Good Tuesday Morning I hope it is a losing one for you. I am up a pound but with the crappy eating I have been doing that is okay.
Don't forget the following from Brenda (dare2dream)
Please report your weight using the number of pounds ie xxx pounds
If you would like to add your change for the week that is OK ie I lost 2 pounds. Remember weights can be reported in 1/10 of pound increments ie xxx.x pounds.
Please report by midnight Tuesday
If you are late report as soon as you remember. I know sometimes RL (real life) is more important.
Please PM or email your weekly report to Brenda (dare2dream) I am not much of a contributor on our weekly thread but I do read every post. I think Tuesdays are great when everyone checks in to report their weekly progress. It helps to keep us all accountable and it's fun to share your success. Last week I noticed several reports from people I never got a PM or email from. I went through the entire thread and checked. 8 people reported their progress here but never reported to me.
Now folks, help out a weight keeper here please!! Please report your weekly weight to Brenda by PM or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. Remember to report by midnight Tuesday and remember to report in pounds ie xxx pounds (not just I lost x pounds). PrettyPlease!!
I have been MIA the last couple of day because of work and ds's school play ending. I have a lot to write down to help me get things off my chest so I will be back later.
Have a magical losing daypixiedust: pixiedust:

Good morning! I'm down 1/2 pound. Still not back to my lowest point this challenge but getting there.
Even though the weight hasn't moved much the inches have. I haven't really measured either before I started or now but when shopping for a dress this weekend (for an upcoming cruise) I had to go down a size! That felt good!:woohoo:

Good Morning, everyone!
Well I have a gain this week. It's only .5 but I'll take it after the week I had. We had to tear apart our bathroom last week because our toliet was leaking and the flange needed replaced. UGH! It was a long week of tearing up, replacing and running from store to store looking for new tille. I am glad I finally have my bathroom back. And then on Saturday we took my dogs to the vets and found out that my one has a large mass in his stomach and he does not have much time left and my other one has a tumor that is starting to cause problems for him again. So needless to say this has been a physical and emotionally exhausting week for me. Hopefully this week will be better!
Good luck to everyone with your WI today!
Have a great day!

Good morning fellow Losers!!!
I am down .6 this week, and happy I saw a loss. I've not been eating as well as I should, but have continued to exercise, and did the 4 mile watp tape 3 times this week. Now if only I could stop the snacking.
Dona- hope the school play ends smoothly. I'm sure you'll get right back on track and lose that pound next week.
I'm going to try and come around here more often. My buddy gretchen/mercobear is on a cruise and in wdw this week, lucky girl. She has been a great support for me, and I'll miss her pms this week.
Hope everyone has a good weighin today, and if you don't lose, or see a gain, don't give up. :cheer2: We can do this, and we are worth it. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Last week I didn't check in due to not getting to my computer till late Wednesday. I had a gain of 1.4 last week and was pretty bummed. I started weighing in at home for this thread in stead of waiting till my WW weigh in on Wednesday. My scale is right on with my weigh in center so I think this will work out much better!
This week I am down 2 pounds! I feel so much better after my gain last week.

Well the dreaded gain has finally occurred. I am up 1 pound this week. But I guess I can't complain too much. My eating was not what it needed to be last week. We had an activity filled week at work and there was popcorn and caramel corn available all week. Then I had lunch provided at work and got a burger and then we had a huge party where I had a couple of drinks. Then Sunday night DH messed up our frozed Lean Cuisine pizza where we couldn't eat it....(he missed pulling the cardboard circle and it was STUCK to the bottom of the pizza)....so we ended up eating pizza rolls. AND I wasn't tracking my eating which all by itself isn't good. Oh well....I'm back on track and I'm confident I'll see that pound gone with hopefully another one or so with it.

Good morning to everyone. I missed last week, but I'm down .6 today. Which over a two week span is frustrating. I'm fitting in to smaller clothes, but the scale just doesn't seem to change, maybe only about 3 lbs for this whole challenge time. ARG!!

Weigh in today. Lots of posts. Gain, maintain, or lose, we are all winners just for being here.
I am down 0.5 pounds this week. No so bad as I really have not been doing the best with food, esp at a brunch on Sunday.
Anyhow, I am happy.

Hey everyone!! Where has everyone gone? We used to have pages and pages of posts where I couldn't keep up with it - and now there may be one or two new posts when I check in. I know I don't post daily....but I try to post 2 or 3 times a week at least. It seems like we have lost a lot of people since the beginning.
On to the Biggest Loser last night. I cannot believe that they did not show us elimination last night. Between Maggie and Brittney I'd really like to see Brittney stay. She is such a competitor and she seems to be struggling so much right now that I don't think it's the time for her to go home. And of all people why did it have to be Mark to come back....he just irritates me to no end. He is so cocky and arrogant. But on the flip side - Man Ali looks awesome!!
Well - here's to a LOSER day :rotfl:

I think one of the funniest moments of the night was when Jackie saw Dan's tatoo and said to the guys "you were going to look after him" and then they showed they all had them too. :lmao:

I have to report a small gain this week. I am up .4 . Truely struggling with things the past few months. But thankfully I am not really gaining (much). Just staying the same. Life is just so stressfull and I am letting things get in the way. Having to work extra shifts, family obligations etc and not making working out and MYSELF priority. I will get back in the swing of things because I refuse to give up.

Best Choices
Softball
Volleyball
Soccer
Dance classes
Water aerobics
Martial arts
Trail running
Swimming
Tai chi
Leisure Activities
Your first priority is to work regular exercise into your week. But also think about using your leisure time to burn off a few extra calories. Here are some extracurricular activities for your personality type:
nature walks
yoga
Obstacles
Different personalities don't just take to different activities; they have to contend with different obstacles too. Here's what you might find in your path, as well as ways to get around it:
Because you may often engage in activities that involve instructors or coaches, you run the risk of being turned off by corrections or criticism aimed at you--or anyone else in your group.
Solution: Remind yourself that the teacher or coach is only trying to help you; if that doesn't work, look for a class or team that focuses more on teamwork or a teacher or coach whose style you prefer.

Hello, everyone! :wave2:
I was gone on vacation to Las Vegas last week, then I've been sick since being back. I know that I have not posted in awhile and I missed TWO weigh ins :scared: I was suprised to come back and find the weekly threads so short! But maybe that means I might actually get to catch up on all the posts...eventually.
I was Really bad while I was gone. I have yet to actually do my morning weigh in. I had intended to weigh in Tuesday morning and PM to Brenda regardless of how bad it was. But life got in the way and I missed the weigh in. I always weigh in the morning and Hate doing it at night. I did a quick check last night and it was :scared1: BAD!! I'm hoping it is not quite that bad in the morning.
Anyway, I'm trying to get my food back on track this week and I will get back to exercise once I'm feeling a bit better. I promise to check in with my weight next Tuesday! And I'm gonna try to give this challenge a good go!
Hope everyone has a GREAT WEEK!!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye, the Weight Keeper speaks
This is it. Ladies, and Cam, we are 2/3 of the way through our challenge. I will work on 2/3 of the way numbers later but for now let's look at week 10.
We started the week with 54 participants. 10 folks have not checked in for three weeks and have been dropped from the challenge. Yes, we lost 10 folks this week. Of course they will be welcomed with open arms if they decide to make a report to me in the future. We have a newbie this week.
:welcome: to Joy Ferry - Joy
We are now at 45 current participants. 14 people did not check in for the week. 7 of them have missed 2 weeks and 7 have missed one week. Joy will report her weight change next week.
30 participants weighed in this week. We had 4 gains for 2.3 pounds, 6 maintains, and 20 losses totaling 36.1 pounds for a weekly cumulative net loss of 33.8 pounds. Our dropped members took 35.8 pounds from our cumulative loss which is now 436.3 pounds.
Another MIA member with a nice loss was once again not named a superstar. I am the weight keeper and I call the shots. A three week loss is treated differently than a 1 week loss just to be fair.
Losers had a 50% chance to be named a superstar this week. Let's see who shined this week.

Congratulations to all our superstars. We are 2/3 there. Congratulations to our faithful that are still hanging in there. We are committed for the long haul.
This is a time to reflect on our own personal progress during the challenge. How are you doing? Are you REALLY committed? Are you working hard EVERY day? If you are then great, you are a superstar. If not, then what's going on? Only you know the answer to that one.
I challenge you to really pump it up this week. Let's all roll into our last 1/3 with a bang. I know we can do it. It is hard work, but we are worth it.

Hi everyone and thanks for all the inspiration. I have decided to not spend so much time on the boards. I need to devote more time to God, my family and working out. I just hired a personal trainer at the YMCA and will be very busy with that and my 2 jobs as well. I don't see where I can fit in spending as much time as I have been spending here and other threads. I hope everyone loses a ton and keep up all the great work.:cheer2: God bless you all.

This week has been hard. I am really stressed with work. Things i thought were going to make my life alot better Money wise moved to May, August and even longer. But other than yesterday i have been doing ok with my eating. Yesterday was really hard for me and what made it harder was i hadnt slept well since Saturday night. My average sleep per night has been 2 hours. Im a 6-8 hour person. I overate last night, had a drink and then fell asleep on the couch at 10:00pm. I just got up at 9:30 so today is looking like a much better day.

Good Bye Cam SOrry to see you go but I know that it is hard, especially with 2 jobs.
Amanda Without sleep your body craves carbs so that is why you over eat. You know you shouldn't but it is very hard not to. Two weeks ago I was averaging about 3-4 hours a night sleep and it can wear you down. I hope things are looking brighter for you.

Tonight my school is doing "Tommy the rock opera" It should be quite a change from Beauty and the Beast.
Tomorrow I am taking some of the crew from ds's school up to a school in north Jersey to show them how their set works. This school bought the set from ds's school and last SUnday dismanteled it and are putting it together this week.
SUnday I have a couple of church things to do and grocery shopping and then I am going to make corned beef and cabbage and Irish Soda Bread. I have not cooked a full SUnday meal in a month and I can't wait.

Not much for us. Today starts spring break so we took all of the kids to see Horton Hears a Who. It was pretty cute. The timing was good to stay and have lunch with DH at work. Now, we're home and I should probably start doing some cleaning up. We have 8 people arriving from OK on Wednesday so I've got to get company-ready. Also, need to figure out if we can farm out an adult or two to my sister's house since we don't really have enough beds for the adults. (The kids get to have a "sleep over" in the living room, that makes "sleeping on the floor" sound more fun, right?!?! ;) )

Hello,
Good posts for today so far. We have a talented group here. BTW I know absolutely nothing about text messaging -- what a cool parent you are. The only text messaging I have been hearing about lately here in Michigan is Detroit's Mayor. What a mess the city is in.
No big plans here, have to work both sat. and sun. part of my rotation that comes about every 5 weeks! I hope to get to the grocery store and yes corned beef and cabbage sounds absolutely wonderful.
Have a good weekend everyone and don't forget to exercise! I may try to watch some :happytv: as I do enjoy March Madness and all that goes with it.

Here is to a good weekend everyone. I plan on getting to the grocery store. I made it to the Walmart Super Center near work - can you believe they are almost $0.50 cheaper on their Smart Ones meals than the one in the town I live in (25 miles away)?? So at least got that done. Need to go to Sams but don't know if I'm going to make it or not. I have a funeral to attend tomorrow morning and then hopefully the rest of the weekend will just be relaxing. DD is going to be so upset when I have to leave in the morning. Stay strong this weekend - weekends are always the worst for me.

happy sunday morning to everyone! how's your weekend going??
with all that is going on for me i have not been journaling. i plan to WI on tuesday so i'm trying to portion control super good, but AF has brought me a craving for chocolate and sweets and i'm fighting off that! urgh! maybe a pan of No Pudge is in order
no plans for an irish meal here....i'm so boring. sounds yummy though...i don't usually cook on Sunday, everyone fends for themselves and i hope they polish off the leftovers from the week
i did manage a 6 mile walk yesterday before the rain came which was so nice to be outside. i have only hit 3 workouts a week for the past two weeks so i'm trying to convince myself to do some pilates later this morning.
and hey! what happened to all our teammies!!
i'm sure you all talked about it, but why nobody voted off on the show this week? did they run out of time? interesting how when they recapped Jillians sassyness (which i loved, i don't care for the way Allison dramatizes) but after commercial they showed more talking, which brings out the heavy editing on the show. why do they recap so much at every commercial! i almost wished they'd go back to one hour shows and cut the recaps and interviews down, they are so repetitive.
whew! guess i needed to vent that :teeth:

Hi everyone,
I"m back from WDW. Unfortunately!:lmao: :rotfl: But probably fortunately for getting on track. I had a rice krispie Mickey every single day and loved every minute of it. YUM!
Anyway, I haven't got on the scale as yet. Will wait for Tuesday. Expecting a gain. Not so much for food down there but for long, long car rides where I'm sure I was overfueling because of straight boredom. Many healthy choices as well as unhealthy but overfed for sitting and sitting and sitting I'm sure. I also didn't get as much water in as at home or as much exercise as normal. But had a fantastic time.
As for the losing weight at WDW because of exercise. I'm pretty active here. And not as there as I sometimes go without park passes and this was one of those trips. I love just to simply hang out and do nothing.
The best thing about this trip was that I was able to get my parents, who were down in Florida for a month, a last minute AKV studio Savannah view room for two nights. Thanks whoever cancelled that. ;) I've never stayed in AKL/AKV. Boy, they were thrilled with that room. My mom, who is a young 71, showed me her animal guide and how she had already crossed out many animals before we arrived. It was too cute. I found my father "yelling" at the giraffes for not visiting him one afternoon. I felt some sadness for the animals. I'm not sure they enjoy such a unnatural habitat. But everyone just laughed at me. But I"m not sure. I hope they are content.
We had two sides of family members there. So enjoyed P and P party with three nephews.
Okay, I could ramble for pages. Good to read and hear about everyone's week.

I agree with the personality type but not the exercise. I only like three of the exercises the others i find boring
Your Personality Type: INSPIRATIONAL
You're the type who catalyzes other people into action. You know how to say all the right things, which is why people gravitate toward you, tell you their problems, and look to you for inspiration. You're creative and are concerned about achieving personal growth.
Your Exercise Rx:
Dual-purpose exercise. To you, working out is engaging only when it's about more than just your body. You are more apt to enjoy it if it's about being part of a community or about exploring your inner self. To enhance your spiritual side, try listening to music to set the mood for a peaceful workout.
Best Choices
Softball (like)
Volleyball
Soccer
Dance classes
Water aerobic
Martial arts
Trail running (like)
Swimming (like)
Tai chi
Leisure Activities
Your first priority is to work regular exercise into your week. But also think about using your leisure time to burn off a few extra calories. Here are some extracurricular activities for your personality type:
nature walks (like)
yoga

Good Monday morning and Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone (even my father celebrates and he is all Italian)
We were away on Sat and yesterday I just puttered around the house after church things. I was Eucharistic Minister at 7:30 mass and then had to go to a nursing home. I am part of a team that goes every 5 weeks on a rotating basis. The nursing home has a priest who is a resident so if he is well we help him serve mass. It is so nice to help out with a service where the people really appreciates it. If people can't get to the mass then we go out to the rooms and give communion. I was very leary of it to begin with but I am starting to like it more and more.
I was knitting most of yesterday. Mostly mindless stuff. A wash cloth and a bib for a collegue who's wife just had a baby. The shower is scheduled for tomorrow morning. My ds's went to the mall to get ds2 a black shirt for one of the groups he plays with so I sent them to the Disney store. Stuffed animals were 2 for $20. They didn't call so they only got 1 Mickey for $15. If they had called I would have told them to get a 2nd because another friend just had a baby girl and I still haven't stopped by to see her. So off to the mall this afternoon to get another one. It will give me a chance to see the new Disney store at our mall.
Well I have papers to grade.
Don't forget weigh in is tomorrow. The challenge ends Wednesday nnight so keep working on those points.
Have a magical losing day. pixiedust: pixiedust:

Please do not be too hard on yourself. Just pick back up and start "anew". One of the strategies mentioned by Bob on Biggest Loser last week was that we should allow ourselves a "cheat" day. Try not to make it no more than 1 day a week. Weekends are certainly different and difficult for all of us. Hang in there. Remember we are on a journey, not a spring, we are trying to make lifestlyle changes.
also a big welcome to Neverenough. You will like it here.

Joanne -
Don't be so hard on yourself. I think we all have those times. I know the past two weeks I have been in a slump - the only thing keeping me going is the knowledge that I'm going to have to weigh in and report back in here. The last BL challenge I bailed and ended up gaining almost 15 pounds. I REFUSE to do that again. I know if I quit coming here (well and weight watchers is definitely keeping me accountable too....but I only have that once a week) I will go downhill and fast. You are still coming in and checking in - that definitely keeps you going. Remember - you can start over right now....just because you had a bad weekend doesn't mean you quit....you just pick right back up and keep going. I also like the philosophy of a "cheat" day. Bob suggests it, Bill Phillips suggests it, and even if it's in the form of 35 "extra" points that's how I use them on weight watchers. My big thing is I usually want to use it on the weekend - but I try really hard not to since weigh in is on Tuesday. You have come this far....you know you can do it. I know you can do it....we all know you can do it.....so as the saying goes "Just Do It"!! Hang in there :)
