What are some ways that you express your creativity?

Some people draw, write, etc. What do you do that shows your imagination and creativity?

I for one do many different things.

When I'm listening to songs I think of how they could fit into a movie.

Or when something happens in my life I think:
"If my life was a movie what song would be playing in the background at this moment?"

Also, I'm very into organization and home renovation shows. (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition--- I know it's more a show about the people but still.) So about a year ago, I started buying different home magazines when I would go to Home Depot or Lowes with my parents and I would look at the different types of rooms. Interior Design was something that I thought about for a litter bit, but I have a certain style so I don't think I could come up with different ideas for each customer.

There are so many other things I do but here are a few to get things started. :goodvibes

I love to draw, Photoshop, and take pictures.
I recently learned to make short cartoons. They suck but that's ok. xD

I write songs constantly, and sing.
It's my way of letting out every emotion.

I also write, mainly in myjournal, but sometimes short stories.

And I love photography.
I just need to save up for a nice camera.

Poetry.

I'm a big poem head

Ex of my work:

Middle School

Wake up at 6 o clock
Get dressed, tired as a rock
Eat breakfast, get outside
Wait for the school bus to give you a ride

Try to get the back seat
Older kids got it – minor defeat
Sit up front, looking dorky
Given names like “Einstein” and “Porky”

Get to school, budge through the mess
Get cheese puff crumbs on your new dress
Get to your locker, get through the day
Pray that you’ll make it OK.

Lunch time and there’s scattered teens
Trying to decide between
The prep table and the jocks – neither will do
So off to the table with a kid named Drew

Well the last period comes, and you’ve barely made it
Middle school – man, you already hate it
Bite your #2 pencil as the clock ticks so slow
Why won’t the time pass? Why won’t it go?

The bell rings – thank god! You thought you’d die
When people say “it’s the best years” boy, what a nice lie
You’ll smile and say “Yes it is!” but alas you have hid
The pain and the horror behind the first day as a 6th grade kid.

I write a bunch. Poems when I have the muse to do them and short stories the rest of the time. :goodvibes

When I feel the need, I'll write a poem or two. I listen to music, and I take pictures. The photography is starting to get a little better.

Mm yes.
Sometimes I do take pictures.
But I don't claim that I'm good at it, I just kinda get bored. I'm in no way a photographer xP

Other things I do:

I to take pictures.

I also recently discovered that I had Windows Movie maker and I made 3 short movies.

2 made of various clips from the ABC Family show Wildfire.
1 made of various clips from the show The OC.

The Wildfire ones came out really well, if I do say so myself. I was so happy when I watched them because it was my frist time using the program.

I'm also starting to write like a short script. When I lie in bed at night (when my mind doesn't wonder off) I try to expand on shows that I watch. I loosley base the story off of the characters in the show, but then it expands to the point where its completly different from what I was watching. So I figured why not write the story down for once?

To show my creativity, I show it through the way I dress, the way I do my make-up, the way I wear my hair. Umm, by writing stories and by taking pictures. :)

Photography.

When I get bored, i'll go on Paint and draw crossing lines, then fill the gaps in making a pattern of some sort. Sometimes i'll put loads of dots onto a page and then connect them to see what I can make.

I draw a lot.

I also write a lot. But really what I like doing is making up characters... it's great fun. My friend and I have been writing a story for the past couple years.

I'm not really that into POETRY, though...
I think being a creative writing major would be great fun, if all I had to do was write short stories.

You have just made me realise i have no creative outlet for my emotions.
I'm told i can write, personally i don't think i'm anything but average, but it takes me hours just to get a start somewhere near decent so it leads to frustration.

lol i usually draw, edit a video, or photoshop something as an outlet.. i used to write songs.. but then i re-read some of them and realized that i probably shouldve shot myself for thinking up of some of the dumbest lyrics ever lol

I like to take pictures if I'm feeling inspired&creative.

MY imagination & creativity really comes out when I get into a scene/play i really love.
I really let loose when I'm acting & performing.
Somehow I come up with these insane concepts and I get really wrapped up in the play & the character.

That is when I feel the most creative.

I also like editing & making videos.

ANd I think I am creative with my choice of clothing as well.
I'm not afraid to wear something different....i'm proud to say that I was the first girl to wear a sundress to school last spring. (which caught on rather quickly lol)

I write stories and create soundtracks for those stories, a LOT.

I love photography. I have a 40 year old single-lens reflex (SLR) camera which I love with all my heart. My Papa bought it in Japan and the strap is from Hong Kong. Out of every camera I've ever used, I could never capture emotion like I can with my SLR. It's probably my most prized possession.

I scrapbook as well.

Clothing is another way I express myself. Vintage and thrift shops are thy friend.
