For those who will be staying in Cocoa Beach before the 3/31 Wonder cruise, I contacted the priest at Our Savior's Church and he gave me the following information:
6 a.m. mass on the beach (don't have directions yet where on the beach as he's sending them to me)
8 a.m and 10:30 a.m. in the church.
My kids were very excited to go to mass at the beach even though it will be 6 a.m. This is something they can never do at home.

The mass on the beach is so awesome - I go to Easter Masses for it is blessed with a beautiful breeze off the ocean but most of all a brilliant sunrise - The father that is saying Easter Mass this year survived a brutal beating just a few months ago and this I understand will be his first time back so we expect a lot of parishners to be there -The services is held just North of the end of 520. If you will call me at the shop (800-950-4559) - I will have more information for you.
Meanwhile have a wonderful time on your cruise.
Stay safe

Shirley, I saw stories about that on the Orlando news while were visiting the Mouse last month. I wondered if you knew him.

Just in case someone isn't planning to leave the ship I thought I'd mention when we were aboard the Magic for Ash Wednesday they had AM services and PM services. You all should have a lovely service no matter where.

Yes, the folks who will be sailing on the 3/30 Magic will have a priest onboard. It's really only the folks on the 3/31 Wonder who really need to worry about finding an Easter service in Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach.

Hi Dave,
Yes I know Father Heslin - He is a fine, upstanding priest who was trying to help the young man that beat him into almost "another world". He does a beautiful job of saying the mass and this I am sure is more special for he survived when he wasn't suppose to by the medical reports anyhow - Guess God had better plans for him like Easter mass.
Hope all is well in your world. Give the family my regards - went to Roberto's today and thought of you and yours :-)

Shirley I am so glad to hear Fr Heslin has recovered!! I have prayed for him several times since we were on the 2-2-2002 Magic and were in Cocoa Beach when the unfortunate incident occured.
I am sure many prayed for him and I am so glad to hear the good news. I never thought to post here to ask how he was, but I'm glad the news is good. Happy Easter!!!
