So my Dfi and I decided that we needed to make another quick trip before our honeymoon in a year or so to Disneyland/Hawaii. We can never get enough of Disney World! :goodvibes
So we drove from NC on March 6th at 4am (:sad2:) and my Dfi was still getting over strep throat:sick: - so that was kinda hard.
We arrived at Pop Century at 2pm and our room was ready.

So we checked in and then headed over to the Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom wasn't TOO crowded, it was a Thursday afternoon. Here are some pictures:

Anyway, I cannot remember what order we did everything - so this is a pretty random trip report.
While at Magic Kingdom, we managed to get stuck on POTC and Thunder Mountain at night. When we did the Monster Inc. Laugh Floor, my Dfi was choosen to be the one who had the "urge to dance"... it was pretty funny.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/ncvtec1313/Monstersinc.jpg
Since this was a mini-trip, we took full advantage of the fast pass system. I rode RnRc at DHS, 3 times in a row because the crowds were not so bad, and my Dfi didn't want to get flipped around again.....
Here is a picture of me in the front car, in the pink shirt, yes with the ray ban- tom cruise sunglasses.

I've come to the obvious conclusion, that Tower of Terror is the scariest ride in the park. Not because of the drop, but because of the psychological brain-washing in the pre-show and the parts before the drop. If that wasn't there it wouldn't be nearly as scary. I mean duh- but I just felt like stating the obvious.

On another day, my Dfi and I decided to get to Animal Kingdom early and just take a slow day. It was SO NICE. The weather was perfect (a little chilly) but it was so relaxing.

Finding Nemo Musical, very entertaining... the colors were beautiful and the performers were excellent.

I love the candy store on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. It brings back so many memories as a child and so I thought I'd take some photographs of the place.

Okay so I JUST HAVE TO SAY- that the veggie lasana was disgusting at Pop Century. We were hungry for a fourth meal one night ..... :stir: I mean we seriously thought we'd get sick if we ate all of it....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/ncvtec1313/grossveggielasana.jpg
So we made up for the bad food with some drinks and playing arcade games like little kids :) :drinking:

On Saturday night, our hometown basketball team, Duke played UNC (you know, where ever you live- that we are the biggest rivalry in the nation) We went to the ESPN club (which we thought was great, good drinks, decent sports bar food). We were sad :sad2: that Duke lost, but we had a lot of fun meeting people from NC and there was a great mix of Duke and UNC fans.

Feeding the duckies some of my Dfi's pretzel, but NOT MY CHURO! lol. We saw some people at Flame Tree Barbeque feeding the ducks a TON of fries. Maybe I am wrong- but can't that kill them?

Outside of Honey I Shrunk the Audience (which was open and I haven't seen it in forever)!!! :3dglasses :3dglasses :3dglasses

We brought our dog Mickey his own easter Mickey to tear up- haha. An expensive little stuff animal, but he loves it.

It was a LONG drive back to NC, because of bike week in Daytona, FL. There were so many accidents and people pulled over....ahhhh it took forever to get home. But we had a great little trip, and it was worth the drive, as it always is.
I hope you all enjoyed the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Just some tips, or reminders.
*Always have a poncho with you, maybe even extra socks.... we got SOAKED walking around Epcot at night when it poured this past weekend. We had ponchos on- but somehow were STILL soaked. Even if the forecast says sunny all day- BRING A PONCHO.
*Make sure you know how to walk or know how to say "excuse me" when you almost knock someone over. I am good at swerving around people and being polite but my poor light-headed Dfi was getting knocked left and right by careless people.
*If you didn't make reservations for dinner- eat around 3:30-4! We were able to get into places at those times.
*If it's going to rain- don't wear rainbow sandals. They get heavy and then create blisters.
Hope this helps. :) I can't wait to go back already! :wizard:

by the way- it was all star nationals cheerleading competition weekend... and I didn't have a problem with any crazy loud girls.... in March of 2006 it was pretty crazy.....
Anyone have a child that performed in the competition? If so- did they perform at Animal Kingdom or All-Star resort???

It's a Canon powershot SD750, 7.1 mega pixels
I love it :lovestruc , but I want a Nikon SOOO BAD! The firework shots ARE SO HARD to get!! My camera takes REALLY good macro shots, or day lighting shots, but at night I have to change the settings around and it's ok. We bought the camera before our last trip in September. The screen on the back is huge which makes it easier to go through and delete bad photos immediately instead of having a TON of bad photos to download at home.

I also have the Canon Powershot SD???? 10 Megapixels. I love it, but night shots hard and the pictures sometimes come out awful. Any tips on night time shots?

hmmm thats weird... are you using the flash???? If so, turn it off. You must have an extremmeeeeely steady hand. When you click to take the photo- continue to hold the camera steady for 2 seconds. I am not sure what else to tell you- I just realized a ton more features it had that I haven't really used. IF you have your manual I would look up night-time photos. They have a fireworks option on the canon powershot, but it didnt help AT ALL. goodluck :)
