Just had to tell someone and this seemed the best place.
For those of you who don't know I recently cancelled a 2 week holiday to WDW as my son, who suffers from a form of autism, decided that he couldn't fly, in other words we couldn't go to Florida:sad1: However Virgin promised to refund me with half of the total cost of the holiday, on the back of this I booked a week in DLRP, going by Eurostar. I have been waiting to get this money for weeks it seems and the people at Virgin have been most unhelpful.
Finally today the money has been put into my bank account. Now we know we can both pay for the holiday and have lots to spend.:thumbsup2
We just can't wait now to return to DLRP in July.:cheer2:

That must have been so dissapointing for you all but I'm glad the outcome was good.

I'm sure you're going to have an amazing time....... and loads of spending money too, wow.

Or, you could have less spending money and go twice !

Have you been to DLP before?

I must admit the temptation was there and I contemplated going in October as my DD, then 21, adores all things about Nightmare Before Christmas. Mind you since I did have a weeks holiday before Christmas in New York with DD, and no DH or DS, I think maybe, as he earns the money, let DH have a well earned rest/break. Oh yes and before you ask is idea of a break is not DLRP, quite the opposite in fact. He would rather be totally cut off from all civilisation!
Still both DS and myself expect to have a truly fantastic time without the 2 "grown-ups" in the family. Last time we went they came with us which meant we didn't get to see parades or fireworks!?! (We've actually been about 3/4 times before)
I think now I'll just have to make sure I put by enough money each year to go to DLRP with whoever wants to come out of the 3 of them, I'm sure this will be fine as long as I agree to visit some remote place in exchange.:confused3
Oh dear I'd better start making the dinner before everyone else appears!!
See you all later:grouphug:
