In order to treat this condition you must visit this website two or more times a day when you feel the Disney urge. ;)

Planning is half the fun afterall :goodvibes

:lmao:

People around me just don't get it. They all say "you've already been, why go again" can you believe that!!!

My DH understood why I was sooo excited about Disney, he got the magic :wizard: , He say it is the happiest place on earth. It just puts a smile on your face and people are just friendly and smiley :)

ahhhh, I'm glad I found other people as nuts as me

Sure we will help you! Just think about vacation to WDW every waking moment. And if that isn't enough, start to dream at night also! Put all the Disney websites at the top of your favorite list. Find hidden mickeys every where you go! Start talking to random people on the street about how much you love ______ (insert your favorite ride here). What were we trying to help you with?:goodvibes

When other people say they don't understand why we keep going back year after year and that there is nothinig special about Disney and tell us we are nuts, we just look at them with these really GOOFY faces and say, "We're nuts? You gotta be joking if you don't think there is anything special about Disney." I still remember the look on the girlfriend of our son when we took them for his high school graduation trip. She had tears in her eyes when she saw the castle for the very first time and she cried when we left. They've since broken up (and yes, I miss her) and she called me the other day (we were crying together over the fact that Brett Favre retired--even though we are Bears fans, we love Brett), I told her we were going again in September and she wanted to know if she could go with us. :rotfl:

Same thing happened to me! I was miserable the first month I was back until I found this site and started planning our next trip (OVER a year away when I first started planning)! And I get the same comments from friends and husband who just don't understand how much I love Disney World. Have fun planning! And welcome to this site... it will definitely help fill the void until your next trip!

I also suggest listening to live365.com as much as possible. Do a search for Disney and you can listen to tunes from inside the parks and resorts- even the monorail track!

Well, considering it's the first week of the third month of this year and I've already been twice..... I'm not much help at talking you OUT of Disney!;) I can do a great job of talking you INTO it though!!!

Oh I certainly sympathize!

We went in Nov. 06. It pained me not to go this past Nov. - but our money is going to our adoption right now. So I come on the DIS for therapy. Living vicariously through others. :earsgirl:

I absolutely LOVE going to Disney and all that it involves--searching these and other boards, planning the itrip, ADR's, flights, hotels, etc. We are going in May and I'm already doing pre-lim work for our November 2009 trip.

But in all seriousness, sometimes I really do worry if I am too much of a Disney fan. I've never been teased about it by my friends, in fact they come to me with questions about Disney. In the morning, the first web site I go to is Disney related and I keep looking at boards throughout the day when I have a free moment.

A friend, also a big Disney fan, and I have had several discussions about how important Disney has become to us, and we have voiced concerns about just how much we eat, sleep, and talk Disney. Do any of the rest of you really worry about this at times?

I am not much help either! I went 5 times last year. This year we leave in 22 sleeps for the first trip, we have another planned in June. If I wasn't worried about the size of my siggy, there would be a 3rd ticker in there for a possible September trip and a 4th for the trip I booked last night for New Years. I am zero help.

This is ME!!!!!!!!!! Except my list includes
- I wear an EEYORE denim jacket.
- I notice all cars with Mickey antenna toppers & try to see who is in the car.
- I have Mickey Mouse sheets.

Anyway OP ... there is NO CURE. Though I have to admit I haven't looked for one. DH got that silly grin on his face as this morning I said (for an unbooked trip yet!) ... "I think we will go to the Plaza Restaurant vs LTT since we will be having turkey at Thanksgiving ...." -- at least he didn't shake his head or roll his eyes!

I keep worrying the City will REMOVE the hidden Mickey in the sidewalk near our house when they upgrade! :scared1:

Again ... welcome to the club!

You've come to the right place. We're all addicts here! I even decided to become a runner to get another trip in! DH and I are registered for the Disney Half Marathon next January! The lengths I will go to for another trip!

My name is Blair...and I'm addicted to Disney!!! I talk all the time about my upcoming trip and all the places I'll see and things I'll do. It's gotten to the point where just about anyone wants to go to Disney after I talk about my happy place. :rotfl2:

Hi! My name is Tracy, and I am an addict. :cool1:

I rotate between my Tink sweatshirt and my Grumpy sweatshirt when I get chilly around the house. The trip is 5 months away and I have everything planned. I love this site, and visit it at least 2 times a day. I ordered the Disney Vacation Planning DVD just to tide me over, and get super giddy every time the Travel Channel plays one of their MANY WDW shows. I have recently began dreaming about WDW, specifically solo trips where I stay deluxe and eat on the DxDP.

I am so happy that it is not just me. My father asks a lot why we keep going to the same place, and I just stopped answering. He will never feel the Disney magic like I do.

Hey, I am an addict and Disney is my drug and I looove it!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Ha ha ha, asking for help here is like going to your local pub and telling them you think you have a drinking problem. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you truly want to cure your addiction, place this website's URL into your computers "banned" list......don't open any magazines as most have ads for Disney trips or products.....keep your television turned OFF during any commercials as half of them seem to be Disney related.....and stay out of the stores because those darn princesses (and probably other characters) are EVERYWHERE.

As you can see it will requite a total change of lifestyle to avoid all things Disney.....you will be required to stay in your home (once it has been decontaminated of course) and not have any outside communication. Have the delivery guy leave your groceries on the front porch until a trusted Disney hating friend can examine them (as many foods now advertise Disney as well). No computers, radio, television or other devices that have contact with the outside world allowed.

For me...it'd be a good thing that I couldn't see or be seen by the outside world....as I'd be dern near naked once all the clothes with Disney on them are removed. THankfully I could wear underwear as Disney doesn't (yet) make them in my size....but no pants or shirts. Wonder if I'd have to give up my crocs or just the Disney Jibbitz? I fear the bare crocs would be too strong a reminder.

Ok, I give up....I'd rather be addicted!

ETA: Just had a grand idea.....we could start a 12 step program, you know like AAA. We could have virtual meetings, say........here would be good.....and we could have an annual convention.....maybe at a different theme park each year. Yeah, A Grand Gathering. Oops...guess that defeats the purpose of 12 step. Ok, instead we'd require people to make a pilgrimage 12 times a year....yea, 12 is good.

On these boards all I can say is join the crowd. We are taking our 11th trip in 11 years in June. We joined DVC about a year and a half ago. I do the Dis multiple times everyday. There are definatley worse things to be addicted to!

I totally understand. I'm already not looking foward to the day we come back from our trip. I so love reading everything here & the responses are great. I think it will be a wonderful place to relive the magic once I return & till I plan my next trip. (Also, I'm sure I'll go through the "I'm Jealous" stage at some point reading about everyones trips!) ;)
