Question about Booking Non DVC Disney Hotels?

Hi Everyone. I was hoping to stay one night at the GF on my DVC points in December 2008. I know that in order to book at non home resort DVC resorts you have to wait for the 7 month window. Does this also apply to non dvc resorts like the GF?

No - you can reserve any of the non-DVC options 11 months ahead and the Disney cruise may be reserved up to 2 years in advance.

The only 7 month restriction is for non-home DVC resorts.

For non-DVC WDW resorts, there is a $95 transaction fee in addition to the points. For 1 night, I don't know that it's really worth using the high number of points plus $95.

Ya I'm kind of mad that they changed the policy on that. I booked it no knowing the new policy and then they called me back 10 minutes later and told me about the policy. Next time I will just pay out of pocket! But it's the grand floridian at XMAS so it will def be worth it!

And remember any Developer/Incentive points can only be booked 7 mths out.
Learned the hard way.
