I know this year new Wamsutta bedding was going in at all the deluxe and DVC resorts....has anyone seen the new in bedding in DVC yet??

I know you can order the Disney deluxe bedding online now.

but I am wondering if DVC actually got left out of the upgrade because I haven't read anyone talking about it.

I had read about it last year and there were actual dates of when each resort would get their redo...and DVC was on the list.

so...just checking in...:goodvibes

You mean I can leave my fitted sheets at home now? Hooray!

That's great since I will need the room in my suitcase for my mugs & glassess! -- Suzanne

Are the new bottom sheets actually fitted? (I finally just bought myself a fitted bottom king sheet to take on DVC trips. Used it for the first time in January.)

NO! Do not leave your fitted sheet at home if you normally carry it with you. Fitted sheets are not part of the deal. The quality of the sheets are much improved but they are still using a too small flat sheet for a bottom sheet. Our last stay in early Feb at BWV we were "short-sheeted". I pulled the bed apart the first morning and managed to at least cover the mattress. Now, this was a queen in a studio. I can't speak for the kings. Maybe people are having better luck there.

Huge improvement in the towels, though!

We did not have fitted sheets at AKV last week. They were still using the too small flats on the bottom.. New blankets, pillows and towels.
Paper cups and plates

Maybe the Kings in the one and 2 bedrooms will get the fitted sheets to go with thier mugs and glasses

Do the studios get the new linens - or since there's no washer and dryer in the studios do they just cover the beds with paper towels?:rotfl:

When they get lazy with the bottom sheet and you get "short-sheeted", that's exacly what the mattress cover feels like on your feet. Paper towels. Hey, maybe they're preparing us for the changeover....

You have to laugh about this. It's getting ridiculous. :)

No, the studios got those newfangled disposible aerobeds to go with the disposable sheets and the cast off pillows and blankets that the airlines no longer supply you with!

Well, the bottom sheet was bigger than the old ones, but it still comes undone. That's mostly because of the way they make the beds though. I usually pull it apart and miter the bottom sheet and tuck it in seperately. Then I remake the rest of the bedding, and everything stays tucked better. The towels were a big improvement. No more "Motel 6" type towels.

Did you think the quality of the sheets was any better???

we decided after last years trip to pack our own sheets because they were so scratchy and poor quality....I know we are spoiled....but hey...

you NEED a good nights sleep at WDW. we have already packed our own pillow cases for years.....so just deciding if sheets are next. :goodvibes

New sheets are on the way. They're a 1200 thread styrofoam prototype and completely disposable.

However, being the eco-friendly organization Disney is, they would prefer if you tried to wash them once in the bathroom sink with shampoo! If you try real hard, you should be able to stuff them in the microwave to dry! See, I knew there was a reason to keep the microwaves in the studios!

Ok, here is how to get the mugs back in the studios. If everyone writes and states they would like to buy a studio mug, just like the one they have used and loved in the DVC studios ever since DVC opened in the early 90s. That being able to purchase a part of their DVC memories would mean so much to them.

What???, they don't offer them,

Why???, no mugs in studios anymore.:confused3

Horrors!!!! :scared1:
