OT-Need Your Help Renting Cottage[s] in Southern Ontario for Thanksgiving or Before

Hello All ~ My family [10 adults, 2 kids, one infant] rent cottage[s] to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving. Last year, we rented the week before Thanksgiving.

We have rented 6-bedroom executive cottage and 4-small cottages that were in a little cottage resort.

We are currently looking for something new.

Can you recommend an executive cottage or group of small cottages that we can rent? Thanks, Sandra

have you ever looked at www.endlessvacation.com? Fromthe main page you click through to the rentals for non-RCI members on the bottom right hand side of the page.

This web site offers RCI timeshare units to people who are not RCI members. You could perhaps get two two bedroom units at a nice timeshare property. Carriage Hills/Carriage Ridge is quite nice and not too long a drive from the GTA. Haliburton Heights is also nice.

We have stayed here 4 times and really like it. They offer very good rates on their mobile home rentals that late in the season. If you call them to check on pricing, ask them what specials they have available for that week.

If interested, I would not reccommend the economy or standard mobile homes, they are older and not near as nice as the deluxe mobile homes. New this year they are also offering something called prestige homes for rent. We are booked in a deluxe for a week in the spring but will check this new home type out while we are there. From what I have seen on the web site, this new home type looks really nice and sleeps up to 8 I think.
