Westin Maui II exchange availability

I always see members ask about II exchanges and what are my chances for an exchange.

There was a bulk deposit for Westin Maui into II this morning. There are alot of weeks available for this fall. The first number is number of bedrooms, second number is private sleeping capacity, and the last number is total sleeping capacity.

This is great information! Thanks for posting. Seems like the openings happen about 6 mos. out. It does put a little pressure on for the airfare. But this is good to know for the future.

Those who want to take advantage of these dates should reserve now. These won't last for long. There are many II members and Westin Maui is the top TS in Maui.

This is the second big deposit for Westin, for this time of year. The first was around the one year mark, thts when owners get first chance to lock-in thier week. the second is now, when the 8 month window opens to non-resort Westin owners.

Also, these weeks are only seen by Westin owners for the next 72 hours. Once that "exclusive" Westin window closes, those weeks will be available to the general timeshare world. Most of these weeks will be gone at the end of the 72 hour period. I will update this post so DVC members can see how thw availability changes each day.

So, if I call tomorrow, does anyone think there is still a chance I may get one of these after the 20th of Nov. My son turns 5 then and he will be able to go to the kids club. I have never used II but would love to.

You can certainly try, dedends when the 72 hour "priority" hold ends.

Place your ongoing request now. All Pending Requests will be satisified first once the 72 hour Starwood "priority" hold ends.
Depending on who is already waiting and DVC's trading power you might get lucky.

I didn't realize that MS was open on Sun. I called, but there was nothing left. I put in a request for about any week during the end of Nov. though Dec. Hopefully we get something. I also put a request in for the Marriott. I would be so happy if we were able to grab something. I'll let everyone know if we have any luck. Thanks for the heads up.

For example, if the units first became available in Interval International on Saturday then it should be available on Tuesday.

I have several other timeshares, all Westin properties. I have weeks deposited in II that allow me to search the inventory.

Thanks for the info. there is a woman on ebay that is willing to sell me a 1-bedroom at the north property during Thanksgiving for 1800.00 Does that soun right? I figure if I don't hear anything this week through MS then I'll go this route.

$1800 is a fair price. There were no Thanksgiving weeks deposited, so if that is the week you want, go for it.

How do you know what II has available. Since DVC does the search and I can't access how do you find out what is out there?

I own Westin timeshares. When Westin (Starwood) deposits weeks into II, there is a 72 hours "preference" period where only Starwood owners can see them. Marriott has a similar "preference" period, but they have 21 days.

Once those preference periods are up, the weeks become available to anyone else, including DVC members.

I was only able to pull up one 2br unit this morning with my Lakeside unit(so either my ski week I plugged in is lame, or the Starwood gang already booked them all).
