I failed a test!! :worried: :furious: (67)This is the first time I fail a test in the school year. The test I failed was the quarter test...now I have a B in the class!!:sad1: :sad2: Now I have to take the final in May!!! Have you ever failed a test? Can you feel my pain?

I actually have never failed anything really. Well, one science test 2 years ago, but I didn't have the notes and didn't study.
Pass mark here is 60, so I've never really failed. I've come close.
Just on tests.

The lowest grade I've gotton on a test I think was a 76.
The only problems I have is in Algebra. If you have a 100 and get a 90 on a test it drops you around 5%.
I have an A- in our class and had to take a test today. I don't think I did very well on it....at all.
I hope i didn't fail.

The only way we have to take finals is if we get detention, miss a certain number of days of school or have below a C I think.

dont worry, youll be able to pull it back up.. im kinda an A student and ive failed some tests before too.. if anything, the fail motivates me to study harder for the next test.. its not the end of the world, and you can still pull that up to an A if you try really hard and do really well on the rest of the test, quizes, projects, hw, etc etc :)

50 is a pass here, so according to my marking scheme you definitley passed!
It's tough to fail when you're not used to it.

I failed a test today too, but I'm used to failing in this class...university psych is NOT for me, and I have accepted that. hehe:thumbsup2

Anyways, hopefully you can pull it back up, just study really hard for the next one.

Thanks!:) If you get a 72 here, you already failed!! My next test is tomorrow. I'm an A student and failing hurts me alot! I want to be a doctor one day (hematologist-oncologist) and I'm really focused in my studies. I'm in 7 grade.

My grades are usually 80%+
In the three main academics 90%+.
Sometimes i may get in the 70's for french or german.
On my last maths test i got 64%. Happy i was not. I'm in 8th grade but we're doing 10th grade work. Now my maths grade are never below 90, i don't mean to sound cocky or anything but i'm really good at maths. On the test before that i had 88% i was willing to let that slide because it was a hard paper. I've asked to re-sit this one i'm that unhappy. Of course the whole class had low marks because our new teacher is astoundingly crap. Even he can't understand himself.

I've failed before, but my school seems to be extraordinarily different from yours.

Our fail mark is anything below a 65 (65 itself is a passing grade). We have to take our final exams in every class unless presented with special exception (ie: I'm taking the AP US History exam, I will be exempt from my US History final). We also have to take midterms. Most teachers give us weekly quizzes to help us. We also generally get comprehensive study guides for each course.

I'm ranked 23rd in a class of 236 (that means I'm the penultimate person in the top 10%) so getting good grades is important to me in a big way. Some of the colleges I want to get into are extremely high level.

So yes, I've failed before. I've gotten B's before. Heck. You know what I got on my geometry midterm last year? a 42. It was actually a 41.6, but it rounds up. I've failed in almost every subject (except french, but I think there's a law of the universe making it impossible for me to fail in that class).

The point is, you've got to Cowboy Up, girl! Pick yourself up off the ground, dust of the dirt and get right back on the horse!

That blows!! I'm so sorry! Are you in AP classes? Failing for me was 76% and lower.

60 is failing here.

But seriously, don't let it get you down. Yes it sucks right now, but don't dwell on it; just study harder next time!

Your lucky you have your exam exemptions - ours are only for second semester seniors who keep a B- (80) or higher average for any class second semester.
We also have the AP exemption, because that'd be pretty stupid to take your teacher's final and the AP exam because they'd basically be the same thing.
A kid I know's school's policy is C or better, and not over 2 absences, you can be exempt from 2 exams 9th grade, 4 10th grade, 6 11th grade and all classes 12th grade. I think that's good motivation to get kids, even freshmen, to come to school and do well. If we had that, I definitely would've come to school more often freshmen year, especially if it meant no Geometry or English finals!

I've failed plenty of times. It's really no big deal...as long as its not continuous. If it is only one test don't worry about it. And who cares about taking the exam? It's just a test. And who knows maybe you'll get smarter from taking it??? Sorry I am just trying to be nice...

I don't think I've actually failed a test. I did get a final grade of failing once in Science. I didn't turn in a few thingss..but now it's back up to a B.
now if I can just pass sewing/cooking class -.-
