question about free trials

I am wondering if anyone has trouble cancelling some of the free trials I see on the rewards programs. The only ones I am worried about are the ones that require your credit card number. I could use the extra points, but not if it's going to be a hassle. Thanks.

I signed up once for one of those "free trial period" offers and have never done it again. Even after cancelling within the trial period , I was still charged the membership fee for several months afterwards. Every time I called customer service I was assured that my membership had been cancelled, but the following month my credit card would come in with another charge for the membership. It took several phone calls over a period of months to get the matter cleared up. It was definitely more trouble than it was worth. I think several others have had similar experiences.
