I will be flying on Delta. Someone suggested that I chew gum. Do I chew it on the way up, in the air, when Im coming down or all three? Which gum would you suggest I chew?

Some people have problems with the change in air pressure when the plane is ascending or descending. So chewing anything will help relieve that pressure.

That's the only time I ever chew gum.

So get the flavor and brand of your choice. Or get some Starburst; they would do the same job.

Take a Xanex and you won't care either way. :thumbsup2

I use Earplanes ear plugs. They work and won't cause cavities :lmao:

a good decongestant before hand is pretty effective.

My Mom suggested to take an Aleve & that should work. Im also suggesting going to bed late and if youre tired you wont care if youre on the plane or not.

I suggest chewing gum for all three. I would chew a sugar free gum if concerned about cavaties. If you have TMJ you may want to go with the ear plugs Native NYer suggested.:)

Who in heaven's name would want to be groggy while traveling????:confused3From a practical point of view, who wants to miss the grand adventure of it all--not to mention safety concerns? I gather you're just flying from NY to Fl? Not from the South Pole to the North Pole? Tough it out.
