Ok you guys. I read MissMichelle and scottny trip reports and decided I needed to do this to get myself focused on getting to Orlando.
Back story, so no one gets mad at me later.
My fiance and I have been together since sophmore year of high school, so just under 5 years.
My family is a Disney family through and through. I'm 19, and growing up my family went about twice every year, give or take a few. Well my fiance has never been, and when we first got together, up until the last year or so could not understand my disney obsession. (I go through Castle withdrawals. My first and favorite thing to do is walk down main street to the Castle yay) We'll we moved out into our own home a little under a year ago. I found the DIS about then, and every night I was telling him about this that and the other.
We decided to go May 2008 for a week. Well, life happened, and needless to say, we could not afford it. So we then started discussing going september 6-13 IF they offer free dining again... thats the DISers might get mad at me part. If we don't go in September, I dont want people upset about my trip report. It may get pushed back a bit, but we will be going in '08.
Well this brings us to last night. By the way my fiances name is Buddy.
Buddy: "What's keeping us in Louisiana?
Me (Ashley): Well bills needing to be paid off and our families and jobs guess.
Buddy: Ok lets get our bills paid off and move to Florida. I want to work at Disney.
Ashley:....... what? (this coming from the man who hasnt even been to Disney yet)
Buddy: Lets do it. Lets go. Well apply to disney as soon as we get our bills paid and then find an appartment down there. Or stay with Jacob for a while. (He is buddys friend who just moved to go to a music school down there.)
Ashley: Ok lets go.
So in September hopefully, we are going down for his first trip and to look for an appartment!

(I am showing you the original Disney family because my daddy is talking about maybe going with us this year.) This is the Disney Family about 4 years ago. Daddy (Joe 44), Brother (Joseph now 14 and way way way bigger than this), you all know Winnie the Pooh!, Me (at the time I think I was maybe 15), and Momma (Ginger 44). This is the Disney crew that has been going for the last 16 years or so. Although we could and every now and then liked to stay in a moderate/deluxe, we usually stayed at one of the All-Stars because we were never at the hotel long eoung to matter. We usually need two parks and a water park in a day plus DTD every evening. Ask me how thats done!!!

Now on to the current cast: (used to work for a photographer, he took our pictures, knew I didnt particularly like heights so had Buddy do this to me.)
I'm on top. Hello :cheer2: I'm 19, and I'm an accounting assistant/receptionist for an industrial supplies company.
Buddy is on the bottom.
He is also 19. I hopefully can get him on the DIS (crosses fingers):woohoo: Right now he is working for a soil/water test lab called Gulf Coast Analytical Laboritories, and has probably at one time or another saved you from drinking bad water yay!
TTFN!!!!

I'm happy for you guys for going after what you want. Working for Disney is my dream too. I keep trying to convince my hubby to relocate to FL after he's completed his nursing degree. Hey, nursing is his dream job so I should be able to have mine too, right?;)

You should DEFINITELY be able to have you own dream girl!
From almost my first trip until I was about 15, I wanted to be a Disney animator (so did my dad). Then I realized although I have the artistic talent.... I'm not good enough to draw the same picture over and over again with only tiny changes.
Then came the Disney event planner/ vacation planning dream. I think I could definitely still handle that!
My hubby (just gunna call him that because all were missing is a piece of paper saying that legally were married) doesnt completely understand my obsession, but he's getting there. I can't wait for his first trip!

I have never done it either. I may not be able to do it because I don't think you can mix promos and I am not losing my BCV. No way. So we will do the deluxe dining plan.
There r threads that explain it. search for it they r out there. :lmao:

Now we have another kind of a problem. Lovely.
We're suppose to be getting married May 8th, 2009.
Do we move this year and plan a wedding long distance/or one in Florida?
OR
Do we hold off and move next summer after we get married?

I'd say plan the wedding in Disney. Make your way over to the wedding boards. They are a great resource. Planning a wedding in Disney is probably one of the easiest weddings to plan. Aim for that May 2009 date. You will be able to book it starting this May.

I second the Disney wedding!! What could be better than getting married at Disney World! I wish I would have thought of that when I got married. And I don't think it's necessary to move the date. The disney vacation planner job sounds like a fun job. It sounds like you have a solid plan for the future. Congrats on the upcoming wedding! :goodvibes

Hi,
I'm glad you are posting, but you are in the regular Trip Board. We actually have a pre-trip board. I am going to move you there until your trip.
I have a friend on the DIS, that lives in Orlando. She loves it, yet she says Orlando is brutal. I try to find her link.

I would say see if you like it down there. Have the wedding where you are so more family can come and most times you get money as wedding presents so use that to move right after your wedding.

Ok so no Big Family trip!
Josephs grades are apparently not good... and mom says "I can't deal with Buddy for that long"
Still talking Daddy into going though. Yes I'm a daddys girl, and Disney just wouldnt be the same without him.
We might talk Buddys family into it though since none of them have ever been except his moms sisters family (they are DVC though). NO DISNEY EVER IS SOOOOO NOT RIGHT!!!

You are sooo right! Everyone should be exposed to Disney. Otherwise they don't know what they're missing. On our first family trip my mom was like o.k. my family's going so I guess I'll go. Now she's talking about AP's, DVC, and retiring to Florida to work at Disney! And my poor children never stood a chance! They have been thoroughly absorbed in Disney since birth.:thumbsup2 Does everyone get along in his family? Would they be fun travel companions?

EVERYONE gets along in his family. It would be a wonderful trip if I could get them all to go. Lets see with his imediate family it would be... 15 people including us. Wow I could tour guide a Grand Gathering for us all!

You guys I'm stumped on what to do.
Should I plan everything out (since DF is a Disney virgin) or should we go "commando" like my family always has?
We love not having set places to be a certain times. But I want him to get the full experience. My family has been so many times that if we miss something, oh well we've seen it before and can see it again. But hes NEVER SEEN ANY OF IT!!!! :confused3 HELP!!!!

I would make a plan but you don't have to stick to it. just basically an outline.
Commando is so exhausting. :lmao:

I unorganized organizer. I'm great at the organizing/planning part....its the actually taking the advice and following it. bleh.
hm commando exhausting? hmmmm
Lets seee a day in Disney with the Goudeau Family:
-Daddy wakes up at 6 (human clock) and goes to the AS-Sports food court and gets everyone breakfast while mom does her "I have to look pretty in Disney for people I'll never see again.
-Head the parks, get through bag check, and be waiting to be let through the turnstiles and rope drops yay!
-Do any ride we feel like at the time.
-Eat at Pecos Bills
-Get suits on quickly and go to TL
-Stay at TL until after the "3 pm HUGE WAVES LAST AN HOUR"
-Go back to AS and change quickly
-DTD
-Disney quest for an hour or so for Daddy and Joseph
-Marketplace for mom and me
-Dinner at either House of Blues or Rainforest cafe
-Then to whichever park has the EMH to watch the night shows/fireworks and ride more rides
-Then next day to it all agin!
We normally go for a week or more...... We never get tired... would you?

I'm joining in for your PTR! If you are going during the free dining promotion, I think you may need to plan at least a little. The TS restaurants get booked really fast (from what I have read on here), so you may want to make a few ADR's so that you can have some dining options.
lilpixiebabe101
03-11-2008, 07:26 PM
Thats when we're TRYING to go, but we're not too into the "sit down for an hour and a half dinner when we could be out in the parks". We'll probably end up using most of our TS as CS instead with maybe Cinderella's Royal Table (cause DF wants to propose to me again there, but that wouldn't even be on DDP cause your meal gets included in the package for the engagement stuff) and Crystal Palace for breakfast one morning.

I would get sick of cs meals. I like to relax for awhile. I must be getting old or lazy, commando is not for me anymore. I found going slow and taking it all in is so much better.

maybe as things start to actually work out with going, DF will decided thats the kind of trip he wants...... goodness help me if he does, I dont know know how to do Dis like that haha...
We do the sit down restaurants at night, but they arent like Boma or Ohana's. I think the closest we got to a restaurant like those was Whispering Canyon or Crystal Palace or Cinderellas Table (and the second two were ALWAYS for breakfast). And even then we walked up, we didnt make ressies :scared1: YES I KNOW! NO RESSIES!!!!

I would make some ressie's even if yuo don't use them u can cancel them. I think free dining this year is going to be a little more crowded than last year. but I could be wrong. hopefully.

Are you sure that you can use TS credits for CS meals? It sounds like the dinning plan might not be for you. And free dinning is usually only available when you buy a package...ie you have to buy at least 1 day ticket for everyone. You said you have AP's right? Hopefully Free dinning info will come out in April from Disney....that will help you decide things.
As for your wedding...if money is tight and your family is big then a wedding at disney would be a huge amount of $$$$$. What do you have planned now? (I got married in 2006)
Good luck with all the plans...

My 2 cents:
Well, DH and I sold & bought a house 2 weeks before our wedding. (We also got a hurricane bonus! ) It was REALLY stressful.
IMHO, I would plan the wedding, have it where you live for your large families to easily attend, and then move down to Orlando. Disney will always be there...You don't want to be Godzilla-Bride because you're overly-stressed.

Yeah you can trade TS/CS. We talking about getting AP since I know well be there for sure next May, but I guess I'll just have to look when the stuff comes out for it (if they have Free Dining this year). And then weight our budget then on which would be better AP or package and FD. The only good thing about the FD for us would be, I eat every like 3 hours (very very fast metabolism) and DF eats alot in general (feel like I'm feeding a few teenagers at times). With free dining we can eat the B, L, and D, and then pay OOP for when we get hungry again (cause it seems I always am).
I'm pretty sure our families are going to pay for our wedding, so its not our budget (mostly anyway) that it will be one. Plus being a part time event planner helps me out with venders, etc. We haven't even started our plans yet though, since we have my moms college graduation in May and then my parents are planning a huge convention for the same time. We're kinda waiting for all the smoke to clear before we start really looking into anything.

Your very right. Were high school sweethearts, and we were those kids in high school that were pretty much in the middle and kinda hung out with everyone. In turn this is bad, we have a huge guest list and less than half is family. Glad a family member owns an event hall!

Definitely. My DF said the other day if we like the move, he might enlist, so we can get relocated every few years. I said "nope. no navy brats for us." And he laughed at me. I'm nervous cause I've never been away from more than 10 days from my family (and even then my grandmother went with me to england). That should be interesting especially since we're with his family ALLL the time (very close knit).
Hope someone from VA stumbles onto my lonely thread and helps yay!

i would at least have a guide line if you are gonna get the Free Dining plan and have some TS meals. You don't have to stick to it (I'm a planner to the T but we never stick to it word for word). Plus, I'm sure you know with going so many times that there is no way you can make sure Buddy gets to do everything. If you even try you will start pulling your hair out. Just relax and have a good time, do the things you have time for and have planned for and just lean over and tell Buddy, "if we miss something we can do it next time honey! Just know that there will always be a next time." :cloud9:

Sorry it's been so long since a new update guys, but mine and DF life has taken an unexpected turn in the last week or so.
As you can see from ^, we are no longer planning a move to Florida. Still hoping for our trip though.
We are in the process of apartment hunting in Virginia right outside of Richmond. (Anyone has any good recommendations that would be awesome!!!)
One of DF's really good friends lives up there and has decided to move into an apartment. We started talking about it with him, and he has convinced us to move. It would be a very financially stabling move for us. Plus a ton of new experiences. Our families are about 92 % behind us. (The other 8% is them being selfish about us leaving them. hehehe. This was what DF's grandmother told us.) But we talked about it. And since we are so young with no kids yet, it would be a great experience, and if it doesn't work out when can always come back home (specially with no kids to worry about dragging around the country).
And since all this occured, we talked to a few people about them purchasing our house/ knowing someone who might want to purchase it, we've had enough great feedback that this seems to be pointing towards our next step in life.
:woohoo: :scared1: :dance3: :confused3 :thumbsup2  :cheer2: :scared:
wow, in one sitting i read about you movin to florida and now you change it on me to Virginia huh? I've heard Richmond is a great place to live. Sounds like it's a great opportunity for ya'll. Hope everything works out! :wizard:

I am sitting in my computer chair a very excited woman because my trip IS for sure going to happen. Buddy just said that even if we just put everything on credit cards, then thats what we'll do!!! He's a wonderful husband-like person!!!
September 6th-13th All-Star Sports Touchdown here we come!!!
I'm working on a tentative itinerary since I'm dealing with two very picky eating Disney virgins.
Oh yes that reminds me: Cast member update!!!
Chris- Buddys best friend, who lives in Virginia, who we are going to share an apartment with. He will be joining us! Maybe even his mom and brothers. Who knows?
Jacob and Krystal- They live in Orlando. (Buddys childhood best friend and his fiance) He is going to school at FullSail (spelling?) and she is soon starting an intern for Disney in DTD. So they will probably we joining us at some point in the parks!
Update coming within the next hour or so!!!

hehe Carla my little post doesn't know what to do with all the posting love!!! :woohoo:
I am sitting in my computer chair a very excited woman because my trip IS for sure going to happen. Buddy just said that even if we just put everything on credit cards, then thats what we'll do!!! He's a wonderful husband-like person!!!
September 6th-13th All-Star Sports Touchdown here we come!!!
I'm working on a tentative itinerary since I'm dealing with two very picky eating Disney virgins.
Oh yes that reminds me: Cast member update!!!

ah picky food wise....well, you still have quite a lot of choices to pick from. If there's not something at the park he'd like you could always try the resort resturants too. That's what we're doing this year.

That's awesome that you get to take newbies!! I LOVE doing that :lovestruc It's almost like going to WDW for the first time yourself because you get to share in their excitement and see the world through their eyes. I keep trying to get some of my friends that have never been to WDW to come with us but no one seems to want to spend the $. :headache: They just don't understand how awesome it is. I hear you. It's just not possible to do that when you're going during free dining. If you don't have ADR's you're not gonna be able to get into a TS resturant. They were turning walk-ins away everywhere last year. It was crazy.
You can hop on the empty bus line on Sept 13th. And I see you are not actually leaving until Sept 14th. So you will still have a full day the day we arrive. Maybe we can plan some sort of DIS meet on that day. What do you think?

Guess I'm used to normal season. We used to be able to walk up to CRT and get a table without too much wait at all.
I'd love a Dis meet. Told DF about the LGMH, and he's ready for the hunt! We'll probably leave about lunch time on the 14th. Do you know what you possible plans are that day?

Yeah, Free Dining people just go mad crazy with the ADR's. I know because I'm one of those Mad Crazy people :lmao:
If you want to do a Dis meet it'd be better for us after we arrive on the 13th if possible for ya'll. sept 14th is my birthday and we'll be with some of my other friends that day too. In the morning we'll be at EPCOT with a lunch ADR at Le Cellier and then that evening we'll be at MK but I'm guessing you'll be gone by then.
That's awesome that your DF is already ready to hunt for the LGMH's. I'll tell ya, they're not as easy to spot as one might think. Only DIS meets I've had so far are the ones I've planned. I haven't just run into a DISer yet. :confused3

sweet, I know we have an ADR for the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at 8pm so anytime before that would be perfect. I think we are going to end up at MK or EPCOT before that so we can just take the monorail over to The Poly. Do ya'll have park hopper tickets?
I just noticed that this page is mostly just you and me talking back and forth. I guess I talk too much....:rotfl: you didn't know what you were getting yourself into when you pimped your thread over at mine huh? :rolleyes1

Fine by me. I like talking too! We are DEFINITELY going to have the Ulimate Park Hopper with Water PArks and more options with two or so parks a day plus TL and DQ. Sounds like a plan. I have a feeling that those will be our two most visited parks.
DF says he's going to beat your and Chris' pin collection.... sad to say I have about 20 on my tinkerbell lanyard. About 20 I have no more space for, and see some all the time online that I want.... I have to get a pin book....:thumbsup2

Okay good....I don't have anything else to do a lot of the time at work so I sit on here and talk to whoever will talk back to me
Okay, so since you have a park hopper meeting us at a park somewhere won't be a problem. Good!! :3dglasses I'm thinking we'll probably end up at MK. Like you, I have the need to see the Castle as soon as I arrive.
Oh he thinks so huh? I'd like to see what it would take to do that :rotfl: Right now we have over 100 pins with more on the way that I've ordered off eBay in the last week or so....we also plan on buying a lot of pins to trade while in WDW and I'm sure we'll buy other pins we can't live without while we're there. He better start saving his money :rotfl2: That sounded a little conceited huh? I'm not that way, I promise! I know my collection wouldn't be as large as it is though if it weren't for my local source to the pins at WDW and my grandmother. They spoil me rotten!! Tell your DF to start telling all your friends and family that he collects disney pins and they might just add to his collection!! And maybe try and get his local friends to start picking some up for ya'll too.
Definately invest in one of those pin binders or the pin bag. The bag is about $34 but you might be able to find one on eBay for cheaper. It's a nice way to keep all your pins safe. Btw, I'd love to see pictures of the pins you already have :thumbsup2

Well since it looks like th 13th is going to be a MNSSHP, I figured DF would not want any part of that, but just a little while ago on the phone, he thought it was really cool. Go figure! So we'll end up there for that night.
I'm the same way at work. I answer the phone all day for an industrial supply/wire rope shop. I sit at my computer and do DIS and work on the company catalog all day.
Well we have DFIL's birthday tonight, and Im helping mom sell her daylilies at the LSU Spring Garden Show most of the weekend; I'll try to find some time to take and upload some pin porn.
He wants to collect everything, especially Jungle Book (told him there aren't too many of those). I'm pretty much a tink/princess fan. I'm just ready for the Monday when I can wear my "Just engaged" pin!!!

ah sounds a bit like what I do all day. The majority of my work is on the computer so I have the DIS pulled up as well as other work stuff. :thumbsup2 Plus it doesn't hurt that I work for my Dad.
Sweet! Whenever you get a chance. No hurry. ;) Y'all doing anything special for DFIL's bday?
Oh yes....I want to collect everything too. But so far I've started out with my favorites. I'm slowly dipping into some of the other stuff too now. Tell your DF that Maleficent, Robin Hood, Jungle Book and Churnabog are some of the hardest/most valuable. Also, if ya'll go for star wars weekends ever then those pins are a pretty hot item too. If you guys do go for MNSSHP on the 12th then get those pins too. The limited edition pins and the special pins from events are the best ones to get. Check out www.pinpics. com. Not all the disney pins are on that web site but a LOT of them are.

Yeah, we're going over to his dad's and the whole family's coming over for cake and ice cream. I'm a little worried for DF and DBIL .... my dad in law is getting a taser as a surprise for his birthday.... He loves the show cops and freaks out everytime they pull the taser out, so they got him one. Everyone will be running away from him.
I love collecting the pin.... hard part is trading away, but I got some really nifty old tink pins last time. But I had bout a couple of cheap 3 dollar pins at WOD almost as soon as we got there.
I'm that way at work. Long as I do what I'm suppose to do, my boss doesn't care really.

Yeah, I thought trading would be hard to do but if you have duplicates or pins you're not too fond of you can get rid of them that way. That's why I want to get a lot off eBay before we go in September. I'll just keep the ones out of the lot that I really like and trade the rest. :thumbsup2

I'm sure he will. My favs are the Cast Member pins for sure. And the ones from the parks in other countries. eBay gets so addicting.
The last time I was in the world other than my one day mini trip was last September. I think our dates were the 13th - 22nd or 23rd or something like that. I did a TR if you feel like checking it out. The link is in my siggie. You won't be able to comment on it since it's closed but all the links to my updates are on the first page. That's the trip that my disney pin obsession started on. It all started with the green hidden mickey pin.

And DF says "Still excited huh? What would you do if I went back to maybe?" .... I got all sad until he said j/k. Back in :cloud9: land:cheer2:

I'll have to find it on PinPics....haven't found it there yet in the hord of pins they have but it's the Disney "D" with the old MK/Epcot logo in the center. I have a picture of it on photobucket but it's about time for me to get ready to head home from work so I'll post it for you later. You see my avatar? That's also a Disney pin that I have a tattoo of. And I have the pin to boot!! :thumbsup2 It's from Tokyo Disneyland :goodvibes
Setting a $ limit is a good idea. It's really really easy to get carried away! :rolleyes1 You will definitely find some great pins while trading. And if you can't trade everything at WDW in September you can try and find someone to trade with on PinPics.

I haven't actually had one for about 2 years because on mine and DF's salaries; EVERYthing extra is being saved for our trip. And I got really upset the other day at Barnes & Nobles when I saw how expensive all the books were. I know I'm not the only one who thinks they are expensive. I was thinking about just writing it, getting it copywrited, then printed and bound myself. Everybody these days has internet, so it's not like they can't look at the fancy pictures online that make the books SOOO expensive.

wow! That really sucks! :headache: Hope you are able to get the cell phone problem fixed. Those ADR's are important.

I know! Just when I'd finally got organized and planned out my trip with ADR's included, I get screwed up. Maybe Disney and the cells phones are conspiring cause they know I'm a Disney commando Nazi!:rolleyes1

Alright, so no moving for us. Least not out of state.
- We are still going to sell our trailer, but we are going to rent a townhouse in The Acadian Place (for all the LA people, if you've heard anything about this one, let me know!). We are about 20 minutes outside of Baton Rouge, and would both like better jobs in the city.
- DF wants to apply to work at BestBuy (a dream come true for the video gaming, computer person!).
- I would like to start working in a travel agency... or anything not my current job (although it does let me DIS all day!)
Sooo in the next few weeks our lives are going to be quite fun!
Come on lurkers. Show some love!:lovestruc

Ok well, I promised I'd post my engagement pictures.
Technically, they weren't engagement pictures at the time since we took them back in March of '07 when I worked for Selser's Photography (free yay). But everyone who sees them thinks they are our engagement pictures. I'll probably just get some pictures taken later with his mom's ring to add to these.

It was definitely great. We spent 6 hours taking pictures that day. You know DF was thrilled about that. He was going to do our wedding technically for free, I was going to work hours every weekend for him. There's just not enough days in a week anymore. Yep go get caught up! Hopefully there are things worth catching up on! :3dglasses

Alrighty.
I say DF and I have been together since Sophomore year of high school. Well thats not technically true. Some things will be left out because they will always be bad subjects when brought up between me and DF. Thats ok we love each other  !
We dated sophomore year of high school, well most of it anyway. We had a misunderstand (we both thought the other wanted to break up, so we broke up). Not until this past November '07 did we find out about our false thinking, but I'm skipping ahead of myself. We were in the process of trying to get back together our Junior year right before homecoming. I was already going with one of our other friends (had decided to go before we were getting back together, and we'd already bought the matching clothes). DF wasn't going to go at all, really doesn't like dances, but my BFF at the time didn't have a date. So I got them to decide to go together, and me and DF were suppose to be together after we got to the dance.... or at least that was the plan till BFF decided she wanted him for herself apparently. DF was a typical high school boy and BFF wasn't um... whats the word.... she was quite a touchy feely individual if ya catch my drift. Well, after the dance he didn't want to hurt her feelings (she and I had already fallen out over this at this point). Well my friend was THE definition of Drama Queen and DF got tired of it really fast.... not either of our shining moments, but we um pretty much were that song... "My Dirty Little Secret" if any of you have heard it. He stayed with her until after Prom because she already had everything planned, and we didn't want to ruin it for her. (Bit of back story in here. His mom and I were BFF during this entire time. She knew everything and kept me informed of everything. .... His mom fought her first bout of breast cancer our sophomore year.) The end of the year, his mom, Stacey, found out her cancer was back full force (doctors gave her a year at this point). Senior year rolls around. I was the only one pretty much that he would talk to. Again thought we were in the process of getting back together. Him and that same BFF (who I'd finally made peace with) are miraculously back together. Alot of bs happened throught the next month because him mom passed away. My ex-bff/my practically mom's "future daughter in law" (as she called herself) caused a whole mess of trouble about wanting to sing at the funeral, she didn't want DF talking to me if he needed a shoulder to lean on, saved me and my two best friends seats about 15 rows back while she sat in the family section (when his family and him found out later they were PISSED. Each of them just thought when they didnt see me, that I was just in the row behind them or something. DF actually thought I had been sitting behind him ), just lots of mess that didn't need to happen in an already bad time. But DF and once again had our "Dirty Little Secret" senior year. After Christmas, he broke up with ex-bff for another girl. (He tells me that this entire time he didn't think I cared about him, but he was trying to make me jealous.) Well I did the same thing and dated his best friend. (This is the bad part, so I won't go into it at all.) Needless to say all of our relationships from senior year ended before summer. We didn't really even talk all summer. We both start college. Him at community, me at LSU. I pledge a frat (yeah co-ed) and met this really cool guy that I started to date. One of the LSU football home games, DF went with that BFF of his the game. I was with my BF at the game too, and I'm ashamed to admit, but I tried to make him jealous... apparently it worked! He and I started talking everyday. I ended it with the other guy, and we kinda just easied into dating agian after Christmas of '07. After that, we have never spent more than a day apart. And I can count on one hand how many times that has been. We've talked about it so many times since we've been back together, but we both loved each other that entire time. Everyone knew how we felt about each other, but no one would tell the other person. :rolleyes1 We were smart back then. Give us a break! haha! It was understood we were getting married. His dad gave him his mom's ring to give to me. He hasn't officially proposed yet, he wanted to wait to do it officially in Disney. So thats our story. It's kinda crazy and wacky. It'll come in handy though teaching our children when they are older about lessons in love and patience. His mom always told me that if I gave him time he'd come around because he still loved me. I'm glad I did.
I love you DF!

We'll me and DF started really talking about our trip and decided, "Hey if we're going to have two double beds, might as well put em both to good use". So we are inviting a couple friend of ours. I swear they are our twins lost at birth. :lmao:
Let's see time for Fuzzy Disney Math!
Just me and DF:
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
Total:
$1,425.22
This is with a 10 day park hopper checking in on Sept. 6th and checking out on Sept 14th.
Me, DF, my DBFF, DF DBFF:
Disney's All-Star Sports Resort
Total:
$2,398.28
Again with 10 day hopper and same check-in/out
This second option would make our trip : $1199.14
In my mind of DFM, this saved us :226.08 for yummy snacks like dole whips or turkey legs and more souvenir money. AND we get to spend 10 days with our best friends that live an hour away from us. YAY

I love you DF!
wow! What a story! Glad you guys finally worked everything out and now will never be separated again :yay: Those relationships that you have to work for are almost always the ones that last for a lifetime.

Good morning girls and Scott! :yay:
(By the way Scott, I met someone on x-box live playing Uno the other night. I had to ask him if he had a brother/cousin etc in NYC because he sounded just like you, laugh and everything (listened to your podcast the other nite).) :rotfl:
I have some questions for my Sept. free dining girls...
a.) We're getting there on Saturday and leaving on Sunday. Are those two days dining days or not? :confused3
b.) Idk if Cheri's going to MNSSHP or not, but Carla, are you and Chris going to dress up this year? DF wants us too. Surprised the heck outta me.

a) for every night you are staying you have free dining. So if you are booked 7 nights (can't remember how long your stay is) then you have 7 days worth of free dining. Saturday and Sunday included :thumbsup2 Only thing that comes out of pocket is the tip for your waiter.
b) Yes, we are dressing up this year. We semi-decided on doing a pirate theme with some of our other friends that are coming with us but I'm not sure if I wanna do that. I've been looking at other costumes online and have found some really awesome ones. That is awesome that your DF wants to dress up! :woohoo: so far this (http://www.buycostumes.com/)<~~~(it's a link) is the best costume web site I've found. Do you have any ideas what you might want to dress up as? Only thing you have to keep in mind is that Disney does not allow masks. :goodvibes

That is also the costume site I usually use! DF said something about wanting to be Robin Hood. So Idk. I wouldn't mind being maid marrian, but idk. Can you do Disney costumes like Tink or not? I know for the PPP you couldn't.

That would be a cool costume :thumbsup2 I'm pretty sure you can dress up as Disney characters. I know a lot of girls go as Minnie Mouse. That's why they say no masks though...so no one gets confused between guests and actual characters. That sucks that they don't let people dress up like Tink for the P&PP....weird.

I think someone already mentioned this, but you would have to purchase a Magic your Way pass if you wanted free dining. Unfortunately the Annual Pass idea wouldn't work.
I won!!!!!!!!! now I'm going to crash. Hope you have a good rest of the night! :cloud9:
congrats on winning the pin!
YAY for an itinerary!!! My first ever!!!
Alrighty. Depending on work schedules when the time comes around we have two options.
Friday, September 5th- Leave and drive through the night. Buddy (Tigger) and Chris (Cheese) take turns driving. I hate driving and want no part in it. If we do this, then we should arrive around 6-7 in the morning. If this is the case, I want to spend the day in Magic Kingdom! (It would suck to be in the World and not have been to the castle yet!!!) The boys want to go to the Lego store and Disney Quest FIRST.:confused3
OR
Saturday, September 6th- Leave early in the a.m. I'm talking, 5 or so. If we do this, we'll get into Orlando around supper time. We can check-in, eat, and then they can do the Lego store till there hearts content, and I can go to the World of Disney! (Then start out the next morning the right way with rope drop at MK. :cloud9: )
^ Basically a go with the flow day either way.
Sunday, September 7th-
- Wake up early and eat at End Zone Food Court
- 9:00 Rope Drop for Magic Kingdom :yay:
- Explore and go on rides at MK
- 3:00 - Dream Parade
- Explore and go on rides at MK OR go to TL
- 5:45 - Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table.
(Sidebar: Buddy is going to propose to me again during dinner. He's going to set up the rose and glass slipper thing. Yay! My dream place to be proposed to! )
- 9:00 - Wishes
- MK Evening EMH
Monday, September 8th-
- Wake up early and eat at End Zone Food Court
- 8:00 - Rope Drop at AK
- Explore AK (aka run as fast as possible to get FP for K Safari :grouphug: )
- 12:30 - Tusker House for lunch
- Explore AK some more or TL
- 5:15 - 50's Prime Time Cafe @ MGM
- Explore MGM
- 8:30 Fantasmic

Friday, September 12th-

Saturday, September 13th-
- Another "Do whatever day!"
- 6:45 Boatwrights
- "Do whatever evening"
Sunday, September 14th-
- Maybe MK one last time? :scared:
- Long trek home hopefully after a Dis meet.
You might be going to Typhoon lagoon after the 3:00 MK parade and you have a reservation at CRT? I'm so
Also you say you are possibly going to TL between LMA at 3:00 and dinner at 5:45. How are you gonna do that? Also do y'all drive around WDW? (I thought I saw you took the bus) If you have to wait for all those buses you'll lose a lot of time that way, too.
You say you are not going Commando, but wow! :rotfl2:
Wassup everybody I've heard that I've been told to join this thing so I did by the way if your confused STRIFEsHORSEman=lilpixiebabe101 DF I believe is the abbreviation so what is this DISNEY thing all about?
Oh and scottny now that I joined I think Biff needs to show a little love to the DIS forums.:woohoo:
Hi lilpixiebabe's DF!
i remember why I hate itineraries...
Now I'm thinking.... we're gunna be running around with all these ressies.... and we'll have to do stuff around food, not the other way around.... bleh....
what happeneded to waking up, looking for which bus station was the emptiest, and going there?
:confused3 guess you could always blow free dining--but then again, which route would you rather take?
I think I might be an hour ahead of you? Not sure. I'm not good with time zones :rotfl:
But I do get off early either way. Come in at 7am and go home at 2:30pm.
Officially on my way home now. I'll be on later. :goodvibes
yes you're an hour ahead of us Louisianians.
and I'm STILL jealous! :snooty:

Goodness. You did get caught up!
a.) AP was a fantasy of mine till Buddy actually told me we could go the regular way in Sept for free dining.
b.)I didn't really read too well about what the afternoon thing was in MGM/DHS. It's the Stars and Motor Cars parade. I didn't know if Buddy would want to do the Lights, Motor, Action Show (thats what I thought the 3:00 o'clock thing was. Silly moment!), so I put TL down on the itinerary since that's probably what we'll end up doing most afternoons. I'm making all my ADR's tomorrow, so after that I'll know my ressies for sure. Those where what I was hoping for before I started actually re-working my trip. I know, I know. I'm still going commando, but at least its planned commando! :rotfl2:
c.) Haven't decided which of the two days we wanna go yet, but gotta love Epcot EMH. When we were going the week before we were doing MNSSHP on tuesday and then Epcot on Friday, but Carlas doing MNSSHP on Friday so she can get both sets of pins hopefully. I don't think thats too shabby of an idea either.
But, I digress. I'm working on my new itinerary now. Told Carla I'd try to have it up for later tonight.:surfweb:

A.) Alrighty. We are staying put in Louisiana. Buddy's grandma has been getting sick lately, so we're here for as long as she needs us.
B.) Buddy has a new job. He is now working for his uncle and is training to be a manager at his chain of convenience stores. Management is always a good thing! Yay for good experience. :yay:
C.) We will hopefully have two people joining us.
Tina (My DBFF) - Pretty much my twin. If you've even caught a glimpse at my personality, you've seen hers too. We're shorties. She will be starting Southeastern in the Fall. <---- would be the only reason keeping them from going with us.
Dustin (her Future Husband and Buddy's DBFF) :3dglasses :3dglasses - He is a police deputy in Livingston Parish. Again, except for the fact that he's a bit taller and slimmer and lighter colored, he is Buddy's twin. See geeks with glasses above! :lovestruc (love you honey if and when you read this)

MNSSHP is a BLAST! I am soooo ready to go again. I am hoping to do it on the 16th, if that date is released as a firm date - right now I think it's tentative? If not - then I will be there on the 19th as well.

Dustin (her Future Husband and Buddy's DBFF) - He is a police deputy in Livingston Parish. Again, except for the fact that he's a bit taller and slimmer and lighter colored, he is Buddy's twin. See geeks with glasses above! :lovestruc (love you honey if and when you read this)
D.) We are now going during the week of September 13th-September 21st. (Sorry Scott we'll still be there a bit when y'all are.) But my arm was twisted by my lovely DIS girls... ye know who ye be, arg!
E.) I'm posting the update of my trip itinerary next!
Sorry again to hear about Buddy's Grandmother
:yay: for management experience! :thumbsup2
:yay: for good friends possibly joining you. (if they do come are y'all going to be making ADR's to include them? If so, I hope they decide soon so that if they don't come it won't mess up your ADR's. I don't think adding more people is as big of a problem as taking them off)
:lmao: peer pressure? I would never do such a thing! I think it's a fantastical time to go either way. Last year that week was amazing! BEST time we've ever had at WDW!! :thumbsup2

She had a virus in her hands about two years ago that has left them virtually useless. I hope this isn't a relapse of the virus. One day she feels fine, the next she's exhausted and feels sick to her stomach all day.

Yeah Yeah. :grouphug: Peer Pressure like this rocks!!! Specially if the next week will be better than our original week!
I'm pretty sure I'm going to leave them as whatever. I don't wanna map out say another MGM day or something and Buddy completely hate MGM when we get there. I going to only make dinner ressies for those days, so we can decided from day to day which parks to go to in the morning and evening, so we can do all the things again that we want to when we want to do them. :cool1:

 yeah the ADR's don't really make much difference, really it's where you'll be during the day/evening. That's what happened last year with me and Cheri, when we were at the same park at the same time and needed to go to an ADR we just split up until later.

No, she's at home. She's seen the doctor. They don't know anything at the moment, which is never a good thing. :headache:
oh man, skipping around on jobs is never fun. Chris had quite a few job changes just before we got married and right after too but now he's got a job that he loves. Hope Buddy has found something he feels happy sticking with! :thumbsup2

Bummer your brother lost his cell phone! :headache: Glad I could help you come up with a creative pre-TR title. It's cute :thumbsup2
Well Team Weasel reminded me that my sig and my TR name didnt actually match anymore... still don't need to fix that. And I realized my TR name didn't match with my actual TR anyway.
I don't know how the week before is but I know the week we are going this year was awesome last year.
Yay! I'm excited about slower crowds. We used to go at either Christmas or Summer time. We went one year at Mardi Gras with my dads brothers family and my grandparents. OMG it was HORRIBLE!!!! :scared1: <----- is an understatement!
Cool that you have so many open days. I'm like Cheri though...I gotta have all my days planned otherwise I feel like I'm missing something :rotfl:
The commando gene just won't leave me. Plus Buddy's not a big "Oh we're suppose to be here now?" kind of person. So I figured a half and half trip (with the second part at least having ADR's that we WILL follow was better than completely commando or completely planned) :cutie:
yup yup :thumbsup2
 guys are so funny about those video games. geesh
Chris might have to come play with them at some point. Buddy's talking about bring his x-box 360 and COD4 for any nights that we feel like just "resting" aka "Buddy is having x-box withdrawals"...... and maybe this is why I'm bringing my laptop.... hmm live updates hehe
 yeah the ADR's don't really make much difference, really it's where you'll be during the day/evening. That's what happened last year with me and Cheri, when we were at the same park at the same time and needed to go to an ADR we just split up until later.
Yeah that's true. I'm hoping the morning we have Chef Mickey's everyone will agree to go resort hoping on the Monorail with me... All the times I've ever been, all I've ever done is ride through all the Monorail resorts. Never once stopped. :sad1:
:rotfl: it takes a while to get the hang of things here on the DIS. I didn't know how to multi quote either until someone told me how when I first signed up for the board. Glad you figured it out!

I turned my DH into a Disney lover. After last year's trip (his 2nd one) he's the one that suggested we go back! Referring to the bounceback, he says, 'Let's do it, let's book it. You want to go again, right?"

I'm hoping that's what Buddy says after this trip! I'll go crazy if he doesn't like it. Alrighty. We went to Tennessee. Me and some of my friends. One morning we woke up and didn't know what we wanted to do. SOOO we sat and talked about it, and my friend clint remembered a place you could drive area that you could stop in various places to take pictures or to actually climb up on some of the smaller mountains. We'll he said at the end of this certain one is a gorgeous waterfall. Ok so we decide we're all in. <------ us at begining of trip to the mountain. We get there and there and the short trail that was 2 miles long was closed, so we figured we could handle the 5 mile one. :dance3: <----- still us.
This is the beginning of the trail.
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/lilpixiebabe101/mini%20trip/797946624_m.jpg
It's these people plus 3 mommys. :hippie:
We decide to play in the water right at the start just to get into the swing of things.
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/lilpixiebabe101/mini%20trip/n23447051_32864698_5541.jpg
^is right after my bff (the one in the red shirt) almost busted her butt. Apparently she hadn't noticed that we were all barefoot. She walked on out there in her tennis shoes and slipped and got them soaked. Soaking wet shoes + hiking trail = bad, so the girl with the curly black hair (thats the ex-bff from me and DF's story) let her borrow the flip-flips that we're in her back pack. :upsidedow <--- silly best friend
This next picture started a theme for me and the guys on the trip. Anything they could do I could do too. Like climb off the trail onto the very top of the mountain with my mom freaking the entire time. :thumbsup2
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/lilpixiebabe101/mini%20trip/n1205280038_970144_2201.jpg
And the real hike begins. And continues. And continues some more. After about 2 hours. The two other mom's and two of the girls get tired and stay behind. My bff who was walking in flip-flops now, got a a huge blister, and it started killing her, so they all stayed with her.
So me, my mom, sam (big dark guy), clint (skinny guy), joey (tall dude) gloria (black haired chick) and my mom continue on our treck to see this gorgeous waterfall. We get to a spot about 15 minutes later that somone said was the midway spot. It was a huge outcropping of rocks and boulders, so what do we do, me and the boys climb it of course. We could see the waterfall from the top and could tell it was closer than only half way there, so we climb down and continue on. :3dglasses
Finally we get to this about an hour or so later
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/lilpixiebabe101/mini%20trip/n23447051_32864731_3150.jpg
Yeah I know. Not the huge waterfall, but still really pretty and the pool beneath it was great to swim in for a while.
Then we decided to start the track back after resting a bit. Alright, side not here, I've been walking the creek this entire time with the boys barefoot, and never slipped once. Until this next picture.
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/lilpixiebabe101/mini%20trip/n23447051_32864728_1713.jpg
This is clint carrying the turtle he found, and as you can see, he's crossing a bridge...... Does ashley walk on the bridge? Of course not, she has to walk on the rocks in the creek WITH her tennis shoes on and fall and bust her booty! :headache:
We continue on our hike back and finally pick up out other resting members. They had been just playing around by the water taking pictures.
We get back to where the sign was (the one that told us it was only a 5 mile hike. And a guy was standing there talking to someone and said "ya know we really need to get that sign remade. It's 7.5 miles back there, not 5." We asked him if he was serious and he said yeah..... so we walked 15 miles to get to that baby waterfall and back! :teacher:
A few randoms from the trip-
http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii122/lilpixiebabe101/mini%20trip/n23447051_32864647_2843.jpg
Us standing at the look out point where you can see all the states... we were each standing on one. Clint by the way still doesn't doesn't know what he's looking out.

And this is actually all three of the boys in a tiny little closet at the hotel we stayed in when we were in Chattanooga. Yes I said ALL three of them!:scared1:

Excellent. You'd actually have to buy the drinks though. Durn the not turning 21 for another year at that point! :headache:
We've gotten so many lately since baseball is staring up, people asking about concession stand deliveries and banners and geez. :headache:

As far as location goes, as long as there's no newbie bartenders at Pop I think we'd be okay. And we could hang by the pool maybe. I love hanging by the pool. (didn't get to do that last year since our pool at Sports was closed :sad2: )

Ha ha I agree with Carla, can't call ya weasel when we see ya! I'm the resident "youngen".
The non-gamer DH's are welcome to join the women chatter. Just didn't know if they'd rather play games and hang out with the guys and drink beer and what-not.
Pop's fine. The 16th and the 18th of Sept. don't have Evening EMH. We could do it one of those nights. Me and DF could always ride over to Pop, DF could pick up Chris and Tat's kiddies from us there, and then us just have a grand 'ole time at Pop. (We never stayed at Pop, but my mom always loved her Black/White Russians from Sports.)
