Just heard from a Cast Member that Hotel New York will open its own Castle Club called The empire Floor.
Booking will be possible very soon for arrivals in June.

As far as I know they had in the first years a Castle Club in HNY which was also called Castle Club.

We stayed two times in HNY (2006 and 2007) and always in the 7th floor with lake view. And when you step out of the elevator you can still read on the signs "7th floor Castle Club". Although it is not (was not) Castle Club anymore.

Has anyone experience with the former Castle Club in HNY? What where the benefits for staying there? Did they also offer free snacks and drinks?

And I wonder how this will work with the "Empire Floor"? Has anyone else heard about this plan?

I hope this is not only a rip-off. (in other words: I hope this is not only the excuse for DLRP to sell the rooms in the upper floors of the HNY for horrendous prices)

Because this was our room which we had at the former Castle Club (7th floor)

and in the last years you only had to pay the standard price + lake view extra to get this room. But I worry that they will then sale this room as Empire Floor for a horrendous price if this rumour is true.

I've stayed in one of the suites at the hotel before through work. As you look at the hotel to the right there is a rounded area and it was in there. It had a living room with big tv and sofas, a separate bedroom area. It was pretty spacious - more so than the suites in the Newport in the rounded section there. We got fruit basket, chocolates, gift in room and a free minibar in it.

Yes but this is the standard for all suits in the HNY. I think that has nothing to do with the former Castle Club or the future Empire Floor. ;)

If it has a VIP fast pass and a lounge I will definitely consider booking for next September if the price is better than DLH CC and have a longer stay. DBF prefers the HNY:)

And me!! We are staying at HNY for 9 nights in August. Wouldn't mind an upgrade if it is not as expensive as the Castle Club at DL Hotel!

I have taken this picture in June 2007.

This sing must be a left over from the former Castle CLub at the HNY. Which only existed in the first years of the resort.
We had a room at the 7th floor and we only payed the standard price and we had no benefits like VIP FP or anything. ;-)

And I would prefer if they would everything left unchanged at the HNY. ;)

This is what the CM were told today.

There will be 36 rooms and suites on the 6,7 and 8 floor available at the Castle Club.

A separate check in will be open from 6.30 until 22.30 hours. There will also be a lounge for breakfast with Disney figures and non alcoholic drinks for the whole day.
Afternoon snacks will also be served in this lounge.

As for this moment there will be NO vip passes available for the rooms. Only for the suites.

Thanks for the infomation, The lounge sounds good though a bit of a shame about the VIP fastpass though I have been considoring a suite anyway at the HNY. Trying to decide between Park View standard DLH CC room or HNY resort suite.

Thanks for the info - it certainly sounds good. It will be interesting to see what the prices are like but a real shame you are not going to get a VIP fastpass.

For me this does not sound good.
That means that you get the rooms in the 6, 7 and 8th floor from now on for horrendous prices.

Like I already said we got this room in the 7th floor twice for the standard price + lake view extra.

But if this rumour is true than we will have to pay much more money to get the same room. :guilty: :sad2: :sad1:

http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/884/1003199go7.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I can't wait to see the price for this CC rooms and when this will start.
But I think there are more than 36 rooms in the 6, 7 and 8th floor. :confused3
And I also wonder where this lounge will be? :confused3

I never realised the hotel had that many suites.

It will be interesting to see the cost of Castle Club, thanks for the update:goodvibes

Wow so many suites. I thought they would only have a few.

But what I still can not imagine is how they will handle the Castle Club at the HNY.
In the DLH the CC is on a different level with separate elevator so no other quests can get on this level. But if the only transform 36 rooms on these 3 floors how should this work. And were will this lounge be? And until now they don’t have separate elevators at the HNY. :confused3

And I also think that it is better to have a lounge with free drinks at the DLH because there you only need 1 minute to get to the lounge from the parks. But I am not sure how often I would go from the parks to the HNY just for a free drink.

The official name will be: Empire State Club. The lounge is on the sixth floor and will have 45 chairs ore seats.

As all the rooms and suites are full there will be approximately 130 people using the lounge so in my humble opinion there will be some problems.

If there are no separate elevators how will they ever be able to control the users of the lounge?

A combined use with the Disney Hotel lounge is neither an option. The lounge is far to small for there own guests.

Furthermore, they would have to give everyone a lift key for the DLH and I don’t see this happen. The exclusivity of the CC would totally be gone.

I am also wondering how they will control the lounge if they don't have separate elevators like in the DLH.

But you must have understood me wrong. I was not suggesting that guests of the Empire State Club should be allowed to use the CC at the DLH. I wanted to express that I would wish they would leave everything as it is. DLH with CC (only for CC quests) and HNY with no CC.

And as the suites of the HNY are distributed all over the HNY it is not as easy to get to the lounge for all quests as at the DLH - were almost all suites and CC rooms are on the same level.

By the way: Where did you get all this information from. How reliable is this information?
We want to book a stay for June soon. Does the CM's on the phone know about this change already? :confused3

This information is from a CM who works on reservations.
I think its pretty reliable, she never lied to us before.
Of course I can't give you a guarantee just hoping we all could benefit from this information but please don't shoot the messenger. :rotfl2:

I don't know if you must phone the CC number. Sorry.

As far as i can see there is no information at all about Empire State Club at the Disneyland Paris homepage.

When you go the online booking page, and select Hotel New York you see the room types as listed below:

NEW YORK / EMPIRE / MX2
NEW YORK / EMPIRE / MX4
NEW YORK / EMPIRE / LAKE V/MX4
NEW YORK / EMPIRE / MX2 (HCAP)

MX2 must be a maximum of 2 people, MX4 a maximum of 4 people, LAKE V/MX4 a maximum of 4 people with lakeview and finaly MX2 (HCAP) a maximum of 2 people with handicaped facilities.

To me its like they want to keep it a secret to the general public, so that only real VIP people books the rooms.

They should atleast tell people what to expect when booking a Empire room.

I have stayed at Hotel New York before and would like to try it out again but if the only perk i get is a few snacks and upgraded service then i would rather use my money elsewhere.

(I want a VIP Fastpass, NOW!!! ;) )

How about you?
