Also in without a wait, I'm guessing the prize will be a cannon wall and maybe some credits?

The lines were so short all day yesterday. After Noon time, there were barely any lines or waiting at all. I guess most of the players are feeling the same way. I wonder if today will be the same

At 10 PM EST there weren't any lines at all.

Aaah...another relaxing day of not having to wait in lines for prizes to add to my garages! Woot! I, for one, am glad for the break.

I went through once and added to the many cannon walls I already have. This is a good opportunity for those that did not play pirates well enough to get keys that gave them the cannon wall, a chance to get some and earn credits as well! It's a FREE wall and 10 credits. At a minimum, my walls cost me at least 63 credits. (3 21 credit games to get a key)
If you do not like the prize, then as always, don't get on. There are many other choices and fun things to do in vmk.
VMK Staff work so hard to make this fun for us.

How much do the walls sell for? I may ride just to get the credits from selling the walls if it's worth it.

Thanks VMK. As a player that struggles in the POTC game, I very much appreciate the prizes this weekend. :thumbsup2 Those extra 10 credits do add up too! Thanks again.
I'm hoping to find some time to ride today.

Well to me the ride a thons in the past have signified a true event, opportunity for a new item maybe, sorry but the pirate walls been at pirates for how long now, they just moved them out of pirates and then put in the ride a thon? I have had people say, I am poor, give free, I use to give the pirate walls, some, not all wouldnt even take them LOL. I have put them in quests as a third prize.Sure there a building item, but after seeing all the host rooms, with new walls and floors, and that they have made these items, and can make cool items like that, then why are we givin pirate walls. Our choice to ride or not, but I can tell by the numbers at the event all weekend, that it was not successful, in terms of, it was a pleasing prize for everyone.
Also I believe they have selective listening, sorry, but the start of the ride is just as messed up as before, to have to click 20-30 times to get on the ride start, doesnt work well. I chose not to ride, my choice.

I am sure there are a lot of vmkers that would like this prize if they do not play pirates. The only way you can get this stuff is getting a key in the pirates game to open the treasure chest. I have many of these walls so it is good as I can concentrate on credits. And those that are not good at pirates gets some nice building tools. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'll say exactly what I said yesterday again. How many of you would be having a SERIOUS hissy fit right now if it were pirate q? Thanks VMK for the walls to build with and the easy credits. Some people are just so ungrateful. Don't like it? Don't ride. Simple as that. :thumbsup2
And NO this is not to those of you who aren't whining...lol

I will ride, because there is no wait and I can always use more walls to build with. A free gift is a free gift, and if I didn't want it I wouldn't ride...
Honestly though - riding through and seeing things I would have loved to have in bulk - (the brick walls, brown rugs, tan walls, the brown dock/floor stuff- etc) makes me a little disapointed.
I won't complain to much though... like I said - free is free... If you would prefer to earn credits today - I believe the mini games are still open... :rotfl:
Have fun today peeps!

Well said! I really can't believe how upset everybody is getting over a CARTOON GAME! :sad2: I am one of those people who had absolutely none of those walls and was very happy to finally be able to get some. And I never turn my nose up at free credits! Also, those rooms were amazing--I loved the detail! I can't imagine the hours of work that must have been involved!

I'm not sure if I really need/want all these pirate building pieces...but it would take me a lifetime to earn this stuff from playing POTC. And I know I am not the only one with this sentiment.
Also, I would hope everyone can appreciate the beautiful rooms that Host Bella built and the new pirate accessories that are being offered. As I've said before, I am not a Pirate fan at all, but I still some great uses for the stool poles, the mini islands, the big islands, etc.

Such fighting over a silly ride-a-thon prize.
Either you ride because you need the walls, or you don't.
Simple as that.
Go play some pirates if you're unhappy with the prize. ^_^

I'm pretty sure the walls were removed as a price from POTC now as well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. So stock up.

:thumbsup2 I got 40 walls yesterday and earned some credits, I am not complaining. I don"t need as many cannon walls, but somtimes it helps to have extra and the credits don't hurt either! Thanks vmk!

I like the prizes too, I just wish I could ride :sad1: I've been having terrible lag problems the past 2 weeks and can't even get into the ride rooms - they won't load. I've tried everything I can think of to fix it, but it won't work. I'm about ready to give up.
I've never been any good at pirates and love having these walls to build with..but anytime I need them, I have to trade for them. So, I am happy with the prize! (If I could just get it...lol)

To all who are complaining about already having hundreds of these pirate wall pieces, please, feel free to share some of those with me. I used to do very well with pirates in its original format, but once it switched over to the new version I was terrible. Add to that the fact that for the past year I've rarely been able to play and I've won maybe a total of two pieces. The only reason I have ANY more than that was because Peacefully was kind enough to give me some of her extras.
Unfortunately I was too busy to do the ride-a-thon yesterday, but I am actually disappointed that I missed it, since I don't have hundreds of those pieces already.

I totally agree. I stunk at Pirates when these items came out and I still do. The prize may not be amazing but since I couldn't get them before I welcome the chance to get them now and credits.
The rooms are absolutly beautiful!! There was by no means any laziness involved here. I love looking at the rooms because I could never be that creative.
I give a huge thumbs up to Bella :thumbsup2
and say Thank You to staff :) Great job VMK

This is exactly me too, except for the fact that I've NEVER won any, and have only gathered a few from people's quests. As such, I'm glad that not everyone needs them and that I can get through the rooms in a timely manner. I can't spend all day on, but I can still get a good amount of the prize and some credits too. I'm happy!:thumbsup2

Not the best prize, but that's OK! Those that need it can ride the rides, those that don't can play mini-games to boost up their credits. I actually like it because I have a lot of work to do today.

Woohoo! Free stuff with very little wait! :woohoo: I'm loving this ride-a-thon! Thank you VMK :thumbsup2
I'm another person who's not been able to get many walls in the past. I don't like to play pirates much, because I get sick of the bad attitudes some of the other players have, and can't usually get enough people together for a friendly game (I'm in the UK, so time differences make things a lot more challenging!).
The rooms in this ride-a-thon are absolutely brilliant! As an addict of the real ride, I have been sitting here playing spot the scene! I love the way Bella has used existing items in such inventive ways to make the rooms match the ride so well!
To all those who don't like the prizes, thank you! I'm getting through so much more quickly because you're not riding :rotfl: (that was a joke, please don't hurt me! :duck:)

I've played over 2000 games of pirates and I've never won a cannon wall either. I'm thrilled with today's prize and I found this week's ride-a-thon much more relaxing than the last one. I'd enjoy any event that allows me to catch up on my weekend naptime. :thumbsup2
With the wonderfully short wait times, I've figured out how to battle the lag monster:
1) Change your browser. I switched from Firefox to Opera and now I can shuffle across the room in less than 1 - 3 clicks! (vs. the click-a-thon last weekend)
2) Wait until everyone stops swirling to click a ride piece.
3) Click the start piece when there's only 0 - 2 people walking past the velvet rope divider. You're less likely to screech to a halt and block the path for everyone else. If there's a traffic jam, leap to another room or grab a book.
The staff deserves kudos for making the ride rocket faster: Swooping up gifts dropped by track jumpers, standing at the lobby entrance to boot players who block the path for more than five seconds (including me, lol).
Now if only they'd hit the mute button to cut down on the chat bubble lag . . .

The thing I am most bummed about is that the lines are so short that you can't tag team waiting for the POTC rooms with riding for SITS pins.
With the queues for POTC at only 5-20, it does not give you enough time.

Thanks VMK! I enjoyed the ride a thon and found the prizes most useful. Bella the rooms were lovely. Hosts and Staff thanks for your efforts to keep the rooms free of the red gift boxes and the "intentional jumpers". Design team, I enjoyed seeing your many creations in the rooms. Now I must find some time to earn credits, just in case some of those sweet items get released.
Again, thanks for a smooth ride event. :thumbsup2
 Hugs!
