floral (our sand ceremony set, knife set) and some things right to our hotel room (things for the Welcome Bags, snowglobes for our centerpieces.)

We took stuff over to Franck's on Friday (before our Monday wedding) and our coordinator made sure that everything made it to our locationo n the wedding day.

Okay, I'm going to see if I can finish up our time at MGM that afternoon. Once Sean, Kris, and I headed towards the ESPN setup by Rock'n Rollercoast the guys decided to ride Rock'n Rollercoaster.
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x62/vcf81/Wedding/Pre-wedding/image057.jpg

This is one of my favorites, but I was still superstuffed from lunch and feeling a little nauseated, maybe it was wedding nerves;) so I opted out. I went and walked around the ESPN stuff a little and sat down to relax for a few minutes. It was the first time I had been alone in 3 days and it felt great!!

There was a pretty short line and the guys were out in about 35 minutes. We then went into the ESPN area and they tried their hand at some of the setups.

We still had some time until our dinner reservation at 50s Primetime Cafe with our family, so we went to check out some more of the ESPN stuff.

Setting up group reservations at restaurants throughout the week was one of the best things that we did. All of our friends bailed on us for this dinner, but we had a ton of family show up :goodvibes

I don't know how many of you have been to this restaurant before, but it is a lot of fun. Our waitress gave us homework assignments dealing with geography and we had to clean our plates :rotfl:

Kris and I ended up just splitting a meal because we weren't super hungry yet. We then slipped out a little early since we had to meet the pastor back at our resort at 8:30 pm.

We made it back to the hotel just in time and headed to the food court to meet our pastor. I know I mentioned it in my PJ, but our minister was from Jacksonville. He was actually our pastor in Michigan for almost 5 years before he moved to Florida. We got in touch with him about coming to Disney for the wedding and he agreed :yay: It was so nice to have someone that we knew and felt comfortable for our big day. We met and talked to his wife for about 30 minutes. We went back over some of the different worksheets we had filled out for our pre-marital counseling and prayed together. It was nice to share that time with them and we both felt a lot more relaxed once we left the meeting.

On our way out of the food court we ran into a bunch of our guests who were snacking. My one aunt wanted to know where the leftover groom's cake was, so I sent them towards my parentsí rooms with forks ;)

Kris and I decided it was definitely time to get a little more practicing in, so we grabbed our CD out of my room and went into the parking lot. We rolled down the windows and played the music. We got some strange looks from people walking from the bus stop, but we didn't care  I wish we would have had someone take our picture.

Gotta run, Kris just got home and I have to show him the wedding pictures. Randy sent our CDs early because I needed some things to print for our at-home reception. They are supposed to be online by Monday. I loved each and every one of them; it was so beautiful on the World Showcase.

Awesome! We actually got into a car accident going there once! I was 7 or so at the time, so we were going to Kid's Night, and it was our first time ever making it to Kid's Night, so we were like "Kid's Night! Kid's Night! Kid's Night! *CRASH* Kid's Night?" There was no damage other than some chipped point, so we did make it!

I totally can understand that. My kids are 9, 6 and 2 right now. We brought the two older one to WDW when they were 5 and almost 2. Very hard with all the meltdowns but all in all we had a lot of fun and my older DS remembers some of the trip:banana:

I have never been there, do you think kids would like it? They will be 10, 8 and 4 when we go next year. Just thinking of ADR's to make when the time comes. Yes I plan way to far in advance but that's what keeps me from going crazy;)

I'm even going to do a PJ if that makes sense this far past the wedding:rolleyes1 I just got a new job and with it a bit more free time, so I have time to devote to a report now. Vanessa is in the process of teaching me how to post my pictures correctly...then I'll get started. I would be very glad if you would join us when I do. Thanks for the interest!
Anna Marie

Absolutely I will join you, keep me posted.

This weekend we discovered that someone we know is tracking us on the Internet. I considered not putting up pictures of our wedding day because I know they are just trying to find out about it (even though they chose not to be a part of it), but I didn't think it would be fair to all of you wonderful women. I will still be finishing my report in this public forum.

I know previous brides TR were such a great help to me, so I hope I can serve as similar inspiration for other brides. I just wanted to make this posting, so that person knows I am aware that they are lurking. No need for replies to this post, it is only directed towards a certain individual. Sorry for the air of paranoia, I know this is kind of off the wall.

I totally can understand that. My kids are 9, 6 and 2 right now. We brought the two older one to WDW when they were 5 and almost 2. Very hard with all the meltdowns but all in all we had a lot of fun and my older DS remembers some of the trip:banana:

My DH watches this show every once in awhile. Do you know if they always tape there or was this a special thing.

I have never been there, do you think kids would like it? They will be 10, 8 and 4 when we go next year. Just thinking of ADR's to make when the time comes. Yes I plan way to far in advance but that's what keeps me from going crazy;)

I think despite the headaches for parents, kids do really enjoy the parks at a younger age. I remember my first trip to Disneyland from when I was 5, Disney World I was only 3 so I don't remember that one, but I still love seeing the pictures.

I think Primetime is great for kids. We've had a few in our groups before and they always seem to have a good time. They will bug kids about their elbows on the table and might do an airplane for them to finish their vegetables, so if they don't mind being called out in a large room then they will have a blast :thumbsup2

Ok, so how is it that you tell us that you got the pics and you even tell us how beautiful they are, but you don't even give us a teaser picture in your signature? Bad, bad girl Vanessa! Ok, I'm done scolding now. I totally agree with you on the group reservations. All of the group events we had planned at our DFTW were so much fun. Our guests still talk about it to this day and we agree it is something we will never forget. I'm waiting patiently for a pic. here;)

This weekend was super crazy since we picked up appliances and moved all of my stuff out of storage (plus I had a slight dilemma-see other post from today). I did start uploading to Photobucket last night though and will be posting more this week. I think Randy will have my pictures up too. I want to be through all of the wedding day by the time we leave for Hawaii :goodvibes
